Swiss Chalet

Every time I order something a little more than the usual customer they always seem to have my order messed up or have an item missing, it’s happened multiple times at this location! They don’t even give you a recipe so that you can’t even complain later on. Make sure you always double check to see if everything was done correctly.

I placed a large order for a Christmas lunch and everything was prepared on time with no issues.
The manager was thorough in reviewing the items prepared to ensure accuracy and to ensure I was happy with the items.

So I went into this store with very low expectations, I lived in Toronto for 10+ years and every year we went to get the "festive special! ", I'd roll my eyes but the entire family would pile in and everyone but me would seemingly enjoy their meal. The chicken was always dry, and I would have to order extra chalet sauce to just stomach the dry chicken. Believe me, the "coupon" was never used in the new year, and the chocolates were the only thing I looked forward to.

Fast forward to now, it has been 6 years since I have had the festive special. So I've decided yeah I'll give it a try again, new location new part of Ontario maybe it got better?

Well.let me tell you, I've never had chicken so juicy. The first time I came, the chicken had very crispy skin and was so very juicy. I thought it was a fluke, the service was fast I didn't have to wait half an hour and everyone was very friendly.

So here I am, 2nd time in the same month. I had to make sure it wasn't just a one off. I wasn't entirely disappointed, very juicy very nice. The skin wasn't crispy this time, but that's not 100% breaking my review here. The staff was friendly, it was very busy and didn't take too long to get seated. The atmosphere isn't too loud, everything is a nice low hum. (Not like the loud Christmas music being shoved into your ears in Toronto). Overall, everything was great. I'll absolutely be making my trip back in the new year. Its only the 10th of December, might come back in for a 3rd festive special.

I'd highly recommend this location, and my next trip to Harvey's Next Door might see me end up with a delicious plate of Swiss Chalet.

Grimsby on Winward.erroneous.told I had to buy 2 sides to my meal to get 10% caa discount. Only had to spend $50.00 ex tax and alcohol. Most meals don't go that high for two. Suggest senior discount a possibility.

I frequent this location at minimum 2 to 3 times a month. Almost 75% of the time they seem to get the order wrong and miss items causing me to drive back. It is very disappointing that they seem to can’t get it right.

I have been a customer since swiss chalet started in business and this group is the best group we have experienced in that time

This was our third visit to this location. The first time all was good. Clean, safe floors and clean washroom. The second time we both noticed the floor felt oily and slick. This last time, Sat, Sept. 2,2023 the floor was so oily under foot that we both feared slipping. We both needed to use the woman's washroom before leaving. We shuffled our way there staying close to each other hoping not to slip and fall. The washroom was a disaster. We plan to find another place in Grimsby to dine out at.

Our server Ben was amazing. He is always friendly and cheerful. The dining room Manager Sahra made sure everyone in the dining room was happy and satisfied with their meal. The food was great. The restaurant owner should be proud of his staff and their service. Keep up the great work!

My mother & I had dinner at this Grimsby location on Aug 25/23. The food was delicious as always & the service was amazing! The young man who seated us (I think his name was Lucas?) was so friendly. Our server was newer, she only had been working a couple of weeks but you’d never know it. I forgot her name but it started with a “ T. “
The service manager Sarah was veery pleasant & happy to speak with us when we shared with her how great everything was. You can tell they take pride in how their restaurant operates.

I had dinner delivered tonight and it was so good, coleslaw was perfectly creamy, chicken was hot, fries were fresh and the Garlic Cheese Loaf was amazing!

I really enjoyed the supper there. The waitress was friendly and did her best to serve us.

Very good overall experience. We found the staff were very kind, attentive and friendly. I had a crispy chicken sandich and consider it the best I've ever had from multiple vendors. My wife and daughter had a quarter chicken dinner and my daughter said the fries were the best she’d had in a long time. I had to agree.
So many thanks to all the staff and special kudos to the chef for the superb cooking.

Right off highway, the strip mall where it's situated is tired, needing a lot of work. Parking lot was quite littered, broken, uneven concrete, quite run down.
Inside was clean but everything was worn. Very noisy exhaust fan in entrance.
Looks like this mall is ready to be torn down for new construction, so it's not bothering to maintain.
