Only one person to serve and take orders during weekend.surprising but if you need anything apart from what is served then you need to walk by front desk and request. Tasted Mini tiffin Panner rava masala dosa Masala dosa Coffee.
Expectation is panner rava masala dosa is the curry shud be more panner side but their was lot of aloo.so not worth it Coffee — terrible Mini Tiffin was good
Chutney and Sambhar is good…less crowd but I can’t imagine if it is full how would they handle.
Two star because of taste but really bad experience with customer service, no manners, no answers if asked with something. Bad attitude towards customers. Won't be coming here next time.
The best place to have south indian food in the whole of GTA and Halton region. The food quality, taste is impeccable. Staff is friendly, explain dishes properly, takes order according to your taste and spice preference. If there are kids accomanying you, they will take care of kids needs and let you know about kids menu and provide high chair if you need one. A great place to have food and spend time.
The food was amazing. Masala dosa is recommended. Sambar is a less spicy but tastes fabulous. Service was exceptional. I will be going back again soon.
Their dosa and coconut chutney is the best! Period!
come by for being surprised to see how good their dosas are. I won't say the same for their idli or medu wada but their dosa is best in GTA.note: their dahi wada is also fabulous, I've tried it multiple times
Visited this place with friends. We had medu vada, rava dosa, puri and potato sabzi and upma. Puri and potato sabzi was very tasty. Rava dosa was mediocre and upma was the worst. I told the person assisting us that upma was uncooked and had no flavour at all. She kept saying sorry but that is the standard norm and she did not know anything, the kicthen staff is responsible. This response annoyed me the most. We had to also keep asking for water repeatedly. Bad overall experience and poor customer service
Plenty of Dosa options. Tastes very good. Was a bit more salty this time. Quite with lots of seating options. Good service. Temperature is well maintained. However, Overall this place needs an upgrade
It was our first time here and onion masala dosa, butter masala dosa was so delicious and staff was so nice they served us very well and nice behaviour. It’s reminds us for Indian taste
A must visit place for good South Indian tiffin. I had mini tiffin which about $11.95. It comes with a big dosa, a poori, vada, chuttney (2 types), sambar, Payasam and potato masala. It’s very delicious. Also tried Paper Masala Dosai. A must try tiffin dish. Hospitality is good too.
If there was an option of giving 0 stars, I would have given that. I can with my family and we ordered 4 dosa. 3 people got their dosa and I didn’t. I waited for 30 mins, still they didn’t have me. I am not here to eat food alone. Worst service, even they didn’t apologize to me.
Talking about their food taste it is average to be honest I would say below average. The servers are also not concerned about serving the order with cleanliness. They totally need to train the management. I went there on a friend’s recommendation and trust me it was completely awful. The tables were not properly clean, utensils were almost about to broke and this is the picture of tea I was served it was almost spilled and the server didn’t even bothered to handover me tissues or change the plate. Don’t go its a complete wastage of money.
Today i tried to call them 5 times nobody picked up the call then i tried from my friend’s no. 2 times then they finally answered and which food i tried to order they were out for that and then girl said “you can stay on hold I won’t hang up and check our online menu”. Meanwhile i was checking the menu she hung up the call in 30 secs … this is the only south Indian restaurant near my house otherwise i would’ve called any other restaurant… Food is good but customer service is zero totally unprofessional staff
Always a great experience eating. Staff and owners are nice and humble. Surprised that people rate them lower and it’s shrewd based if it’s because of any isolated instance, if any. Food differs everywhere and what’s most important is quality and food service and they have both that too from very long time.
Have been to many Dosa places but this one was not at all worth. The taste was not at all good. Also the sambhar and chutney taste were not good.went to this place by looking at its name but it seems they need to learn a lot more better to make it a special Dosa place. Will not reccommend to try this place
Awesome Tiffin Center for Indians. Poori was so good here. Lassi was an must try item. Staff are really good and cooperative. Nice parking lots available. All COVID protocols were followed. Sometimes on weekends was so rushy to enter the restaurant. All good items were really Yummy.
Went today, and everything had extra salt, and service was very slow.quality and service have dropped. If you know you guys are busy on a weekend, you should have more staff. The staff seemed overwhelmed and stressed out.
