Swiss Chalet

I purchased dinner at their drive through to take back to my hotel. Food was great but they didn't include napkins or utensils. Had to eat it with my hands. A plastic or paper knife and fork would have been handy.

The server was great. The fries were excellent but the chicken was over cooked and dry. Maybe it was a bad time of the day.
If i can make a recommendation, i would suggest that you have a button on the wall near the bathroom door going in and out. It is very difficult to open such a heavy as it is but when you are relying on a walker to go in and out it just doesn't work.

This is our Saturday lunch place once a month:) we are a family of four, where everyone has different food preferences, so it is a challenge sometimes to find a place where everyone would be completely content. Here we can find it all, a food for every taste in our quartet:) thanks for spoiling us in a good way:) update (10 June 2023) : the new garlic cheese loaf is wow!

I would never order food from this Restaurant Again. Horrible Service. Waited two hours for our food.

Swiss Chalet is always busy so it is not surprising we had had a short wait when we came in. We ordered the Thanksgiving special and it was very good, I especially love their baked potatoes. Unfortunately, they had run out of the Lindt Lindor chocolate that was listed in the special description. I think they were short on servers, but the one we had gave us excellent service. I think Swiss Chalet gives the best value for your money at a table service restaurant.

Food was plentiful and the service was friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend Courtney as your server. She made sure we were checked on and kept us updated on our food time. Definitely will ask for that server again. Good service is hard to come by and she made our evening delightful. Will be back to the Terry fox location.

Took an hour and a half to receive our order. They were sold out of chicken wings. They were sold out of the Thanksgiving day meal on Thanksgiving day. There were more flies in there than in a dumpster. The fruit flies were thick. I ate there a few years ago and everyone in my party got food poisoning and had bloody diarrhoea for two weeks. Salmonella or E.coli. Or both. Don’t eat there unless you are a sadomasochist.

Disgusting amount of sauce on the stir fry, the "chicken" was liquid goop and tasted like it had gone bad, the vegetables were completely raw, everything was cold, and we received a container of solidified bacon fat. Overall disgusted, will never order here again.

Awesome place! Loved coming here with my friends and family. Good is great as always and the atmosphere is always chilled and positive.

Don’t go if you have kids. We were seated in the corner. Waited for 20 minute no server. I went up to ask the hostess if we have a server and she said they would come. Sever came by and said give a minute. She keeps taking orders from other tables and following up on other tables. Still did not come. We left after 30 minute. Not sure if was because we were the only table with kids or because of our race. Very disappointed. We left. No apologies from anyone.

Unbelievably small serving of chicken in the 1/4 chicken dinner - dark meat. The "leg" looked like getting 2 wings. Almost no meat. Sauce was only warm, not hot. Fries were lukewarm and not crispy at all. Unlikely to go back. I used to like this place.

Was super busy due to bus tour but service was great. Ran out of one thing I wanted to go for but not their fault

Our server Luca was an absolute joy!

Not only did he survive the whole tour bus of people before us and still get to us quickly, he managed to keep up with us changing our minds back and forth on a large order, and even went above and beyond for me!

At a joke about getting apple juice ". Like I'm six years old again haha", he offered to try and find me a kids cup. In the end he couldn't find one, but I got a smaller cup instead and it made my day! It seems so small and stupid but he's a great waiter who managed to be a great pal for the time we spent there!

. And as a thank you, we kept him on the ball by splitting the bill between two cards and cash, which he managed handily!

Great place, great food, great time overall! Only complaint is that my chicken poutine had a very strong smokey flavor that clashed somewhat with the lighter gravy, still a great dish though!

Very simple order, had to wait 20 minutes after the app “ready” time. No explanation for the delay.

The chicken was not as good today as it usually is. The quarter chicken dark portion was much smaller than usual and the quarter chicken white was very dry. The club wrap was very good.

This Swiss Chalet has improved so much since my last review, 5 years ago. The servers and amazing, he even remembered my order, and I swear I hadn't been in there in months. Amazing food. My favorite restaurant.
