Casual anniversary dinner.
Booked an outdoor cabin with wood stove (November, so was cool out) for private dinner.
Staff was attentive and friendly.
Food was good, with some interesting finds.

Tall Trees has it all! Excellent food, atmosphere and service. We dined in December in a cozy gazebo with its own wood stove. The servers were super friendly and efficient. Even the owners popped in to meet us. And the food was incredibly delicious from the soup to the entree and decadent dessert. Deep fried butter tart? !? I mean, it doesn’t get better than that!
I highly recommend this restaurant.

Best restaurant in Huntsville! I was a bit traumatized with the huge portion here.

FOOD:
• East Coast Fish cake: I hope it has more sauce but overall it's pretty good

• Onion soup: very thick broth, cheesy and flavorful.

• Cabernet Braised Lamb Shank/Rib: here comes the calories bomb. It's huge! The rib and the lamb taste the same to me because they use same marinade and same sauce. I personally prefer Lamb as it's something different. Very tender, amazing sauce & gravy, love that it's paired with squash puree.

• Dark Chocolate & Blood Orange Crème Brûlée: Thick chocolate cream with a hint of orange. It's really good when you didn't have a huge meat main course.

• Butter tart: Quite sweet to me with lots of whip cream on top.

DRINKS:
• Captain H: did not expect much from drinks in Huntsville, this one is decent, light and refreshing.

SERVICE: The waiter is so friendly and funny, always cracking some fun jokes and create great vibes

INSIDE: in a old house uphill, very very busy, even when we got reservation we still have to wait 30 mins.

Beautiful mixed BBQ plate and some creative cocktails with the piece de resistance: a deep fried butter tart! My God! The chef that came up with that needs the Order of Canada. Right now! Immediately!

Amazing find. We stopped here on the way to Algonquin park. The quality of the food is very high quality, and the biggest surprise was portion size, which are VERY generous. For such high quality food, we never thought we’d be getting so much food in our plates, and it was refreshing compared to what we are used to in Toronto. Food is very fresh and home made. This place is a gem, service was very friendly. I don’t often review places, but when a place is amazing, it needs to be highlighted. Oh and the price is very fair. Only good things! Keep it up, and you’ll keep your customers forever.

Absolutely phenomenal food, service was impeccable by our server Jay! The owner even came out to check on us and make sure we were satisfied, which we most definitely were! Will most certainly be returning!

I had the 3 course dinner, Calimari as an additional appetizer, french onion soup, and the pork chop as a main! Im typing this while waiting for my butter tart, and couldnt be more impressed!

Went there on Saturday of the long Labor day weekend. Scallops were delicious but the white fish was baaad. Dry, tasteless and the way it was cooked felt more like a side road shack than a gourmet restaurant. Forget the light breading and flour and just use some real lemon beurre blanc! Basically learn ho to cook refined fish if you charge almost $50 for a main. For the price of this dish it was more than disappointing.
Dessert was good though but the raspberries on top of the tartlet were still frozen. See pictures. Doesn’t take much to defrost in hot water for a second.

I went here for my birthday dinner and it was the best dining experience I’ve ever had. From the service to the atmosphere to the amazing food I was impressed and delighted.
We reserved a gazebo table, which is a wonderfully private way to enjoy a meal. I got the three course dinner with the BBQ Mixed Grill as my main and every bite was a flavour party in my mouth - it was clearly expertly crafted. Our server Jay was attentive, and an absolute joy to be served by. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, and even venture to say it’s the best dining experience in Muskoka.

Our first visit to Tall Trees. We loved the experience. We were in the horse room. Lovely view. Definitely will have to return for the Prime Rib Saturdays.

Delectable food and perfect service. The owner came by to ensure everything was delightful. The only thing I might change next time would be where we sat, was quite loud in the galley-type room we were seated.

Un dîner agréable dans une maison un peu exiguë mais calme. Les plats étaient bien cuisinés mais j'ai été très surpris par le plat de poisson blanc, très sec, sans sauce et sans saveur, impossible à terminer. De même, les fruits congelés sur le dessert (framboises) ne font pas du tout dessert frais.service impeccable, mais le dîner au final n'est pas inoubliable malgré les prix assez élevés.

Went here as part of our honeymoon trip to Muskoka and this place did not disappoint. I had the clock tower cocktail which was light and sweet and so perfectly done. We shared an appetizer which was absaloutely amazing. Could have ordered 10 more of them. Our meals were phenomenal. The stuffed chicken was cooked perfectly and the vegetables had such a savory flavor. We sat in the gazebo which was private and cozy and 10 out of 10 for ambience. One of my top 3 meals for sure

Fabulous dinner at Tall Trees Muskoka @talltreesmuskoka - Whitefish for Sue, mixed grill for me (jerk chicken, pork back ribs and beef shortribs), finished by sharing a deep fried butter tart.
