TA Appliances ** Gerald *** on Dundas E location: Recently purchased a pricey washer dryer set from TA Appliances. These units were not in stock in GTA (I called multiple competitors), but somehow Gerald actually took extra time to check it out at their warehouse, and found the one I needed to make the set. It took him maybe 5 minutes, but the point is that he actually thought of it, did it and cared enough to make the sale and help me. He also tried to get me to a competitive price, again, helpful. Haven't used the machines yet, soon, but thank you Gerald from TA!

We purchased a washer and dryer and had some product issues that were well resolved by competent and pleasant staff. Online purchase was seamless, and sales in store seem knowledgeable and efficient. Recommend TA.

Do not buy the extended warranty. They promise you a store credit if not used, but if you do not use it in a very small window, it expires. They would not honour the deal, and we paid over $300.00 for the extended warranty. That means they kept the money, because we didn't shop in the brief window allowed. I will never shop from them again, as I think that practice is deceitful and unethical. My appliances work just fine, but I will shop elsewhere in the future. A place that will notify you when your warranty expires and wants your future business.

I purchased a fantastic appliance package from Gunjan. I appreciate you saving us some money.

Our first visit to the store was in response to a mailed advert. Were greeted by a few staff members but when we needed help, Kirk was around. We found that Kirk was able to answer our questions and we bought a fridge that day. It was delivered on time and by friendly delivery persons who, despite being met with a very narrow hallway, were able to deliver and install in a timely fashion.
Our second visit to the store, we told Kirk we were not ready to buy but wanted to be educated regarding a new suite of appliances - he took the time to answer all of our questions and gave us prices. A couple of weeks passed and we just purchased our fridge, stove, range and dishwasher. They were delivered last night, and although we have yet to install them (kitchen is being put together) we were very pleased with the process =)

UPDATE - Sept 2022 - have gone on to recommend TA to clients and friends and have personally purchased 3 more suites of appliances and a few one-off appliances as well all with good results.

Terrible customer service.
Walked in to pickup an item they were going to leave at the customer service desk. Told them I had to pay for it.

Provided the name, phone number, person we dealt with etc.they kept demanding a invoice. Called the person that ordered the part, they had no invoice. Staff just kept repeating “we need an invoice “

Finally told them the part, it was sitting right behind the staff. They laughed, said “oh it hasn’t been paid for yet “. Yea, 10 minutes of me telling you that.

Best BBQ and Appliance place. PERIOD! Expert, patient, and knowledgeable staff! Second to none!

I'd recommend dealing with Carlo at TA Appliance and BBQ at 1655 Dundas ST. Mississauga if you are not familiar with BBQ accessories. I wanted to pick up some accessories after my husband purchased the Broil King 520. Carlo was very helpful and knowledgeable. I was able to pick up everything i needed at the store

Carlos provided me with great customer experience at TA Appliance and Barbecues. I would readily recommend Carlos and TA to everyone i know who is looking to purchase a BBQ. Carlos was very personable and made me feel valued as a TA customers.

Staff at this location were very unwelcoming and unprofessional, even I had to say Hi. The look on their faces were like: whatever, what do you want. I don’t know if that has anything to do with me as racialized person or not. I visited in mid March 2022.

However, my purchase was very straightforward and easy, I khew what I want the entire transaction took less than 5 minutes.

They had an indian employee, they were very rude with him too.

The price on that item was good but the experience was not nice at all. I hope I don't have to deal with them again.

I was very fortunate to have met Rishi when we visited TA Appliance Store to first look into purchasing our home appliances Rishi is knowledgeable, very helpful and, above all.very pleasant to work with.

I truly wish you could give a zero on a review. Overall I think if you spend good money they will treat you well, but you better hope nothing goes wrong! I purchased a fridge in December and we are still waiting to resolve this! We needed to select something different due to our house being very old and the walls being bowed. After countless emails, phone calls and voicemails it was nearly impossible to get a response. We had to live out of a bar fridge from a family member for weeks and weeks because we couldn't get answer. They even sent a different fridge from what they originally promised and sent us. Thankfully we liked what they sent because we couldn't wait another month or so for a response. Now after more countless phone calls and voicemail we cannot get our money back for the difference in price although we expressed we wouod want to spend it there. I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone! I have never experienced such bad customer experience before.

