Sushi-ro

The sushis we’ve had here were amazing! Especially kamikaze Thoroughly consistent in quality.

You get what you pay for. I didnt find my salmon sashimi to have that much taste.the positive was the veggie bento tempura was sizeable and well it is hard to mess up tempura
as a whole its 3/5 but considering price maybe 3.5 to 4/5

The food is soooooo good. The sushi was amazing! Everything was so fresh the fish, the veggies and the rice were all perfect. Every roll we ordered was perfect.

Fantastic food, great quality. Had the sushi boat for two (rolls, nigiri, sashimi) and it did not disappoint! Parking is easy in the area too. Will certainly be back to try their other menu options.

Just small customer service issue. What happened to serving tea to customers waiting for a walk in pickup order? This is not customary anymore, apparently.

Anyway, not sure why I tipped before receiving the service. Next time I'll not tip until after the food is ready and I know I am satisfied.

Feels like I tipped for nothing.

We have only had Sushi-Ro as takeout, but as Vancouverites with serious opinions about sushi, we are so grateful to have Sushi-Ro in the neighbourhood! The staff are friendly, the sushi is delicious enough to satisfy our west coast sushi cravings, and the prices are very reasonable for sushi in Ottawa. Thank you all, keep up the good/delicious work!

This is my go to place when I go to Ottawa to visit my friends. Not the biggest store I’ve seen but it’s the sweetest. I enjoyed the food every single time.

Small storefront, big flavour. You can get regular or spicy Miso soup for under $4 so inexpensive but quality items available.

Easy online order system.

BEFORE ORDERING:

Call before placing an order if you're under a time restraint, on busy days you may find yourself surprised to have to wait longer than fast food. Seems silly to mention but it may surprise people that fresh food takes time.

I mention this because the web site doesn't give a time estimate until AFTER the order is made. Causing potential for hangry humans.

In my opinion, not worth giving only 4 stars if the reason you're waiting is for freshness.

Literally just walked out of there and had to write a review.
The place is small and quaint, very clean. The quality of food is outstanding. Fresh fish, gyoza was delicious as well. Seaweed salad (wakame) was very good and again, fresh!
Their rolls have a great ratio rice-fish. My personal favorite was the spicy salmon.
Also, like any good quality sushi restaurant, it takes time. Go in, be patient, enjoy time with the people you are with, observe the sushi chef, relax. The wait is worth the quality.

Probably the best sushi I've had in Ottawa, and I've tried a lot of places. Very fresh and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

Casual and delicious - service was fast, friendly, and just right. Food came out at a good pace, and was uniquely prepared without being fussy. Definitely a new favourite.

Their sushi was alright. I loved their maki rolls. It was hard to hold their nigiri sushis, they fell apart but I got a hold of it.the soup was good but I think they can work on their salad.the sauce was too sour and runny but maybe thats how you like it.

AMAZING! It's as simple as that. Had a beautiful mix of different styles of sushi and it was all outstanding. I'm not one to care much about food but this place is a must for all sushi lovers.

I think I have a new favourite sushi place in Ottawa! I live in Centretown but was in Wellington West for an RMT session at Uppliva.

While walking back, I saw Sushi-ro and decided to grab some takeout dinner. Prices are very reasonable and quality is great. Got an order of miso soup (very generous serving, at least 3 cups), the deep-fried kamikaze roll, and the spicy salmon roll. Some places in Ottawa have more rice than they do fish/other fillings in the roll; Sushi-ro definitely does not.

I’m originally from the West Coast and miss the variety of sushi options out there and value for money. Very happy to have stumbled upon Sushi-ro. Will definitely be back

Have visited/ordered 4 times now. Service is friendly and welcoming and items are nicely packed. Sushi/Nigiri rolls are nicely made and sashimi is fresh.

Overall good! Will visit again.

Sushi was very fresh and the rice was perfectly seasoned. So excited to go back for more, yum!
