This place is a must!
I ordered brownies as a gift and needed to adjust the delivery date. The customer service is outstanding and the brownie were absolutely delicious!

My friends and are are sitting down as we speak to the mac and cheese. It is the BEST mac and cheese all of us have ever had! AMAZING! Highly highly recommend!

The blueberry lemon and black forest cakes were moist and yummy, if on the sweet side. They looked very elegant. The 8 inch cakes were huge because they are so tall! 15 of us ate cake for two days and could not finish them!

Staff was friendly and helpful, beautiful location but was greatly disappointed by their shepherds pie. The cooking directions called for the pie to be defrosted the night before and then cooked for 35 mins. After 1.5hrs the pie was still cold in the middle, after two hours even though hot it didn’t taste cooked. The potatoes were grossly undercooked, had a texture of powdered chunks potatoes. The rest was completely flavourless, will go as far as saying disgusting. After spending $35 for it, we were determined to save the meal. We had to add our own spices, garlic butter, cheese to make it edible.

Disappointed by the taste and quality for the price these baked goods are. I wanted to buy 6 items (cookies, pastries etc) and save some taxes but the lady said I had to buy 6 of the exact same items for taxes to not apply. Yeah, not going there again unfortunately.

I love this place, I use their online ordering to get meals for my grandfather delivered, whenever he doesn’t feel like cooking, and they always love the food from the treats to the savoury dinners!

So this is the second time something like this happens and now lesson learned - this place does not verify their orders properly at all. Ordered a nice dinner for Valentine's day only to have a mixup on a desert and an entire entree missing. They are of course closed so you cannot even get it rectified the same day. Very disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

Was a wonderful and cozy place. I visited it with my wife and we had a good time there. Delicious cakes and coffee options. Welcoming staff. I recommend it to people in Barrhaven and Manotick area to Take Another Bite there!

Not sure if this is typical but we were given one of the beef bourguignon from a relative. It was extremely disappointing. 2/3 of what was in the package was potatoes which had the consistency and flavor of the powdered potato mix I remember from camping. The beef itself had an ok texture but the mushrooms tasted like they were from a can.
Certainly not worth the money that was paid for it.

A true hidden gem! Comfort food at it's finest! The soups at this place are amazing. Baked goods stacked as high as the eye can see when you first walk in the door. There is a huge section of freezer prepared meals to make life easy. The meals are reasonably priced. Two people under 10 bucks for a hearty soup! You can smell, taste, and see the care and love that goes into the food as soon Nas you walk in the door. Independent owned support local!

On Wednesday Jan 11, I had called in a cake order and asked if I could make changes to one of the cakes listed on the website. The lady who took my order didnt tell me that they dont allow for modifiations but took payments for the cake with my requests.

I mentioned to the lady who took my order if the baker wasnt sure of my requst to call for clarification.

Today I went to pick up my cake order for my daughters birthday (which is today) and the order was wrong.

I spoke to the GM, Mike and his option was to refund me and not have a cake or to take a cake that was made incorrectly at full price.

The GM said that this was a "teachable moment" for the staff who took my order but I have a hard time with that because they should know up front that they are not a "custom bakery". It's not fair to use my daughters birthday as a teachable moment for an adult who didnt do their job right. I am also upset at the GM. He asked me what I wanted to fix the situation and his response was "We dont give away free cakes" But its ok that a customer pays for the wrong order.

Very disappointing experience.

I've always had terrible service here: the staff behind the counter seem to be unknowledgeable about the baked goods, and are unhelpful when I've wanted recommendations or had questions.

Taste of food and desserts are satisfactory, but nothing mind-blowing. I find that the business cheaps out on classic items. The quiches barely have a crust, and the lasagna didn't have much meat, but it was very cheesy.

I will say that Mike provides great customer service (for orders). Going to this location to get serviced sucks.

We have been customers for the past few years now. It was great during the pandemic to have super tasty food readily available in our freezer while we worked from home. A large selection of staple foods such as shepherd’s pie, lasagna etc as well as upscaled ones such as boeuf bourguignon, shrimp Alfredo. Some are available in family size format (makes for an easy dinner) or individual sizes. I absolutely recommend the mushroom soup and desserts too.

Only peeve: the local delivery used to be $5 and so convenient. It is now $15 and a big increase. I would order more often with a reduced delivery fee. Some places offer free deliver over a certain order amount. Otherwise I find their food pricing to be fair and reasonable.

#Take Another Bite, also known by the Manotick Locals as #TAB! Located off Manotick Main Street where the lovely #AllureSpa building is, next door to #MillersOven. #TAB has a commercial kitchen where ordered customised cakes, fresh and frozen meals are prepared for the bakery-coffee/tea shop ️? And for catering events. They have the best #LondonFogTea I have had so far and the Mother’s Day & Fathers’s Day dessert variety boxes are amazing. Also available are gluten free & vegetarian options! Take a walk through Manotick Village (south Ottawa) and visit the shop.

Dropped in on the morning Rogers was down and they were taking cash only which was just fine as we just had enough cash between us to buy 4 fabulous scones and 3 great cups of coffee. This little treasure in Manotick has always had delicious food.

Good selection of treats and food. The bakery items we got were well made and delicious. The inside was small and nice. Places to sit as well which is nice. Great spot to visit when in Manotick

For our wedding, my husband and I ordered quite a few items to go along with our main meal (pizza). The salads, desserts, and charcuterie trays were all amazing and very fairly priced. We were super happy with our choices - especially the dessert platters, the gluten free tarte, and curry veggie dip! Thank you so much!

Hidden treasure! Delicious pies, biscotti and scones (and so much more). Thrilled to have found this place! Highly recommend

Great place for snacks and a coffee and some quick dinner options. The staff are always very polite and happy to help.

I do really wish that they would fix the giant pothole at the entrance of their parking lot. For the price you pay here, you’d expect the property maintenance to be a bit better.

The small shop with the big offerings. The crusted rice balls - excellent. Quiches. GF desserts etc. Makes for the best brunch choice assembly

Excellente sélection, brownies, carrés aux bleuets, etc. Prix très raisonnables, le service étaient très amical, on était bien installé à l'ombre sur la petite terrasse pour déguster nos achats et tout était délicieux. Ils ont aussi des sandwiches et d'autres plats pour un repas plus complet. J'y retournerai c'est certain!
