I reside in Waterloo, Ontario, and although it was quite a distance, I had my doubts about going there. However, it ended up being the finest Channa Puri establishment in all of Canada. The service provided was exceptional, and now it has become my preferred destination for Halwa Puri nashta, as it closely resembles the Pakistani taste. The owner was incredibly amiable and ensured that our experience was truly valuable. Every penny spent was worthwhile.

Took order over the phone for halwa puri when I arrived there the food was not ready and both cashier and kitchen staff started hurling abuses at each other. Cancelled the order and left immediately and will never visit this restaurant again.

Love chane and tandoori roti. Uncle is very nice.highly recommended and dal makhni was marvellous

Food was not yummy.quantity was less.paneer was exceptionally oily and didn’t taste that it supposed to.biryani was okay.malai kofta not available.mix veg had huge pieces of potatoes probably bcoz its cheaper.one thing was good that it was readily available.
I would never try again.

I took couple of times food from Tanddori Host at this location. But today got very bad experience, food was very cold when open at home. Whatever I am thinking, some one cancelled the Halwa puri and they just handed over me. This all my activity happened, firstly ordered on phone and pickup right-away.

Recommendation: Try to avoid on phone, just go there and order and wait is better, either on phone and request them, please give fresh.

Tried first time their food and last time. Seems like they serve leftover food. Too much Oily and cheap quality of oil that I couldn't eat. Wasted my money wish I could return them

I visited with my family this morning for a desi chana poori breakfast. We ordered the chana pooris with halwa and doodh patti.
Surprisingly, the taste of every item on the plate, including the tea was just way off. They have food items look ok, but they taste nothing like they should.

The chanas tasted hints of paya and burnt oil. It was really bad. The pooris were ok. The alu tarkari (potatoes) tasted nothing like alu tarkari. The halwa tasted nothing like halwa. The doodh patti just tasted like water and milk with hints of tea. Its like the chef in the kitchen didnt know what ingredients to use at all and didnt care.

There were other guests complaining about the food as well. We did mention speak with the lady behind the counter and she said, thats how its always tasted. She did mention that alu should taste a bit like paya maybe because they might have use the same utensils while cooking.
I suspect they re-use their cooking oil multiple times and thats how the paya flavor got into the chanas and the alu.

I wont be going back there again.

The lady behind the counter was nice, humble and had alot of patience. Kudos to her. 2 stars for just the service. Food was really bad.

Very good spot and fair pricing. Spices are more subtle than its competitor "tandoori time" across the same plaza which makes it easier to enjoy for the people that eat Indian once in a while without consequences lol Their butter chicken is very good, Chana masala is a nice and silky curry with fair amount of chickpeas, and the biryani is spot on with spice and aroma!

Today I dine in this restaurant. They got awsum good and very tasty. I eat chicken karahi and chana very very yummy.

One of the best places to have vegetarian in Vaughan. We ordered Chole and garlic naan and the food was amazing! It's become our go-to place for Indian food. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to try Indian food.

I wish I could give this place a 0 stars but thats not possible, the nihari and the paya especially was the worst. The food was old and tasted bad. Not only that but we were charged over 60 dollars for a very small amount of food in a very small bowl. Half of my family was sick after eating the food here and the service was terrible they had no garnishes.

Daal Channa and Pai were of an amazing taste. The reception was nice and the food was ready in no time. Don't miss out on Lassi as well.

We went to this place on July 27 evening, after long tiring day at wonderland with kids. The owner Mr Taari is one of the hilarious person I ever met, he suggested us couple of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes and we ordered according to that. I can say that I have never tasted such a incredibly tasty food in such a long time. I am a vegetarian so I had daal mash and chana masala. Kids and other family friends of us had palak gosht and chicken kadahi. They also praise the food quality and taste, this place is real hidden gem guys. I will definitely go there again thanks

During my business trip to GTA, I had all my meals here, this restaurant is a hidden gem, thank you to the owner and his family for everything, I will be coming back soon in sha Allah

I visit this place for dinner with my family no doubt the food was very good but the quantity of food was very less according to the price. The price was not updated on the menu as well. The main thing that disappoints us was that the staff was very unprofessional, and providing poor service to their customers and charging 10 dollars extra as a service charge. The front desk employee was talking so loud with his friend sharing his personal life by putting his phone on speaker for a long time which disturb all the customers who were sitting around. So here is my humble request to the owner of the restaurant to maintain professionalism in staff so we can come next time to enjoy the food.

Very bad customer service. The man in the front who takes calls and orders is so rude. I asked if they have bhindiya, and he is like no, we don't even get it for ourselves at home. What stupidness. If you speak in English, he starts speaking in his language and is not polite at all. His tone is rude and his words are harsh for no reason. Disrespectful. His wife cooks in the back and is pleasant to customers, but he is not.

Had an amazing dining experience. They were really professional and knows how to take good care of their customers. Needless to say the food was amazing.

