Purchased an induction cooktop about a year ago. Had it serviced multiple times due burners not fully working a full power. Last service call I was told if they came out again I would be charged. I kept using the unit as is, but most recently I complained to TA advising I was sold a 5 burner unit but only two or three burners work at full power. After speaking with their manager who yelled at me I was told there is nothing they can do. I went to the store to see how they are selling this unit and their sales reps are still advising their consumers that all 5 burners work at the sametime at full capacity. This is not true. I learned recently there is a diagram that shows which burners work together at full power, and only three work together at full power. Which I must add they don't, it's also not true. I'm simply trying to get a replacement unit that has 5 burners that work like they should, but they refuse to help me. I've spoken to other people who have bought from TA in Kitchener and they don't have anything positive to say about their service.

Have recently purchased a range hood for over our stove. I purchased it online and decided to pick it up since we live close and save the delivery fee. Upon pickup i was informed i needed to sign a waiver that the product was in good condition before receiving it. They would "allow" me to un-package the product in the parking lot, outside in the cold, for review if i wished (good luck getting it back in the box). They take zero responsibility for the product and it's condition and if there is anything wrong, your stuck dealing with the manufacturer.

I would not recommend this location if you want to experience good customer service. Especially parts department- people are not helpful at all, it felt like they were bothered or rather annoyed by my questions. I was the only customer there for 3 of them yet the tone they were talking was like I'm so not welcome there with my stupid questions. Definitely not coming back, rather drive to the other city.

Ignore the bad reviews of TA Appliances (Kitchener) at your peril. However, also be very skeptical of the “Response from owner” comments making generic statements that the comments would be referred to management and the like. One would think that if management really cared, the reviews would be trending better, not worse. My own experience dealing with store management was less than pleasant and he was not especially apologetic or proactive in trying to solve our problem or improve our experience.

We bought a whole new set of new Bosch kitchen appliances (range, hood, fridge, dishwasher). We told the salesman in June 2023 what specific models we wanted, he sent us a package price for those models, we agreed, and we paid a deposit with a fixed September 5 delivery date. We paid the balance owing, September 5 arrived, and the delivery drivers delivered our appliances. However, after they left, I realized that the fridge and dishwasher they delivered were the wrong models completely (no front display on the dishwasher and handles on the fridge that was supposed to be handle-less) and the side panel of the range was damaged (dented). In other words, 75% of our order was either wrong or damaged.

Aside from the obscene amount of time I had to spend calling and emailing with the salesperson and store manager (4 days and probably 3-4 calls and 20+ emails), the most galling aspect of this whole experience was the fact that TA Appliances seemed largely un-phased and unconcerned that 3/4 of my purchase had been botched. They ultimately replaced the fridge (took a full week), refunded the dishwasher, and put in a service call to replace the side panel on the range (unwilling to exchange the damaged one for a new undamaged one). The delivery truck the second time around (swapping fridges) left a giant hydraulic fluid or oil stain on our driveway and we have yet to hear from the service company re the range repair (2 weeks and counting).

If you have a few thousand dollars to spend on appliances, keep all of this (and other negative reviews) in mind. There are plenty of other retailers who would never have made this mistake in the first place and, if they did, would be shocked and embarrassed that they had made such a huge error and would work exceedingly hard to try to fix it. TA Appliances couldn’t have seemed more nonchalant about it to me! Spend wisely, folks.

Lastly – for what it’s worth – I got a replacement equivalent dishwasher to the one we were supposed to get from a different retailer 1) in stock and 2) for less money than the one at TA Appliances.

I would not recommend this organization for major appliances. We recently purchased a top of the line GE Cafe Double Oven Induction range which cost over $5000. We haven't been able to use it once since it was brought home. The controls are locked out and "Oven miswired" is on the display. We have had our electrical inspected by a professional and everything was good (to be expected as the old one worked fine). The GE Tech has been here twice, yet it is still a paperweight in our dining room. TA has just passed the buck and said we have to go through GE for warranty. Buyer beware that you should find a company that has a limited exchange period or lemon policy and their own service department.

My wife and I built a new house. TA was good in honouring better prices on appliances we found else where, but when it came to installation it is a one star review. The installers were nice but generally did an awful job. No appliance was installed 100%. I have had to redo all of the installations due to some excuse as to why they couldn’t get it perfect. Cabinets were damaged. Not worth the money to have these guys come into your home.

Awful logistics, awful customer experience. I was given a time for delivery of 9: 30am. Then got a text message the night before saying for 9am. The delivery guys showed up at 8: 00am and told me they could not deliver because I was not on time at my new house. Showed them the text message, told me I was wrong. I asked them to wait because I had a text message showing delivery for 9am. They told me they were leaving. They were adamant I was wrong and they were right. Would not want to shop with them again. During delivery the install guys did half of the job. Did not install the fridge handles and did not install the washer/dryer. Said it wasn't their job, although I paid for installation separately. Just overall awful experience.