This used to be our go to place but our takeout was a disaster. The lid on one of the sauces was not closed properly leading to spillage over everything. The paneer dosa literally had 4 paneer pieces in it. The packaging of the dosas was mostly in plastic leading to more sogginess.the food was all very salty. Very disappointed but I have had more good experiences in the past so hoping things do improve here and hoping this review gets looked at.
Just take a random stop for dine in and guess what, right decision. Food is sooo delicious, if you looking for tasty South Indian food, this is best place. Nice and clean restaurant, staff is very friendly. My recommendation goes for Onion masala Dosa with Masala Tea. Worthy
Went today and No one seated us. When we sat down finally, I had to go back to ask for menu. And then again for someone to take our order.waited 45 mins for starters. The food was ok at best. And the tomatoe onion uttapam was very bad. Literally had to leave it after taking a bite. Very bad service and food. Will not recommend- save your money and time.
I really like the way they greet and serve and the food was awesome.they are amazing people and allowed us to dine in at the last moment when they were about to close
Very soggy it was wrapped up very tightly wasn't put in a proper box and presentation wasn't the best don't think I'll be coming back here or recommending this place! Very disappointed and I hear highly about this place before this
Authentic idlis, soft & spongy. The way they should be. Chutney was a little sweet and did not have mustard, black lentil & curry leaf temperinng. They serve Jain Sambar and that's good. Hoping to get the dine in experience.
My to go place for South Indian food anyday. Tasty and delicious food. I would only suggest some more cleanliness and bit of renovation with good marketing can really boost their business.
Recently, I visited here and I suggest you to not to eat here any kind of South Indian Cuisines. Go somewhere else because this restaurant is not worth for thier cuisines which they serve.
Best dosa in town! From ghee masala, mysore masala, palak masala, cheese masala dosas great taste, authentic and yummy. Will be visiting them again, in love!
This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly specially Gurpinder. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is delicious and one wants to go there again and again. Keep it up guys
This place is elegant with an awesome vibe. Food was amazing, the service was speedy and friendly. Staff girl Suman recommended us tasty dosas and Dahi Vada was amazing.
Dosa paper size was very small, little bigger than a kid size dosa. 1 dosa is not enough for a person as it was 30-35% smaller than regular size dosa found at other restaurants. Sambhar with 3 dosa we ordered was mild warm but not hot, didn’t feel it fresh. We wanted to order more after first order of Dosa, but didn’t liked the food so to fill up belly we ordered idly. Sambhar with Idly was hot and was good. Overall, below average food, better options are available who provide hot food and regular sized dosa in same price range.
(Question to owner, at front page at middle (with big letters) it says you have Swaminarayan/Jain option, but, in reality was asked to order plain dosa with chutney, no sambhar then why put in big font in middle of menu if you don’t carry those options all the time, my friend brought us there just so he can find food without Onion Garlic and he got disappointed).
They don't pick the phone at all. Called them 20 times every time I wanted to order. When I went to restaurant a d asked them why they didn't pick up my calls, each time they have same answer 'we didn't hear any phone ringing '.
Positive contribution 1. Great customer service 2. Deliciousness of butter dosa is amazing. 3. Quite and relaxing atmosphere. 4.express service on table. 5. No mouth fresher, you have to buy now.
I tried the Onion Rava Masala Dosa. The first bite of the Dasa with the potato stuffing and coconut chutney (dip) took me back to the streets of Matunga, Mumbai - South Indian food capital of Mumbai! The golden brown dosa had the right amount of crispyness to take me back on my nostalgia trip to Mumbai. The owner is very cheerful and his skills to making such a delicious dosa are much appreciated.
Thank you so much Swagruhas Dosa Home. Your place has now become my go to place for South Indian food cravings!
Food quality was good but took a long time to get it. It’s anyway understood as we visited right after the opening in Stage 3. Lade at the front desk was crazy, unprofessional, rude with a dull expression. Neither at entry nor checkout, her attitude changed. Same as typical.
Instead, despite it was too busy, another lady “Mamta” was serving with a happy face, always welcoming, and service with full of energy. I wish I had an option to give a special appreciation to Mamta but no other way than sharing in the common box.
