Food is good. Better than mall Chinese food. Service inside the sit in restaurant side is good. Out where the casual sitting area, the service is rushed. They're too busy to care. I'm averaging the stars based on both.
My first experience eating at this restaurant was a very delicious one.
The lemon chicken was perfectly flavorful, crispy and not gummy like other places I've eaten at. Tried to eat it all in one sitting but the portion was to plentiful. No complaints here, my type of left overs.
Also ordered the Mongolian beef dish. Can I say yummy. Needless to say my belly left happy, full and tastes buds were beyond satisfied.
A nice gem of a spot to eat at besides your regular food court in a mall.
Bought food on Wednesday for almost 50 bucks. Took some out and ate it and the rest in the fridge. Food last only 2 days and been having diarrhea all Friday evening. I guess this place restaurant food can't last more than 2 days. Definitely first and last for me.
Went in for a dinner with my family, 3 kids and my wife, we ordered a few items, adding up to $125.tge food was good, the service was alright and we had no complaints. At the end of the meal the server brought the bill and DEMANDED at least a 15% tip. This behaviour instantly ruined my evening as my kids were shocked. The gentleman continued to rant about how we didn't want to leave a 15% tip and was obviously upset. The server than went to the back, where I could see him arguing with the host about this.
1. Hot and sour soup - Not good, its bit sour and seems like not freshly prepared
2. Chilli chicken - Its crispy and well prepared, probably must try item
3. Shangai Noodles - Not good, Noodles are pretty thick and flavour seems to be bit smoky without much taste. Btw there was no chicken visible in this dish.
Horrible takeout experience. I ordered online at 5: 08 for pickup at 6: 30. In the comments of the online order, I stated that I wanted NO SPICE, but entry field limited to 20 characters so couldn't elaborate. When I got the confirmation email, my "NO SPICE" comment wasn't on it, so needed to call to confirm. Took almost 20 minutes to then get through to confirm the NO Spice. When I went to pickup, I got there 5 minutes early (6: 25) in case the order was already done, at that point I was told 10-15 more minutes. At about 6: 40, I was told 10 more minutes. Then I was again told another 10 minutes. I ended up getting the order at 7: 05,35 minutes after the time I had ordered it for. During the time I waited, saw lots of people who had ordered after me (I could see the times on the receipts) being served before me. Horribly frustrating as I had 2 other families at my house waiting for me. I'd love to hear from the manager of your restaurant to discuss this. Food good, service again SUCKED, looks like they prioritize Uber/DoorDash.
From Jan 2022. Birthday dinner for my son. Couldn't get through by phone to order (tried for about 25min), online didn't have the options I needed, went to the restaurant and ordered, said it would take 40min but took 70, some of it wasn't 1/2 as good as out last time. All of the delays meant we were eating an hour+ after we wanted to.
The food was amazing, this restaurant never disappoints, good portion sizes, we had spicy peanut tofu, Buddha's feast and spicy eggplant with jasmine rice. Service was great
Terrible dining experience, one of the worst I’ve had so far. Staff is rude and they barely make an effort to communicate with customers. All dishes were served individually, we waiter for almost 40 minutes and during that time they only brought 2/5 dishes we ordered. They got cold while we waited for the others. Worst of all, when you ask the staff, the won’t reply or will just be rude. I do not recommend this place if you wan to have a good time, honestly, just go to the food court, they’ll treat you better.
I normally love eating here, the food is usually really tasty. This time I did take out and I was very disappointed by my peking BBQ pork. It was hard to chew and swallow.
Their food is the most disgusting Chinese food I’ve ever tasted. We’ve had a great Chinese food before and this is certainly not it. If you don’t know quality food, you might like it.
The service was awfull. I order Doordarshan, and I got message that my order is ready, so I came to pick up.but it was not even close of being ready. Lady there said that it is not ready yet. Why.they say on the app opposite? I was waiting 25 more min, while workers were doing everything but my order. AND after it was ready, it was seating for 10 more min, while they continued doing preparations. For better understanding I order 1 roll. It was yummy, but does not that good for 1 hout wait. They ignored guy that came and wanted to order. First time I am writing such an angry review.because girl doesn't even try to be polite and welcoming. I hope they just being understaffed.
