Food was good except for the mashed potatoes! They did not taste like real potatoes.
The service was NOT good starting with the absent hostess. When she came she could not find our reservation despite confirming it twice that same day! That baffled me.
Service was super slow throughout the whole dinner and it took forever to get our cheque. We left a good tip since I believe the staff was working all the time. However the place is understaffed! I cannot understand why they don’t hire more people since this is the third time in a row I’ve been there with super slow service!

Ordered 4 grilled chicken sandwiches. They took my money and never told me it was a 30mins wait. After I got home got beef sandwiches and Buffalo. Customer service was really bad after. Have to wait for a store credit in the morning. I will be back with an update.

Service is horrible. Unfortunately I did not get the employee’s name because I was so flustered but The lady on the phone was so incredibly rude. Talking down to me and talking over me on the phone. I had an issue with a missing sauce and the restaurant would not take accountability for the mistake. Instead, they yell at their customers and say things like “are you going to let me talk now? ” “Are you done talking? ” And “do you not understand? ” In a very vulgar tone.
I would not ever recommend this location to anyone. There are other Swiss chalet’s with better service out there

Ordered a luncheon via phone for my staff for next day pickup. I was able to email the manager a list of names and food choices. I was impressed with the staff writing the names of employees on the box to make my life so much easier distributing to everyone. Great Customer Service. DELOR WINDOW COVERINGS

I had placed an order for delivery through swish chalets contact center and proceeded to wait an hour and half without my food. Upon calling back, i had found out that my order had not been placed after giving my card and address details. I had called the call center and was unprofessionally hanged up on and after several tries they had told me to contact the store location to locate my order. Finally I had reached the Woodbridge location line and was put on the phone with an amazing manager by the name of Ginell. She handled the situation with the utmost professionalism and integrity and had made sure I was compensated for my time, money, and efforts. My order was sent to my home asap with an amazing personal message. Ginell is by far the best manager I have ever come across and her efforts should be rewarded. Without Ginell I would not be a happy customer.

I had the pleasure of dining at this amazing restaurant, my waiter was Cassandra I’ve been to many other locations but this is my new favourite. The food came out fast and hot, our server was very accommodating reassuring to any of my concerns as I do have allergies and she was very well mannered. DELIVERY TIP SCAM. Ordered delivery - two times in a row drivers asked for signature on the bill when asked why they couldn’t answer. The only reason they would need a signature on the bill is to change the original payment made. Be aware of this tipping scam at this location.

Absolutely AWFUL experience with this location! We have had a bad experience here before but decided to try again. Will NEVER go back. Two items were missing when we arrived home. We called in, and the girl on the phone was extremely rude, obviously NO customer service training at all. Asked us "Well what do you want me to do about it? " So we replied 'Well what can you offer us? " She told us there was nothing she could do, so we asked for the manager. She put us on hold for 20 min. During this 20 min we decided to eat while we waited and proceeded to find not one but TWO hairs in our food. One of them my husband didn't notice and he got it in his mouth. She never came back to the phone, so we called again. Someone answered and hung up. THREE TIMES. My husband waited and then called back to speak to the manager. The girl who answered asked "WHY? ! " in a very rude tone. When we finally got the manager on the phone he had NO care in the world. He just said "I'm sorry about that" and said he could only give us a credit for one of the missing items and said there was nothing else he could do. When we asked "So you have nothing to say about TWO hairs in our food and being put on hold for 20 min? " he just kept saying "I'm sorry about that" over and over like a broken record but with no solution.
Beware.avoid this location!

Ordered $100 worth of food just to get disgusting and burnt fries that were not edible. Definitely not coming back to this location and I would advise against coming here too.

I would probably give this location a 1 star and that's me being kind. 20 mins before anyone acknowledged us. Once she got to us, no apologies for taking long. After we were given our food, no check in to ensure we received everything we ordered for a good 30 mins. We love Swiss chalet but won't be returning to this location. This was a complete waste of my time and money.

I have ordered form this location a few times. Each time was a worsening experience that has ultimately led to this review.

I pre-ordered my meal 2 hours ahead of the scheduled pick up and paid in full. I arrived to the location on time only to be told that the order isn’t ready and it would likely take another 20 min. I asked for a refund which the rude uncaring “manager” issued and didn’t even bother to apologize.

I emailed customer service and got the same uncaring response.

The is clearly a poorly managed restaurant. Just order somewhere else there are lots of other more deserving businesses.

