Just came back from this restaurant. Terrible food quality. I ordered butter chicken and chicken quarter leg tikka with two roti. The food was stale and tasteless. Tikka is probably days old. You can never have a fresh food here. Wasted my money and learned my lesson. Not recommended.

BEST BREAKFAST I HAVE EVER EATEN! Good service and one of the few places I can say holds their hygiene standards.

Always served fresh food and delicious. I never go anywhere else for breakfast. The staff is very nice.

Good for a casual "Halwa Puri" breakfast, if you are not worried about the amount of grease or proper arrangements. It will be better to bring your own tissue papers if only few are not enough for you like me. Puris are small and other than chana everything else requires faded taste buds. I'm looking for a better place for Halwa Puri breakfast.

Halwa puri is really good. Very close to what you get back in pakistan… they Just need to improve their service. It’s extremely slow and unorganized…

Tabaq Restaurant is nice. Their halwa puri breakfast is a delightful treat. The puris are crispy and the halwa is rich and chickpeas are flavorful. Good service with OK atmosphere. Plenty of parking available. Recommended for Desi Punjabi breakfast. A must-try morning treat!

The “nashta” was good. All female operated but honestly the lady on the front counter was super cold in her customer service. She acts like she’s operating a soup kitchen: she literally mumbles her response and acts like she’s doing this in gun point. I am not going back there.

This is within the mall and is part of the food court and therefore they just have common seating arrangement. It is a typical Desi mall with level of cleanliness just acceptable. However, quality of food was good, they prepared the order in reasonable time.
Halwa Puri, Nihari and Kashrmiri tea was good.

It's totally unhygienic, mostly old stuff sale and worker always dirty. Should be closed. Very unhygienic

Great authentic Pakistani food. Pleasant people to deal with. We go from Michigan to this place for years and have never been disappointed.

Worst service ever such rude behavior and worst service ever never recommend this place they mix your new food with old food not hygienic touch the food with there bare hands above that such proudness like they own the whole world also charge 20$ or deposit your phone just to use the washroom

The place is especially ample parking space, you don't worry where to park and complete your task at the location. Hair cut, nail polish with Pedicure depends on what you need, also eye brown waxing and further facial treatments. Nice to do things where rarely you can find.

If you love Pakistani/ Indian food. You gonna love their food. From Their simple Tea, awesome Halwa Puri, to their Nehari, everything tastes fantastic. I think this is the only place that sells Halwa Puri all week till 3 pm. Enjoy!

BEST PAKISTANI BREAKFAST IN TORONTO/GTA! This place deserves much higher rating than it has. My entire family and I have been coming here for almost two decades now. The halwa, nihari, chanay and puri are to die for. Not to mention, the prices are amazing. Don’t expect a comfortable dining experience, it’s literally in a rundown shopping complex… but the food is ahmazinggg. The best food comes from random spots that are literally just a hole in a wall. But do go! And you’re gonna thank me
for life.

Proper desi breakfast, halwa puri and Chana naan, this is my go to place on the weekend to have authentic Pakistani taste

All the people working this place are illiterate and ill mannered. The worst customer service and mis managed people.worst taste and quality, i believe all 5 stars reviews are from their relatives.

Tried halwa puri. It was served in a thali. Only one portion for the potato curry, one portion of the chana curry and one portion for the halwa. Rest all was filled with different kinds of pickles. I would have expected to serve majority of the thali with the potato curry and the chana curry as not everybody likes to eat pickles.

The taste was okay. Its a bit pricey for the quantity that is provided.

Prices have gone through the roof and quantity has gone down, not worth the money. No Change

Not only they increased the price but decreased the food quantity by a whole lot! We ordered breakfast for 5 people and they gave it to us what normally would be only for 2 people. So disappointed

I use to go there 15 years back then I moved to Manitoba I was visiting Mississauga decided to go back there hoping for the same service but it was terrible experience.

I ordered mix vegetable and quarter leg combo, mix vegetable had bad smell I asked if it can replace with something else fresh because it doesn’t taste right she told us to throw in the garbage and no replacement. Then she called us and offered seikh kabob we had to wait for 25-30 minutes. I left the place. She gave it to my nephew we ended up throwing them in garbage as well.

Seriously how hard is it to cook chicken, they served old nastiest biryani I have ever aten in my life chicken stink init. And chicken kabab was raw I took bite and throw up badly.
I'm eating raw garlic honey so I don't get sick with salmonella.

It was very low quality food, the chicken size and taste were not good at all the service was very slow. I will never go again tabaq used to have tasty meals but they lost the good taste and customer service

Service wise it was okay because they make it fresh so have to be patient, the dining area is not the best for its a shared hall with other restaurants

The only good part is, women run restaurant BUT all are illitrate, no customer manners. One old lady in front (owners wife or sister) always batameez to customers (If you want to ask orders detail back or to fix order, she gets angry).
Always mess up with take outs.when ever i opened order at home, something is less or totally missing.