Please let me share with you my ongoing experience of purchasing a Frigidaire refrigerator from TA Appliances in Mississauga. When placing my order, I ordered a refrigerator door that opens to the left. When I received the refrigerator in January 2021, the fridge door did not swing left and the delivery men were not happy about it. But, they said they would do the adjustment – they did and left, the fridge still wrapped in blue saran that to this date is impossible to remove in some spots.
Since the delivery, it has been a continuous series of service calls. One call, after another. The list of problems and inefficiencies is outstanding. From the onset I called the sales representative at TA for his assistance. His response was to tell me that once sold, the problem of repair was entirely upon the manufacturer. So I reached out to them. It took a few months to get the service person in and although the fridge door closed properly when they left it didn’t take long for the problem to reappear. Along with that, the frost-free freezer now had ice forming in it. In desperation, I called the TA store again and spoke with another sales representative. He told me to contact their own customer service department. I did so and a second repairman was sent out to fix the problems. The freezer was fixed but the fridge door continued to be problematic and now the rubber sealing inside the refrigerator door had started coming off. With this new problem and the number of service calls I asked for a replacement refrigerator. After numerous phone messages and emails with TA Customer Service I was told that the problem was once again Fridgidaire’s to fix.
Well, here I am after yet after another service call today and nothing has been fixed. Two service men arrived with one service bag and without any parts to fix the refrigerator. The part to allow the door to will be ordered they said but…. If I don’t hear from them within a week it is my responsibility to follow-up. They totally ignored the rubber seal issue.

It is now over one year and I still do not have a working refrigerator.
Truly a sub-standard product with sub-standard customer service both from TA and Frigidaire.

Purchased appliances for my new condo and installed too. It was rough closing it, however Derek Williams at TA is a champion, working closely with the builder and had them installed on time. Very happy with TA appliances. TA is the go to place for all appliance needs.

Got a Bosch Dishwasher and was looking for accessories. Joe P really helped me out with my options and finding the right part as well as getting it quickly during these crazy times. Total focus on helping a customer!

Ordered an expansive food processor on Nov 29th from their website. Showed as successful order. Two days later, got a call from a random number (Not showing their store name in Caller ID) that payment didn't go through and I can pay over the phone which I did and thankfully it was the store representative but it totally could be a scam call.

But wait it doesn't end here. In fact, I still have not received the product yet and I live in Toronto. I called/emailed a few times. Once they told me the ETA is mid Dec. Another time said, it will be shipped out from the manufacturer warehouse on Dec 20th and now I am hearing the actual ETA is early January! I understand if it's holiday season and shipping takes time but when you charge for shipping a relatively expansive product and do not provide a solid ETA, that's just poor customer service. If your ETA is more than a week or two you should let your customer know before they make any decision to buy from you.

Ordered parts was told they would be in the store in 2 days. It's been a week and a half. Terrible customer service. I was given the covid excuse. My parts were sitting in London. Now they've shipped it to my house and I cannot be giving a date or tracking number. Nobody calls me back. Very frustrating. Very unprofessional. I will NEVER give this company anymore business.

My first review where i am giving 1 star. You might find a great deal at this place but I will encourage you to fully read their terms and conditions your self. Do not trust anyone on words. To make a sale they might not disclose complete information transparently and once the sales is closed they are complete different people. Instead of helping out clients and listening to clients perspective, the manager of this shop start teaching you business management lessons and how business is run. So once again if you are sure about what to buy, purchase it and forget it. Anything if goes wrong, its your loss. They will not listen or support you. Do not trust any thing they say. Make sure you read fine prints carefully.

Good selection of appliances, but the salesperson who dealt with us was very pushy and scoffed at the restrictions we had to work with regarding the size of our kitchen and budget. But perhaps it was just that sales person. Also the general target clientele seems to be more on the upper end - so there wasn't really a whole lot of budget options here. If you're looking for high end appliances though, you may find something worth checking out here

I recently moved and needed a microwave oven ASAP. All the furniture/appliance stores had very little inventory in stock and told me I had to wait for delivery. Even though TA Appliances did not have the item I wanted in-store, they were kind enough to sell me the display model (which none of the other retailers were prepared to do. I will be replacing my stove in the near future and plan to go to TA to do so.

Friendly guys but extremely inconvenienced by their delayed delivery dates. We had an option of 2 day delivery from The Brick, or 7 day delivery from these guys. We opted for a longer wait time with them to get the machine that we preferred. The delivery has been delayed again, for a total of 8 days, and it is extremely inconvenient to us as customers who need appliances urgently. It’s very disappointing because the company and staff are super friendly but this slow service is not what I expected and for that reason I unfortunately have to give 2 stars: (

Absolutely horrible service! Ordered a bbq over a month ago, and still have not received it, nor a call back. We’ve had to call twice to follow up, and both times the owner was full of excuses. Do not do business with this place!