I purchased a $50 teflon griddle from TA in Kitchener a few days ago. The teflon coating is very thin and I noticed it starting to fail after two uses. Plus the griddle now looks 10 years old. I called TA asking if I could return it to the store for a refund. They indicated it could not be returned because I had used it. If I’m not satisfied with a product I should get my money back especially within a week used or not. Update: I called again and talked to a Manager and I was reimbursed for the defective product.

Went here for the first time and had this lovely worker Alek help me find the perfect freezer which met all of my needs. Definitely will return in the future! Alek was very knowledgeable and all the other employees seem to be too!

Called into the store looking for an in-stock freezer, and cheap too, because it was for my garage. I know that in-stock is a high request nowadays with all of the COVID shenanigans backing everything up. My sales guy Alek picked up the phone and gave me a bunch of great options that none of your competitors had. I was shocked at the selection of fridges in the size I needed. Alek gave me a great deal too. Delivery was swift and smooth. I wanted to give Alek a shout out because he went above and beyond. Even if my fridge was just a cheapo for my garage, he treated me like I was buying a top notch appliance.thank you TA and Alek.

Today I walked in, an older female, looking to buy three appliances for my new home. In half an hour wandering around, not one person approached me or offered to sell me something. Purchased our new fridge on March 12th 2022. With a promised delivery of April 9th 2022. Then May 2022, then June 2022, then we were told we were on a list and number 27 to receive our fridge, there was no list when we bought it then we were told July 2022, finally we just took delivery August 20,2022. After all this run around we were to get delivery August 18th and told between 8: 30 and 11: 30 and I took the morning off work and they did not show. Then they texted and e mailed to say they were coming that afternoon between 2: 30 and 5: 30. You have no physical way of getting a hold of their dispatch. I had appointments and could not do that so it was arranged for the 20th when they finally did call me back.

The delivery guys were great. Got it in the house and were courteous and helpful.

However as far as TA goes I am very disappointed. If you do not have stock tell people and don’t make unrealistic promises that you can’t or know you will not keep.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME

I gave 1-star, because zero was not an option. Last week I bought a BBQ for my husband's birthday. When we opened it to start assembling it, not only was it NOT the upgraded model the sale person sold to me, it also had 4 large dents in the metal body and 1 in the lid. Due to all the dents, the lid does not close properly. When I went back to TA, the customer service rep rudely told me that there is nothing she can do for either the wrong product or the damage. She told me I could go online, find the manufacture's website and call their customer service. Honestly, why does TA even have customer service if they do not provide service to their customers? If you are looking for a BBQ, look elsewhere!

Back in 2017 or 2018 my wife and I purchased our home, the builder gave us a credit or discount to purchase our home appliances from TA.

When we first walked in the store we were greeted but that was the end of that. No one tried asking if we needed help with anything or if there's something specific we were looking for. We didn't get any help until we asked someone for assistance

Now to present day. My wife and I walked in we were greeted and that was it. There was 1 point where a sales guy walked right past us to ask an older couple if they needed help. Not sure if it's because we're younger or something I don't know. But again we didn't get any help until we asked someone after 10-15mins of walking through the store.

Would've gave 1 star. But I gave 2 because 1. They honored their warranty deal that they offered us without any hassle. 2. There was a lady there that got up right away to help the new guy that was helping us which we appreciated.

Knowledgeable staff and efficient purchase and delivery process. We took the extended warranty on our new fridge because sadly, let's face it, appliances are going to fail. Warranty was reasonable with a redeemable value in TA merchandise after the 4 year period if not used.

We spent a fair bit of time in the Kitchener store and ended up frustrated not being able to find a refrigerator/stove pair that matched our needs, one of which not wanting to wait 2 to 3 months or longer for delivery. Our salesman suggested visiting the clearance centre on the off chance we could find something suitable on the floor ready for delivery.

It was there that we met Alek H, a very polite and enthusiastic young man who listened carefully to our needs and proceeded to put a suitable pair of appliances together for us at an attractive price. We were pressed for time that day and he pushed through the paperwork and payment quickly and efficiently. It was a very positive experience and we very much appreciated the kind and respectful manner that Alek displayed during the sale.

As promised, the appliances were delivered the following Thursday. The only disappointment was the fact the refrigerator was delivered with a thick black coating of dust on its top but a quick wipe with a wet cloth soon fixed that.

I certainly can recommend TA Appliances based on our experience.

We bought all of our appliances for a new home from TA Kitchener and had a very frustrating and draining experience. We understand the global supply issues of this year but the lack of communication and many issues along the way were upsetting. Twice this year I only found out that our appliances were once again delayed because I reached out to ask our sales associate, if I had not reached out I would have taken the day off work to accept the delivery and not known that it wasn't happening. Our appliances all came late and the delivery people were rude to my mother and broker the dryer pedestal (which we have not yet received the replacement for). No compensation or installation was offered for the many delays and issues. After many upset phone calls and emails you would think a company might at least offer to install a dishwasher or something. Won't recommend this store.

