Delightful little place on Yonge Street near Lawrence Ave W. I would not recommend for those with mobility concerns as there are steep stairs to climb to get to the cozy tearoom. The soft jazz music playing in the background helped to create a relaxing atmosphere.
Mom had the Spa Salad consisting of arugula, feta, and berries. The classic tea tray had an assortment of tasty sandwiches. If you don't have a sweet tooth, the preserve jam and the macaroons are sweet.
I went only for the Cream Tea as I was missing a bit of Britain. The scones were fresh, light and really delicious. The jam tasted homemade, also very good. My only ask would be to have real Devon cream to make the experience 100%. They do make their own crème fraiche which went very well with the afternoon tea. I had Earl Grey tea which was also wonderful. It also came with a little macaron, exquisite! Very reasonably priced.
We have tried the t-buds for the first time and it was a marvelous experience. The food was well made and exquisite. My favourite of the day was the mushroom pastry. We had the puerh cocoa caramel tea which was mind blowing. We are definitely coming back.
Possibly the most delicious scones in the city! A great hidden gem for afternoon tea, with unique and delicious tea options, creative finger foods, and very cozy chairs! The service was friendly and willing to accommodate my friend who couldn't eat bread/wheat (dietary restrictions). Also incredibly good value for money - affordable!
I ordered a short notice catering for a work function. I wanted something unique and it was; however, in my opinion it was overpriced finger sandwiches. If you want to try this place I think you definitely need to go in person and experience the tea service or else it’s quite expensive for funeral sandwiches but the mushroom hot pastries were incredible.
Very cute little place for a small party for high tea. The atmosphere was nice/relaxing. The tea menu is very extensive and the high tea menu also has lots of variety and best of all, it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg! My friends and I enjoyed the taste of the food. + it’s halal! The service was good but the only reason I left one star off is because of the wait time for the food. We came for 3: 30 appointment and I think we finally got our food around 5. I think the reason is because there didn’t seem to be a lot of staff and there was one other party than us at the restaurant (we were only a group of 9 girls)
My husband and I went here for the classic afternoon tea option. I contacted them ahead of time to ask if they accommodate a vegan diet and they said they can with 48 hours of notice. The food they made for us was incredible! We had 4 different kinds of finger sandwiches, scones and two different kinds of desert, it was very clear so much thought and effort had gone into preparing the vegan option and making it just as good and enjoyable. This will be my new regular tea spot. The staff was also wonderful. Highly recommend.
FOOD POISONING ALERT! 6 of our group of 7 adults got food poisoning after eating at T-Buds this past Sunday. 4 people, including our PREGNANT friend had extreme symtoms of aggressive vomiting and diarhhea. And 2 people had bad diarhhea. This is very dangerous and unacceptable! Do NOT eat here! We all couldn't work for 3 days now, but most importantly the risk to my friend and her baby's life is inexcusable! I deeply regret going to this place and will never go here again.
