Swiss Chalet

My husband and I just enjoyed one of the best experiences at a Swiss Chalet. The chicken was moist, the salad fresh, and everything was absolutely excellent. The service staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and efficient. The owner, Claudia, made the whole experience feel like dining with family. Awesome…. Check it out!

Had a wonderful experience visiting this location for lunch. Fantastic service and a great meal! The staff at this location are not your average service team - they go above and beyond to provide great customer service. Talos and Margaret take great pride in their service and the atmosphere.

I have been dining in Swiss Chalet for many years and I will come back to this location, because the service from Margaret was excellent. She is so friendly and the decorations in the restaurant are just beautiful. I am so happy that Swiss chalet still participates in Christmas.

If I could give it a zero star, then I would. Awful food. The rotisserie chicken was dry and rubbery. The fries were cold and tasted of rancid oil. The bun was cold and hard. My wife demanded our money back. They wasted a total of an hour of her time before refunding. The owner and the co-owner were rude, condescending and aggressive. At one point he even suggested we take this matter to head office rather than hearing us out. They were not willing to accept any responsibility at the beginning. The worst possible experience at a Swiss Chalet location. Will never visit this location again.

We went in around 830pm, 3 people starred at us and didnt say a word. Then a lady came and said you know we close at 9. But the door says 10pm. We really didn’t feel welcomed at all and they made us feel like we should leave. So we walked out.

Tasos and Lisa did a fantastic job serving our large group. Not one meal was missed- drinks kept coming and the kids were all fed quickly. They were efficient and super friendly. We were very impressed!

We had a great dinner date out. Our server Amy was amazing. So cheerful and diligent. So nice to have a server that makes us happy.
We will return!

Had a wonderful lunch today during my work break! Our server, Tasos, was very attentive and helpful from beginning to end.

Fast, friendly service. Lots of parking. Great place to bring our grandchildren; very family friendly environment. The server was great!

Craving the Swiss, I ordered 3 meals and 2 large chicken noodle soups, drive through! Upon getting my order and heading home with the soup on my lap as my boyfriend was driving I started to feel my pants were getting wet and the soup running down my leg and all over my feet and the front seat, we returned and the Manager Was more than accommodating and went well beyond what I expected to make up for this incident! I have to admit I was a little aggressive when I returned because I was pretty upset but with a smile on her face and anything she could do to keep me happy she did! All I want to say is thank you for your patience and understand with a smile on your face You made me a happy customer! Thank you! I will see you again!

Tasos, our waiter, was super friendly and our food was brought to the table quickly and was cooked to perfection. Would recommend.

Had wonderful service while here for my Aunt’s birthday dinner from Tasos. Respectable volume of music so we could carry on a conversation with the whole table. Clean, comfortable, and classic.

We went for our thanksgiving dinner with family, it was very unpleasant experience, we will never go back to this location, waited 25 min for just water to be served, my son has to bring water himself the server said yes please take it it’s for your table, we were never informed that bread rolls were out, she served us burger bun! The salad was yuk, dead lettuce, My husband orders steam veggies which just a cauliflower not steamed properly. We also ordered French fries on the side which was brought to us once we finished our meal. Over all very bad experience

Great food and even greater customer service that is patient and friendly! A great place to be casually or for any special occasion. And I always have to go for the extra sauce, it’s just so good.

This afternoon, I went to buy 2 meals. When I got home, all I got was a pumpkin pie and some cranberry sauce and chocolate. The experience was not pleasant.

Had dinner at the Appleby/Upper Middle Swiss Chalet on the weekend. First time dining in at the restaurant in a very long time. Awesome experience! Our food came out quickly, and it was hot and delicious! The staff at this location are so friendly and helpful, and we even had a manager stop by the table to ensure everything was right with our meals. Terrific service and great food! We’ll be back!

Well it took a long time to get my order I had to ask for a fork and a knife they forgot to give me my extra sauce they charged me I wouldn't go back terrible service

We had a table of 14 so big group.
Our server debbie was great. Got all the order right and did it all with a smile.
Manger sent over free apps when we arrived which was nice surprise and treat. Food was brought out in timely manner (for such a large group) and we had some allergies so it was great that the restaurant was able to make accommodations.

Waitress was fantastic, very nice and accommodated our seating needs. I think I saw Ed Norton at the restaurant as well.:)

Swiss Chalet Appleby is the best location for my family to enjoy a nice dinner! Our server Lisa is always so friendly and we always get excellent service from her! The food is always steaming hot and delicious, we will always enjoy coming back.

Never tire of coming to this location with my good friend when l am visiting Burlington.

This Swiss Chalet location is the best out there. There is barely any wait for the drive thru compared to the ones I've gone to before. Never going to any other Swiss Chalet location ever.

This is my favourite Swiss Chalet.
The young people who work there are always very helpful with answering my questions and I see them working very hard every time I go there.

Great food but the prices are just far too expensive for what you get. Two quarter dinners are $32 at the takeout window! Ouch. Whole cooked chickens at the near by grocery store are like 10 or 12 bucks. You can even get swiss chalet sauce mix at grocery stores.

Used to be a great family value. Not any more. I would however still recommend their fries. Family fry pack is like $7 with a sauce. That and the chicken at grocery store and you are good to go!

Food is always hot and fresh!