A place where "The Customer is Always Wrong"

Recently went into the Kitchener location and had a horrible experience. Waited over 20 minutes for the warehouse staff to locate my purchase, then when I got fed up waiting and asked for my money back, it took another 20 minutes for them to figure out how give me my credit. Then when I complained to Manager that the service was poor, he blamed the credit card company. After I told him that customer service was his issue and not the banks', he sighed like my 14 year old daugther when I used to tell her to do her home work. So unprofessional.

I had a browse through the store and the clearance section and Alek did the best job at informing me about all my appliance needs. He is so knowledgable and kind, and left no question unanswered. I highly recommend TA Appliances, and I recommend that you ask for Alek!

I have been to this store for first time before few weeks when I was looking for appliances. When I visited store at first look I thought this is small store and would not have much to offer. But after speaking with representatives (John), he offered lot of different options and items. He also ensured that I get the deal in my interest with getting confidence that I would not be able to get better deal anywhere else than their store. I am glad that I did visit there store and able to get all appliances I was looking for. I was also promised to get delivery of equipment in 3 days and they kept their promise. I highly recommend everyone to make purchase from this store. Their service is fantastic and they are not just there to sell you their products but give good option as well.

DO NOT PURCHASE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY! My 2 year old dishwasher died Oct 5 and needs a new fill valve. My first repair appointment was cancelled (the day of the appointment after booking a day off work) since they hadn't ordered the part. Now my earliest repair appointment is Dec 20. Ridiculously bad service!

We bought a new refrigerator from TA on October 13th, and it was delivered October 16th. Unfortunately, it was DOA; apparently the compressor was defective. We spoke to Customer Service about getting it fixed or replaced, but got no action. We also spoke to the manufacturer's service company, who said that it was covered under a 30 day replacement policy, but again, no action from TA customer service. After initiating a dispute with our credit card company, we finally got TA to take the fridge back on November 11th. Because we were away for most of the time, we were not able to go into the store until November 9th, where we spoke to the salesman and finally got an agreement to return the fridge. (We bought a new fridge from another company.)

Bottom line: TA's customer service is NOT customer service, and we will never buy anything from them again.

We bought a reverse osmosis system and had it delivered to our sons house to be installed there.the box was open upon arrival and a nut was missing meaning the plumber could not finish the job
we contacted the mfg.and its now 3 weeks.ta customer rep no help neither was their parts dept.no one offered to take one out of their stock box to be replaced later.very disappointed.

We have purchased our Whirlpool dryer and washer from them on Dec 2020. (Toronto store). It's almost been a year, we haven't received our dryer yet. Whenever I call them they are not even answering properly, But they just say that they are not getting products delivered due to pandemic. My estimated delivery date that I got today is Dec first week. Its been a year.: (I shouldnt have purchased from this store.

Nice interaction, gave lots of tips and info on which one to buy.
Only thing I didn't like was it was recommended that it would take only 1hr to assemble which turned into 3.5hrs (not including all the wiring was not accessible and bolted inside the bottom burner trays (inst.did not mention that) (very hard to get at after assembled)
BTW I am extremely handy but the instructions are 5/10 maybe at best.

Very frustrated at the moment. Our dishwasher broke three weeks ago in a household of 6. Called TA Appliances, ordered the only Bosch dishwasher they had in stock in order to expedite and was told they would arrange the install with a contractor. Expect mid to late week. Contractor calls in a few days and books the Friday of the week after, so two weeks from order. A week later than we had hoped, but whatever. Less than two hours before the installation is to occur we get a call from the contractor to let us know that TA does not have the dishwasher ready and it's at the wrong location, not ready for pick up. Two weeks in, still no dishwasher. They rebook for the following Friday, three weeks after our order. The big day has arrived! Oh wait, the contractor calls that morning to say their install guy has to go for dental surgery and they can't do it. This is the contractor TA Appliances arranged. We're now booked with a different contractor for Wednesday next week. Almost a month in! Stay tuned.

I had a great experience with T A Appliances and Barbecues. My sales person was excellent, very knowledgeable about the product. I purchased a Bosh dishwasher, wow is it quiet, you can't even tell if it running without looking at the LED detail it shines on the floor. We are looking to replace our existing electric stove with a gas model and will definitely be back!

Purchased a new home and we were looking to get some new appliances, we were greeted by Sam Malawi the sales Rep, he was polite and professional. He spent the time to go through some of their products with us to get a better understanding of what we were looking for, he was patient and very helpful. We would definitely return, and highly recommend Sam Malawi for excellent customer service and product knowledge skills.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Every time you try to call all you get is a voicemail and no one returns your voicemail. Their telephone system says to press zero for the operator and when you press zero for the operator you don't get the operator you get the same recording. Very difficult to reach somebody to get an update on an order. Three messages so far and no returned calls.

