Symposium Cafe Restaurant Thornhill

Great food, atmosphere, super friendly and attentive waitress Rovin, we really enjoyed our visit!

Our server, Christina was so great. She was very attentive, and professional. The fish tacos were delicious.

We came to Symposium on Sunday for late brunch. We were seated as soon as we walked in and menu were provided to us. We got the Deluxe Omelette and Eggs Benjamin along with the Belgian Waffles and of course two coffees. The coffees were just meh and however the foods were better than your other brunch restaurants I would say but I wish the presentations would be better. When I saw the Eggs Benjamin for a second I was second guessing if it's the one I ordered. Our waiter not sure if this is how they were trained but he felt like new. He was taking away our knives and left us with two forks while we still have a full piece of waffle left. Lol it was funny to me that we had to literally break the waffle into piece using two folks to eat it.

Went to symposium with a big group and we had a great time mahyar helped us a lot and made sure we had everything we need he was very nice and took really good care of us the food was good and we all had a really good time

To day we went to symposium, we have friendly staff professionals, good food, and special to are server mahyar

Dorsa is great server, very gracious, courteous and friendly. She served us efficiently, was helpful with the dishes and pleasant.

We were there for brunch. Service and food were not good at all. I was there before and it was fantastic. Don’t recommend at all

Everything was great, quick respond and professional staff, good food and valuable.
I had a wonderful experience with my server, I suggested our server Mahyar to everyone who look for a good service.

Good night experience with nice staff and tasty food options!
Friendly staff all with big smiles which gave us a good feeling and spread good vibe!
We got Calamari and wings were so tasty!
There was a good range of drinks available and we ordered beers which served as cold as it should be.
They have a nice patio which is a good option if the weather allows.

We've given this place so many chances, but now we're done.

Scrambled eggs overcooked on one side and raw on the other.
Toast that wasn't toasted, with a little butter in only one corner.
Sausages that were shriveled up and way over cooked.
Ham that tasted like it was seasoned with road salt.

This place is VERY inconsistent and VERY overpriced.
Just over $50 for a terrible breakfast? !? !? !
Never again!

Save your money and time!
Nothing is fresh; fruits are Days old, they will only cut a few pieces of bananas and strawberries and put them on top, so to 'look' fresh. Don't go by the pictures: not even similar, even if the waitress says it.nope. The avocado toast? !? ! Don't even go near it.not real avocado, they mixed with other stuffs and the color is brown.and taste strange. The poached eggs.once again, not fresh.hard and again taste strange.
Coffee sucks.
Everything is MEDIOCRE!

Dorsa, our waitress during brunch, was truly exceptional. Her service went above and beyond, and her friendly demeanor added a delightful touch to our dining experience. She demonstrated an impressive attention to detail and made sure every aspect of our meal was perfect. We were thoroughly impressed by her professionalism and warm hospitality. Without a doubt, Dorsa contributed greatly to making our brunch memorable. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience.

Slow service, Dirty cutlery and mugs. Wasn't even a busy night. It's a go to for 65+

Sam was a really nice server. Patio is okay. Nothing really special. Espresso martini was a little too sweet but was doable. I don't usually go there but we popped in for a little bit. Too many mosquitoes. Got bitten quite a bit.

Great service, very friendly, very attentive. I enjoy the specials that provide reasonable portions of food. Actually, this is perfect for me as I hate big portions of leftovers. Usually, it ends up in the garbage.

Food and staff was great, but service was slow waited 15 min just for the change on my bill

We were group of 6 and had lunch today, we ordered 6 different plates and I would say all of them were super delicious, They also have great and fast service, we will come back soon

"I recently visited with my family, Symosium Cafe restaurant in Thornhill and had an amazing experience thanks to our server Mahyar. Not only was he incredibly friendly and attentive but he also had extensive knowledge of the menu and was able to recommend some fantastic dishes. Throughout our meal he checked on us frequently and made sure we had everything we needed. Not to mention he had a great sense of humor and really added to the overall atmosphere of the restaurant.
