I purchased my first home this summer with the help and care of Austin Weldon at Synergy Mortgage Group. Although the process was intimidating due to the current housing market and some of the unique challenges it presented, Austin was incredibly compassionate, consistently available, and patient with the (many) questions my partner and I had for him. I had been led to believe that the process of getting a mortgage would be a stressful situation, but Austin made it feel natural and easy through his measured approach, his clarity in explaining difficult concepts, and his willingness to think outside the box to help us find a solution that worked for us. Although Synergy is an Ontario-based company, Austin was able to help us get financing for our purchase of a home in Vancouver, and to make us feel confident and comfortable with the daunting task of moving out west. In a time filled with turmoil and turbulence, Austin truly kept us anchored through the many complications that arose, and made us feel as though ours was the only task he was dedicated to. On top of his proficiency at securing the best mortgage available (seriously.we shopped around and were blown away by the offers he received), he is just a fantastic individual human being, and it was a joy working with him. This was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a Mortgage Brokerage! I was referred to Josh Perez by a friend of mine. I was running into a lot of obstacles with a big name Bank, and the agent from there was impossible to get a hold of. Even though I was unable to utilize Synergy's services, Josh and Austin were so helpful with answering questions that the big name Bank couldn't. Josh and Austin had everything set up for me, if we needed to make the switch at the very last minute. They were completely honest with me from the beginning, and they were looking out for my best interests. Highly Recommended. After being told "no" by our current bank, our realtor recommended Greg from Synergy and we never looked back. Immediately Greg and Kyle made our home purchase actually seem possible. They provided straight forward estimates, giving multiple options depending on the scenario.
