Tandoori Plus North Bay

I wish this place was open all day long. Kindest set of people I have come across where they handle my food needs with utmost care. Also, thank you for the new year freebies!

Last minute indecision of where to eat led us to try somewhere new and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere makes you question your decision at first but the food and the hospitality of the owner make you forget about that pretty quick. We did the Pakistani dinner for 2 which gave us a nice variety of their dishes. The flavours were amazing and the quantity was perfect. We will definitely be going back.

Such a nice food. We came for a day and tried the food. It was so awesome. It made us come back for more. Such a loveable delicious food. Will definitely prefer to come visit.

Best restaurant in town, would love to come back, amazing customer service and taste would recommend there food to everyone. Family friendly, clean place, amazing taste.

Highly recommend this place for anyone in town or stopping by. Food was great and service was fantastic. Owner really knows to make you feel welcomed.

We were visiting NorthBay with friends and end up eating at Tandoori Plus. Owner made every effort to cook meals to our liking. We had a very good evening eating authentic Punjabi food. I would recommend this place for eating spicy Punjabi food.but go there with open mind.as in winter time this is not a happening place!

10/10 for running Halal restaurants with not much profitable market. Owner and staff very friendly 10/10. Tried Noodles considering Northern Ontario 7/10. Did visited again, samaso was good.

First time trying and not happy at all. We didn't get the pop or salad that we were supposed to get with our order. The pakora was burnt, samosa was over cooked and very small, the butter chicken was bland like it was dumped in a can of tomato soup. For the money we spent, super disappointed!

I can totally say that when i cooked for the first time in my life was better than this. I ordered paneer and all i got the gravy full of water, salt less. I also ordered butter chicken and again all i was testing water with butter. I don’t know how this restaurant got even 3.5. They should really consider different chef.
They will tell you that this container can only be eaten by one. But you can see! And because of that I ordered more than i want and all was taste. Not even worth taking out.

Great portions, delicious authentic meal. Owner is a genuine and honest host that was an absolute pleasure to speak with. Fabulous food prepared fresh.

The butter chicken had the colour and consistency of tomato soup. However the worst part of the whole experience was listening to the misogynistic owner talk about how women need to be submissive to men, if a man is hungry, his wife should make him food or he'll find another woman who will, etc. Literally the first time meeting this guy and trying the food and he goes on a huge misogynistic rant. Only go here if you like horrible butter chicken and support misogyny.

This is the second time ordering from this place. It wasn’t good the first time but I figured maybe they were having a bad day and that this time would be different. I was wrong. Every dish I ordered was bad. Spent 75$ on food we can’t eat. Never again. What a waste of money: (

North Bay you are hidding this gem of a restaurant. Down to earth and authentic cuisine. Prepared with pride, I can tell I've been in the restaurant industry for 20+ years.

My take out butter chicken with rice is fabulous tonight. Incredibly tasty with just the right amount of heat.

The Halal place in North Bay. Owner, Shahid, was very courteous and food was tasty. A must place to visit if you are Indian/Pakistani food lover.

Food was amazing, was delivered very quickly and the portions were perfect! Can’t wait to order again!

TL; DR An absolute culinary disaster, a slap in the face to Chinese food. Food so bad for the same price as quality food. I'm highly disappointed.

You shouldn't be serving Chinese food, please stop this non-sense. This food is disgusting and hopefully by your own standards even you would agree. If you don't then you need to take a trip to Chopsticks and take note of the vast difference in food quality. Anybody who eats at TandooriPlus I am confident they will never return and I'm sure your books reflect that. This is the first time in my life I actually want my money back from a restaurant because I feel cheated.

I didn't even get authentic egg rolls, these are actually the innards of what tasted like a boxed frozen spring roll, mushy, overcooked and tasteless wrapped in the shell of what isn't even an "egg roll" shell, it's closer to a pastry shell which is odd because they also sell spring rolls. Yeah, no bean sprouts here. It tasted like it was reheated. You should not be calling this an egg roll, call it what it is: a lie. Not only that but they were placed inside only a paper bag with no outer wrapping. You know what happens when oil hits paper? It creates holes and things fall out. Use some common sense.

The sesame chicken had 10 tiny popcorn sized pieces of mushy breaded chicken and the rest of it, more than the actual chicken, were carrot, onion and green pepper. I only wanted chicken and the menu did not say it came with anything else: it specifically says "sesame chicken". Bland. I expected hefty slabs of crispy fried chicken. The sesame seeds weren't even sprinkled on the chicken, they were sprinkled on the damn carrots, all 20 seeds. Did I order sesame carrots? The red sauce was flat and tasted like it was sitting for days.

The lo mein was awful. It was cooked fine but you managed to use so much soya sauce that it's coloured nearly as dark as soya sauce and all over. People cannot consume this much salt without becoming sick, you need to use soya sauce with much more care. The beef tasted refrigerated, it had that distinct reheated beef flavour. It was dry and had no sauce, not that it would've saved it. You told me on the phone you would add mixed vegetables for an extra $3.99 because it's not on the menu. There are *no mixed vegetables* in this lo mein. Thanks for that extra charge, we even tipped you, that was my mistake.