The phone system that is being used at the Kitchener store is the most frustrating setup anywhere. I was left on hold several times for up to 30 minutes until I dropped the call and redialed. This was after I had left a message with assurance I would get a call back in two days. I waited ten days before I tried again and was finally able to talk to sales staff. The sales person acknowledged his own frustration with the phone system when he was attempting to work from home during Covid. 19.

My wife and I recently built a new house. We decided to go to TA appliance as we had a good experience there several years ago while getting a full new set of appliances.

Our most recent visit had me question the integrity and honesty of the entire organization.

During the sales process- The salesperson (Dave) we dealt with was extremely helpful while we were pricing out the units, and was terrific at communicating everything to us. Because it was a new home build, they would order our appliances the day we ordered the units (last year in early May), and would store them until the house was far enough along that they could be installed. We were re-assured multiple times that they everything would be ready for our move in date in early November 2020. Once the sales process was done it was nearly impossible to get a hold of the individual who sold our units.

Late October came and we hadn't heard anything from the salesperson, so I followed up. He then informed me that our appliances wouldn't be ready until December or January. The explanation given was "Covid".

Between December and January we left 7 emails and three phone calls without a response.

(During this time, no suggestion or effort was made on the behalf of TA to help us out in any way, despite them knowing we were moving into a new build and not having any existing appliances to rely on.)

In late January, my wife spoke with the sales desk who re-assured us that the salesperson would get back to us that day. We did receive a phone call where he told us that our dishwasher wasn't ready yet but they were able to pull it from another order *** which really made me wonder if our appliances had went to someone else and were "pulled" to keep someone else happy. ****

By the end of February we had a dishwasher, washer and dryer, and a hood vent.

The range was the next item to arrive in early March, and had damage on the unit. When I informed the salesperson that the unit was damaged he informed us that we could wait for a new unit and wait another 6-9 months, or get a 10% credit off the list price from the vendor. We decided to take the credit as we couldn't do without a fridge for another extended period.

It took nearly 2 full months to get the credit from the vendor (with another 5 unanswered emails) before we had any success. The amount that was given to us amounted to less than 5% of the cost of the unit. Again- we were told something and then something else was delivered.

We just this week finally received the Fridge- which was a little over a year after we ordered it.

I understand covid would have slowed down production for everyone.

What we were really disappointed and frustrated with Dave was that there was no mention that our units would be delayed until I reached out, he didn't communicate any timelines to us at all once the units were delayed, and ignored all communication from us.

The damaged unit (with a lower credit than what was promised), and hearing that they would pull an item from someone else's order really had me question the integrity of the operation as I am sure if they "pulled" something from someone else's order they would do it again for someone else.

I should have read these reviews first! The Kitchener store does not seem to have a culture of integrity or honesty. I bought a compact washer with 4-year protection. I paid for delivery, paid to have the old washer removed, and paid to have the new washer installed. Latter two services were not done by delivery men from a sub-contractor. They claimed that they do not do removal or installation and that the store knows this. Why was I sold these services then? I’ve returned to the store three times to speak with a manager in order to request a refund for services not rendered and a refund for the protection plan. No manager has called as store staff have promised. Based on my experience thus far, I do not trust that TA appliances will honour terms of the plan. As I’m writing this, I’m still awaiting a response from the store.

This place is awful. Purchased a $1500 brand new Maytag oven & upon taking it out of the box it is all damaged on one side. Called back to ask if I could come back to exchange & they simply said "no that's against our policy. " They dont' offer refunds either. Never heard of such a thing in my life- the worst customer service I've ever experienced, actually in disbelief.

When I arrived at the pickup dock the BBQ was not ready as promised. The gentleman at the dock was not very helpful. I had a rental truck and was assured the BBQ would be ready as ordered, as I was heading to Bayfield. After been sent to the clearance centre and then back to the sales office the BBQ was found. 60 minutes of getting the run around with very poor customer service.

Terrible customer service on their website. My aunt ordered a stove and they screwed up the pricing. So after the transaction was complete they called her and wouldn’t do anything for her but cancel the sale because they messed up the price and the deal was too good. You’d think after it went through they would at leave it or at least offer a discount if she still wanted it. Shady af. Wouldn’t suggest ordering online.

This rating is only for their pick up process they have in place. Usually great customer service. Today received a call letting me know my order was in and that they wanted to know how fast I could pick it up as they were tight on warehouse space. Came immediately after work for 530, and had to wait 15min in line to tell them I was there, then a further 30 for paperwork before going next door for the actual product. That took another 15min.
Over 1hr to pick up a BBQ and dishwasher that was pre-ordered and paid in full over a month ago. If you call me ASKING me to pick up asap, make the process efficient please. Very frustrating.

