Very few yards allow you to fetch your own parts. Found a similar vehicle to mine, removed a center dash vent, chrome plastic trim ring, and a gear shift knob. Went to pay the man, and realized I was not wearing my coat that contains my wallet.
Get this! He told me that I could take the parts (this was a Saturday, close to closing) and come back Monday and pay for the items then. Of course I returned Monday, went back to the vehicle, grabbed a few things and went and paid the gentleman. Fair selection and great price.

One start is too much Mr. Taft.
I don’t know know what happened to him but he is a miserable old man now. Very condescending And rude.
Mr. Taft does not have his scale numbers where you can see them. You have to take his word on what your load weighs. I know he undercuts because I took a load to Brighton recycling and then took it to tafts and the the difference was unbelievable.
Don’t recommend this company. Go to Brighton recycling instead. They are more honest.

Tried to get quote. Low balled me at $400 on my 2012 Honda when I know for a fact that they took my neighbors car for $700 that was much older and in worse shape. I told him this and he made some excuse about having to come far. My neighbors car was scrapped last summer or fall. Really disappointed.

Taft's gave me a great price on junk that's been just sitting around for years! This "Miss" is glad to have it gone and cash in my pocket.update- another very fair day for $$ for scrap. Thanks for waiting on me too!

Absolutely one of the best auto wreckers in Ontario. These guy have unbeatable prices. I got a complete interior for 30$ with some extras. Just an amazing wreckers! Support taffys.

Great place, decent import selection most the time, and a great domestic selection, tons of trucks and vans if that's what you need.
Wear some boots unless the weather has been consistently good to dry and shore up the ground, otherwise, it's a mud-bog. Name of the game with pick-n-pulls usually.
The prices are stellar, don't expect to be spending over $100 unless you are getting something very large, integral, you'll know it when you see it.
Only real issue I could ever take with the place is that in my experience you won't see a smile or get a response to even a "have a good one" here, nothing but grumpy faces in my experience.
This isn't exactly relevant to the business (thus still 5 stars) but nothing like bad interactions sticking with you throughout the day.

Great place to get parts to save yourself hundreds that the garage would charge you. Owner has incredible knowledge and you can tell has a desire to be helpful. Cant argue with the prices they are so low.