The fukami rice was so bad. The rice was highly overcooked to the point it were inflated and mushy. The scallops tasted fishy and rubbery. The crab I couldn't even identify. Everything bland and the rice itself tasted fishy. The whole dish had some kind of awful brown sauce throughout.

None of these ingredients were fresh. You cannot take buffet food that was sitting and bring it back to life by dousing it in soya, you seem to think people don't notice. The portions are so underwhelming I'm confused whether I bought the wrong dish and you definitely scammed me with the sesame chicken. You can't honestly tell me that this is what you eat like when you order take out.

Not only will I not be back, I have a new reference for the worst food I've ever eaten. If you want success and repeat customers then drastically reduce your menu and become very good at only 10 dishes. Dipping your toe into three cultures is not for you. If you've been at this for four years I cannot imagine the incredible debt you must be in. Shape up or ship out.

Ordered dinner via SkipTheDishes and did not receive the right items. We got 2 orders of butter chicken but unfortunately received some type of soupy sweet and sour dish that did not resemble or taste anything like butter chicken. We contacted SkipTheDishes for refund as it was inedible but we were turned down so we are stuck with the $100 bill and inedible pink chicken/ soup.

The food was plain tasting and I did not get the rice I paid for. I won’t be purchasing from this restaurant again.

This is hands down the best indian food ive had the pleasure of tasting in north bay, traditional, quality food, and sizeable portions. Cant say enough good about the experience eating from this establishment.

This was the worst so called Asian food I have ever had. I would not feed the homeless with this stuff. All the meat dish had 2 or 3 little pieces of so called meat. My wife and I both were sick all night long. I had the wonton soup and I think it went bad because the meat tasted rotten. If you want to eat there good luck to you.

Really disappointing quality food.

Got an aloo matar and a chana masala, both were extremely bland and disappointing. The Chana was basically very oily chickpeas with no trace of tomatoes, onion, or anything. It was like oil with spices thrown in, and not even cooked long enough to let the flavour sink into the chickpea.

The aloo matar was very bland also, with peas that looked like they had been in the fridge for a few days straight out of the container. In both dishes the potato were large chunks that looked like they were baked for another dish and lazily thrown in after the fact.

Overall I'm extremely dissatisfied and won't return. This will be the first Indian takeout that I've thrown out my leftovers rather than eating over the coming few days.

I’m confident the food here poisoned me. We ordered food from here last night. Bad, bad, bad I won’t be back. Every single item was not cooked properly. I’m not sure how long they will survive; everything was terrible. Avoid at all cost.

I ordered chilli chicken anticipating that the dish would mostly consist of chicken. Instead I received vegetables in gravy. I don’t recall ordering chilli carrot.

The take-out order took a bit long, but the food was excellent. Will definitely eat there again.

Very good Pakistani/Indian food! I had a delicious beef curry dinner. The food was great, and the service was fantastic! Highly recommend

Orders a few things.took longer then was stated. Order beef with vegetable almond.got home to find no beef. Happend with the kunpow chicken and the chow mein

Not the best Indian food in North Bay On not nearly as good as Indras Curry house. They make homemade mango chutney which is delicious. Tandorri plus is like a cafeteria, help yourself with tacky decor. I would not waste my money. If I want good Indian food I order from Indras pay more get better quality food. Did not like the food at Tandorri at all

Was driving through North Bay and stopped for dinner as other Indian Restaurant was closed at the time. I never had worse Indian/Pakistani food than this restaurant and prices for food should be 1/4 based on quality. Tandoori Chicken felt like its few days old, without eating I could tell that its not fresh. Even a kid can make better rice than what had. Will never recommend this restaurant and will never ever go there in future. Waste of time/money.

Great food, friendly, but could really use some paint and decor help. It feels a bit slapped together, but hey, baby steps. Owner was so friendly, and the food was delicious!

The food is amazing and the chef/owner was great with us. With his recommendations, I felt comfortable trying something new. Will definitely return. We had lamb curry, Tika masala chicken, and tried the veggie samosa and the meat samosas, excellent!

Girlfriend and I loved the Pakistani dishes; could compete with the best down south. The halwa was amazing.

We were just passing in North Bay and looking for an indian cuisine restaurant. We had chana masala, tarka dhal, shrimp curry with rice and naans and all dishes where flavorful and delicious. I am glad we have some leftovers.

I keep coming back for the Tarka Dahl. It is a excellent! The Chana Masala is a delight too.
One order of take out with the delicious rice is enough for several meals. Shahid puts real care into the good food he cooks.

Went in with 20 $ and said I was very hungry. He asked what flavours I like a gave me a huge bag of excellent food to go. Included a free samosas! Support this buisness

Delicious food, the dishes were seasoned and cooked very well. Loved the Biryani, simply amazing. I hope this restaurant will intrigue other customers who wish to eat good asian (Chinese/Indian) cuisine.

Delicious Pakistani food. Also added Chinese and Thai but Indian is the speciality. Always make a point to go whenever I am in North Bay
