Swiss Chalet

Swiss Chalet (no matter how long time passes) always has that element of "traditional family" vibe which is rare nowadays. No matter how many outrageously fancy restaurants I have taken my family to around the world on our travels, Swiss Chalet still remains a charming and beloved spot in our hearts.

THE BEST PART about this Taunton Location:

a) Server called Maria: What a rare thing to find someone who loves her job and does so with a smile and happy chats with my family and the kids! Her smile, warmth and care for my family was great. What was really sweet was when we paid, she wrote us a nice Christmas card with candy canes for the kids. It was a very heartwarming touch to a great family lunch.b) Staff members and manager: The staff people are so kind! They still keep that " good 'ol family" vibe to the place by chatting with us and cracking jokes with the kids.c) Food: I still enjoy my classic quarter chicken dinner. The chicken and the sauce never disappoint.

This is a regular haunt for my mom and I. Always great, friendly, speedy service; nice touch that the staff remembers us. This is a popular location - so be prepared to wait if you don't arrive extra early. Can be noisy for those managing hearing aids - but an early or later arrival will compensate.

We have had take out over more than a decade from this location and always had great service and experience until recently. Unfortunately in the past couple months the service in the take out area has been awful. The older man behind the counter has no idea what customer service is. He is dismissive and argumentative with customers. While in the location today we overheard him arguing with a customer that had been double charged and had his bank statement to prove it. The same man has been argumentative with us in the past about a similar situation. The last three of our orders have had allergy concerns that were mentioned in the online order and they never pay attention to the allergy requirements. Allergy information should be followed as it is a serious concern to people’s health. Customer Service only gave a $5 rebate for a meal that had cross contamination and half had to be disposed of. Disappointed with take out and customer service.

Not the friendliest staff. Waiting 8 minutes at the door to be seated. Once seated waiting 8 minutes and neither one of the 4 servers came to our table, 2 was sitting and eating themselves. So we left.

Went to swiss chalet in South Whitby, was seated and served with 1 minute. Much more friendlier. Service great at the other location.

First time at this location. Pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and service. The stuffed garlic loaf was amazing and the main was amazing.

Server was great! Food was okay as well. Unfortunately, had to wait for 30 minutes before we got our food & a/c temperature wasn't well regulated; so it was cold in the restaurant.

Order for curbside pick up due to mobility issues. When i arrived a sign was posted that i had to go in to pick up. This should have been specified when ordering. I would not have ordered from this location

Always excellent! Love the new cardboard packaging.so much better and environmentally friendly than the old plastics

I’m not sure if there’s a different person who does the prep or handles the preparation of the food on the weekdays and weekends but it is always inconsistent. I used to come in and order on the weekdays but now, I only come in and order on the weekends in the early afternoon because the quality of the food is always better. The young lady at the front is always extremely nice, ensures my food is fresh and I am always satisfied when she makes my order. Whoever handles the food preparation and is responsible for the quality of the food on the weekdays should definitely take notes from what the young lady does on the weekends.

Good food great service.
My order took to long a pickup seemed okay to me.however the lady at the service desk wasn't happy it took too long again I never complained she gave me more products as compensation for the excessive time it took to get food. Good smart server hang on to her shes always evenings on desk nice lady.

Supervisor who was unwilling to give me her name was extremely rude and unprofessional. We visit many Swiss Chalets since we love their service and food but will never visit this location again.

I asked for a half chicken dinner with white meat which the 10 other locations I’ve visited provided without issues yet this is the only location that doesn’t allow this modification even with an up charge? Ridiculous, the supervisor needs to be properly trained.

I had Waited over 1.5 hours for my order. So I called customer service. All they could say was"I apologize". They couldn't reach the store for more information on my oder so they came back to me with "what else can I help you with". When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told that it wasn't possible. Just another company that doesn't care.

We got a wonderful dinner with family, thanks everyone,
Considering the recent economy, I am a little worried because the price is too low.