I placed an order for a washing machine on July 18. The eta was the week of July 27. On August 4th, I received an email that "eta of washer is towards end of August" with no explanation or apology for the long delay and inconvenience this has caused. Since TA has sent this email for feedback I will have to say I am not a happy customer and very disappointed with the service. I cannot comment on the appliance itself as it has not arrived!

The sales people and customer service as TA are taking care of the customer and try to help me at all the time. Find Rishinder Bhatti is guy is the best sales person I’ve ever see.

Gerard gave us an absolutely amazing experience. We came to him with a pre-construction plan and explained our issues and concerns. He very comfortably and PRACTICALLY walked us through our options and considered our thoughts. Can't say enough good things about this experience. Finally realized I have an update that needs to be made.
So the delivery and product was to my satisfaction. The stove I ordered was heavier than regular stoves you found but the I remembered that the delivery guys did a great job to move it in a relatively small place. Didn't just toss and bang around. I would definitely go back for appliance when they have a good sale!

We purchased media center fireplace. Reasonable price, great service, delivery and installation. Would recommend to everyone.

The level of customer service here is incredible. Called for a simple $299 freezer which unfortunately was out of stock. Didn't leave my number or request call back just said thank you. Later in the day I get a call to inform me that they received some of the freezer I requested. Thank you to the Staff for this experience. I will com back for future appliance purchases.

The WORST COMPANY EVER!

I bought a washer & dryer two months ago and the washer STOPED WORKING!

I spoke with them they referred me to the insurance company, after an assignment and 3 weeks! They decided to replace it. It took another week for the people from TA applinces to schedule me a delivery as they come they refused to disconnect the broken washer. I told them I don't have the tools for that so THEY TOOK IT BACK!

I keep calling and asking for some one to do thier job, and they keep referring from one manger to another!

So I bought applinces that worth 2500 to end up using a coin landury!

Went to the store to replace my grills that had rusted over time. They quickly found my purchase records from a number of years ago, had the grills in stock. The staff gave me suggestions on prepping the grill to help maintain it in the future. And to boot…. They gave me a discount on the purchase price. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. Great experience.

Elio, at the Dundas St. West location was fabulous. I required a number of items and he confidently and quickly researched gas ranges, chimney hoods, microwaves, including trim kit and followed up with a purchase of a barbecue as well. He gave me details, pricing to fit my budget and explained features clearing and succinctly so I could make an educated choice. I have since referred 2 more clients to Elio and 1 has bought and one is planning to buy at the right time.

As with other comments - nice selection of appliances, seemingly knowledgeable sales reps but once it leaves the showroom, next to no follow up or service. Had to hound one of the sales reps for months before getting a part and that was only after having to call the manager of the store.

Update on 19 April 2019. I wrote to customer relation manager as mentioned in the reply to this review. Did they took any action even after lapse of couple of months. Zero Response. This is shameless organisation with no ethics or no accountability. This is the condition of service for an essential item like Cooktop.

I just had a great experience with TA appliance. I needed to change my cooktop and Elio Ficuciello did all he could to help me. He gave his best effort to find the same brand and model to replace the one I had.

Extensive display high & medium end manufacturers in every price range. Knowledgeable sales assistant. Worth a visit.

By far the worst decision to purchase all my appliances from ta appliances. 5 months without a working refrigerator, new born baby in the house, multiple days off work waiting for ta to deliver me a replacement fridge.
After having 3 different refrigerators showing up out of the box and dented I finally received a brand new unit but wait it still doesn't have doors so once again I'm still without a refrigerator.
And noone in the company has any urgency to fix the problem.
Scheduling is a big problem for ta they can't seem to schedule installers and delivery companies.
All in all a very unhappy customer definitely would never recommend someone to purchase anything from ta.

I couldn't be happier with our decision to purchase all of our appliances for our renovation from TA Appliances in Mississauga. Joe was an incredible sales associate who was very knowledgeable, and went above and beyond for us many times. Our new range, fridge, dishwasher, vent hood, washer and dryer were delivered on time and as promised. Joe was able to get us the best prices in the market for our selections and did everything with a smile. If he needed to call you with information, he did so by the day promised.
