Very tasty sushi! Actually the best in the area! We have tried their sashimi combo which is really huge. So if you are a sushilover and you don’t order other starters this medium set we ordered will be enough to make 2 very full.
If you want want to order other starters than chose small sashimi combo.
They do have lunch options starting from 15CAD. Never tried cannot recommend but will try it next time.

I was shocked to find the interior quiet nice and modern since the exterior looks a bit run down. Street parking on Yonge is available - if you’re lucky.

I actually really enjoyed the food 5/5. Everything was delicious. We ordered a variety of rolls, tempura, gyoza (5 pieces for $10) and chicken teriyaki ($30). It was pretty pricy.

Service was good for the most part until I ordered a cocktail for myself and the waitress asked EVERYONE at our table to see their ID. Apparently they don’t serve alcohol unless EVERYONE at your table is over age, even if they aren’t the ones drinking. I asked “so because we have minors at the table, you are refusing to serve me ONE drink? ” The waitress then said she needed to get manager approval in order to serve me the overpriced beverage.

As someone who is smart serve certified and worked in restaurants for years, this was a little bizarre and annoying. This encounter left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Starbucks prices $$$ for McDonald’s service.

My recent experience at this sushi restaurant was a mix of positives and areas that could use improvement. The ambiance was pleasant, offering a comfortable and relaxed setting for a meal.

The sushi menu was varied, with a range of options to choose from. While the flavors were good, I couldn't help but notice that the freshness of the ingredients varied between dishes. Some pieces were wonderfully fresh and flavorful, while others fell a bit short.

The service was friendly.

The rolls we ordered were decent, but they didn't stand out as particularly unique or innovative. I appreciate the effort to include both traditional and modern options, but there was room for more creativity in the combinations and presentation.

In summary, this sushi restaurant offers a decent meal with a comfortable atmosphere, but there's room for improvement in terms of ingredient freshness and service. It's worth a visit if you're in the mood for sushi and are looking for a good option.

I always get lunch here, food service and atmosphere all good and consistently good even through covid.really glad there’s been no reduction of portions or massive jumps in price, and quality has remained fresh.seats are comfortable and a lot of room available

Ordered the Nabeyaki and Dinner Combo 2.
The tempera was good and the broth of the nabeyaki was yummy.
Vibe is casual and not too loud, Great place to have dinner with friends and family

This is my 3rd time coming here. Service continues to be great. Food is very tasty. I really like the friendly environment the restaurant offers and staff is polite and helpful when assistance is needed. As there are restaurants where the service is bad, it takes away from the whole experience resulting in the food tasting bad. Overall, I am happy with every thing. I definitely recommend this sushi spot.

If you want more unique, creative takes on sushi, this place is probably not what you're looking for. But if you want the standard classics prepared with very fresh ingredients and served by a very friendly staff, this place never disappoints. One of my favourite restaurants in the neighbourhood when I used to love in North York, and still a favourite to drop in from time to time.

Brilliant food, great staff and awesome ambience. We went with a baby, and the staff was super helpful in understanding our needs. Everyone was giving their best to make our experience better. The only thing that can improve a little would be their combo menu to have more flexibility or more options. Will definitely go back to enjoy the food and hospitality.

We had great sushi, probably the best we ever had. We ordered udon which was fairly large portion.

We have been going here for years and yesterday was the most disappointing experience I have ever had in a restaurant. The hostess actually made me cry. My son asked to see the sushi chef roll sushi so I picked him up to take him to look. A waitress came up to me to ask to put a mask on my underage child. I said sorry he’s exempt. They told me I’m not allowed walking around. I had no idea that’s even a rule? So I sat back down with my son. The hostess came up to me and started raising her voice at me to stay sitting. I told her I am sitting. She continued to raise her voice and telling me “ in case you decide to get up again you’re not allowed” I have never been spoken at like that. And to add the food was just awful.

Amazing place! I have been going to this place since they opened up and the quality of the food never changes! Excellent quality!

Have dined here for over a decade. Always great service and great food. Have had my staff dinners here as well. Never disapointed!

Can't rave enough of this place. Always fresh, reasonable prices, customer service great and quick! Huge variety and the ice cream for desert is always good!

This restaurant had amazing food and great service, we were served by Angela who was so sweet and really helpful with her recommendations. The restaurant looked very clean and the staff was very approachable and easy to get a hold of. Definitely recommend!

Most certainly better then the usual avg sushi house ambience, loungy modern etc. But as if the price points weren't already high, it's now at least 20% higher due to pandemic and all etc. Just 2 guys, we had light portions mixed it up and shared few things and a large bottle of Asahi each and total bill was $150. We were both about 70%full. $3 for a miso soup? At least include a 2nd at no extra cost. Im love miso soup and can easy have at least 2 or more on one sitting. If you're going there to eat well expect to spend at the very least $80+$100each. It's a place I'd go once on a long while for sushi as there are so many other places that are just as good if not better and cost at least 20-25%less.

