Swiss Chalet

I am a regular/weekly pickup customer at this location. Family of 5 ordering family pack and 1/2 double leg most of the time. Lately, service has been a bit subpar (slow), but most importantly, the food portions have been scaled back significantly. Fries and poutine now are 60% of what it was. I will likely pickup from elsewhere as the last 3 orders have been consistently the same small portions. Prices were recently increased and portions decreased.if this is consistent at other locations, you have just lost a regular customer!
UPDATE: It was nice to hear that the review prompted an email from the company, but they never reached out to me after that email. We tried another location on Woodbine north of Steeles and the serving size is definitely larger. Sad to say that we will no longer order from this location even though it is closer to home.

This Swiss Chalet location is great! I've been coming here regularly with my friend. The food is great. We usually get the buffalo wings and chicken spring rolls. Very tasty! Kudos to the kitchen staff!
Our server Olivia is phenomenal. We would even ask for her. Because she's prompt, courteous, she remembers exactly what drinks we want before even ordering and she always has a smile on her face. Keep up the Excellent work!

Ribs are passable but chicken is tasteless and dry

We come by here often and is one location we can rely on for great food!
This place has great parking and ideally located as a good stop if you’re driving and looking for a comfort meal.
Chicken is fresh and there is drive through.

Kids menu may have changed but the Mac and cheese balls are awesome! I literally trade my child one of them and give some
of my chicken and rib.they should have the fried Mac and cheese balls as an appetizer!

Alcoholic beverages here are reasonably priced and pairs well with food.

Our server, Olivia, really went above and beyond which made our experience very lovely. She was tentative and extremely friendly despite the fact that she was responsible for a big, busy section.

Don't bother coming to a Swiss chalet past 5pm for any dark meat. Times are tough when a chicken place run out of chicken without being full of customers.

- the way how I was treated is an understatement.there was a missing item and something floating in my drink.
- went back for my refund, and brought items back as proof.manger refused to give me back my money and ask me “if i wanted the keys to her store”.
- i would like my money back! Messaged head office and no reply. And get this the manger had told me if I report it nothing would happen. So isn’t that supicious.
- how could Swiss chalet let this happen? And why to this day has head office has not gotten back to me?

Food was fine but the server (dont know her name some older asian lady) was not very good. I asked if we could substitute perogies for a baked potato and she says NO! KITCHEN WILL NOT GIVE ME! Like relax lol i asked one time and the funniest part is that the perogies ARE MORE EXPENSIVE than the potato so they would be gaining even more money if she let me swap them.

Secondly i was with 2 other people and i ordered for me and my friend and she just said ok and was about to walk off WITHOUT taking my friends order lol.i know its swiss chalet but like at bare minimum she should of said “anything for you sir” not just walk off lol

I like this location because it has both fast food and dine in options. It is also attached to a Harveys so you can enjoy both chicken and hamburgers in one order.

Always love a meal at Swiss Chalet! Service from VeviLyn was excellent and food was so fresh!

Very friendly staff and services. Food was great and came quickly. Very well managed. This location makes the difference, I would drive extra miles to come to this location rather than the 3 other locations in Markham closer to me.

Great service, polite waiter named Olivia who is clearly hard working and deserves more appreciation. Good food and the inside is nice, I would definitely go here.

Always a good experience as Swiss chalet is a staple of CAnada. This location was great and Vevilyn was an excellent sweet lady who served us. We will be back as long as we get Vevilyn each time)

Welcomed by a wonderful server, Olivia. Food arrived quickly, hot, and very tasty. Olivia was very attentive, stopping by multiple times ensuring everything was to our satisfaction. Olivia is very pleasant, and we will be returning.

The kids jr. Burger combo showing $4.89 but ring up as $6.59. The respond I got is the price is wrong and the crew said no way a kids meal is $4.89.the price is the burger only where it clearly says combo. The wait is taking way too long. One customer in front of me which takes more than 15 mins. Will never come again.

Horrible horrible service dining in at this location. Where shall I start.

- Our food took over 1.5 hours to arrive. And that is just because I complained multiple times!
- The waitress delivered food to other guests AFTER we arrived
- Many other guests also complained because this location was severly understaffed and looked like a mess

We will never dine in at this location again.

Great service at this Swiss Chalet location. Restaurant was clean and airy. Food was as expected for this chain.

The neighbourhood rotisserie chicken family restaurant, busy place at mealtimes, great tasting rotisserie chicken with a mountain of French fries. Generous servings with friendly and fast service.

I am a teacher and I organized a diner for my 25 students, as a part of our grade 6 graduation party. The staff was very organized and provide us with the best services. The food was great, hot and they served all the group in few minutes. All the kids had fun and enjoyed their time. Thanks for Purs and all her staff

Family lunch at this place. Bread was moldy inside and when pointed this out to the manager, she got defensive and insisted they bake their bread everyday. Reluctantly replaced the bread with no apology and showed her resentment. Never ever going back to any Swiss Chalet, let alone this one. What an upsetting and horrendous experience! Beware!

I hadn’t had Swiss chalet in quite some time but it was near where we were headed so we stopped in. I have to say I was really impressed with our meal overall and the portion size. Definitely much better than what we had when we would go to other locations in the past.

Good Wednesday lunch break. Staff are Very friendly. Service is always excellent and food is always fresh and hot.our favourite 1/4 white with fries.

Had to try that new Chalet-Style Crispy Chicken Sandwich.

I have eaten at this Harvey's/Swiss Chalet location many times. I usually visit when I'm at the Canadian Tire located in this plaza. I have had pretty much everything on the menu at Swiss Chalet over the years and I can say one thing, they are always consistent. On this trip however I had one goal in mind, to try the new 'Chalet-Style Crispy Chicken Sandwich'. I saw a poster for it when I was getting food at the Harveys at the same location. I have been all over Markham this year trying Chicken Sandwiches from the usual Fast Food Chains like KFC, Popeyes, Church's Chicken, Krispy's Kajun Chicken etc. So I grabbed the kids and a friend and went for a meal on the patio. The service was pretty good on the patio as there were always two serviers coming and going. The kids food and the other items came out pretty fast. My Chicken Sandwich was delightful. The Chicken Patty was huge, juicy and tender, and although twice as much as the Harvey's version in terms of price, you will be able to see why. The sandwich is larger than the Harvey's version and is topped with a 'secret'coleslaw and a 'tangy' Chalet Mayo. It was worth the premium price as anytime you eat at Swiss Chalet the prices are always higher than the usual fast food restuarants. The kids enjoyed thier kids meal and I really enjoyed the 'Chalet-style Crispy Chicken Sandwich' and would have it again. If you're thinking about eating at Swiss Chalet or ordering take-out give this sandwich a try.

The only issue I had during this visit was that for some reason when I scanned my Scene Points cards I realized a few days later that the points weren't added for this visit. I tried calling and using the chat feature for Scene but to no avail. The response from the Chat-Bot takes forever if it answers at all, and no one answers the phone if if you call customer service, This is my opinion is terrible customer service. Our table had two adults and three children, so Iost a quite a few points. After several atempts to reach Scene customer service to no avail, I just gave up and moved on.

Off and on for taste as sometimes it's very dry other times it's super moist. Fries are always good, overall great location with Harvey's built in.
