I’ve ordered take out (quarter chicken dinner) twice over the past few months. Both times the chicken was so dried out - even with sauce on it, it was terrible. I used to like Swiss Chalet as a treat every once in awhile, but doubt I’ll ever try this place again.

I love taking my mother and the wife here. They really enjoy it today I had the roast beef. It's worth trying

We wipe the edge of the table where we sit with a wet wipe an it was black! Looks like they need some cleaning staff to wipe down the whole table, not just top and the benches and backs of them need cleaning too. Makes you wonder what the kitchen looks like?

This location ALWAYS MISSES SOMETHING in take out orders, even when it’s not busy. Always something. Every single time.

I went in to order take out. They told me to wait in my vehicle so I waited and waited and waited. I finally went in and they forgot to bring it out to me. After 45 min. I was not impressed. The food was ok. But we had to reheat it.

Service was slow to get served at counter.
But they did still bring it out to my truck.
Probably 20 min wait.
Most times this place is great! This time chicken was very overcooked.

It was too crowded for the kitchen staff. Food took a little too long to arrive. Service staff were great, kitchen staff needs more people.

Came into the store with my mom and wife today for lunch wife order a chicken burger and fries the bun was burnt and as well as the chicken burger the fries were real salty sent it back i believe that they just changed the bun order my mom a tea waiter brought a cup of hot water and a tea bag asked for a tea pot last time i was there service was get as well as food that's why the 3 stars instead 1 may not return it was bad this time around

Caution: If you require an assisted device; such as a cane, be careful on the floors as they are extremely slippery. Something about the type of tiles they used on their floors. Food was well cooked and hot when it was served. Staff is friendly and kind!

We have been sitting here for 45 minutes without food arriving. We were served our drinks and that was it. I am sure it is not the wait staffs issue. This is poor service and will not come back here. Getting ready to leave!

Chicken on a bun…bun was dried out and there was hardly any chicken on it
Floor was extremely slippery. Told the waitress and she said “yah I know”

Our family ate at this location at lunchtime today (August 21) Unfortunately the service was terrible. We waited over an hour to get our meal. I understand that sometimes things happen, but it would have helped if a manger had come out, explained why the delay and apologized instead of hiding in the back and letting the servers take the complaints. Extremely disappointing.

I’ve been ordering from here for a few years. Always good. They sometime make mistakes with the order, so check it on takeout.

Visited tonight and have to say this - Swiss Chalet should pride itself on serving a quality meal that they do really well.

Tonight we tried the alternate seasoned fries and as a warning, do not be tempted to try them.
Awful. Not worthy of being on the menu. Server was great but told us no complaints about these seasoned fries yet.

One plate was barely seasoned, the other absolutely drowned.

Chicken was amazing as usual.

Three stars may seem harsh, but fries are a fundamental part of the menu and something that are normally excellent.

Restaurant gets recommended - seasoned fries do not.

Towerhill location, we haven’t ordered/eaten here in 2 years. Decided to order online to save time.not.
The restaurant was busy, I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for many years so I understand why there was a longer wait time than usual however, there were multiple customers in the pickup/takeout side of the building who had the same issue & were getting upset at the fact that ordering online was supposed to save wait time.
Upon entering, I personally had waited 15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge that I was there. Even so, my order had been placed at 6: 15 and it was 6: 50 when we arrived to pick it up. After waiting the extra 15 minutes to be seen, our order was still not ready.
We ordered 5 meals, paying $100 and got ridiculously small portions. When I say small, I counted 20 romaine pieces in my side caesar salad.
I get it, inflation is happening so prices have gone up but seriously Swiss Chalet? 1 meal wasn’t even enough for a toddler.
Unfortunately we have decided that we will not to return to Swiss Chalet and we WILL be passing this information along to our friends/family. Such a disappointment, Swiss Chalet used to be a great place to eat/get takeout from.

Well it's Swiss Chalet.
This was at the Peterborough north location. Wifey ordered ribs with the sauce on the side. The ribs were DRY, bordering on desiccated. The sauces were extremely thick, 80W, and not so hot.
Oh well.

Great service, yummy food, big portions. Although in the past when I've asked for extra fries in place of the roll/bun with the quarter chicken meal, they've done it no problem but today they said they couldn't which is kinda lame. It would only be like 10 or 15 extra fries. I was also sad to see how tiny the menu is now and that the 1/3 rack of ribs is gone. That used to be my favourite thing to order as half rack is too big for me and pretty pricey. Food was ready quickly though and it wasn't busy at all at noon on a Saturday. Server was also great about checking ingredients for dietary needs. Definitely prefer this location over the Lansdowne Street location. Quality and taste of food is better, atmosphere is newer and nicer, and the service is prompt, friendly, and helpful.

No comparison to the amazing service staff at the Lansdowne location.
Waitresses had their own table in the dining room that they all sat around and chatted while they ignored their tables. Drinks were left empty, items were missing when they came, no one came to check on us as they were busy chatting. At the Lansdowne location the waitress will bring a fresh chalet sauce if you have any leftovers - this was not offered and no finger bowls brought. We went at 5 pm as we have kids and for being an empty dining room the service was dismal.

It saddens me to write this poor review.as we are frequent patrons of Swiss Chalet. Attended last night the quarter chicken selection was over cooked and had little meat in fact grisly. The french fries were overcooked.it was actually bearly even eatable. They must have had food prepared and warming as the order was ready in record speed time. I wont be returning unfortunately.