They increased prices for pori halwa, was $5 now $6.50 +tax (doesn't worth for this price) after covid.that's why they r getting slow, Newin center is a dirty place, where u will find baggers too.

A very small takeaway place in a small mall on the southeast corner of Dundas and Hurontario streets. It is run by ladies. It is known for its Nihari. I would urge people to encourage their business by visiting them as often as possible. Good Nihari.

Staff members are rude and they barely listen to you. Only thing they have is crowd. You can always listen customers arguing with the staff. Although Food taste is good but staff needs a lot of training for customer handling.

My wife and I frequent this place for their breakfast (Home style omelet) Chana Masala and delicious Chai (tea).

Taste: Excellent, you will know from the long lineups and consistent traffic to this eatery!

Dine In: It is a food court so there is most definitely seating

Ambiance: It is fast food, we are rating the food, not coming here for events and family dinners!

An Eatery in the Nevin Mall catering mainly to the Pakistani palate, in the food court. Been a regular here for some time now, like the menu, and breakfast items as well

Most of Staff members are not wearing the mask especially girl working over the front counter.
Food is good but staff needs help to learn how to manage the customer orders. Sometimes they are missing food item to pack and they don’t bother to recheck the order contents. I travelled there from almost 20km and Found Nihari missing from my order, ruined my family’s Sunday Morning.

Been there after 5 years and the food quality is still amazing. Prices are still very reasonable compare to other places.

Really nice tasting halwa poori, really wish there was some ventilation for all the aromas, the combined smell of all the restaurants made me nauseous.

Prices are reasonable and food is good. It is a very busy place so they don't take orders over the phone. In person wait time is about 20 mins. Dine in area is not that great.

Horrible customer service. Placed order for pickup and when we arrived they said they forgot to make our order. Then told us to wait an additional 15-20min. We complained and they agreed to make our order earlier but the boxes were damaged. One of the lids was broken and it leaked in the bag. Will not be going back. 1 star because they actually did give us the food we paid for.

Been there first time for breakfast, was little busy but the service was very slow. From their body language, they do not care customers are waiting.

Food was ok. Cholay was better than Aalu curry. Allu cury had no salt and tasteless. Halwas was good.

I've tried so many pakistani and indian restaurants in mississauga and hands down tabaq has the best, the very best butter chicken! Don't be fooled by their humble location in a foodcourt. There is always a line and the pakistani ladies are very busy in back preparing authentic dishes. The butter chicken is so creamy with the right hint of tomato and spices. When I'm in the area I order 4 butter chicken with naan it isn't even enough. Most of all we even fight over the left overs. Please don't change the recipe as it simply perfection.

Had fairly decent tasting food after a long time. Spice level could go up but that's just personal preference.good experience over all.

Halwa puri was 5 star. But other food was not good.
Nihari has high salt, curry has old gravy mixed. I had to throw salad as it was very old.
Kababs sizes were small. I will go for halwa puri only next time.

The best food I've tasted in Canada. Literally taste like a delicious home cooked meal, like your grandma made it (assuming she can cook)

Good food! Pathetic service made me wait an hour after saying 15 mins. I wished so many times to leave without taking the order but stayed in hope it will be delivered in 5 mins

The food is good. Their Chana is the best in town. However the customer sevice needs lots of work. For a simple order without any naans, you have ot wait for a good 20 minutes. Their service is really slow.

I went to eat halwa puri but the taste was really poor and restaurant was not that clean inside all the ladies was busy in cooking food but no one bother to take order.thats my first and last visit at this restaurant.no recommended

Most economical Pakistani restaurant in the GTA. Tried halwa puri, Nihari and butter chicken. Liked the Nihari most! Haleem is average. Naans r yummy!

Food is okay and prices are very cheap. But this place is very close to washrooms and it smells very bad all around here. This place is also surrounded by barber shops and dead hair keep flying in food. Lots of worms are at the counter and tons are in kitchen area. If you do not want to get severely sick, than please eat at some nice place who have very good kitchen and who are not located in toilet areas, like this place.

They have the most authentic halwa puri breakfast I have had in Canada with the entirety of an authentic Pakistani breakfast experience.

Puris are done fresh, chola salan (chickpea gravy) is really simple but very hard to get right but they do a good job on it. Their achaar (pickle) is also pretty similar to what I used to get in Karachi, just missing carrots, it's made in-house unlike other halwa puri places that give store bought Mango pickle.