Holy moly, usually hit or miss on service but today was something else. I ordered and when my food was ready I thought there was something extra on the tray. I asked the lady twice, telling her I don’t think the third item is mine. She insisted it was so I took it and sat back down. I was waiting for the person I was eating with to come back from the washroom so I could ask if they ordered a third item. In the meantime I opened everything and tasted the third item since I’d never had it. THE MAN CAME FROM BEHIND THE COUNTER AND TOOK THE FOOD FROM IN FRONT OF ME - AND SERVED IT TO SOMEONE ELSE! He didn’t really say anything, he didn’t ask or apologize, just came to the table, quietly muttered ‘this isn’t yours’ and took it back. I went up to the counter to tell him I had tasted it and he told me ‘no you didn’t’ and served it to the next people… kind of grossed out, what about the stuff that we don’t see? Ugh
Placing an order over the phone for delivery did not go over smoothly at all. In the past, we ordered food from this restaurant for app. 8 years, every Friday and sometimes Friday and Saturday. Delivery to our house, located around Weston and Rutherford was always free. We took a break from placing order every Friday and when I called today, was told that there would be a delivery charge of $5.00. When I asked the area where this restaurant delivers to without a delivery charge, I was told Westin and Rutherford. When I informed the person that Weston and Rutherford is the nearest major intersection to our house, person responded that since our address was a 9 minute drive from the restaurant, we would be charged a delivery charge. Not happy at all however I guess that we just will not tip the driver as generously. Hoping that they have kept up with food quality.
Bad customer service. I asked the waitress and cashier, the order is it ready and take some sauce, they think that is not their business, don't answer me any questions, told me ask other one.the waitress yelling too loud in the restaurant.dont give you change any different options if you are vegetarian, and the sushi tastes so bad, the rice is melted. Very bad experience, order 1 sushi need to wait more than half hour, wait so long. Never come back again.
First time ordering from here. We were very unimpressed. Firstly, the General Tso's came burnt. So burnt we could smell it and it was black all over. They forgot part of our order and we couldn't get through on the phone to them to let them know so that sucked. All the food was completely under-seasoned! We are not picky, in fact we like bland food, however they needed to add salt to their soup and other food! Could not believe how much the food lacked taste. They don't even properly season their fried rice as half the bucket was still white rice. To top that off, we all got sick from their food within a couple hours. So will def be passing.
Was my very first (and last) time ordering anything from here. I decided to go with the ginger beef. What I actually received could be called, Charred and Burnt, Blackened Beef. I was starving and tried a few pieces, It had a strong burnt and sooty flavour, but at the same time was extremely sweet. How any chef would think this is acceptable to serve and pass standards is mind boggling.
My wife and I love this place. All the food is very flavourful, has some good heat, and is generally delicious. We generally get various mains with some veggies and rice. There is one server in particular that we get very often and he is so friendly, funny ND helpful.
In terms of the negatives, I would say it's not really so much authentic Chinese, but if you're not going for that then it's not really an issue. Also, since we usually stick to the Chinese mains, I couldn't really comment on the other food they have like sushi. The food is a little expensive too, though the portion sizes are very good.
The food was greasy and not good at all. They delivered to a hotel with the name of the hotel and the room number on the on line order. The food gets to the hotel and low and behold no cutlery? Seriously, I phone to ask them about this and why would you deliver to a hotel without cutlery? Expect you to eat it with your fingers? I wouldn't order an egg roll from this place ever again. Save your money and order from anywhere else
I know it's not a big secret that they're one of my favorite restaurant, but it’s always refreshing to set foot into the establishment and see what goes into making their food taste so good. My personal favorite is their orange chicken - it has this sweet and tangy flavor that just makes you want more.
Ordered in direct from them and they said it would be over an hour for delivery - I'm just outside of their delivery area. Came hot and and 20 minutes earlier. I love their General Tsao chicken without spice, and they'll customize just about any dish - I'm not fond of mushrooms and they were left out of all my dishes. I find their food super tasty and portions are quite large! Enough food for 4-6 people under $70. Good value, good food.
The sit down restaurant is not bad but the take out is so bad they charged us for 5 spicy mayo and only gave us 3 also they give very small containers and don't even fill it half way. When I call and tell them that they didn't put me spicy mayo and charged me for it they put the phone down and listen at all until I hang up
We have been regulars to this place for so many years. It’s a bit pricey compare to their competitors. However it’s worth it for the quality of the food. They serve chicken white meat in their dishes. Try their chili chicken and egg fried rice. Loved the flavors and the atmosphere.
