Wow, this was absolutely the worst sushi I have ever had. Please do yourself a favour and go to Love Sushi just down the road. We thought we'd try here again for a quick bite on the way out of town after years of not coming and it was a serious disappointment. The staff seem untrained in both preparation of the food and customer service.

I litterally watched one employee take dirty knife for sushi making and open a cardboard box with it, the return it to the sushi preparation surface.

DELICIOUS and staff is always friendly and professional. Myself and my family enjoy going here!

We enjoyed the fresh made meal, the staff was kind and we loved all the food.

The Terriyaki balls were our favourite!

I used to work at a sushi shop, and normally vouch for this company. But my recent order was really disappointing. I would not have been okay with serving what they did.

Rice was hard: either a few days old or taken out of the unsold combo boxes.

Rolls were broken/falling apart: unable to pick up rolls, as rice was not fresh and therefore was not sticking.

A lot of the avocados were very brown.

Missing ingredients, or very little of some ingredients in rolls.

The smoked salmon nigiri had a bunch of small pieces of fish, instead of one single well cut piece. Just very messy.

Everyone has off-days, and bad work situations that make it hard. I get it. But this 75 pc platter was disappointing.

I gave a star because I know that's not normally the quality and standards of sushi shop, so hopefully things improve.

This is absolutely the worst sushi on the planet. Every element that went into making it is horrible. It's hard to imagine eating anything worse.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. After countless times of disgusting stale old fish and rice, I should blame myself for hoping things would get better. They don’t care. My husband spent $125 on a platter for my birthday and they obviously filled it with stale old sushi from unsold combo boxes. I sent an inquiry to the head office at corporate hoping they’d investigate. Someone could get seriously sick eating here. Corporate offered me a gift card as an apology and it’s been three months and no sign of that gift card. So I’m here to say, nothings going to change. If you have to eat at this location, eat Thai express. Don’t make yourself sick for expensive and less than mediocre food.

The worst sushi ever, I honestly think a gas station can do better than this shop in Cornwall. Not sure who is responsible for this shop but can some wake up? Or shut this sushi disgrace/dishonor down?

I never leave food reviews but your food is so bad I feel it’s a must to get you to stop serving any food period. Shame on the owners and management, shame on you.

Worst sushi I ever had. I should have listened to the review below because the sushi I got was exactly as she described. The rice and fish were not fresh. It was tasteless. There was barely anything even in it besides rice. It was also falling apart.

Used to come here often but the last few times I have gone it's just terrible. The sushi was gross, I don't know if the rice was old or uncooked but it was bitter. The price is quite expensive for what you get. If you ever want good sushi that is already made, I recommend going to Farm boy

I got a poke bowl tonight for supper and the salad and cucumber part of it was frozen and I was driving through so I could not go back. But it was defiantly something that she saw and she put it in my poke bowl anyways! I was so disappointed

They no longer have the 60 piece. After debating, my girlfriend and I decided on the 75 piece. They don't have any way to pay online nor do they know how to do it manually with the computers

The rice was a little dry on just about all of the pieces we ordered. While the presentation was nice, it took away from the experience gradually with each bite.

We likely won't be ordering back from here.

In the past, I feel they were better. This was my girlfriends first time trying it and Love Sushi ends up coming out on top, which will be open again next Saturday.

Also, they need to keep their prices for their menu updated online. I ordered a 75 PC and 2 desserts. The price online said $80 for the 75 piece, with 2 little deep fried banana pieces, about 85.came up to $97 bucks.then the taxi delivery was another $33 to the island.

Some of the pieces had good flavor. But we were not satisfied unfortunately.

Most likely won't be returning got sushi and the salmon sushi literally smelled like rotting meat and tasted the same. Spit it out and threw it in the trash truly disappointed.

Very dissappointed in their service! I ordered the Sirroco and its my favorite sushi at the sushi shop… I must of ordered it 50+ times at different location and it always looked like their advertised picture not like what I got at the cornwall location……. When I asked she said they looked like that because of the avocado… they didnt taste the same and were really bad compared to what im used to + really bad service

Service was absolutely terrible, staff could not be less attentive! More concerned with visiting with each other than serving customers. Would not recommend!

