Tansley Woods Veterinary Hospital

Most of the time when I came into this clinic in the past, the staff were always very kind and polite. However, when I came in after removing a tick from my dog and needing further help to remove the antenna, I was told that they were going to leave the antenna in his body, not remove it and give him antibiotics instead. I was not okay with this treatment plan. I insisted that they needed to remove the antenna but was refused help. I ended up leaving the clinic and I don’t want to go back now. So disappointed. I ended up treating my dog myself. I shouldn’t have had to do that.

I would hope that in the future, that this clinic would not refuse someone help like that. I was so angry and disappointed to be refused help. I couldn’t believe that they wanted to just leave that possibly infected object inside him and just treat him with blanket antibiotics. That could have made him really sick.

Sometimes we just need to trust our instincts and advocate for our pets. My dog Sparky is doing very well now, thank goodness.

The staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable. We have a reactive dog but he is well taken care of and feels comfortable here. We really appreciate the compassion of every staff member here.

Only after switching vets did I realize how poor the service at tansley woods actually is. They pumped my puppy with antibiotics and didn’t even examine her for some of the prescriptions, and was also told she might have to take them her while life. She was also given anti-inflammatories for an issue they couldn’t seem to figure out. The amount of tests I was told to take for a “UTI” was absurd (and not cheap) - when that in fact wasn’t even the issue upon getting a 2nd opinion. There was also a significant period of time where they lost my dog’s medical records and could not access past treatments or medications. Since switching vets all of my dogs health concerns have been properly addressed and she is doing really well and doesn’t require any medications. So it was just all around a terrible experience. Save yourself the frustration and take your pet to a proper vet. Like another person said, I wish I could give no stars.

I spent 300 dollars and actually received care for my puppy. The doctor did not take all my money for unecessary reasons. I have been to vets i have spent 700 dollars for shots bloodwork and an xray and I came in there to discuss a whole other problem my puppy was having. I will only use your vet hospital at this point.thank you for not robbing me

I just came across this place and I gotta say I'm so glad i switched vet's! Dr. Petrowski dealt with my dog and I knew he was in good hands giving his experience. This clinic is a different atmosphere compared to my old one, all the Staff seem like they genuinely care about my dog and I absolutely love that! I highly recommend them and I found my new Vet

I brought my little Lucy in for an appointment a couple of weeks ago because she wasn’t eating. Dr. Charly was amazing and handled my typically anxious cat with such incredible care. The receptionist and animal assistant were amazing as well! We were the last appointment of the day, yet the staff took their time and we did not feel rushed at all. Lucy is feeling as good as new. Thank you the staff at Tansley Woods vet!

The time came for us to say goodbye to our cavalier Daisy.

The staff are always friendly. Also, when I was dealing with my dog’s high anxiety issues Dr. Petrowski was always available to discuss what steps to take regarding medication. She is coming along nicely.

Dr. Patrick Petrowski, quite simply put, is an excellent vet. He has all the qualities of a great veterinarian that anyone could hope for. I base this on my experience gained from meeting with many different veterinarians on our family farm and more recently working for a thoroughbred breeder. Dr. Petrowski is compassionate, has a sense of humour and most importantly is able to explain veterinary issues related to your pets health issues in an easily understandable way. I have recommended Tansley Woods Veterinary Hospital, specifically Dr. Petrowski, several times since bringing our pet cat to Tansley Woods in 2015.

Tansley Woods Veterinary Hospital are a kind, knowledgeable group of professionals who have taken incredible care of my dogs and cats after we moved to Burlington. Finding a vet was like finding a family doctor; daunting at best! I feel so fortunate to have found Tansley Woods and would recommend them with every superlative I know.

5-stars are not enough to rate this vet! The overall experience is just such a pleasure, making vet visits for both me and my furbabies very pleasant! Dr Hallina El-Ghazawi is an absolute dream veterinarian - she is so patient, so attentive, so kind and very knowledgeable. She didn’t mind getting on her knees to do a physical evaluation for my furbaby and was so patient with him (we even managed to get him to lie still on his side for three exam, which he never does as he really doesn’t enjoy vet visits and presents as quite nervous). What was also very relieving was the fact that we weren’t pushed to pursue expensive investigations for diagnostics like x-rays unless her recommendations, which were far less extreme, didn’t work after a few days - an absolute sigh of relief for any pet parent! As an extremely protective dog-mom who has done her research, trust me on this, there is not a better vet in town! We’ve been to 3 vets in the Oakville/ Burlington area - they don’t even come close to Tansley Woods! I have found our vet!

Amazing people with a positive outlook on things to help me when nobody else would their service was dynamite and they really care about animals they went the extra mile for me and I certainly would recommend them to anybody else in the area

Very attentive and caring team. They have given great service to my puppy and made sure I was fully in the loop. As a first time puppy mom, this was very reassuring and I have full confidence trusting them with my pup.

My cat urgently needed to see a vet on the morning of May 19. Even though it was their first day open in 6 weeks they were able to see my cat promptly and address the problem quickly and effectively.