As usual, great food, FESTIVE SPECIAL this time of year always hits a home run! Service is always great. Only problem, at this Swiss chalet location, on Chemong St, in plaza, the floors are extremely "oily" feeling, allowing the tables to easily move, opening the door for disaster. When walking to the washroom, you can feel your feet slide. The restaurant is very clean, it's not an issue that way, I'm thinking it's got something to do with the type of tiles used. Other than this, food, service and location are wonderful, lots of parking accessible entry.

We typically don’t go to this Swiss Chalet and sadly won’t return. The poor woman on cash was being yelled at by another unhappy customer, and we were missing a whole salad, all of our dips, and a chicken strip. It was a busy night but it seems these folks are under-staffed or under-trained and the cashier had to take the heat for it.

Are order was mistakenly cancelled and we had to wait a little longer. The staff and manager deserve credit for apologizing. That goes a long way with us. And to add, they made the wait worth while. Thanks very much. 5 stars for your service. Oh and the food was good too.

Great location in Peterborough with ample parking in the north end.

However, I was quite disappointed that on Thanksgiving Sunday, to be fair it was 7pm, they were already out of all pies but apple and pecan and served what I would deem smaller portions than I would have expected.

The waitress was quite quirky (in a good way), gave me some "I would run this place differently if I could" vibes, and was very accommodating throughout our meal. Thank you for taking care of us and without you the experience would have been much worse.

I always found the Lansdowne St Swiss Chalet to make me feel at home but then again I had been going there for years up until my mom passed away. We have tried the North End restaurants a few times and I have never been impressed.

Maybe next time it will be better but it won't be by my influence.

Had a fantastic Thanksgivings dinner. They did a great job at keeping all of us safe from COVID-19.

Placed an order through the app at 10am for a nearly $200 order. This would allow plenty of time to prep and have delivered for 4pm, or at least I thought. The order arrived a half hour late. Yes its a holiday, however if the 4pm time slot got too many orders then this option should be removed and go to 430. The response I got when I called the store was we got 150 orders at 10 am. Clearly you cant handle the volume then take out orders should be timed and spaced out better. Disappointed with the delivery and response. I will say on a positive note the food was good.

The crispy chicken was so juicy! Absolutely delicious! And they provided me with all dark meat like I asked.

I just sat down for take out dinner. Everything tasted great but I didnt exspect 10 small bones in a chicken on a kiaser sandwich. This is a choking hazard. Had to take the sandwich apart to even eat it.

Had hot chicken sandwich -not very hot, gravy appeared to be watered down beef gravy. Ate very little but did not complain just want others to be aware.

Food was good. But my 2 year old son's pizza and frys was so hot the pizza was still sizzling. For an adult that's fine. But putting a very hot plate right in front of a little kid is another.

It was a busy night with lineups galore but my on line order was processed within 10 minutes of the time on the app. It was hot a delicious although they did forget the sour cream for the pierogies.

Food was very good and presented well. Staff friendly but not very attentive. Never came back after we got our meal until it was time to collect our plates. Had to find a staff member for items missing on our table. Restaurant clean and comfortable.

Purchased the frozen ribs from a local grocery store. Should have purchased chalk at the dollar store. What a disappointment. Won't make that mistake ever again. Shame on you, Swiss Chalet, for allowing such an inferior product to be sold.

Normally fairly good food, we always order for pick up/delivery but tonight's meal was just morbid chicken was glazed in some bbq sauce very greasy like kfc.not the normal roasted chicken, it smelt very odd. We called and asked if they could remake the food and the gentleman on the phone was more than happy to do that for us so that was the only positive thing other than we wasted gas as we had to go pick up the food as they said it would be faster mind you we already waited 45 minutes and paid for delivery.probably will second guess ordering 40$ worth of take out that was gross!

This is our replacement.my boyfriend didn’t wanna say anything as we he didn’t want to wait again! After placing the order for delivery getting it it was gross then had to go pick up the replacement after paying for delivery and the replacement was so gross won’t be eating tonight super angry and what a waste of my money and no refund was offferd

I went to this location for lunch last week and the experience was disappointing. After ordering, my wife and I waited for about half an hour for thee food to arrive. When we were served our food the bun provided was not the standard Swiss Chalet bun but something that resembled what I've bought at Costco. I won't return

Went to take out yesterday, ordered four different dishes and a sideorder of vegetables. All was well except vegetables which were raw, they must 've cooked them just enough to warm them. Disappointing.

Diners be warned! Food was nothing special, but I won’t be eating here, or at any Swiss Chalet again as someone from the organization tried to access and use the points on my Scene rewards card.
It’s pretty sad someone would try to steal points for free movies and popcorn.

Ordered family pack and got home plated everything to realize they forgot sour cream and rolls. Had to go back and get them so my plate is probably cold to lukewarm. Also pregnant so did not enjoy driving twice. Didn't even get anything extra for inconvenience.

Our family's go to place for quick and great dinners. Only wish they kept the garlic cheese loaf!

It's a great place to dine.lunch delicious and service couldn't be better. The brownie dessert topped with ice cream chocolate and carmel sauce to die for.recommend it.

Very friendly hostess. Server started out good but neglected to do any kind of food check or drink refills. We ended up eating food that was close to, but not really what we ordered due to time constraints and lack of service. Disappointed in this location.

Our server Alexis was very good and attentive.
The unfortunate thing is the menu overhaul. A lot of favorites are gone.
