Bought a Broil King instant read thermometer from here. Didn’t work right out of the package. When I returned it for a refund I was told since three weeks had elapsed, I couldn’t get a refund. They didn’t bother to mention this short window for returns when I purchased the product. I realize this is a petty little item for a company selling major appliances and bbq’s, however, the chance of me returning there for a larger purchase are zero. They did provide me with Broil Kings phone number, which proved to be a waste of time.

Needed a new bbq as I was informed that my natural gas bbq could not be converted to propane. Decided to order online through TA appliances. Process went smooth until I requested my old bbq be removed upon delivery of new. Option was not available. Every confirmation email I received about delivery date etc had “ if your having your old appliance removed ensure it’s empty and unhooked. I emailed sales at Barrie location to ask if this option was available.no reply. Delivery guys showed up Friday, old bbq was sitting in driveway. They refused to take it. Said dispatch was going to call me immediately. As I waited for the call they drove away … still waiting for a reply from sales and still waiting for a call from dispatch…. They dropped the ball on this one.
Wished I could give a better rating but there’s something to be said for after sales service, or lack of.

Purchased a washer and dryer from Kathy for our new home. Positive experience with the sale however, everything following has been a nightmare. The delivery drivers showed up at 7: 30 pm on a Saturday night, hours later than scheduled. We paid for installation but they did not install the dryer stating the venting was cracked. As soon as they left we found new venting stored inside the dryer. They told my husband that the doors on either machine could not be reversed but after consulting the manual my husband successfully reversed them.
The washer does not work. It makes a loud knocking noise. Customer service was contacted and Ally stated the best she could do was have a repair man out 2.5 weeks later. Now I have a washer and dryer worth a few thousand dollars sitting in my house and I’m taking my laundry to a laundry mat. I will also have to take time off work to be present when the delivery man arrives. Disappointed in the customer service received for defective items sold by this retailer.

UPDATE: manager could care less. Told us to contact the manufacturer. Contacted manufacturer and they stated it had to be returned to the store. I would not recommend TA to anyone.

We had some issues getting our order on time. Nothing that the store could do to prevent. After a somewhat frustrating phone call with customer service the store manager Jason reached out and was very helpful!

I've never set foot in the store, I've only dealt with their Sales Professional, Carol Taylor, over phone and email. She is outstanding! Incredibly responsive, very knowledgeable and seems to work 7 days a week. When my washing machine broke, she had a quote in my inbox within 30 minutes - and it was afterhours. She made recommendations and made the process super easy.

I had an issue with their delivery company but I was very pleased with how the store handled it. I also love that if you don't use the warranty, the credit can be applied to future purchases.

Staff were fabulous and walked me through my purchase. Choosing appliances for my home is a challenge as my adult daughter is blind. They have to be accessible and she needs to be able to use them. Dillon and Jason assessed my needs and came up with an excellent suggestion. Delivery guys were amazing. This is not the first appliance I have bought from TA and it certainly won't be the last!

Not very courteous staff & manager, I have appliances ordered since 2 years, still dont have oven & microwave.
Most of the sales people are rude once sale is finished, zero customer service.

This may not reflect their overall service, but this was my experience: bought appliances for the entire house, price was right as I had a builder credit if using TA, sales team was great. However, the delivery experience was not acceptable. In summary, I had to return damaged products in a total of 5 occasions (yes, five), in a total of 1 painful month to get all appliances in a decent shape.

Long story, I returned the dryer 3 times due damages, washer 1 time, 1 time the delivery was canceled in the last minute. Oven and range hood had minor issues and I just gave up and accepted them. The delivery team could be more careful with the products, when I tried to point some scratches they were rude (in the first delivery). My stairs were damaged and they said someone would contact me, but they didn't.

I will not purchase again with TA Appliance in the future.

Probably one of the best buying experiences I have had in a long time from start to finish. If the salesman didn't know the answer to a question, he endeavored to find out instead of a line of bs. Service was excellent and pick up was quick and easy. Would highly recommend.

We went to TA in Barrie looking for a bbq. We came in with a list of of what we wanted in a bbq. Jesse, the sales rep, approached us and enquired as to what we were looking for. He asked us for details and presented the options available to us. He also made suggestions as what we might like. Jesse also had a good working knowledge of each bbq and the advantages of each different model. That was very useful. He then put together quotes for us and let us decide. He never used high pressure tactics or rushed us into our decision. He had good knowledge and was very helpful. We will go back because of this service.

If you go to TA Barrie, don’t go to anyone but Jessica! She is an absolutely amazing sales rep. She is very knowledgeable on all the products and will go the extra mile for her customers from start to finish, to ensure a successful purchase, delivery and install. Cathy was fantastic about getting the best deal for us, however we have now been waiting for 5 moths for the refrigerator that we have paid for. We have phoned for updates but getting a return call is difficult and frustrating. I realize items are back ordered but this is ridiculous. So much for their mission statement of outstanding customer service.

It was a good experience, and they did supply the missing pieces when we needed them. But being our 2nd BBQ we didn't even receive anything for being a repeat customer. Now the are having a special if you buy a washer and dryer you get an airfyer? Don't understand that promotion.