New owners, excellent service and delicious food. Very clean place. Felt like home cooked meals. Lamb Biryani was delicious, absolutely tender meat and just the right spice level. Generous portion. Need nihari was fantastic with hot fresh naan! Great place.

Went for nashta and loved their halwa puri. It is now my all time favorite place for halwa puri.

After an enjoyable and tiring day at Canada's Wonderland, found this gem of a place right across the street.
Fresh and authentic desi cuisine. Naan were amazing, BBQ entrées are a must try. Loved the Goat Paya. Chicken Biryani is also top notch.
This place is a great find.

We do takeout. Great service and taste. Go there once a week. Their chicken kebab wrap is a staple item in our house.

I went to tandoori host a few days ago and I had a lovely time there. The cashier recommended their chana, palak gosht and nihari as they are popular items on their menu. I was delighted when I got my food everything was so delicious and the workers in the back were really sweet! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for delicous authentic pakistani food.

New owners at this place! Definitely worth checking out now. We got the puri halwa breakfast and it was SOOO delicious! Fresh and service within 5 minutes of sitting down. 10/10 recommend. If you went to this place more than 2 months ago then give it another try, you'll definitely become a regular customer

Our experience at the Tandoori Host was absolutely amazing. The food was very delicious and the taste was authentic. We ordered Chana masala, which I think was the best I have ever tried. The Paya was very well done. We also ordered their Haleem, again, the best! The service was quick and timely. All staff members treatment me like their own. The seating area was clean and was very well managed. Overall, 10/10 will visit again, InshAllah!

Good food but horrible customer service. We booked a family event, they rushed us to finish from the gecko and told us to leave after about 15 minutes of getting served our food. Would only recommend take out.

Went for an early morning halwa poori breakfast with friends. Great food with channa salan like I've never tasted before. The pooris were not too oily. Would definitely go back again!

I just order naan and uncle gave me NIHARI to try it too.and no doubt it was really tasty.thanks.would love to come back

We went to this restaurant and the food we tried, butter chicken, naan and chickpeas were very good.

Booked breakfast for 20 people, right when we walked in the tables were not ready, the owner walked out from the back and said to his staff “let’s serve them quickly and get them out”. We had family coming so we couldn’t go anywhere else. The owner was rude, disrespectful, when we got our tea he proceeded to try to get us out so he can get his tables ready for more customers. Terrible service, never have we been to a place where we were treated this way. Never going back, would not recommend to anyone.

Best service provided. It is a nice family restaurant to enjoy some really good halwa Poori. Tuba is a great server! Ask for her when you are there. Their old chef also came back and their old unique taste is also back! Highly recommended place for good food.

I came to Tandoori Host first time and the food was amazing and the chef made everything fresh.
Also the price was very reasonable

Terrible experience, these guys made me wait a whole hour and then cancelled my order at the very last second when i was supposed to receive it shortly. Untrained staff, they keep taking orders even when the store is closed. Garbage experience! Wasted all of my time, most trash customer service. They just cancelled, why even accept my order in the 1st place or why not notify me of order cancellation ahead of time? ! Now it will take some business days for me to get my refund. Not good at all!

Decided to go to this restaurant amongst the bunch in the plaza to grab a quick lunch. It was a group of 6 of us and it started with them not having gol gappay. The lady mentioned there was a new chef that for a particular reason could not make any of the appetizers.

We all decided on chicken tikka wraps instead. They took a very long time to come which was surprising and frustrating as we wanted a quick lunch. When our food arrived some of us noticed that in our wraps there was barely any chicken. Originally we thought it was just 1 or 2 wraps with no chicken but it all 6. We thought the restaurant may have just had a bad day so we problem solved and told the lady about the situation and requested some extra chicken.

The lady walks away and came back to tell us the chef stated that this is the portion size of chicken they put in each wrap and we cannot get more chicken unless we buy extra. I would say if you truly want a chicken wrap and not lettuce and bread to stray away from this restaurant and check out the ones in surrounding areas. Maybe they can use some of the criticism constructively and change their portion size to something more reasonable.

Don't order on Uber eats they will be cheap and send you 1 box instead of 3 of food. I ordered 3 Halwa Poori and they sent only 1 container of Chana.

The guy (owner) taking our order over the phone was very rude, ie abrupt, hung up without saying “bye”, didn’t give ETA or order total. But the the food is okay and portion sizes are good. We typically get take out from Tandoori Time (same plaza) but made a mix up today. Needless to say, I won’t be returning to Tandoori Host (on purpose).

SIDE NOTE: Tandoori HOST used to be our “go to” but then it changed ownership in 2018/2019 and the experience went downhill. Hence why we switched to Tandoori Time and have been happy since

Worst food ever, they put regular chicken curry in Biryani rice don't even try save your money.

Excellent taste of chicken biryani and chana Masala along with small sized Salad. Fully satisfied with price. Loved it. 3 for customer service 5 for taste of the food. Did not pickup the call and did not respond properly in front.
