My favorite all you can eat sushi in Newmarket! Reasonably priced, and a decent variety on the menu. Staff is always helpful and friendly I'd recommend anyone try if they love sushi. The only thing I find funny is the country music radio station is always playing

Fresh sushi, great taste and prompt service every time we ordered take out. Price is reasonable, menu has lots to offer. Convenient location with plenty of free parking. Some discount on cash payment!

Went there with 4 of us and asked for more space and the put us in a bigger table right away sat down got taken care of right away, also have 2 waitresses attending us the whole time, the food was good and they place looks nice with the lights in the ceiling…. I think they are really trying me and my friends read a lot of bad reviews but I think they are really trying to change that I can definitely see them putting a lot of effort, I read one where someone said they didn’t even get water topped up, but our table had everything we needed

They have a good selection, food is pretty tasty. I've no major complaints. If you're looking for a solid all you can eat place for a reasonable price, this place will likely do it for you.

Won’t be going back here. The sushi was not good at all in my opinion. Maybe if someone who doesn’t regularly eat sushi would think it is ok.

Horribly expensive Girlfriend and I Had 2 Miso 5 rolls and a salad the bill was 93$ Not worth it other times it would come out to 60-65$ don’t know why this time it’s 93

Our server forgot about meals in order 2 times. Its very dirty and unusual expensive. For 2 adult and 1 kid 118$$$! For what? The worst all you can eat in Newmarket.

Turned us away from dining in at 8: 46PM when closing time was 9: 30. Maybe they should update their closing time to 8: 46 instead of 9: 30. Actually scratch that, huge shoutout to the waiter for sparing us from eating 4.0/5 subpar sushi.

Went here around 4 PM for an early dinner. Ordered the wontons, shrimp tempura, beef short ribs, teriyaki beef and it seemed like it was leftover. It didn’t really taste fresh. Was kind of disappointed with the food.

Went for a walkin order, good pricing, the sushi was better than expected, and the order came out quickly.

Sushi tasted pretty good

Menu hasn’t been modernized to technology; still using pen and paper to order items
Lunch menu doesn’t have very many options (I.e lacking rainbow rolls, red belly tuna, etc)
Servers never came around to top-up water and tea
Staff never smiled and seemed grumpy
Gratuity was included despite only being 2 people (usually automatic gratuity is for tables of 12+ guests)
PRO’s:

My family loves their sushi platers, always fresh, beautifully prepared and displayed. We asked several times to make it extra pretty for a birthday or anniversary, do they ever pay attention and go the extra mile. They get definitely two thumbs up from my family! Always super friendly service! Thank you for your wonderful delicious food and great service!

Worst customer service. We reached way before closing time and server refused us to dine in. We said that we'll order for take out. Even then she asked us to leave and not sit there while we decide our take out order.

Got this place through Uber eats. My girlfriend and I arrived home late to the food waiting. I was impressed with the price and the really good quality of the food. Though we both felt the soy sauce was pretty strong doesn't change the fact the food itself was really good. Thanks for making my first meal and first guest at my new place happy. It's a memory I'll never forget

25 minute wait on a Saturday which is definitely respectable. Maki rolls were fresh and well presented.

At the first moment you step in this restaurant the personel give you a nice feeling. Very courteous team, it is a good place to hang out with friends and colleagues or with your date.very good food, specialist chef, reasonable cost and nice service. Highly recommended.

They made a mistake with the order, had to go back to change them. And not even once apologized for their mistake, on the phone or in person.

