Have gone here for years and is my go to

Sadly sushi did not taste right and I was not gonna complain and pay for it but they said I waisted food and charge me more for the leftovers.if I pigged out and then complain and left food I could understand but we put on 1 order and it all tasted like too much vinegar, maybe the rice. Very dissapointed how they charge me for the leftovers that I could not eat cos they did not look or taste fresh and too much of a vinegar flavour. Won't go back there ever again, if they were understanding and not charge me for the leftovers I would be ok but this was just was not acceptable.

"All you can eat " menu. Order at table using tablet. My first time, ordered a few of my fav dishes. Some what dissatisfied with quality. Octopus was tuff to eat. Sushi rolls were ok, but lacked flavor. Though there are a ton of options, wasn't impressed. Service was just there to clear off plates, no interaction just ehh.so for me it's over priced for the quality

I would give this a 3.5 stars. The sushi is not that good (3 stars). The noodles, stir fried and meat dishes are good (4 stars).

100% one of my favorite sushi places to visit in the Durham area. The quality of the fish here is always exceptional and the price is great too! I really enjoy the atmosphere at this location which has nice tables/couches and ample amounts of space. My favorite dish here is the steamed custard buns and the creme glace custard which is rare to find at a sushi place. Overall great balance between price, quality and consistently delivery of that quality is rare to find at a restaurant. I'll continue to come back here!

The sushi wasn't bad but from my experience I felt like they used too much rice on some of their items. Also just a heads up their buffet menu they do charge you for waste items so be aware

The chili chicken, general tao chicken, and calamari are easily the best of any of the sushi places I've been to. If you go to sushi places for the other stuff just as much or more than the actual sushi, you should be pretty happy here!

This was the most horrible dining experience. Food was cold, shrimp was 100% passed its date. This is the second time coming. I thought I would be fair and give this business a second chance. We sat in the same spot as the first time and the food on the floor the first time was still there this time. NOT SANITARY. And there was hair on the food.

This is my go to place with my boyfriend. We go with friends sometimes and every time we’re there the sushi is fresh and tastes great and the staff is always fast and pleasant. It’s expensive, but we always know we’ll be pleased.
We get everything from every category and my new favourite is the chefs special, the Hawaiian roll.

Honestly I don’t know how to feel, any time I came here before it was fine didn’t have really any issues just at the price kept going up and up but last time I came in there was a big issue, there was a hair cooked into the food (picture) and on one of our dishes a bug came crawling off - (have the video but doesn’t give the option to post) we told them about this and all they did was give us a 13% discount….

Not to mention there’s been times where I have come here and they have either up charged us on food or when we have ordered something we didn’t received it and they still try to charge us for it….

I used to come to this place before and it was great, now not so much, 35 dollars and the food wasn’t even fresh, the rice was dried like if it was from the day before, I ordered sashimi salmon and it was rotten, I had to spit it out, called the manager and he smelled it and yes in fact it was bad, smelled like rotten fish. The guy came back with my bill and I said are you sure you are going to still charge me? And he did. I’m a decent man so I payed my bill but I won’t go back to that place ever.

Outstanding! Every item we ordered was top quality and delicious. Their chicken skewers are the best I have had anywhere. Tempura was light and so so good. Great valu for all you can eat.

We picked up a party tray yesterday Maki for three. It was amazing. So beautiful and fresh. Some of us don't eat raw fish so this tray was perfect for us. Sushi today has a lot more unique rolls than other places. My personal favorite is the yam roll. Totally recommend to get this if you are hosting or visiting friends

Food was terrible and waitress was rude.
Hair found in the sushi.
Every one pretend nothing happened ;no apology or whatsoever.
One server came over asking me that i have to finish all the rice from sushi.
That is all they said.
Unbelievable.
It is the one of the worst sushi restaurant i have been to.

Excellent lunch menu specials. Our local go to spot when craving Sushi. Never regretted ordering from here.

Food is good, 4 stars because of the lack of variety when it comes to rolls with salmon and shrimp, some crab rolls are also just imitation crab without specifying. Chicken is delicious though.

My favourite sushi place in town. My favourite is the Philadelphia roll. Quick and friendly service.

This place is great for all you can eat Sushi! Everything tastes fresh and delicious. Their servers are fast and attentive and the price is good too! Definitely my new regular spot

Really impressed with this place. Excellent service and fresh food. Was particularly impressed with the pork steamed dumplings which were home made. Will definitely return. Very high quality for ayce.

This place has been one of my favourite restaurants for the past few years.prices are good, and wait times are very short.the interior design is absolutely beautiful.when i was a little younger, i would come here with my mom and i would love sitting by the big fish tank.i have deducted 1 star because some of the waitresses are lacking a little in customer service. 9 times out of 10, i'll get some waitresses who never say anything to me.they'll just sit the plate down and walk away.i will say, they do have some very nice waitresses as well.i also really like the way you order food.when you are seated, they ask you what drinks you want.then, they give you an ipad.everything to do with food/dessert is ordered through the ipad.you just add the items you want to your tab, and press send.it's very fast a efficient in my opinion.they have many different options, including chinese and japanese cuisine.

Always fresh! The spicy crab hand rolls are so good! Great selection of food and reasonably priced.

Great sushi place if you're looking for all you can eat. Prices are typical, service was fast, and the food is up to par with an all you can eat place.

My go-to sushi spot! Not worth going for lunch - options are limited. But the dinner Ayce is well worth it.

