By far the least expensive a la carte sushi in midtown. Decent quality.

If I could give less, I would! My guests and I all got sick within an hour of eating our sushi. The salmon wasn't very pink, the avocado was browning and the sushi wasn't holding together. Was the sushi old? Sitting out? Bottom line. Never again!

Went there for the first time tonight and I won’t be back. I asked for a spicy dynamite roll and one order of spring rolls. Got two orders of spring rolls for some reason which explained why the price was higher than I thought it should be. My spring rolls were freezing and my sushi was not fresh, I watched them grab it from a ledge that’s been sitting there. The tempura inside the roll was not crunchy, indicating that it wasn’t fresh. This is more like a fast food sushi joint.

We went Sunday 8: 30pm, in a city where almost everything closes 5 or 7, it is really a gem. All tasty, fresh and very well done. The team is super nice, too! Recommended!

Not the absolute best sushi in town, but the food is still pretty good and the portions are large for a reasonable price. Can't go wrong with the sushi combos generally, but some of the specialty rolls are meh. Some items are definitely better than others. Don't order through uber eats because it's too expensive. Dining in is great and the staff provide excellent service.

Affordable sushi that doesn't disappoint. The ambience is a bit hectic but this only adds to the flair. We were offered some really yummy free appetizers and the waitress was very nice. Will return!

My experience from sushi rock i like there vegetable spring roll vegetarian fried rice and dragon on fire also the fried vegetable goyza assorted tempura i had the (Salmon Terikyaki bento box i also like sushi pizzas and the hand rolls and the sashimi edamame and the raw fish in everything it was my favourite i like sushi so much it because it’s all you can eat

This used to be my favourite sushi’s place in Mid-town…
Ordered 3 trays of Sashimi last night for dinner… both of us got sick (nausea), shivers and the runs.

Management, please check the quality of the fish you’re serving. We ordered platinum and gold sashimi trays.

Horrible! I ordered chicken yakatori, sushi, shrimp tempura thru #doordash. The restaurant is right around the corner from me. The chicken was VERY dry and inedible & cold, the shrimp was cold, the spring rolls as well! BAD.

My 3rd review in 4weeks and it's 5* this time too! Great job Rose and Sushi Rock team! The food has always been great, service has significantly got better and I'm so happy to see that! Truly appreciate you all talking the feedback and working towards doing better! Kudos to you guys!

A must try here is the Sushi Pizza, it's a unique dish and you'll love it! A must! Also, the Yam rolls are too good! Great job team!

My 5* review after meeting with Rose at Sushi Rock-
I'm changing my rating from 1star earlier to 5star with today's experience. Below are the reasons why -
1. I was craving for a good sushi today and happened to reorder. They serve really good food.
2. On my arrival to the restaurant, to my surprise Rose (Owner of the restaurant, which as later disclosed) asked if I was the same customer who left a bad 1star review. And I said Yes.
3. She asked "I apologies for earlier experience, we found the Sushi Pizza while closing the restaurant. What can we do to make you feel better"
4. She took accountability and ownership of the situation and tried to resolve, apologizing for earlier experience.
5. She offered that this order is on them and I politely declined.

Restaurants have suffered enough with pandemic lockdowns and I don't need free food. I just need value for the money we pay and people like Rose ensure that they will work hard to make customer happy!

Everyone deserves a second chance, my conversation with Rose made me believe that. I don't need to leave a review for food, they always have been one of the best around Yonge-Eglinton neighborhood.

The worst sushi place ever, agree with some negative comments. THIS IS NOT A JAPANESE PLACE DON'T GET FOOLED! It's run by some bunch of inexperienced people for some pocket money, and no sense of responsibility. How do I know? Read below.

People working in the restaurant are extremely rude and have ZERO understanding of customer service. You will never hear a welcoming voice on phone or a smiling welcoming face at this restaurant when you visit.

This is my second bad experience with them in 6months, they tried to cheat us by not packing one of the items. When we called back, they accused us of lying and said the item was packed. When I asked to show CCTV recording if it was packed, another person apologized and gives us the missing item. You cannot accuse a customer with a proof, 1st rule of running business. Always respect customers, they are the reason you have a job.

Word of advice to the management: please get some customers training for your employees, this is by far the worst customer experience ever. They don't understand orders, don't give right orders to chef, unwelcoming and extremely rude tone on phone. Looks like it's run by inexperienced people who care nothing about customers or loyalty. How do I know? The same mistake cannot happen and the service cannot continue to be pathetic.

THE WORST SUSHI EVER IN MY LIFE

First of all,
Fish wasn't fresh which can be very dangerous as it is RAW!

Rice was way too sour.
Experiencing bad quality of fish, I am sure that sour flavor wasn't even from adding too much vinegar in rice.

Would NEVER EVER recommend this place to ANYONE.

My boyfriend Colin and I order DoorDash from this place ALL THE TIME. Probably 3-4 times a week! I love this place, the pieces are SO HUGE! Also GREAT prices! Thank you for everyone who works here that helped prepared our meals! We would CRAVE the sushi must be something they did with the rice! Too bad I’m only here in Toronto for a year: (

Ordered lunch through skip the dishes. Tempura and edamame arrived stone cold despite the restaurant being right around the corner. Will not be patronizing this place again. I feel cheated.

This place has become one of my favourites. I sometimes try elsewhere but keep coming back to this as a reliable option. The sushi is always delicious, well priced and the staff are great!

