Just had a quick bite here and it was very cozy. Our server Michelle was very pleasant and advised us of the menu. She is very knowledgeable about the menu and the food. She is able tonexplain the food in detail when being asked about the taste and what is back on the menu. She is polite.

Our dine in experience today was fantastic. Nicole was informative and cheerful. The was served in less than 10 minutes. It's my first time eating at this location and it's my now my favorite of the three in this area. We will be returning. Thank-you 853 Milner Road!

My family used to dine a lot at Swiss Chalet for decades at different locations. Lately, me and my wife have just been going to this location. I noticed lately portions of food are getting smaller while the price is getting higher. French fries and onion rings are to oily too!

About 3 years ago we frequented Swiss Ch almost every second week Until our food kept coming cold! Cold chicken cold baked potato etc! We kept telling the waitor this and finally said if it come to us cold again we will not be back!
Guess what - COLD AGAIN!
So we did not go back until yesterday!
We ordered our chicken potatoes etc.
GUESS WHAT!? Not only was the potatoes and chicken col EVEN the SAUCE Was just luke warm!?
We Will try again in the next 3 or 4 years! I again mentioned all of this to the waitress!

Dont you dare eat in this location. The white meat chicken is so dry. The rice is not good. The fries served were soggy.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, the lady who serves there, the one with the blonde hair (short, pixie), does not respect privacy on making payments. Instead of me navigating the card machine, she clicks and decides. Her hand was so fast she misclicked my points. So i only used half of my points. She cuts me while im talking. She also clicks “satified” for the experience rating when it was suppose to be ME, AS THE CUSTOMER, Who should be rating them. She clicked this “satisfied” rating twice.

Infact, she was disapointed when i chose not to give tip the 2nd time. OF COURSE I CANT GIVE TIP TWICE IN A ROW, AND PAY FOR THE EXTRA AMOUNT THAT WERE NOT USED FOR POINTS.

I think this was really a bad experience. I felt so bad that she had to say, “well, dont you have cash to pay for the remaining amount? Because even if you use points, you still need to pay the excess” - THAT WAS DELIVERED IN A SARCASTIC MANNER.

IMAGINE YOURSELF BEING THE CUSTOMER WHO WAS ASKED IF YOU CAN PAY THE REMAINING AMOUNT. THATS LIKE 40 DOLLARS OF ANOTHER PAYMENT BECAUSE OF HER MISTAKE. THE VERY REASON WHY IM EATING THERE IS BECAUSE I EARNED THE POINTS AND I CANT AFFORD TO PAY THAT HIGH OF AMOUNT FOR JUST 1 MEAL.

I just find this experience so frustrating. Her attitude is extremely not for customer service. She ruined a special day in my life.

I would give this restaurant 0 stars, but unfortunately this is not an option. This is by far THE WORST restaurant experience of my life.

We arrived after a trip to the Toronto Zoo with our toddler because it was close in location and it's a nice family restaurant to bring our toddler to.

FIRST - NO CRAYONS: we arrived and were seated with our menus and the kids menu which had a colouring page on the back but was not accompamied with Crayons and when I asked the server, she said they didn't have any. Crayons don't cost much and can be purchased at the dollar store so I'm not sure why they would skim here especially since they are in close proximity to the Toronto Zoo where lots of families take their children.

SECOND - BEER: our beer came barely cold with a fly floating on top - yummy right?

THIRD - GLASSES: the first beer glass they brought with our pitcher was dirty. I pointed it out and our server brought another glass which was also dirty and smelt like the milkshake or drink that was in there before. Eventually I asked for a plastic kids cup and we left with a half pitcher of beer still on the table because we were so disgusted.

FOURTH - WRONG ORDER: our daughters meal was supposed to be chicken strips with mashed potatoes and gravy. We got the gravy but french fries instead of mashed potatoes. Not such a big deal to us though.

FIFTH - CHICKEN: both my chicken and my husband's chickene were pink/red.

SIXTH - while our waitress apologized and acknowledged all the screws ups with our order there was no offer to make things right.

My husband, toddler and I visited this Swiss Chalet last year after a trip to the Toronto Zoo and it was great. I'm not sure if management changed or what happened but this is unacceptable.

Do not go here if you don't want food poisoning!

We ordered lunch for a customer visit, and they did not provide any napkins or cutlery as requested. In addition, the chicken wrap had so many bones and cartilage that it was inedible.in contrast to the picture, the hot chicken sandwich arrived on a bun and not bread so very difficult to cover in gravy and enjoy. Very embarrassing and unexpected as Swiss Chalet is usually very reliable. Skip this location as they appear to be phoning it in on customer satisfaction.

We ordered a combo, and didn’t give us a drink cause we didn’t ask for a drink… so I have to go back to the cashier and Ask a drink…

Dirty tables… poor customer service
They never ask your name for your order.