Called multiple times a day for multiple days in a row, no answers or calls returned. Order a bbq online, get a call telling me to go pick it up and told to call right before showing up. Called while on my way at 7: 20 no answer again, show up at 7: 33 with 5 people standing at the front desk, I was told the warehouse closed at 7: 30 and I have to come back the next day. Even though the website said it’s open until 8. Just awful service.

It's just over a year since we started a lengthy process of ordering an entire new set of kitchen appliances. Although we had a great working relationship with our salesperson, we ended up waiting over 6 months to receive all of our order - and had to deal with a significant battle as well. When our wall oven came in damaged, we found that TA had failed several times to get it repaired properly - ordered the wrong part - and it wasn't until I contacted the manufacturer directly to identify the correct parts that should be used. I provided that info to TA which finally resulted in getting the external repairs done. After receiving the unit and installing, it wasn't until our first use where we found there was damage inside the unit (cosmetic). When I reached out to TA manager, he basically said that since we had had the unit for a month, how does he know that we didn't damage it ourselves. Like the internal door hinge area - not even a possibility of "regular use" damage. I filed a claim with the BBB, but again, the store manager dismissed it stating that they had resolved the issue. It was never resolved. Just misdirected blame to the homeowner. Be aware that if you have any issues with your purchases. (One star given for the original salesperson who was so incredibly helpful. Unfortunately, she's no longer there).

The worst Customer Service I have ever experienced.

I ordered an appliance in November 2020. Due to Covid it was an expected 5 week delay and I was advised when I ordered. I received an update from the Salesperson around 5 weeks that it was to be last week in December or first week of January. I thanked her for the update and waited for the next correspondence. Come the middle of January, I still had not heard any update. I emailed the Salesperson for an update the 3rd week of January on the Monday. I did not receive a response to my email by Friday, so I sent a follow up email. Her response was barely apologetic for not replying and only stated it would be March.

My husband and I agreed that the Customer Service was terrible and we would rather wait 10 weeks or more with a better company than deal with type of "service". I requested a refund and the salesperson then started to get rude.

I will never purchase from them again.

I was not really pleased. I know there are problems with delivery because of COVID but followups were not done in a timely manner. I ordered 6 appliances in mid Dec for a move to new place end of Jan. I contacted sales rep beginning of Jan to find out where my order was at. Not all appliances were going to be available for end of Jan. I asked to get a loaner Refrigerator (I could do without washer or dryer but really needed a refrigerator) and he was going to do that but heard nothing back. On what was supposed to be my delivery date - nothing was delivered. This got pushed to the next week and there were not loaner refrigerators available. I have to find a way of keeping my freezer and refrigerator stuff for at least 2 weeks while a wait for a fridge. If loaner fridge had been set up at beginning of Jan this would have been a much happier situation Also in the notice I received that some appliances were going to be delivered on Feb 2nd I found out I was supposed to pay the balance of my bill about 10 days before delivery. I had not been informed of that so had to make special trip to bank to get a transfer done and therefore TA did not get their money until day of delivery.

5 months in to waiting for parts for a 17 month old dishwasher. Have been doing dishes by hand all that time. Nothing but platitudes. Dont sell what You can not service, and stop hiding behind COVID-19.

I have dealt with TA previously for appliances related to a new construction house, and have had no issues. However; my most recent experience has incredibly changed my opinion of the place.

Salesperson was very knowledgeable when explaining which appliances were included with my package from the builder, and offered great advice on some available upgrades if I wanted. Where my experience took a turn for the worst was when it came time for the delivery of the appliances.

My closing date was on a Friday - phoned 2 weeks prior to schedule appliances to be delivered and was told that they don't deliver on closing dates. No big deal. Was told that they don't deliver on weekends either, so I asked if Monday was available, and was told that it was booked solid but that the next day (Tuesday) was available all day. I agreed to Tuesday but specified that my delivery be first thing in the morning. Guy in delivery department said that wouldn't be a problem and said he would make a note to specify the early-morning delivery.

Monday afternoon I get an automated phone-call saying my delivery will be Tuesday between 12 and 3. Phoned the store back right away to get the issue sorted out as I was told I could have delivery first thing in the morning and I wasn't going to be available at that time. Someone named Steve answered the phone and he was absolutely horrible to deal with. Told me that that nobody gets priority as to what delivery time they get, all appliances are put on the truck and it is what it is. Asked him to check the notes on my delivery form and he said there were no notes about specifying AM delivery. Then made sure to remind me that if I wasn't there between 12 and 3 that he would be sure to charge me for another delivery fee. What a nice guy! Phoned back later and someone else answered the phone and pulled up my file and found the note about AM delivery right away. Ended up getting the delivery at 12, but still had to change my plans for the day because of their error. Delivery guys handed me a copy of the form from TA, and right at the top had the note about AM delivery as well.