Great customer service, we asked to change table because we were sitting at the front entrance and they offered us a private room. We ordered a few makis including spider green dragon, tataki attack, hungry and a side of salmon.

Nice place right on yonge street! We got few rolls- kamakaze, red dragon, tataki attack and this torched roll (i forgot the name). I would say their torched roll was great but all the others were just average! For the average roll the price was a little high. I would not go back not because the place was average but because with the same $ you can dine somewhere better!

Great atmosphere, staff are super sweet and more importantly the food was incredible; every bite was delicious. Tataki Attack is a must try! Great date night spot!

Well ok,
I was just looking for a Neighbourhood sushi spot to dine in briefly with my hubby and…GODAMN the little tiny baby fish eggs were so tender and yummy, but first the shrimp tempura! The flakes were better that frosted flakes as a kid.the spicy mayo was as if it perfectly measured half Sirauca and half mayonnaise! I would recommend this dine in sushi spot to any of my fellow torontonians and visitors!:)

Decent prices, great sushi. Went on mother's day and even though they were really busy my order didn't take much longer than expected. The Bento boxes and bowls are definitely worth the price.

Worst black dragon sushi experience ever! Expensive and bad food! Never recommended this restaurant to anyone! All those recommendations are fake news! As you could see from my pic, the black dragon roll only have two very thin pics ell on the top and the shrimp tempura inside is small enough! This roll cost me $17 plus tax and tip, $20 for this vegetable roll, funny thing! How come! Terrible restaurant ever!

Ordered from here while visiting a friend. Although it is not the most affordable, the portions are great and the food is delicious. I had the chicken teriyaki bento box and I thought I would be getting all items together in a box. Instead, I got 4 separate boxes with heavy portions. It is worth it! The tempura is delish

Best sushi in town! The food at Sushi Moto is always fresh and delicious. Very easy to order if you're pescatarian. The customer service is great!

Good food, service is quick after you order, but extremely slow as the server rarely comes to check on you if you’re in the private room.

Never order take out from them. I placed an order for a green dragon roll and they gave me the dinkiest roll ever. They charged me $17 for a small roll of two shrimps cucumbers and avocado. The person I spoke to was also extremely rude and if I had known prior to picking it up that it was so expensive I wouldn’t have placed it. Im never coming back

Nice venue. Quick, friendly service. Sashimi is very fresh and tasty, and the sushi rice is yummy. I had the chirashi lunch, and would definitely order it again. Tempura and edamame appetizers were also good. I personally would not order the spicy sushi pizza again; the flavour was ok, but it just seemed like a paste piled on top of a rice patty. But overall this restaurant is for sure a place to visit again.

Great food. Beautiful atmosphere and loved the service from the staff. Friendly and welcoming. But portion is a bit small.

Lovely place for dinner, had some tasty short ribs and a few special maki rolls - so tasty! Plum wine was excellent service was top notch!

Quality food. Prices are right for the location*. Portions are also good for the price.
* This restaurant is right on Yonge Street so the price is justified. But you may find slightly lower prices with the same quality if you look around.

A bit pricy but it was really good. I got a medium sushi boat and it was better than most places I've tried in the GTA.

This has got to be one of the best sushi places in the city. Service was also fast and our server was incredibly kind!

Got KICKED OUT because THEY WERE BUSY. Went there for lunch today and it was super busy, so we lined up to wait. 2min later the manager came up to us and said "No more lineups, I can't handle this, it's a 40min wait, the line's too long. " There were only 6 people infront of us. We asked him if he's kicking us out, he gave us a dirty look and walked away. We left since they obviously didn't want our business.

This is absurd. If you are busy you let me know how long of a wait it is, and it's my decision if I want to wait or not. I don't care how overwhelmed the restaurant is, you need to treat every walkins with respect. I'm never coming back, and I'm pretty sure they don't care about loosing my business anyway.

Pretty good value for money with the bento box. Everything seemed fresh. Service was not overly friendly, but food is probably more important than service.

My husband and I enjoy taking our 5 year old here when we go out to treat ourselves. The quality is top notch and you cant beat the prices which are reasonable. I don't mind dropping $150 for 3 of us knowing that we've eaten somewhere we'll never get sick of and sick from. Great spot uptown.

High end sushi but moderately priced. Popular and a busy lunch spot, so get there early or after the lunch crowd. Great food.

Salmon teriyaki was nicely grilled but the chicken teriyaki was not grilled at all - boiled only, so missing that delicious char grilled browned taste. Generous three large shrimp tempura. Good.