Part of the authentic experience here is also the downside of Pakistani authenticity. Puris are very oily and are given without any paper towels to wipe down the excess oil and no organized way of serving the orders. Yelling "2 chais ready" is unfortunately, as authentic as it gets but it's also very unorganized, next thing you know your chais were scooped by somebody else, also part of the experience lmao.

I have been told to avoid this place on Sunday as it gets super busy and there is no place to sit. I have gone there twice on Saturday, roughly around noon and seems to be the sweet spot, no rush but they are still making fresh items.

Seriously though, if you can look-over the downsides of an authentic Pakistani experience, the food is worth it.

A coworker of mines recommended this spot. It is located in a food court with multiple restaurants although I noticed this place was the busiest. I ordered 2 Chicken Biryani's at a price of $6.99 each and 1 Butter Chicken combo which includes a pop and salad at $7.49 (I did not receive salad). The total came up to $25. After my coworkers and I left I noticed the lady charged us $52 instead of $25. I went the next day to get a refund. The same lady was not there. There was 2 females; one young and one older standing by the cash. There was 3 people ahead of us waiting for there orders. I noticed that they were getting impatient as both ladies were disorganized and could not get the orders correct. It took at least 10 minutes for them to figure out the orders and the young lady was standing there laughing. When it came to my turn I explained to the young lady my issue. She also asked me to calculate the difference that they owed me. I then had to explain to the older lady my concern once more and she was confused and did not know what she was doing. The prices are extremely reasonable and the food is tasty but this restaurant LACKS total customer service.

The owner is a very nice guy but the ladies behind counter are killing his business especially sat mornings. Customer service is sooo terrible. Food is 5/10. I only go there when I'm too lazy to travel elsewhere.

Good desi food at reasonable prices. I liked them better when they were on SkipTheDishes too. They are jack of all trades and master on none. All items are good. But there isn’t any one specific item that I haven’t eaten someplace else better.

We were given order number 127, and waited for 45 mins and the lady who were serving at the front (she always there at front) start calling number ahead of us, and when we asked why are you jumping number before our, she start saying I can't give 134 number half the order, they have no service at all and they don't know how to server customer s, so Mr Jamil please close the store which you can't run or change your staff who know how to server people on time not make them wait 45 mins for 30$ order.

I always call to order food. Sadly, even though the person on the phone seems serious and asks for my number and name, she never actually asks her colleagues to prepare the food. I mentioned the time I will arrive at and inform them 5 hours or more early, but they aways act as if I never called once I'm there and make the food after I arrive. I waited two hours, just because unlike most of their other customers who don't even wait 5 minutes, they only gave me my food after I got tired of waiting and asked what is the purpose of them accepting food orders, no regard for the fact that I called early that day or waited for two hours after arriving.

Prices are cheapest out there, almost all food is delicious. Nihari, Halva Puri, Biryani are the best. However, the service is the worst you will see and it continues to be the same throughout the years.

At least 30 minutes of wait no matter what time you go. 45 on a weekend and you may have to fight to get your order for which you have already paid for. They give you order numbers but still there is no concept of a line.

They are still packed because unfortunately the crowd they attract is immune to this no-line concept. You will see people jump the line one after the other and getting food before you even though they came 15 minutes after you. The owners are oblivious to this and just take order from whomever shows up in front of the line.

I have stopped going there. In fact, I feel embarassed to go here with friends and visitors because of the havoc that I witness everytime I have been there.

I think they make good money. I wish they improve.

One of the best breakfast i had, anyone visiting Toronto should differently try it out. It's a busy place but worth waiting for your food.

Poor management and they don't serve fresh food. I ordered chicken combo and she took chicken from frigde and microwave it and than gave it to me. Nihari was also not fresh it was may be 2 days old.

Great food naan is very good. All female working hard people give them very very hard time.this is so disrespect. They are taking proper orders and providing order number on raseed.people they don’t wanna wait for proper service.

Please use your Samsung screen which is just front of your counter, to display customers serving serial number. Thanks for your consideration

I used to like the food, but they have focus on having a clean kitchen. Whoever the cashier is, they have no ideas whats going on. The seekh kababs are not good anymore even.

Mouth watering taste, super delicious halwa puri, only few spots serve good halwa puri and this is one of them. The ambient is not so cool, super busy place specially on weekends and u have to wait for around 20 to 30 min for your turn.

Food and price is great. Just double check your order to make sure you get what you ordered. Have had 3 or 4 orders be mixed up.

After all these years they still got it. The best halwa Puri channa in GTA. I just wish they move the restaurant to a better place.

If you eat with low quality food and inhygeenic and dangerous food than go there. Employees never wash hand after wash room going and I guess never take bath. Miserable and oily and will send to graveyard quickly.