Long-story short: clearly they don't care about their customers and will lie right to your face if it will benefit them. Seems to be a recurring theme with the reviews of this place about the lack of customer service. Don't bother phoning the store, you will never get ahold of anyone and be put on hold or told to leave a message every time. Your only chance of getting anywhere with them is going into the store.

There are plenty of other places to get appliances from in the area. Unfortunately I had no choice as it was through a builder. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone.

Bought an above range Microwave about a year ago.
The microwave vent fan stopped working. Emailed 2 different people about a warranty replacement 2 weeks ago and have not heard anything back.
Terrible customer service. Would not recommend.

TLDR: Terrible customer service, dead on arrival stove that they will not take back, 2 month wait for service and parts. Shop at Home Depot instead.

We purchased a floor model stove from TA in September. We were assured that it was brand new and it had the same warranty as a non floor model stove. We would have purchased a fridge as well (salesperson had us leave information about size and make of fridge we were looking for but he never followed up with us). Thankfully we didn't get a fridge from them because then we would likely be stuck with 2 giant paper weights. Fast forward to when we installed the stove- it did not even turn on. We immediately called TA which took a day to even talk to someone and after about 20 calls that led us to a various voicemails. Their response was that they would file a service call. Two days later we still had not heard and followed up with them which again took many many calls before actually getting in touch with someone. Their policy is apparently that they have 72 hours to even file a service call which is frustrating in itself. They finally filed a service call but it was booked for 3 weeks from when we attempted to install. When we told TA that this length of time was unacceptable they offered no other solution. We now have been informed that the part that we likely need to make a brand new stove even function is back ordered till mid January.

The fact that TA is not even blinking an eye about how this is an inconvenience is appalling to me and I could not be more disappointed. They have knowingly sold us a defective product that was dead on arrival and refuse to do anything. They have also been horribly hard to get in touch with and completely unapologetic. I will never shop here again or reccomend this place to anyone. At this point we would like to just drop off the defective stove and go elsewhere.

As a side note we purchased a fridge from home Depot which unfortunately was damaged during transport and their customer service has been amazing. A replacement part was ordered promptly and they refunded us money to compensate for our trouble. So decent customer service does exist just not at TA!

Please do your research before being an appliance here. We sure wish we did. Here are some reasons for our low review:
- when my wife bought our stove, dishwasher and stove exhaust, she witnessed several frustrated customers and a sales person that was downright rude to customers and walked out on them. We chalked it up to COVID stuff and dealt with another sales person who treated us pretty well.
- we ordered the pieces and waited for them to be delivered. We needed a stove ASAP as ours had fried.
- delivery was horrible. They delivered the wrong stove. Did not hook it up or install it (as was requested on the invoice) and did not take the old one as we had paid for that. Took many days for them to take the old one after repeated arrangements made and waiting around for them.
- could not get a hold of them to discuss the wrong stove! We used it as ours had died. Finally they agreed it was their issue and would send a new one. They never did.
- after weeks of waiting and with no communications, we got frustrated and called to cancel the dishwasher and the range hood. Decided to keep the stove as we determined they wouldn't send us one as promised.
- left many messages with TA and the sales person to get a refund and no replies. Finally did but they needed the original credit card number.
- tried to give them the number many times (no one answers the phone there as it is automated). Finally got a hold of someone who wouldn't help, but my wife threatened to come to the store and wait all day if needed if she couldn't get it processed on the phone. It got processed.
- find a different appliance company. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere, where they care about you as a customer.

Usually a great place to buy appliances. But refusing all forms of payment except credit card makes it hard to purchase anything from them especially around Christmas while waiting for payments to clear. Glad they aren't in an essential service. Will be taking my business elsewhere.

Such a great selection of products to choose from although that is true of the selections that's where it stops. I have had to change my review of the customer service from ta appliance because of the following. We are seniors and our new to the city we went into the store to buy a new range they had a great product and a great price but then trying to get the product has been a nightmare. When we ordered the range we were told to order it now because we could expect delivery in the first part to the middle of November that didn't happen. This is where the lying started and all the delivery dates and times have changed personally I do believe they put out our range to another customer that they promised it to. Are representative from the store that sold us the range gave us a delivery time of the first couple of weeks into December of 2020 then that date passed then another representative called and said our delivery did not make it on the truck but we have to pay a balance we did that and gave them our money that was confirmed. Another representative called us from the store and said their truck broke down in our range did not make it on their truck. Here we go again finally they called us again and said they found it mysteriously and it is on the truck and it will be delivered and we will have it before Christmas. After being confirmed of a delivery and a Time we had proceeded to sell our old range we sold our old range and are left with nothing later that evening we get another call from another representative of the store saying our range did not make it on the truck and we aren't going to get it until after the holidays. The representative called us that evening saying that even if the range made it on the truck we would still not get the delivery of our new range because their truck was full. So here we are during a pandemic with no cooking facilities nowhere to cook during the Christmas holidays to have any dinners. The representative of their store that called us in the evening gave me a story then I left and my wife was on the phone with the same representative that gave her another story completely different telling us that we are still going to be without a range. If you are considering buying a major appliance or appliances for your home I would tell you to respectfully consider your options because the lying and the deceit from their store and different people continually seems to be a practice for them. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and we have nothing to cook on and we have to have a range now we have to consider our options of trying to get our money back from ta and looking elsewhere where we can buy a range