Today my daughter tried to return an item that was bought for me and at the same time buy something else that was more expensive. The person who tried to help my daughter today was very nice but could not help her return our product. The reason given was that the manager has to do returns and the manager was working from home today. How does a retail store manage to not do returns without a manager who is working from home? Poor service!

Dealt with Jackson Groves at TA appliances. Appreciated how we both quickly zoned in on what I wanted and needed in A BBQ. Got a beautiful, not over the top but solid Broil King. Next time I won’t waste time hitting the box stores because TA offers a range of quality at reasonable or
better prices, and all my future parts needs are there. No hunting down discontinued models for parts at the other stores. Highly recommend hitting Jackson up for your bbq or appliance needs.

I have been dealing with TA Appliances for years! We recently renovated out kitchen and purchased all of the appliance from Jackson Groves who was amazing to deal with! Highly recommend TA Appliances and definitely ask for Jackson Groves to look after you! You will not be disappointed.

Not a great experience. Range was backordered which is not their fault but the communication during that 9 months was horrible. I was told multiple different dates and when those dates came and went I had to follow up myself. My sales rep never bothered to call me to check in and give me an update. Once the range was finally delivered the door was loose and after calling my rep every day for a week, emailing and calling the store o finally had to call the sales desk to set up a service call. Overall just bed customer service. I’ve since sent a couple friends elsewhere and they’ve had great experiences at those alternative places.

Do not purchase from this company. And not a single call from “management” despite saying 3 weeks ago they would review. (see comments from company)

We waited 8 full months for our KitchenAid refrigerator. Here is why you should not buy or recommend this company: we purchased and paid in full in Nov 2020, we bought based on a kitchen renovation that was starting in our home a month later and the fridge arrived in Dec and was stored in TA warehouse.we arranged with TA Appliance for a delivery for March 2021 to coincide with the completion of the kitchen Reno.

As Feb.approached we followed up and were advised that another client with the same product purchase had there unit damaged and our product was taken without any option or call to us from TA appliance to take our fridge earlier. No mention was made to take in Feb.and store in our garage. As a result and without a call to us we were informed that our fridge was now back ordered with mfg.with no known date!

Several calls to VP of sales in Kitchener HQ and our local TA Appliance and we were not provided any eta with a best guess of maybe June 2021. The fridge arrived today July 23rd after an 8 month wait. TA tried to blame Covid backlog however they took our unit and sold it to another customer without advising us and causing the 8 month wait. Here is the best part of all. When we were called this week that the fridge had arrived, not 1 single penny of discount on a high end counter depth fridge was offered and when we pushed further for a discount, we were advised not possible. We will never ever make any purchase with this company based on the 8 month delay that they caused as mentioned and would never recommend to anyone.

Very friendly service we dealt with Jesse and he was very knowledgeable and friendly. He met all of our needs. When I received the dishwasher it appeared ok but the guys that delivered it kept me at the door signing papers so I really didn't get a chance to look at it until they left. Upon inspecting it I noticed there were 2 dents on either side of my whirlpool dishwasher that actually went right inside. We phoned Jesse and he helped make it right with a $100 compensation. Too bad it was damaged but seems to work fine only ran it once so far. I think it was damaged at the warehouse it shipped from. Thanks Jesse! Karen and Rolf

Just placed my second over the phone purchase from TA. First was a steam washer and dryer in grey that are very sexy and work perfectly. This second purchase was a Bosch dishwasher to replace my 3 year current one. When you can purchase over the phone and be very pleased with the results, what more is there to say.

We just had a horrible experience with TA Appliances, in particular salesperson Johnathan Winterock. We ordered a new washing machine from TA, which arrived at our house broken. Johnathan was happy to take our money, but refused to provide us any meaningful assistance in resolving this. Also, he did not return my multiple phone messages. Sounds like this is similar to experiences others have had here. Be aware, TA does not have a return policy for appliances that arrive at your home broken. Extremely disappointed.

Have bought many appliances from them in the past. Went to buy a dishwasher, purchased it online and received a call a week later that they will not honor the pricing, said there was an error on their website.

Edit: Manager Jason reached out regarding this. Samsung had entered the information wrong online and will be honoring the discounted pricing.

Very very disappointed with service. I ordered my all the appliances for new house in July 2020. It’s almost 6 months, still waiting for my cooktop, my neighbour ordered from Canadian Appliances and he got all the appliances. So guys please don’t order from there otherwise you have to wait for longer. I understand because of current circumstances it won’t be on time, 2 - 3 months ok but it’s 6 months and still not sure when I am going to get it. Didn’t expect poor service after spending over $ 16000.

In September my wife& I went to the store to buy n electric cooktop. I took the measurements
and shared them with the sales lady. I trusted her expertise to set us up with a cooktop that
would fit. When the appliance came in, we picked it up but it was too big for the counter space.
We were forced to pay an off the shelf fee of almost $200 dollars. I will not be dealing with
TA Appliances again. I can’t trust their advice & One could conclude that they only want a
sale. Len

Best customer service and great prices anywhere! I will be a regular customer for all appliances from now on! I had to edit this post because when the washer and dryer were delivered a part was needed for the washer and the AWESOME customer service, Jason jumped in his car and delivered it within 15 minutes so the delivery guys could make sure it was set up properly! Their delivery guys are so nice, knowledgeable and helpful!