Ordered about 6 items and some how every item was wrong. Despite my order being perfectly correct as I ordered on the receipt. I then waited more than an hour to get them to fix my order, this place has the worst customer service. I have been going to this location for 5+ years and it gets worse every time I go, this is not the first case of this happening. Never go here if you have other options, if you do always double check your order.

I’ve received delivery from this location numerous times, and I would say 9/10 times, the order is wrong or food received is cold. But because we do enjoy Swiss chalet, we continue to order because that is the only location that will deliver to my address. Tonight we tried to order, I informed them that I would be paying cash at the door to be told that they don’t do that and it would have to be prepaid over the phone with credit card. I don’t know if this is a new covid policy, or when this changed, but for me, that was enough to order from another location and pick up the food.

Bottom line i ordered a half chicken combo. The sign shows a bottled drink with your chicken combo in the photo. It also stated at the top of the sign that a beverage is included with a combo purchase.
They said no beverage included with your combo but are welcome to purchase a drink separately. I spoke to the manager and he said No the drink is not included with the combo. Even when it says it clearly in the signs in the store.

After covid, instead of helping folks by offering pick up in store and curbside pickup along with payment options to pay at store or drive thru, Why would you stop offering payment options that helped customers? Wish Swiss Chalet didn't keep getting worse in their business life cycle.

Excellent. Management paid for our meal. It was a thoughtful and generous way to show their customer appreciation for our group of 4 people. They had corporate people taking photos, videos, and asking questions regarding their Festive Meals. The staff were very pleasant and professional. I loved the Christmas atmosphere. Thanks

I'm actually not sure who gets to benefit from my review be it that I ordered Swiss Chalet and something from Harvey's at the same pick-up cash. We love this restaurant combo and the fact that we can select off of 2 menus at one cash and don't require sit down service to do so. Our experience has always been great here even during the busiest of times. Staff are super accommodating and always positive. Today Rocco at the cash was great. He really new his stuff across the board. Answered all my questions and said no problem on any extras I needed, i.e.: cups of water (that he filled for us), provided an extra Chalet house dressing when asked for it, and used a coupon code for me so I could try the "Lightlife" plant-based burger in a combo and save a bit of money cuz the coupons I had didn't have that one. He really showed he cared and than means a lot at the end of the day. Customer service at it's best!

My only negative (and I agree with another reviewer on this) was that is was pretty smoky in the Harvey's. My kid commented on it too. Maybe there's something wrong with the exhaust fans? Might want to check on that ;) Other than that, we will always come back to this location for the best of both worlds! Big thanks to Rocco and the staff and management!

Disgusted is an understatement.

This evening myself and five other friends decided to go out for what we hoped would be a nice dinner to catch up.

The second we walked into the restaurant, it was a zoo. The front of the house was runed by two young employees that clearly weren't trained properly and didnt know what they were doing.

After being told that it would be a half hour wait, I proceeded to follow up only to find out that it would be another half hour as the two hostesses had sat down another larger group prior to us despite how much longer we had been waiting.

The hostesses did not have any shame. They failed to realize that one of the people in our group was sitting beside them and over heard the hostesses talking nasty about us. They proceeded to talk about us to other customers.

Finally after an hour and fifteen minutes we got our table. To fast forward this all, it took an hour for us to receive our food. I had requested well done meat, and received the pinkest piece of chicken I had ever seen. My husband had asked to have it returned and put onto the grill. Five minutes later, my chicken came to me completely burnt. I was not able to even touch it. Another person in our group had asked for specific toppings on their burger, and did not receive what they had asked for. Worst part of this all, I had to pay for my untouched meal.

I am extremely disappointed, disgusted and mortified at the experience we had. I had been going to this specific location since I was a young kid. I am a loyal customer who visits this restaurant 1-2 times a month. I can honestly and truthfully say that I will NEVER ever under any circumstance step a foot in this restaurant after the horrible customer service. I will ensure that people I know are aware of my experience.

Staff was very friendly, but food could have been better. Ordered the rotisserie chicken wrap was very dry and had very hard pieces of chicken in it. Couldn’t get myself to finish it.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!
waited almost an hour before we got in then to top it all off we found out that the girls up front put a nother party in front of us which is poor management they also took forever for a server to come out, normally me and my wife come all the time and very few times have we had problems but this topped it off, after we found out that we were put behind my wife and I and some friends were going to leave when we left I noticed to two girls upfront talk bad about us as we left I told my wife and her friend to go inside and talk to the manager, they spoke to a manager got us ahead and all they offered was free desert.
This is sad for a place like swiss chalet always good service but tonight was horrible and me and my wife will be rethinking about coming back to this location again.

