Swiss Chalet

Trisha went above and beyond to make sure we had a great dinner with our girls who were home for the holidays. Her sense of humor and delightful laugh made for a great experience. Food was great and service was the best!

My husband and I had such a positive experience at this location thanks to Trisha. We were in fits of laughter our whole dining experience. Her positive vibe is so contagious! By far the best waitress we’ve ever had.

The customer service here is abhorrent.

I ordered a deluxe family meal that they had in the summer, and she said they didn't have it anymore. So I asked what the cost of the regular family meal was, as we never got the regular, first she tells me the price went up and then she goes into what the family meal consists of in the snarkiest, rudest voice ever.

When I got to the window and paid, this second person was equally as rude. They shoved the family meal at me and smirked saying have a great night as it almost fell.

Looks like we take our dollars elsewhere from now on.

Absolutely disappointed with this, Mould on the pot pie. The delivery driver made a bad situation worst. Not even a apology more like it my fault you guys mess up our dinner.

Of course the food was excellent. No question there. Customer service was certainly lacking in the pick up area. We ordered combos and the server got huffy when I presented my CAA card (as encouraged by the sign on the door). Then when food was ready we didn't get the drinks. When I said we ordered combos, I got snapped at that I wasn't charged for the drinks. I didn't argue because I didn't want to get snapped at again. Not worth it. It's my fault for declining the receipt (because I thought the server actually listened to my combo order). I spent today looking forward to Swiss Chalet dinner, got poor service, but still got excellent food. I hope the staff there gets some customer service training in the near future.

Classic family restaurant, good service. Great for when you just have to have their dipping sauce

The food was okay, chicken a bit dry but I find that with most restaurant chicken. Swiss Chalet is an okay stop for the occasional lunch in my opinion.

Don’t try to use you scene points here, the swiss chalet app will steal them and the manager will treat you like you are the thief. Very ignorant and rude management from what I seen.

Great tasting food and amazing customer service. The young lady Maddy that served us was so very kind to both my two young girls and I. It’s wonderful to have such passionate and positive staff.

First time we came to this Whitby location. It's larger and newer than our usual location. The space is clean and tidy, well lit and well maintained. The staff was friendly and speedy service. Parking wasn't bad but not great. See pictures!

Chicken, chips, chalet sauce were all over salted and we went warned. The chalet sauce was not hot. After looking for a waitress for awhile I then had to get-up and find one. I asked to reheat the sauce, it came back, only slightly warmer. Oil on fries was off. When it was time to leave, same thing. I had to walk around to find a waitress. They were all sitting at a table together eating and out of eye sight. She lost out on a very generous tip and I wont be back.
Now Swiss Chalet said they are sorry and they want me to fill out a review. This is my review. Your response was weak and after that you expect me to waste my time filling out your review. Enough!

Ordered a 1/4 chicken dinner, the fries could of been cooked a bit longer, my chicken had a really strong sour taste to it, took on bite and spit it out. I cut open the chicken breast to find a blackish brown gelatinous wet liquid thru the entire piece of chicken. No offer to get me a new one or anything, just rushed it away from my table.
I can say the coleslaw was alright. But can’t live on coleslaw! Won’t be back

First time ordering take-out from this location. Took advantage of the CAA 10% discount online. When I arrived at the location, I parked in a Chalet Valet Curbside spot and someone delivered the food to my car within minutes.

Double leg dinner with fries: 10/10
Chicken was juicy and extremely flavorful. I love Swiss Chalets fries, they taste very homey.

Quarter chicken dinner with Caesar salad: 10/10
Chicken was also just as good as the double leg dinner. Caesar salad came in a pre-packaged set with bacon bits and a sauce packet. I opted out of the croutons. The sliced parmesan was perfect to tie it all together.

? Chicken pot pie: 9/10
Delicious, creamy filling with chicken, celery, peas, carrots and potato. The top crust was supee flaky, but wish the crust was a bit bigger as it didnt cover the whole pie. This is perfect if you are looking for comfort food and goes well with louisiana hot sauce.

2 Slices of Pie Special: 9/10
Our go-to is the coconut cream pie. It is so fluffy and creamy. Also tried the pecan pie which we ate with a scoop of ice cream.

Overall, I am very pleased with my experience from this Swiss Chalet location. A classic dinner option when you don't feel like cooking!
