Taj Bistro

This is not about food, but the seating and service. We couldn't get to eat there because there was only '3' tables and was full. Then they advised to do take out. While we were checking the menu, they came back saying it might take 1.5 to 2 hours for the take out food to be made- which was ridiculous. I could buy grocery, cut the chicken and make food by that time at home. So I would suggest to improve the space and to be more careful with customers. 2 hours seemed ridiculous for a take out order. There was some more space, which they could rearrange and get us accommodated. Very disappointed, we really wanted to try the food as we live nearby.

I ordered some time from taj bistro barrie its a risk. Some time its good but most of the time they disappointed. Its not even fresh

Place is amazing, great food, good service, chairs could use and up grade some were all ripped up.other than that highly recommend for great Indian food I travel 30min just to get food from here.

The food here is excellent and they're very nice people! If you're not getting rice and Naan for each person I'd recommend ordering a large.

Disappointment served at its best. This cannot be Indian food at all. Chicken curry is pathetic. Wait times are horrendous. Eat at your own risk of not expecting taste. Chef needs to stop fooling people around.

The Chicken Madras curry and Butter Chicken curry, along with the rice, were amazing! I would give 10 out of 5 stars for this. But.the Naan is rubbery, the Veggie Samosas were mediocre, and the "reconstituted" chicken kebabs were inedible, we threw them all out after one bite. Awful. Just buy the curries and rice, you won't be disappointed. Skip everything else.

Food was great. Portion were small, they say it can be shared between 2 person but if your really hungry, it only feeds one person

Service not good. Run out with many items so customer who are coming to resturant will not have a choice to order food they want. Taste wise okay. But I would prefer some other place.

I have order dahi bhalla, mango lassi and paneer tikka masala through uber eats. This is worst food i have ever eaten. Food is not good both quality and taste wise and not even fresh. Not recommended

Amazing food! It's truly authentic Indian food. Exceptional service, especially from our server Simoni. She was so kind and had a cheerful presence about her. I 100% recommend coming here!

Visited the Barrie location after running 12Km. Hats off to the chef Varun for the delicious food and to Sumoni for the amazing hospitality.

Food was so delicious as well as fresh. Friendly staff and good service. I love the overall atmosphere and it was very nice experience visiting there. Thank you taj bistro for providing us Indian feel and for best service

Love, love their food. For about a year now, it’s become a Wednesday tradition for us— Wasn’t initially planned for tradition but turns out their food is always so good, hot, fresh and delicious we traditionalized it. We don’t have a bad thing to say about this place, we love it. Proportions are decent also, no issues.

The young girl who always works on Wednesday night is so lovely, always pleasant and friendly, we enjoy seeing her.

We order: Take out- we order large size in all items.
Plain Naan bread
Chicken tiika masala
Okra dish
Daal soup (yummy)
Plain rice
If you’re not used to spicy start with mild, as medium can be quit hot.
We have also tried- samosas, Herb rice, Lamb Madras masala, they are also all very good.
So far so good no issues, hoping they always keep their proportions the same and food tasting so delicious.
One slight downside is sometimes they don’t always have the “daal soup” which we love, but not a big concern when they don’t- we just miss having it.

Went here for my mom's birthday (parents only eat Indian food) and the food was delicious! Hyderabadi Biryani, chana, and the paneer were all fantastic! Will definitely be back to try the meat dishes!

The worst service ever! I ordered the food from taj from uber and pick the pick up option. The staff completed the order on 8: 10 but I didn’t receive anything till 8: 50. Asking the staff they have a totally unprofessional behaviour towards the customer. Worst customer service

Food was awesome specially Panner Lababdar & chicken tikka was mouth melting.
Tikki was scrumptious but but but Dahi bhallas were too dry & hard!
Chicken Briyani was flavourful.

We stopped by Barrie on the way from Huntsville. Craving some Indian food we decided on Taj Bistro. Boy this place did not disappoint. Apart from the beautiful waterfront surroundings, the food was simply amazing. Aloo tikki, choley bhature, garlic naan, tarka daal, and melt in your mouth lamb biryani. If I had the option, I would give it 6 stars. We'll be going back soon to try other delicacies.

Very very bad service… we waited more than an hour for dine in and then we got a call back saying they can’t accommodate for us as the reception staff gave away table to other parties… over booked reservation cause and longer waiting period … the reception staff girl didn’t let us take us out either as they’re closing soon so we had left without any food…very rude staff and overcrowded place

Something is wrong with the food! Twice now I've been really sick after eating food from here. My sister also fell sick! The quality of the food has also declined.
Be careful people!

Exactly 3 pieces of chicken in biryani chicken very small portion for the price.but it’s delicious but not enough

Disappointed with service … longer waiting less staff … we had reservations booked waited for 1 hour and then girl gave away the table to other parties while we were waiting for a phone call. And then she said they can’t accommodate us as they’re over packed and so much attitude …
