Symposium Cafe Restaurant Markham

This is a very good place in a town. Probably not many ppl notice here, but you will feel good once you're there. They are friendly, food is good enough and very comfortable atmosphere as well.

Although the food was great, the service wasn’t really that great. We sat for about 15 mins until the server came up to us. By then we were ready to order, I started ordering water for the table and the server was already walking away. I had to stop him and tell him we know what we wanted to order. Why was he in a rush for? It wasn’t even busy.

He did not once come by our table and ask how our food is. Did not ask if I wanted another drink. Or refilled any of our water.

We finished our food and we’ve been sitting here for about 25 mins now waiting for someone to come to our table. And we’re probably gonna be waiting another 20 minutes to get our bill.

Terrible service!

Good restaurant for a casual American Sunday breakfast, a little low on staff, and chairs are quite worn, other than that, good restaurant.

Amazing experience, first meal in 2024! It’s not our first time there and loved it in the past and they still keep up the awesomeness, really want to share today's experience. All staff was super friendly with lots of smile, what not to love to be greeted with smiles first the new year. Our server Kasun was super attentive, nice and friendly, took care of our requests. Not to mention the food was absolutely delicious, sharing some pictures to show. If you are wondering about the prices, it’s very reasonable. What makes this Symposium great is the manager, Suther goes around and speaks with all the guests to get feedback or need anything. I would highly recommend. Great way to start our year, both my husband and I really enjoyed the meal.

Suther served us and he was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and very reasonable.

Had a large party of 9. Service was ok. Food was ok. My hamburger was good. My wife said her meal was. All of the other people in my table said their meals was ok. Its ok!

Went for breakfast and was greeted by Kasun our server who was polite, quick and served us with care.

Symposium has a great atmosphere with tasteful decor and lots of natural light. We came for breakfast. The portions were good and the service was excellent. Our server was attentive and welcoming. Gary, the general manager, checked in with us and made sure we were taken care of. Overall it was a very pleasant experience!

Nice place and friendly staff. Prices are comparable. It was quiet when we went. Service was quick and food was great.

Went here for my sisters birthday brunch and we shared our orders so they kept one order in the back to keep it warm while we first shared our eggs. Food was good and service was kind!

Our server Isabelle was very accommodating and friendly. My colleagues and I met for a summer lunch meeting. Isabelle took her time to suggest the butter chicken w/ rice, and bean soup to me. Loved it. Thx for a great lunch experience!