Staff is always friendly and they are super knowledgeable. The prices are reasonable and the items are made before your very eyes. The staff is also really good about making minor substitutions in order to accommodate for dietary restrictions. It's a great place to go to grab some food on a Friday night!

Little bit of a background on me, I have a culinary background and consifer myself a connoisseur. I have been to Japan and have had everything from 15$ suishi to 150$ sushi. So this opinion comes from experience.

I've come here twice now and both times it have been medicore. The first time I came here I ordered the karage "burger", 2 large rolls and their chocolate dessert bomb. The karage was more batter than chicken, overcooked and very skimpy portion, eating the sandwhich was akin to eating stale bread for how dry it was. The rolls were equally pathetic with fsr to much seasame and poorly wrapped rolls with poor quality ingredients. The dessert was so unpalatable, dry, and bland I had to pitch it. It was also incredibly over priced with those four items coming to 45$. Don't get me wrong I am okay with payig good money for good food, this however was not good.

I decided to give them a second chance and came again today with a similar experience. I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen with pork, but they gave me shrimp instead. Aside from that blunder it was only a step above instant ramen with cheap undercooked noodles, a overly salty broth that they tried to fix by adding cayene pepper which doesn't belong in a tonkotsu, and a boiled egg over a traditional marinated one. It was sad, and tasted pretty awful. The shrimp atleast was half decent, though a tad over cooked it was passable. Ontop of the ramen I ordered a basic syake hosomaki, which would have been better if they hadn't destroyed it with seasame. It was also cross contaminated with wasabi from the workers gloves. I don't mind wasabi but the fact is this shouldnt happen as it tells me there gloves are not regularly changed.

Honestly this is the saddest sushi experience I've ever had. Things are overpriced for the quality offered and all the staff members I encountered do not even know how to pronounce there menu items. Encountered with the proper pronounciation they had no idea what I was asking for.

If you want sushi you are better off driving to Ottawa for some. With the cost of gas even cheap sushi would be better bang for your buck than this rubbish.

Disappointing they use the chicken from the thai place for the Karaage chicken, but overall their sushi is great, the ramen is pretty good, and the price is decent. It also gets 5 stars for being literally the only sushi shop around. So i'll take what I can get.

Was good when it first opened. Staff has changed and now it seems they either don't know how to make quality sushi, or don't care. Avocado used in my selections, were not ripe. Presentation was fair, at best.

This place is great to grab some sushi and go and also really nice to dine in. If you order enough sushi they put it on a boat which is really cool. I’ve been here countless of times and the staff is always really nice. I highly recommend this place if you want sushi.

I love getting sushi from here, as it's one of the only - if not THE only - sushi place left. It's prepared fairly well, and tastes great - when it's fresh.
Whenever I order rolls directly from the register, I expect the sushi to be made fresh, not picked from the grab and go section, which has been sitting there for a while (and it's fairly easy to tell by taste and just looking at it, if it has or hasn't).
If I'm going to be spending 30$ on 3 rolls, I expect it to be of the best possible quality.
EDIT: Seems their prices have gone up as well. $8 for a 5 piece roll is a little steep, especially when you consider sushi is technically considered fast food.

Our food was great! We each had a poke bowl. Although the lay out is comfusing. Its like two restaurants in one. Our food did take a while too.

This place is is awesome I absolutely love their sushi! One of the best places I’ve had and lots of variety.

I had wonderful experience last night, the staff were super friendly and were going above and beyond with what they had. Hence the 5 stars. Unfortunately the manager had up and quit, leaving the staff short and left them unprepared for the weekend.

This wasn't my first visit to the Sushi shop, however everything that was in the bunker was in good condition and tasted fresh with a good variety of rolls. The Nigiri Sushi was delicious.

A great little place for Cornwall to get it's sushi fix that doesn't over fill the rolls with panko.

Never been a fan of sushi shops. This one has the worst tasting sushi I've eaten ever. And I'm not hard to please. I think they need to hand roll instead of using the auto roller. And change their rice recipe.