I visited this place with my parents back in July- service was great, food was great, I was overall very happy with my experience there.
Fast forward to September, I arranged that a group of 11 of my close friends and family go to the restaurant to dine as I initially had a good experience there.
This place was without a doubt, the absolute worst dining experience I have ever had. Their restaurant is not made to handle a group more than 5, and they should have never accepted my reservation if they knew how unbelievably difficult it would be for them to bring forks, wasabi, and a beer.
It was a busy Saturday night, and only two servers were on the floor (maybe try upping your employment btw), one of them was nice, and the other was extremely rude. Whenever we asked for something, she simply wouldn't bring it. We asked for napkins, forks, beer, salt at least 4 or 5 times, and she just never brought it. We had to flag down the other server who was actually doing her job and bother her to bring our stuff (mind you, she also would only bring it after the second time we reminded her, but still and improvement and she was friendly).
On top of that, it took an hour for us to get our food, and the server wouldn't listen to us when we asked her to treat the tables as 2 different orders, thus leaving everybody confused as to what was and wasn't theirs. Additionally, we would only receive the rolls we ordered after we flagged down the server and asked if they were ever coming (This was an hour after ordering them, we ended up not receiving the bulk of our order). So in addition to the terrible service, we didn't receive more than half of our order.
A few things that stuck out to me about the rude server was:
-When I would ask the server if the chefs were working on our food (after waiting literally an hour) she replied:
"Wait, everybody in the restaurant is waiting for their food" (Lol okay so why is this place running a restaurant if they are incapable of serving food).
-My parents really like wasabi, so my mom asked for more. The server replied saying, "Theres two on the table, one there and one there, " (There was two dollops of wasabi between 11 people) to which my mom replied, "But theres alot of us, can we just have some more wasabi please. " She rolled her eyes and never came back with it. I'm not sure why we need to fight our server for wasabi, but sure.
-I saw her standing near the cash, probably waiting for a dish to come out of the kitchen, and I figured that this would be the perfect time to ask her, for the 4th time, if we could get a beer at the table. She literally nodded her head, snapped at me and said "one second". She never came to the table to bring us a beer.
-We asked for salt at the table, she brought sugar.
-Actively avoiding our table, fully turning her head if I looked at her to get her attention.
-Looking at her to get her attention while she was just standing around, she looked at us and just nodded her head as if to say no.
-Completely ignoring me when I talked to her, we had two seniors and a child at the table and wanted to just ask her a couple questions- she wouldn't even listen to what we had to say and would cut us off.
As someone who also worked as a server at an understaffed restaurant, I understand how it could be overwhelming to work a busy Saturday night, however it gives you no excuse to be unbelievably rude, and just plainly ignore customers and give all the work to your other coworker who is taking care of all the other tables. On top of all of this, the food simply never arrived. We ordered alot of sushi, we got two trays, but it wasn't even a quarter of what we ordered.
To be honest, I have no idea what we paid for.

I didn't like that they included the tip (%12) I didn't know I was in California. I like to have a choice & would have tipped more but.

Order for delivery missing items. Person said just let them know next time. Like how will you remember? No offer of money back or to re send missing items. Tempura is really small. Very disappointed with their customer service.

The sushi is probably some of the best I've had, the service is always Great, and the price is reasonable. I eat there almost once a week and plan on continuing

Pound for pound this in my opinion is the best ayce sushi in the area. Ive been to a few ayce around Newmarket and Aurora, I always come back here. I have never been disappointed in the good. Fresh, fast and delicious. Great price, great food. Highly recommended.

The only place I prefer to go for sushi. Not a fan of the new stuff. Noticed that the old manager is now just a regular worker. He was definitely one of my favorite parts about this place, the new manager always looks so rude.

If i could leave 0 stars, i would. We are regulars at taka sushi, today will be the last day i go there. Food is subpar, and service today was non existent. We were really rushed, and the server had a very poor attitude. She not only forgot my food not once but multiple times, she did not care to remedy it in anyway. She asked "we done" instead of giving us our food and did not even acknowledge it. 0/5 stars, would not go.

Bad attitude from servers, also forgetting some of my order. Waiting and she doesn't even care that she forgot. Even though I give up to 20% tip each time they still don't care to bring my food. Today really upset about servers attitude. Today was my last day here. Good luck with your business.

Quick service, fresh food and reasonable pricing. Their salad dressing is really good compared to other places I've tried. They offer a 10% discount on cash orders which is always nice:)

This place is an all you can eat buffet, it means you pay for a fixed price. You are allowed to choose as much as you want from the variety of foods, but there might be a limit on eating if the it is busy. On weekends the price increases and lunch is cheaper than dinner. Overall, Taka Sushi is a tasty and welcoming place.

Went with a group of 6 total. We had a variety of selections from the menu and everything was excellent. The service was prompt and the price was right.

About 6 tables in the restaurant 2 tables of 6,1 of 5 and 2 cooks. Took 30mins to get a quarter of our meal and when i look over to the cooks they are working in slow motion. Update: 20mins later only received that quarter of the order and servers are just standing around and tables that have been here less time than we have are getting their full order. TERRIBLE SERVICE!