Terrible service. When you are making a call to make an order and questions doubts only hang up. I used to be a frequent consumer, it is not worth supporting her terrible customer service.

They had a deal going on through UberEats on Christmas Eve so I took advantage of it. Only giving it 4 stars because although the deal was amazing, the taste was just okay. Staff was friendly upon takeout!

I ordered from this place on doordash tonight and was super let down with my order.rolls were much too big and falling apart, fish didn’t taste fresh, temperature wasn’t great and overall the rolls lacked flavour.definitely wouldn’t order again, unfortunately!

Great take out sushi menu and always fresh! They often give a free item with pick up orders (bubble tea, spring rolls, dumplings). Everything is packaged to stay fresh. Spicy mayo and eel sauce comes on the side so rolls don’t get soggy.

The sushi here is way too big to even be enjoyable. It’s the size of a tennis ball and honestly I wasted so much of the food because everything was just made too large. Sushi is suppose to be small and mouth bites, these definitely take 3 bites. The breaded shrimp in the dynamite rolls were also too soft and not crispy and fresh how they are normally made at other restaurants. I won’t be ordering again.

I have never bought sushi here, but this is why I only buy sushi from metro grocery. Would be even better if metro served miso soup too

Dinner was excellent. Rolls were all very fresh and they even provided a complimentary appetizer. One tip - Dragon on Fire is much better enjoyed inside the restaurant instead of for take out.

Honestly, from several places that I’ve ordered before, sushi rock has the best food in town. Always ordered through delivery apps and always had a little gift from them. One time I got a bubble tea as a gift! Can’t go somewhere else! They are my favourites!

Takeout. Sushi was not fresh. Funky smell and taste to every roll. Fish had congealed to the rice because I'm almost certain the sushi was not made to order and instead was premade and stored in a fridge for long periods of time.

I order from Ritual for the first time and not only were the staff super friendly and my order was waiting for me but the food great! I order the Kani salad, tobiko sushi, and the soft shell crab roll. The rolls were a large size with just the right amount of rice. Everything was extremely fresh and tasted awesome, I was not disappointed!

I’ve been searching for the best sushi in Toronto for years and this is it. So delicious. Great prices. The portions are generous and they gave me enough soya sauce! Thank you. Keep on being awesome

Sushi Rock is my go to sushi take out place. The prices are incredibly affordable and all the food is super fresh. The portions are great and service always is fast. Would definitely recommend if you’re ordering delivery

The rice is a bit soft but overall the food is decent and affordable. I ordered the Sushi Rock Combo which came with salad and miso soup. They gave me free dumplings too!

Not a bad place to eat - the menu is not as expansive as some of the bigger sushi places I normally visit but they have a unique fusion section. Overall, tastes good and decently priced for a midtown location.

Ordered from them through Uber Eats. It took them 2 hours to prepare sushi, edemami and tempura. The edemami was cold, tempura was cold and soggy, sushi was bad.

Honestly, we ordered vegetarian. The maki is awful and we couldn’t eat it. Sticky, huge and tasteless. I would not order here again.

Ordered through ritual, which indicated it was ready at 7: 14pm. Currently 7: 41pm, there's 20 delivery people outside lined up and the individuals who work here are yelling at every single one of them (and us) to wait another 20 minutes.

When I notified them I had already been waiting for 20 minutes, the lady told me to stop wasting her time so they could get their orders done quicker.

They kept accepting more and more orders without having any system to handle such volume.

Not appetizing. I ordered takeout for what I thought was a torched roll with sauce. It was completely drenched in a pool of bbq sauce, and the tempura shrimp was tough.

I dont like to eat somewhere with flies swarming all around me and my food. Fish could be fresher.better sushi options in the area.

This restaurant has to be my favourite one especially with the amazing customer service! I love the large variety of food and the quality is incredible. The in house baked desserts are delicious. I highly recommend the chocolate chunk muffin!

Good Sushi! 3 stars for the Sushi, 4 stars for the staff. The staff is very vocal, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

I order delivery from your restaurant a lot. I will no longer be ordering. My Salmon handroll arrived with 3 tiny pieces of Salmon and tons of rice, same with white tuna roll! My sashimi is warm from putting so close to soup etc etc HORRIBLE. Last time I complained about the same thing, I heard the manager telling the guy on phone that she wasn't there. You have lost a repeat customer. My $65.30 order is now in the garbage.

Worst sushi experience in 20 years. Microwaved miso and grilled squid, spoiled seaweed salad, avoid curry dish it's nothing but lettuce and 2 little pieces of microwaved beef. Egg sashimi was fully frozen. Everything here is very low quality. Dont eat there.

Had the tonkotsu Don and the yam tempura.
The tonkotsu Don had no sauce or anything in it just the cutlet onions and rice. And the yam tempura wasn't fully cooked. The yam was still under cooked. The service was terrible. They never checked on us even once. We left having eaten maybe a quarter of the food and they didn't even get us a box that we had asked for.

Very yummy food. Service was great, and the ambiance is very nice. The sashimi is cut really thick too so if you're into sashimi it's a great plate.

It’s nice and delicious. It is the cleanest sushi restaurant I have ever tried in GTA. Their chiefs are so focused and pro, so there is always not a lot of waiting time after ordering the food.

The place is nice with a relaxing atmosphere. Pleasant staffs serves great various of food. The service is always quick and friendly. Also the price is good.