Izabelle was great. Extra attentive and great portion sizes. Had a great experience and will definitely be back. Garlic fries are spectacular. Everything else was also quite good.

We have been to this location twice. Clearly we haven’t learned our lesson. The service here is beyond slow. Like nothing We have ever experienced (other than in other countries). Today was our third attempt at eating here with our 3 young children. After waiting to be seated, and then sitting waiting for a server to come, we decided to just walk out. We knew if we stayed we’d be waiting all night. We saw another couple finally take their bill right up to the staff and ask to pay, because they had waited so long and wanted to leave. Funny part is, we walked right past the staff that seated us on our way out, and I truly think they didn’t even notice us leaving! Either the staff needs to be trained on timeliness or this place was understaffed. Swiss Chalet is known to be a quick, affordable dining experience. If you maybe don’t have young kids, or you have extra time to kill, perfect place for you.

I ordered my usual half Chicken with a Cesare Salad instead of fries and to my suprise the Woodbridge location @ Weston and Rutherford said Yes to the substitution Good Job Guys. Most Importantly you guys Wowed Me. Keep it up.

I had such a lovely time with my boyfriend here. Our server Julia, was a fantastic server with a friendly personality. She was always checking up on us to see if we were okay. Will definitely be coming back!

Service is terrible there and the staff are very unprofessional and be careful what u eat bc u might get hair in ur food bc it has happen to me more then once and they let people come in the restaurant and beg money while ur eating your food at the table. They are even lucky I’m giving them one star. I will definitely not be returning to this location or recommending them.

I remember back in the day when Swiss chalet used to be top dog now they're like a dead dog! They have very small portion sizes, their meat is raw & it's pricey for how little you get. They need to step it up because they've already lost my family as customers.

Never go to this restaurant when it's busy and there's a line up when you walk in! I've made reservations for this location thru opentable and when i reached this Swiss Chalet location 5 minutes before, there was a line up of guests in the waiting area and when i approached the front desk to let them know my reservation time, they said that they dont do reservations and she went to check with her manager which then she came back and passed that message on to me and added me to a list of waiting guests. When asked how long the wait is, i was told 25 to 35 minutes. We waited patiently 35 minutes and when i asked again how long, i was told another 15 to 20 minutes. I've then just made the decision to go to the drive thru and after placing the order, i was told it would take about 15 minutes. I patiently waited and the food arrived by a gentlemen. We then headed home and when we opened the food and began dinner. I ate the bread first then the fries. I always save the chicken for last. Since we were watching a movie, the room was dark and while eatting the chicken half way, it started tasting weird. So i turned on the lights to discover that the chicken is half cooked and raw inside! I then proceeded to look for the receipt and contact the restaurant to make them aware. There was no phone number on the receipt! I then contacted customer service in which i was given a store credit. They also offered to bring another order of chicken but after that experience and currently having tummy pain, i dont want any more chicken. The moral and point of my review os to beware when this restaurant is busy as they tend to rush preparing your food as this is not the first time this has happened!

Came here with my family on Saturday night for dinner. Waitress assisting us started off to be very friendly and welcoming. We placed our orders for food and drinks. The Wait time wasnt too long. When the food came, everything came out besides my boyfriend’s order. The waitress came over shortly after and noticed that his meal was missing, went to go check on it. She then apologizes and tells us she accidentally forgot to punch in his order.he had to wait an extra 10mins for his portion while everyone is almost halfway through their meal when his meal comes out. Strike #2, when it comes out; it happens to be the wrong order of ribs. He ordered the back ribs and was given the side ribs. We alerted the waitress and her reply was “ the kitchen probably mixed it up, but i’ll make sure you’ll only be charged for the back ribs”. Price wasnt the concern. It was the fact the wrong order came out and she didnt even offer a solution. She then proceeded to come back to our table 10 mins after and said that these were back ribs when clearly they werent. Strike #3, this server made no attempt to check on our table, besides giving us extra napkins. She didnt bother asking how our food was tasting or if we would like a refill for our drinks. While on the other hand i heard her checking on the table beside us; asking how their food is. Very horrible experience and extremely disappointed. This location is usually wonderful and the service is usually amazing.

For some reason I feel Swiss Chalet chicken is dry and we have lot more better option, Sorry but it's me thinking better use money wisely!