Today i tried to call them 5 times nobody picked up the call then i tried from my husband’s no.
Pls be very careful while ordering anything.and check the other reviews as well where they mention that they found hair.and i know wht is curry leaf stem.
By far one of the best places for South Indian cuisine. Every item I try here amazes me with its truly desi taste.i hope you guys open a branch at markham aswell
I absolutely hate Dosa’s but first time in my life I found a place where they made the stuffing amazing! Taste was great amazing flavours and spice! I highly recommend this place to people who like me dislike Dosas but their family loves it.
This place has good dining space and great dosas. Quantity and quality are worth the price. Served with three chutney and sambar. Best place to have South Indian specialties. This place is located inside a plaza that has a big parking lot.
Well any desi food in foreign shores is a treat. This place was good for a change everything was served at table right from ordering. Food was delicious, freshly cooked and vfm. Keep up the good work.
This is by far one of the best dosa places in the GTA. I have been to nearly all the big ones but this is my go-to. Food is amazing, service is great and the prices are reasonable. The location is pretty convenient too with plenty of parking.
Worst Service Received of any place I have dined at in the past 100 times I have eaten anywhere. Ordered a Masala Tea and had to wait 45 minutes after ordering and got it after 4 reminders. The Biryani ordered with the initial order came 10 minutes after ALL of the food was finished after 2 reminders. Food was sub par. When I informed the waitress that there was too much salt in the Sambar her response was " No other clients have complained so far"!
Highly disappointed with the unprofessional conduct of the restaurant staff. We came for dinner at 9.30pm and were told that they can't serve us (restaurant closes at 10.30pm). They are more interested in fulfilling orders for delivery services. We are definitely not coming back here again.
It was good (the taste) but not out of this world good. Went there to celebrate India Independence day. Prices are reasonable, service is great and quick. There were 8 of us and we did not have to wait long.
Tried the plain cheese dosa and the pav bhaji for a late breakfast. The bhaji part of pav bhaji wasn't that great. The cheese dosa was alright and the sambar that came with it was actually good. It's adequate, but maybe I will try more exotic dosas next time.
Sambar was good. Dosa was good too but it was small. Red chatni was good. Coconut chatni was not quite what it is suppose to be (didn't see raee in it) green chatni had less taste. Over all it was good but it is lagging some (not all) south Indian taste.
We are a family of 5 who live 5 minutes away from this place. Dosa Home is our go-to restaurant. Amazing dosas and reasonable prices. I do wish that the sambhar had some more veggies in it and that the chutneys were not as liquid. Other than that, this is the only dosa place my family enjoys. We have always experienced amazing customer service.
Worst restaurant with waiting time of 1 hours even after placing the order. They take your order and don't bring any order for 1 hours, even a simple idli order. Worst customer service.
Good Dosa here when it's fresh. Sometimes I have gotten Dosa here that seemed to have been made awhile before I ordered it. Service is terrible when busy. Waitresses get confused easily and orders are wrong and often times never come at all.
Food with authentic South Indian flavours, friendly staff and not too expensive. Dining area is not well decorated but I’ll rate the food quality over that. Would recommend the place for delicious food.
Good dosa but poor chutneys and other things. I went there 3-4 times and found last 2 times that food was stale. I felt sambhar (lentil soup) or potato curry was old which gave me bad after taste.
Great service, great food. We walk in and we are always greeted by the employees. The moment we sit down we are given the menus. The server comes back and gets out order. Usually takes 15 minutes to get our dosa's ready which is faster than any place we have ever been too. The dosas are amazing! The chutneys are also great. We tried a few different does places but by far this is the best dosa place. This is our favorite place to eat and we always recommend people to come here.
I wanted to like this place so bad! I'm a huge fan of dosas (so crispy and delicious), and I was looking forward to getting my fix. I ordered the cheese dosa (with a potato masala filling) and it was very very salty. I will return again to give it another shot (as service was great & the rest of the menu seems promising) but I was quite disappointed with my initial experience.
We’ve been going to this place All the way from Brampton since last 3 years. Not anymore after having bad experience 2 consecutive times. It used be really good, recently we’ve noticed they are cutting down the stuffing inside dosas and they don’t taste as good as they used to be.