Terrible we had a whole chicken cut into quarters. The rice had tomatoes in it, and smell like there was some seasoning on it, and the fries were absolutely terrible they didn't even look like fries. We didn't enjoy the order at all, my family said not to ever get it again, we will to a grocery store as you can actually see what the food looks, instead of packing in a brown paper bag, then you have to trust them that they will give you. NO WAY!

First time getting SC in quite some time. Too bad it was disappointing. They gave us white quarter when I clearly and specifically asked for dark. I recieved my order second, although I suspect based on similar packages given, that the order may have gotten mixed. The service was friendly enough, but for a drive thru that was not that busy, it should have been better.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner on Wednesday evening from Swiss Chalet at Appleby restaurant. We did take out and the meal was awesome, chicken moist, mashed potatoes and gravy so good. My husband enjoyed his ample portion of fries. We each had a piece of pie, lemon and pecan delicious. Our meals were hot when we got them home. Great job everyone, thanks to Bailey on the take out window for her special care and attentiveness to our order. We look forward to the day when we will feel comfortable dining in with all of you but until then we will continue to do take out. Well done Swiss Chalet.

By far the worst delivery experience I have ever had.

We had pre-ordered our food to arrive at 7 PM and the driver arrived at 6: 45. Instructions for a contactless delivery were completely ignored, and he called instead of leaving it at the instructed door. I missed his call (as I was not expecting food that early) and he left (when he could have simply left the food). I then received a cryptic email instruction me to call the 1-800 number because the driver "couldn't get in". After getting assistance from the 1-800 number (and asking SPECIFICALLY for new food) the same driver returned.

He, again, called instead of following instructions and IMMEDIATELY began YELLING at me over the phone. Not even a greeting hello, or that he was from Swiss Chalet. When I met him at the door, his mask was completely OFF his face, where he continued yelling at me.

The food was clearly reheated (poorly) and overall was a terrible dining experience. Our food was barely lukewarm. $50 to be yelled at and receive poor quality food is not the customer experience I was anticipating.this is exactly why third parties like Skip the Dishes exist.

Great place with fast and friendly service! Our server Karen was very attentive and our food came out hot and fresh.

Went for chicken tonight but Swiss chalet said they weren't serving chicken right now at the drive thru! No excuse or reason given. Well I'll be. ‍️

Unfortunately couldn’t eat in the dining room like we normally would like to, but our takeout meal was just as good and fresh!

Ate lunch there today, service was awesome (Nakita!). They have new owners and we definitely noticed the food improvement. Fast, hot and delicious. I had Spring rolls and a Caesar salad (no more kale, yay!) and hubby had Chicken pot pie (full of chicken!) and soup. Will definitely be back again!

We recently had a late lunch at the Appleby location. Our food was hot and fresh with generous portions but fries could have less of the crunchy end pieces and a veggie on the side would have been nice. (messy chicken sandwiches).
Service was excellent. The fresh coffee was much appreciated.
Our server Nikita was very friendly and attentive.
The complimentary cheesecake to take home was awesome.
Covid protocols in place

I recently visited Swiss Chalet on Appleby Line in Burlington. The new owners/ management and staff were phenomenal me and my roommate were taken care of and they were very on point with there covid protocols.
Also their server Nakita was very pleasant prompt and extremely polite I don’t write many reviews but I thought this one was needed
I would suggest this location to all my friends and family

Wanted to get my mom a Christmas dinner. Her favorite is Swiss Chalet. I can never miss with this choice.
Won't be the last time I go again.

Been going to this Swiss Chalet for years. One of my fave locations.
Friendly staff, clean environment, delicious food (good portions) & affordable.
Went here last night and our server Debbie was friendly, helpful and kind. Made our experience that much better.

AGAIN items missing from our order. Regular occurrence whether drive thru or online Ordering. Not sure what is wrong with this location. Chicken caesar salad and NO LETTUCE? How do you forget lettuce for a salad order? I give up. And wont be going back.

Food is always great as is the service. Low key place to have a great meal.
Takeout and delivery service at this location is atrocious. Every single time I order for delivery something is missing from the order. Today it was the CHICKEN! The chicken was missing, the thing that people generally go to Swiss Chalet for!
Well, no more, done with Swiss Chalet after today.

I got the quarter chicken with a loaded baked potato and it was very fresh and hot! The food here is always great! The service is great as well! My waitress Lisa was very friendly and helpful! I will definitely continue going here!

Not very busy, but we had to wait for our food to come out. Some dishes were then cold. Waiter didn't check on us. Won't be going back there in a while

Went here a few weeks ago with my family. The food was served very quickly. The food items looked exactly like the menu pictures!

Touch and go with the Swiss Chalet. Sometimes the service is good and other times, not so much. Their is a waitress there that has been there for eons and when we come in (we are frequent swissers) she is always so lovely and remembers us!

Ordered through skip the dishes.after waiting 10 mins for them to confirm the order I phoned them.finally after 5 tries someone answered.said he would go check and hung up. 5 mins later my order gets cancelled.try calling back.no answer.fail

Waited over half an hour in the drive through, and to top it off short changed on the order for 4. We I called to tell them that we only had two sides instead of 4, they brushed me off and nails me a quarter dinner do one.

Less than the usual calibre of Swiss Chalet! Chicken more dry (overcooked,?), needed a magnifying glass to see the cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes have a 'skin' (from sitting too long?). Disappointing!