We have dealt with TA in the past with good experience. Recently it is not a good place to deal with. They don't take accountability and don't care about even talking properly, very bad to talk to and to get even an answer from them, very bad Customer service.

The absolute worst customer service - buyer definitely beware. We first visited in late August, spoke with a sales rep named Darren who promised to send a quote the next day. We waited a full week - received nothing.

I then did all my own research, we decided what appliances we wanted (the majority were Frigidaire black stainless steel with one exception due to size constraints requiring a Whirlpool black stainless steel option.) We returned and had the unfortunate luck of Spencer being our sales person who was incredibly condescending and smarmy but alas, we needed appliances and figured we wouldn't have to deal with him again. He originally told us 8-12 weeks. We asked him to let us know as soon as the range was in as we're currently without an oven.

That was September 3.

It's now December 4th and the only appliance we've been able to actually collect is an OTR microwave (which we had to pick up ourselves). We're waiting on a dishwasher, chest freezer, fridge and range. Trying to get a hold of Spencer (or anyone for that matter) is an absolute joke. It takes about 5 phone calls before he deigns to call back. Last month he told us that the fridge won't be in until JUNE 2021 (no apologies, he doesn't care). We were originally told the range would arrive mid-October. Then it was November 1 and today (again, after 5 phone calls) we were told it will be AT LEAST another month.

They blame the manufacturer - sure, I get there are supply issues, it's a pandemic. What I take issue with is that there is absolutely zero communication, no follow-through and no sense of professionalism. If you ever visit in-person, you'll see that the sales people and reception just chat about their weekend plans as you patiently wait to hand over thousands of dollars for items you may receive at some point in the future.

Like others have said, there are much better options for much less.

I went in to pick up a part for a dishwasher I had purchased about 8 years ago. Easy process to order. During the pick up process the gentleman assisting me was very helpful. Even assisted with tips on installing the part. Great job.

We ordered a brand new washer from TA after our current one broke. We have newborn twins so we shopped around to find the place that could deliver a replacement as fast as possible.

TA had a seemingly great salesperson who said they’d get it delivered right away. It was, but sadly it doesn’t work properly. That’s when TA is very happy to explain that the delivery people are outsourced and you have to deal with them. And then once they verify it’s not their problem TA is happy to tell you that they still can’t help because now you need to deal with manufacturer.

It would be nice for them to stand behind their words instead of just passing the buck constantly and doing nothing for their customers.

Amazing experience from beginning to end. ED DAY was very very helpful. We couldn’t have asked for better service. Everyone at the location seemed to be very willing to assist with our needs. (very surprised as it was boxing week and they were very busy)
I truly recommend this location if you are looking to leave a happy customer.

Nice visit. Didn't get swarmed by a salesperson. Got a chance to look around before someone came to see us. We were looking at washing machines. Warehouse availability was limited and we wanted to purchase and go. Warehouse wasn't staffed at 6pm on a Friday. Got a good deal none the less.

Had a hard time getting any service, when I brought up the online add compared to the price tag secured to the stove with the identical model numbers I was told the tag on the stove was a typo? The price of the stove still wasn't that bad but come on the bait and switch tactics to get people in your store is still pretty shady. Also buy 5 year warrenty for almost 200 bucks I get my money back if I don't use it after constant questioning it only amounts to a store credit.very deceptive practices. Also after addmitting the price tag screw up the sales man did not remove the pricetag to have it corrected but left the bait in place for the next customer

Just wanted to give a shout out to TA Appliances for the great job they did in providing our new appliances to our home. We purchased 9 appliances with them and the service from start to finish was amazing. There was a little hiccup from a vendor but Dave Montgomery was able to work it out to ensure we had all appliances delivered and installed on time. We started the process off with John Deruiter at the Toronto Home show and his expertise in recommending specific items to meet our needs was exceptional.

We would highly recommend TA Appliances Kitchener for anyone looking to buy new items for their home.

