Greg always does a great job dealing with my anxious Shih Tzu Bella. It's always a pleasure taking her in, knowing that a couple of hours later she will come out with an awesome grooming.

Amazing experience every time! Yoshi is an Aussie doodle mix and always so happy after each groom with Ru! We have been visiting Tail Spin Dog Spa since Yoshi was 4 months old (will be 1 year soon) and they never disappoint! The care Ru takes with her each time and the genuine excitement makes me feel like I am leaving her in excellent hands.

Dee and the team at Tailspin are amazing! Billie is a senior dog with a few health issues and I never worry about leaving her there. They take such great care of her and she always comes home looking, smelling and feeling fresh. I highly recommend Dee and the Tailspin team!

My Aussie poodle, Charlie and I have been a client of TailSpin for about 20-months. I came to Tailspin Dog Spa because you offer the latest in haircuts, skin and hair treatments to keep dogs smelling, looking, and feeling their best. Tailspin also claims that “your professional groomers work with you to create a customized bathing and grooming schedule for your pet, which is an essential part of maintaining their well-being”. Tailspin prides itself in having professional groomers.

We have had many visits at tailspin with his most recent visit which was about 2 weeks ago (July 20th). Having spent hundreds of dollars, my last visit cost me $150 dollars. On a number of occasions, I noticed that when Charlie returned from the Groomer, his nails are not properly trimmed and within 10 days they were very long once again. I found this strange that his nails grew back as quickly as they did. In speaking with others who have Aussie poodles they found it strange that his nails grew as quickly as they did. I contacted Tailspin, to explain my concerns. Due to the length of his nails in such a short period of time I asked if his nails could be cut for free since he was just at Tailspin. I was told that I would be charged an additional $23 dollars to cut his nails. May I remind you, I was just at Tailspin for full grooming which includes nail cutting.

Tailspin’s ‘professional’ groomers have told that me Charlie is very difficult to handle, and have difficulties grooming him which includes cutting his nails. Due to the staff concerns of Charlie being difficult, I asked for recommendations on what to do. Tailspin recommended to sedate him. So, I requested sedatives to sedate Charlie and make it easier for the staff to handle him. I found this not normal and inhuman. I am certain that there are several ways through which professional groomers manage to keep dogs calm throughout their grooming session. I put my trust in Tailspin as they are professional groomers, as they claim. Being professional groomers, they would know how to manage dogs to keep them calm during their session.

Giving this more thought, sedating my dog as a result of Tailspins groomers not being able to handle Charlie, I find this extremely cruel for a dog. Nobody likes a bully; we often tend to lean towards people who are nice to us. Dogs also do the same. I do not believe Tailspin has been gentle nor treated Charlie with affection and concern, for him to warm up towards them. Making Charlie or any dog for that manner comfortable with the groomer, mitigates less fuss and the dog realizes that they mean no harm.

I have been taking my Yorkie, Daisy, to tailspin for around a year now. We have had nothing but amazing and accommodating service from our groomer Greg! He is always willing to move appointments to fit our schedule and Daisy is always ready very quickly. Great communication, fair prices and she always looks gorgeous!

I have been coming here for over 4 years, always book my appointment and bring my dog in whatever time before 11 and never had an issue. Everyone here is so sweet except Greg! He’s literally the rudest employee. First time I ever met him he didn’t cut my dogs hair properly and didn’t listen to a word I told him.

Today I called in at. 9: 20 asking if it’s okay for me to still come in. GREG TOLD ME COME IN BEFORE 10 and we’re gonna be fine.

I came in at 10: 10, I live 40 minutes away, and he literally told me he can’t take my dog anymore. I don’t understand, what does 10 minute change? They would still leave my dog and wait to groom her whenever they are free. I told him that I live very far and I drove all the way here, and he didn’t care at all. I hate when people waste my time, he should of told me that information over the phone and not make me drive 40 minutes just to tell me to leave.

He’s literally the rudest person ever and I am never taking my dog here ever again.

We’ve switched groomers a few times for our very finicky puppy, and were really happy to find Tailspin. They’re patient and really work with your pup to get them comfortable with the grooming process (grooming is just about the most unfamiliar experience a young puppy goes through).

My dog only goes here and I’m always impressed when he comes home! Thank you for handling my dog (Khalifa) with care! He looks great.

I’ve been taking my pup Livie to Tailspin since she was 12 weeks old. I did a lot of research and after one phone call with the owner Dee I knew it was the spot for us. Livie loves going to Tailspin and especially loves the blueberry facials! They don’t put her in a crate and she has a nap in their lunch room with everyone shoes. They do they best job and I’ve never had an issue. My pup has a double coat so they were always will to chat with me to make sure I knew what I was doing as a first time dog owner. I’ve referred lots of friends and everyone is happy!

Tail Spin is an incredible groomer. We have been taking our almost 13 year old dog here her whole life and wouldn't go anywhere else. Dee and her staff are so professional and attentive and always leave our sweet dog looking and smelling great. They go above and beyond and really take the time to explain the best hair cut for the dog based on the condition of the coat. A few times we have unfortunately had our dog get a bit matted when we haven't been to the salon regularly enough or keeping up with brushing, but they always find a great solution. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

Dee and her team at Tailspin are absolutely wonderful. They have taken care of my pup with great kindness, patience and love. Arlo can be a nervous pup, but he loves going to Tailspin and always comes home happy and looking wonderful. We are so thrilled to have found Dee and her team. I could not recommend them more highly.

We took our puppy here for her first groom. She was not able to get groomed, but they still charged me the same price. We went back a few weeks later and got her nails trimmed and we could hear her crying in the back. Unfortunately we will not be back.