Should train more Customer service better…

They should change their slogan to “always so little for so much”

Ordered for a delivery order for my partner and I. His “quarter chicken” was more like 1/8th of a chicken, and there was no butter for the bun or ketchup for the fries included. The food tasted fine, but it was hardly enough for what we spent. I used to love Swiss Chalet as a child but their quantities and service have obviously decreased since then. Will not be ordering from/dining in there anymore.

The portions and food have become garbage. For years I would always order the chicken spring rolls - they were large and came with six spring rolls, and were very filling. Tonight my family and I ordered food, and were extremely disappointed with the quality. I ordered the chicken spring rolls, and instead of getting 6 rolls, I only got 4, and they were half the size and absolute garbage compared to what they used to be. Swiss chalet is just another fast food place that can’t keep up. Don’t order from them anywhere. Especially not this location!
Read the reviews, and you’ll definitely want to stay away from this cheap location. Maybe others are better - but you might as well save your money here!

Worst Swiss chalet location in the GTA. I've gone here several times and it keeps getting worse. DIRTY floors. Rude and arrogant staff who don't know how to operate a cash register or charge the correct amount for items. Slow service and cold food.

Most disorganized place ever. I booked our team with 25 people. Took 1 hour to get food and we were the only one's in the restaurant. It took 45 minutes to check out. We ordered by team jerseys to make it easier butthat didn't even help. Never gave a thumbs down before to a restaurant but there is always a first. This is the one.

The food was very good, very clean atmosphere, I really want to give credit to our server nicole, she's very professional, I qas pretty annoyed when I was going through the covid screening process but after the screening process nicole started taking our order and provided us a friendly service, I will visit this location again and also will recommend it to everyone

I’ve never waited so long at a front counter of a restaurant to not see a single employee or anyone walking around to see how people are doing or even to acknowledge customers waiting to be seated or even get information…… This was such a useless visit to a place that would consider themselves a restaurant, and this had not been the first time, i let it slide prior thinking it may have been a one off but nope.

I ordered pickup online so that I wouldn't have to wait long. I was mistakenly. I had received an email saying that pickup was 5: 35pm. Got there a few minutes after only to find a long line. There was only one line for all customers. In-store ordering, online orders, doordash, pick up.everyone! How inefficient. The sign indicating there was only one line was hidden by the lineup so two people coming for pickup went to the front of the line which is a natural thing to do because one would expect a lineup for only in store ordering. I'm sure this occurs all the time. Management should seriously look into this inefficiency. One customer even comment that it was the slowest fast-food she's ever encountered. No kidding.

I was in last week and ordered a meal. Today I called to order the same meal for pick up and was given the run around. Online order person isn't even in the region, and can't find the item I requested.
They transferred me to the actual store, and their response was to call the online number to place the order.
After 30 minutes on the phone. I'm fed up and will lodge a complaint with head office.

Staff was good.ordered chicken leg dinner for two.one of the leg was overcooked and the chicken was hard to bite.also since the dinning was open now but we were still given food in a take away container even though we told them that we would be dinning in.we literally had to eat in the lid of the box.so not really a good service I would say.

I went into the Harvey's which is attached to the Swiss Chalet. First time since pandemic started as I was at the office today. First I stood there waiting for someone to take my order while all the door dash and uber eats went by me. Then I waited for someone to make it. They don't even ask you anymore how you want it. What happens to make it your way. Could barely get they're attention to add some extra pickles. Then the double hamburger was so over cooked. This is not the Harvey's I used to love. Not sure if its just this location and they are under staff but I won't return. Rather go to McDonald's or A&W.

Food is great, cooked better than the other locations however ordering for curbside pickup is terrible. 2 x now I waited over 45 mins and then either had to go through drive thru or walk in to get my order which took an extra 15 mins and defeated the purposes of ordering in advance. The other locations were much better for curbside.

WORST SERVICE EVER!
I ordered online. It said my order would be ready in 15 mins. I had a 30 min drive to get there so I expected it to be ready when I got there. I paid for my order and was told it wasn't ready. I expected a 5 -10 min wait. 20 mins go by. I asked the employee where my order was after being ignored a couple times, they said a few more mins. Another 15 -20 go by, still no order. I asked the employee to find out how much longer. After 4 times, he still said few more mins. At this point I just want a refund. Screw the food! But no, they continued to ignore me when I asked about 4-5 times for a refund. Finally the useless manager comes out, brushes me off. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS LOCATION AGAIN!
Everyone needs retraining on Customer Service because this location doesn't know what that means!