NO CUSTOMER TRAINING. The staff who work in the take out area, need training in customer service or find another job where they do not have to deal with customers. After I had some words with the staff, they had me waiting long for my order, and of course I cancel the order, they do not inform the customers on the seating priority in the take out area. There are many other very good places to eat. Need to take back the 1 star but just had to select the star or you cannot post the review.
Kids were hungry after Legoland and this popped up in our path. Glad we stopped by! Mongolian beef was great and so were all the other dishes. Wish they didn't lock up all the patio tables and claim they were all reserved though.
I have moderate to severe celiac disease and I am thoroughly impressed with the food I ordered from Szechuan Szechuan. I ate the food last night and have not experienced any symptoms, so it is safe to say that the food I ordered was, in fact, gluten free. Unfortunately, there is no gluten free menu; however, I called them last night (on a Friday night) and a staff member took the time to go through the menu with me and indicate which items were safe to order. I ordered the food for take out and all the gluten free food was labelled and packaged separately. Once again, I am very impressed at the quality of food, service and knowledgable/ helpful staff from this restaurant. I definitely feel safe ordering from here again!
Great tasting food nice patio and friendly staff. Make for a magnificent environment and experience. Dine in or take out it's worth it to treat yourself.
On Sat July 24 I ordered 2 crispy ginger beef as usually But, this time portions was less quantity, and not crispy at all, too much bartered for 34 dollars that's not worth it I will never come back to this restaurant again so surprised
We love going out. Last night we went to this magnificent place which friends told us about. We passed a delightful evening there with high-qulity cooking and a nice stuff and an impressive cook. We added this restaurant in our list and we will definitely visit again soon. We highly recommend.
They avertise "spicy" food like szechuan chicken but there is no heat at all. Not the least bit spicy. They gave me a tiny packet of hot sauce is that the "spicy"? You would be hard pressed to find a single Scoville unit in this whole dish.
Would be a 5 any day, but they charge for substituting veggies for Chicken, making vegetarians pay an extra $2 for the pleasure of not having chicken or beef in our meal. That said, food is a solid 10, with Szechuan or Spicy Peanut being my favs.
Got a late lunch from here today - Singapore Noodles and Beef Szechuan! It was amazing and lots left for another meal! Support local. Looking forward to ordering from here again soon!
The taste is just bad, esp.comparing to other places I’ve been to for this brand. This is neither Chinese nor bastardized western Chinese. I really don’t recommend.
It’s understandable that they don’t have hot plates given COVID, but the food was still made super slowly. It’s honestly pretty disappointing given a 15 min wait. We ended up throwing the meal out and got an entire set at the food court.
Use to be amazing fine dine and one of my fav place however now its food taste has gone down drastically. The service is bad as well. I don't recommend this place any more
I continue to be disappointed with the level of customer service when ordering take out/delivery from this place. But I think today was the final time. I’ve moved onto to multiple other Asian cuisine restaurants in the area that i prefer to support. We placed an order through DoorDash, waited 40 min, and were then notified that the restaurant was not taking any orders from DoorDash. We call the restaurant with the intent of ordering for pick up and ask why they were not excepting DD orders and got this response from a snarky Asian lady “we are too busy so if you want to place and order tell me or i don’t have time to spend with you on the phone”. Needless to say we did not - or ever will - place and order with them again. Dinner for a family of 6 worth $200 went to to Moon Congee - great service, delivered on time, hot and delicious! So when I hear “support local small busy” this place is off my list and I hope they go out of business if they treat customers this way. Any business knows customer service is important. If this snarky rude lady worked for me - she’s be out of a job tonight!
I went their today for a bubble slush and the lady that made my drink drop a cup on the floor and instead of throwing it away she picked it and put it back with the clean up. With covid and just plain sanitary that wasn’t right I told her and she got rude so I went to a man at the next counter and told him he went over and and throw the cup in garage and said he was going to talk to her I stood there and watch him walk over to her and pass her. I don’t know what else is going on behind those counters in that place I know I won’t ever go their again
Come here all the time with the whole family. HIGHLY recommend the Singapore Rice Noodle, it is the best I've ever had. Everything I have here is always clean, fresh, and with excellent service. Ask for server Simon, he's fantastic!
I like to go with friends to this place with my warmest recommendations. I visit this place often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The dishes they serve are fantastic and the stuff is generous and cooperative.always when we eat in this place we pass a gorgeous evening. I warmly recommend this restaurant.