Horrible experience to be honest.

1. Price - I visited the place with my dog before making any appointments as he was all matted and I wanted to understand how they could help us and how much would that cost. They said that they will need to shave him and it would cost between 120-130. They wrote this information with a pencil in the agenda were they registered my future appointment.
When they finally groomed him, they requested $180 because it was too difficult to shave him. Then they said that it was because my dog tried to bite her.unbelievable.my sheepadoodle is used to being groomed and has never try to bite anyone (now I understand all comments made here before). I told them to look at the agenda to see the price that was agreed upon and they erased it (we could see the trace as it was pencil) and put on top of it 130-150, so I said that I would pay 150 but not 180. The owner was also telling me that I never brought my dog before the grooming day and started to ask some questions about how looked like the person that I spoke to the day I came.like if I was lying. How would I know that the price was written in the agenda if I didn't come in person?
2. How they treat you - Apart from being treated as a liar and also they called me "rude" for not be willing to pay 180. When I wanted to drop my dog, they didn't even try to give him a treat or make him understand that he was in a safe environment.they just pulled him inside at the same time my dog was trying to stay with me. After 4 hours, they called me in because he was ready, so I said that I needed 45 mins to get there because I was on a meeting. But they sent me a message 1 min after saying that I needed to pick him up right away because he wouldn't stop barking! That was also surprising to me as he normally doesn't bark. So I came right away and no barks where heard at all. They just didn't want to have the dog with them anymore.
I would suggest you go somewhere else and if you are coming here, confirm the price and everything else that is important to you.

Tailspin was reccommended to us and we decided to give them ago as We had a really bad experience with our last groomers. We went and explained what had happened the last time and how anxious and upset our dog was when we got her home. They reasured us that they would be gentle and caring, which they were. We have been back now 3 times and each time or dog has settled more and more.its like a hairdressers! Once you find a good one you stick with them.thats what we'll be doing with Tailspin.

My experience was a while ago but it still bothers me to this day but I thought I’d finally write my review. This place is beyond unprofessional. The first time I took my dog here after my dog was finished a blonde woman asked me if I “ever brushed my dog” (he’s a bulldog). I said no, it’s hard to do this at home, also why I brought my dog in. This was annoying but not the worst. The second time I brought my dog the groomers called me to pick my dog up “immediately” saying he’s being aggressive. I’ve never witnessed my dog being aggressive in my life. When I showed up they had my dog segregated behind a gate and told me I had to get him myself (I had a visibly broken arm). They let my dog out and he was trying to play with the other dogs. The one groomer with dark hair body slammed my dog to the ground and acted like she blew out her knee caps and herniated her lumbar spine. Still forcing me to try and clip the harness and leash with a broken arm. When I finally got my dog together they suggested I book at later times when it’s less busy. I never booked in again. I’ve taken my dog to other groomers, never a complaint, always saying how much of a pleasure my dog is to work with. Perhaps if you’re incapable of handling dogs, you shouldn’t be in this business. Also, don’t waste your money getting your dog “de-shed” here. He still shed a lot after. Other places around the city do a way better job.

Tail Spin has been so good to our dog Murphy! They take the time to make him comfortable and, he loves being there. Their facilities are very clean, and he always comes out looking great. Their appointments book up fast, so make sure you book ahead.

Finding a good groomer isn't always easy but it is worth it!
I'm so happy that I found Tailspin! They always take such good care of my american bully. Nicole's smiling face is so welcoming and calming for my dog, he's never been more excited to get groomed. I have nothing but good things to say about these professional and lovely ladies! Beau already can't wait to come for his next visit!
Thanks for always taking such good care of my little guy
Keep up the good work!

I have been using Tailspin for my dog for over 4 years now and had no issues up until recently when Dee decided to be rude and unprofessional.
I told her about an issue I had with the way she treated me and she called me to yell rather than hear me out. She was aggressive and defensive rather than listen to my concern. The call ended horribly with her insisting she is right. She picks and chooses which clients to prioritize despite whether it is your turn or not. Dee doesn't seem to care about customer loyalty and is probably just driven by greed. She is one of the rudest people i have met and i am appalled at how she handles customer concerns but even more disgusted at how she treats clients who were LOYAL to her and who REFERRED others to her. I would NOT recommend this place despite the fact that some of the staff are lovely.

I would highly recommend Tailspin to all dog owners in Toronto! Dee is a master at what she does, and has always been so kind and professional during our interactions, along with all of the staff there. My dog looks absolutely beautiful too!

The most important thing to me was I felt comfortable leaving my dog with them! They did a great job with grooming with a reasonable price! I just moved to the city and lucked out!

I absolutely trust the staff here with my dog. I have a teacup poodle that have soft puppy hair. She can become hypoglycemic if stressed. They finished the job fast and my dog walked out pretty and happy. Their lovely staff even added a cute little scarf to complete the look, I love it! They charged me at a very reasonable price as my dog is well trained for grooming, besides, I comb her everyday to make sure her hair is not tangled. If you are considerate to others, they will treat you the same way.

Although the haircut and grooming was very good and decent quality, there were two issues:
PRICE: I was quoted $90-$120 on the phone. A friend of mine went to pick up my dog, and pay on my behalf and was told that it’s $140 CASH price. No HST. Bit strange.and if it quote a price, you should stick to it.

DOG HEALTH: My dog got a nasty ear infection the next day. There was several hairs still in his ears, after the groom, which is normal, but I’m not sure what their method of cleaning is, or what water/products they use.