Ordered tonight from Swiss Chalet. Missing half my order and the half that showed up was cold. I was told they would replace my order and only half showed up again. Shawn at the Morningside Restaurant was very quick to get me off the phone so he messed up my order. Ordered at 7: 15 first order came at 8. Called for replacement, was on hold for 30 minute by the time they sent the second half of it was almost 9 pm. Never did get the correct order. Very bad customer service. Very very bad!

I told my friends about this place with my warmest recommendations. I go their often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the cooking is flavorable and the crew is very friendly and cooperative. Every time we eat in this place we pass a gorgeous evening.warmly recommended.

This location took $98 of my money on Thanksgiving sunday and never delivered the food. The head office keeps messing around by offering gift certificates worth $30 to $60 compared to my loss of $98. These gift certificates cannot be used for delivery even though restaurants are closed for dining due to covid.

Nice Swiss Chalet. Attached to a Harvey's. They share a drive thru which is very helpful. The location is kind of difficult to access but there is plenty of parking.

Consistency lacks at this location. Sometimes the food is good, sometimes it isnt. Waiters are sometimes welcoming, sometimes they arent. We always feel like its a gamble coming here cause we don't know what were going to face.

The small soup was delicious as usual. My honey had the fish and chips. I was going to have the asiago dip for my dinner. Crazy Anniversary dinner wasn't it? His came out beautifully done. Mine on the other had was cold, wrongly plated and tasted off. There was no way I could eat it. I won't be eating at that location again. I didn't even think to snap a pic. I ended up eating my dinner elsewhere. It was delicious.

When we first walked into the restaurant we were greeted by our server who didn't seem particularly happy to serve us. We didn't get a smile the entire time. We ordered our food and some was thrown onto the plate like the chef was angry, others were missing sides and some things were added that was asked to be taken off the order. The kids meal was burnt and had French Fries stuck to the pizza still our server seemed like she had no care in the world. Generally I enjoy Swiss Chalet experience, today was incredibly disappointing.

Got delivery. As usual, something was missing from the order.but not ketchup! I asked for NO condiments, but received about 25 ketchup packets. Also, can the container of Cole slaw that comes with the ribs possibly be any smaller? When did cabbage become expensive?

We had been going to Swiss Chalet at Hwy 7 and Mccowan but the past few experiences therr were terrible. We had good service at Scarborough Town Center but the food wasn't always good. So we tried the one at Milner and Morningside. Food was Great (well cooked and had flavor) and our waitress MAGGIE! Was GREAT fun engaging attentive and had the BEST personality. So much so we decided to drive all the way back there from Markham to have dinner. The experience the 2nd time around was even better so had to let the Manager know and Give credit where its due online!

THANKS MAGGIE be seeing you again soon.

What can I say about Swiss Chalet. There serves just isn't what it used to be. This is the second time in a row we have had bad service from the same restaurant. I'm not sure if we will go back again.

We've been here before and had good experiences. Today, there was a long black hair in one of the fry boxes in our family meal. The fries were not salted, and unfortunately soggy/oily (as if they were rushed). Lastly, the bread was incredibly stale - inedible, actually. I called the location and the manager gave us a $10 dollar credit which I accepted despite it seeming too low. I suspect we will use the credit and go to another location going forward.

I have been to many swiss chalet locations and by far the location at 853 milner in scarborough is the worst for food quality. The staff are polite and courteous and the restaurant is clean. The food we had ordered for take out was extremely cold and dry. The dinner roll was rock hard and their poutine tasted horrible.

I would give them an A+ for their service but a D- for food quality. Would not go back.

Great service but feeling like the quality of food at SC in general has been declining over the years. Took a risk and ordered the shrimp and chicken deal but should have probably skipped out on the shrimp - it was literally 6-8 pieces of shrimp floating in butter. Would not recommend to order this plate! Stick to the rotisserie chicken and ribs at SC

This place has had a great face lift same great food much cleaner restuarant. Also has a Harvey's attached to it. Plus there is take out. Server was quick and food service was fast. Just sat down and was served within minutes with our appetizers.

The food was great, especially the pork ribQuantity of food is worth for money. Decent ambience but the place wasn't really clean. The tables and seats had crumbs of food on them from the previous diners. The glasses in which water was served weren't clean and had cracks on them.

They always run out of dark meat and when I did order dark meat and they said they have it, THEY STILL GAVE ME WHITE MEAT!

This happened more than 1 occasion.

I will NEVER order from swiss chalet again.

Waitress didn't bring my shrimp until my chicken was almost gone. Shrimp was inedible and like rubber. I told this to waitress and she said she's let the cooks know. Never offered to replace it and still charged me full price. 5 of 7 shrimp were still in the bowl.

This is my Swiss Chalet restaurant now. Used to go to the Kingston road one, but that store just is NO GOOD. Great service at the milner location, the food is always good and the staff are very friendly and helpful when there are specials on items. Thx. R. Chard