Your run of the mill sushi spot in Durham. First time ever I was charged for waste and it was not even that much waste anyways. Quick serving of food though. If you want AYCE sushi you won't go wrong. Just make sure you finish everything you order.

Love sushi.first time here.will likely be back. 31.99 a little expensive but ill eat EXTRA sashimi to make it worth my while.service was faster than most other places ive been too.

I used to enjoy family dinner here on a regular basis before COVID.
Had enjoyable sushi and sashimi take-outs a few times this year.
Unfortunately, the quality of the food was hit by “shrinkflation” when I last ordered on August 13.
I understand the increase in price but keep the quality and portion size. Eating a sushi consisting of a tiny piece of fish and a big blob of rice definitely reduces the perfect bite sensation if you are trying to enjoy sushi.

This place is bomb. They have less selection but everything is really good quality. I'd rather less options and everything be great then have a lot of ok options. Respect and keep it up! I'd recommend this anytime!

One of my go tos to order a sushi party tray for takeout. I've never dined in. Great party trays and somehow their veggie rolls are amazing. Usually I'm not a fan of veggie rolls but they have an awesome combo inside.

Mostly enjoy they're lunch service with friends and family, but endulged in their dinner service tonight and got my fill of fresh and beautifully presented sashimi! Thanks "Sushi Today". I couldn't be more content and full, right at this very moment!

Good place to get all you can eat Japanese food in Whitby. The dessert menu is good too and if you're not able to finish everything, they'll consider letting you take the leftovers home for small fee.

Price has increased significantly and not posted anymore. Used to be $19.99 pre covid for weekend dinner, now $31.99 + beverages which used to be included! Not listed anywhere on website or the window like it used to be. Tell people when the arrive!

Sushi Today truly is the best sushi restaurant I have ever eaten at. They take great pride in the freshness of all of their menu items, have a large variety to choose from and always provide incredible presentation. This place I called 20 minutes before I get there. They were on speaker with me and my girlfriend I specifically asked what was on the LUNCH sashimi menu the told us. I arrived ordered and was told no sashimi for lunch.

This is our go to place, the best value all you can eat Sushi in Durham - and we've been to many places! Best selection of rolls, not too much rice in the rolls. Friendly, prompt service, and reasonable price.

Fantastic Japanese restaurant. I personally find the menu needs a little more "beef" options, but that's only because i don't eat much vegetables or chicken. Still highly recommend this place especially for people with a more varied palate than mine.

Food was nice but when you ask something to the waitresses, most often they wouldn't rely to you or reply to you then they wouldn't get the things you want such as napkins.
When they finally bring them to you they just leave them on the table without saying anything and walk away with angry face.

Great place! Spacious with lots of seating. Friendly and attentive staff. The AYCE lunch menu is quite expansive compared to most places as it offers a variety of options including eel, salmon and crab among other favs whereas most other places only offer one or the other on their lunch menu. Presentation and consistency could be improved as the size of the rolls vary with each order and sometimes fall apart as you try to pick each piece up but still not enough to discourage us from returning. Def a new favourite spot!

I ordered take out from here, the overall quality is pretty standard. Nothing special, there isn't really a good variety of options.

The quality of the fish itself is good, just dont order anything that has shrimp. They dont remove the shells when creating the rolls (and I dont mean the end pieces). It was quite unappetizing having surprise shells in my mouth.

The food was very good and fresh. Served promptly by friendly staff. Also one of the best values around.

Very fast, good variety, delicious. Only complaint is the software on the tablet menu, the menu buttons are quite small.

Standard all you can eat sushi. It's ok. Good if you're craving sushi and don't feel like driving to a better one.

This is an amazing restaurant. The food quality and selection are great. Every discernible customer will be pleased with the menu. Only thing that we'd like to see is more variety with desserts. Prices are fair and the washrooms are very clean! It's a place we come to regularly and bring our friends and family to. Worth a visit and highly recommend!

Very nice selection of reasonably priced but good quality sushi, tempura, and other Japanese and Chinese foods. Some not so traditional things like tempura banana or creme brulee, but it's not an authentic place after all. I'd stay away from the more American food (pizza bites, ribs) as they're usually underwhelming and not great. Overall a nice place for a reasonable price

Came here for my birthday with my husband. The staff is very friendly, and answered any question I had about the menu. They are very professional, and keep the tables clean as you finish your plates. I would highly recommend coming for such an amazing experience.

Came with a group of 10 the 2 servers were fast and courteous, sashimi was fresh, rolls were great, prices seemed reasonable. Would return again

Excellent food! Not much of a sushi fan but the foods i tried today were very good. Beef teriyaki, chicken teriyaki, any of the rolls were all delicious. And the spare ribs were really meaty.

I've been one of their customers for about 6 months and I still love their buffet menu. They have a lot of options and the quality is good. The atmosphere is nice and they have good customer service. I highly recommend this place.

First time here since the owners changed.
Staff was quick. Food nicely presented.
A lot of the food had a weird stale taste.like the rice or seaweed wrap was off (past the best before date).
Will go back to our regular sushi place next time.

The service was great and the food was good for the price. I guess my only issue is that a lot of the items are very low quality versions of what it could be. They would almost be better doing a few things really well than a lot of things

Delicious food - I get my teenage boys a gift card every Christmas because they love it so much. My younger son has Celiac and is able to put in his dietary restrictions on the iPad so he can relax and enjoy their wonderful food.

Great variety of sushi and other dishes provided, as well as being able to cater to mid-sized groups without issue. Quality of the food was excellent, and the staff were courteous and catered to our needs quickly.