Sales staff were somewhat knowledgeable, but didn't know their own warehouse hours. Was promised the bbq I purchased would be built by the next evening. When I arrived the following evening the front desk clerk advised it had not been built, and if I wanted to pick it up that day I couldn't due to the warehouse closing in 5 minutes (the warehouse is 100 feet away beside the building). I was confused about this as it is my understanding that if a business is open, they should provide the services they advertise. The clerk assured the bbq would be done by the next evening. Instead of wasting my time to go there again and the bbq not be built I called at 10: 00am. The clerk answered and said it was not scheduled to be built until Sunday. I'm not sure how in three days you can have three different stories and information when everyone is using the same system. Needless to say I returned everything that was purchased and found the same deal with tremendously better service a smaller local store. Furthermore, I emailed customer service three weeks ago when this event occurred and have still not heard back. By far one of the worst and most frustrating experiences shopping I've had.

I needed an Infinite switch for a GE range so I contacted the Kitchener store and was connected with Parts. I placed my order, or so I thought, and was informed that the part would arrive in @ three days and that I would be contacted via telephone when the part was available for pick-up. Over two weeks went by with no telephone call to me. I called the store and once again was connected with Parts. After checking the computer system I was informed that my order could not be found and that someone would call me back to update me regarding my previous order. No call was returned to me. I stopped by the Kitchener store and asked to speak to the Store Manager. I explained the situation and was informed that the Parts Department, despite the fact that the Parts Department occupies office space within the store and has its own telephone extension, was under separate management and is not considered part of the "store". While at the store I placed another order with Parts and was informed that I would receive a telephone call once my part arrived. No call came. I stopped by the store again (I know I am a glutton for punishment) about two weeks later and found to my surprise that my part was in. I took the part home and there noticed that "6-inch" was on the plastic bag that the part came in; my burner is an 8 inch not a 6 inch. I called Parts and informed them that I thought they had ordered me the wrong part. I check was made of my order and I was informed that I had the right part and they didn't know why "6-inch" appeared on the packaging. I installed the switch and surprise, the burner does not generate enough heat to boil water. In order to maintain what little there is left of my sanity, I intend to re-order the part from another supplier.

The showroom is a beautiful place with lots of variety. I had a fairly good experience with the sales person. However, my problems began when the washer and dryer I bought were installed. The delivery people were very good and helpful. A few hours after delivery I started the washing machine. To my horror, two minutes into the cycle water started to come out from under the machine. My laundry is on the second floor so this was a really bad situation. I immediately shut the machine off and grabbed towels so that the water wouldn't go thru the floor. I tried calling the store, nobody answers the phone. I left a message, I emailed the salesperson. Eventually I had a email back from the dispatcher. I needed to take pictures of the problem. The delivery staff confirmed everything was ok. She pass info on to Customer Service. I emailed customer service because when I called it's all about leaving a message. It's been a week and I have not heard from customer service, I have not heard from the sales person, nothing. I would not recommend this store to anybody. After reading other reviews it appears other people have had issues with contact. It seems people with problems are encouraged to contact customer service. But why would you when there is no follow up.

Service was fine. Sales was friendly and knowledgeable. Delivery wasn't able to complete set-up. Machines were too large for the space and the horrible receptionist who answered the phone the following day had no interest in wanting to speak to me or help. Unless you're calling for parts, it's near impossible to get intouch with anyone at the store. The sales experience was fine, they have a great selection so that gets a 4. The awful receptions gets a 1. She offered zero customer service skills or options and as a result, I have a pair of machines too big for the space that's now my problem to sort.

We purchased a GE Cafe Slide in range. Ordered 2 weeks ago, great experience until I paid and picked up it up yesterday at 5 pm installed.professionally today at 830 am today. Started it and makes loud ticking fan sound like a mini jackhammer in the back starting at 200 degrees. Called right away at 10 am left 2 messages. Now just told as it is in my house and unboxed now they can’t help me, I deal with the manufacturer. No returns, can’t try it in the showroom! They don’t know if that is a normal sound or not.now they know about the sound and maybe could look into it? ! Requested to talk to manager and was blocked by service department as they don’t work with them and don’t know their schedule but could send an email, service didn’t call back because they were dealing with weekend issues.must have a lot of complaints or issues I guess. No call back from the salesperson. I have called 4x today never getting a live person other than reception. Wow wow wow pathetic service! Will never shop here again!

I am very disappointed in the customer service of purchasing my new kitchen appliances. I left 2 voice messages for my sales rep and 1 message for the manager and NEVER got a call back. The only way I got any info on the status of my order way thru the reception desk and calling weekly. It took almost 8 weeks from ordering to delivery. My first sales rep was sarcastic and a bit rude. And my second sales rep wasn't totally honest. I was told many things such as "price match is no problem", that my order will "only take 1-2 weeks", that my stove had arrived (when it was actually behind 4 weeks), that the delivery guys would "call 30mins before arrival" all of this was a difficult experience to get thru. As an aside I did have a wonderful experience 6 years ago when I purchased my washer and dryer.
