Tao Northern Chinese Cuisine

I bought a lunch special " Hakka style noodles and shrimp" to go.and I am unimpressed. First the hike up the price since i last bought it by an extra $3. They reduced the portion of the soup to a smaller container. The Spring roll is smaller too. I only got literally 2 pieces of Shrimp with my noodles. The dish generally is soaked with hot sauce and I cant taste anything else. The lady staff was nice but the food was terrible. For a $16 lunch special, they should improve the quality of the food.

The fish had so much sugar that it was totally unbeatable.
They gave the wrong order and the food was one of the worse I’ve eaten for a long time.

Worst experience ever, even the manager was rude and got my order wrong, didn’t even give back my money.

Ordered on uber eats and I've never received such small portions for the price. I ordered 4 items for $80 not including fees or tax and it only fed 2 people. 3 out of 4 items were decent quality.

We’ve ordered delivery from here a few times and have always liked it. We particularly like the chicken wings, noodles with beansprouts and the general Tso chicken. Black bean beef is a little underwhelming in terms of flavour so I’d give that a pass.

The Chicken Spring Rolls were next to grace our table; their golden, crispy exteriors revealing a delectable filling that married the playful textures of perfectly seasoned chicken with the earthy crunch of fresh vegetables.

Tao's Chicken Fried Rice danced on our palates, a whirlwind of flavors that united smoky, caramelized notes with the tangy sweetness of pineapple. The Lemon Chicken was a true masterpiece, as if Da Vinci himself had crafted the dish. Tender, succulent pieces of chicken were lightly battered, then bathed in a vibrant lemon sauce that dazzled the senses with its perfect balance of sweetness and acidity.

The Pepper Beef left us utterly speechless, with its tender morsels of beef that melted in our mouths, juxtaposed against the fiery heat of black pepper and the delicate sweetness of caramelized onions. The Assorted Seafood & Vegetables was a delightful marine medley, harmoniously combining the briny freshness of the ocean with the natural sweetness of colorful, crisp veggies.

As for the Chicken Singapore Vermicelli, it was a tantalizing fusion of textures and flavors, each strand of vermicelli expertly coated in a fragrant curry sauce that bewitched the senses.

Our adventure culminated in the sinfully delicious Deep Fried Bananas with Vanilla Ice Cream and strawberries. The bananas, enrobed in a feather-light batter and fried to crispy perfection, were the perfect accompaniment to the creamy, velvety ice cream, while the vibrant strawberries added a dash of color and tang to the exquisite dessert.

Throughout our epicurean escapade, we were guided by the ever-charming Lambert, whose genuine warmth and attentiveness elevated our dining experience to celestial heights. The ever-vigilant Manager Jackie ensured that every detail of our evening unfolded seamlessly, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the culinary wonderland that is Tao Northern Chinese Cuisine.

The Ambiance is welcoming and charming. A great place to dine in. Staffs were polite as we went to eat there nearly closing time but still they made sure that everything is fine.

Usually order takeout from here which is consistently delicious.
This time we dined at the restaurant.
Everything was super tasty and the server was very attentive.
We ordered general tao chicken, sweet and sour shrimp, Shanghai noodles, rice, chilli cashew eggplant.

I ordered here first on Uber. I got the Shanghai noodles and general Tao chicken. It was so good me and my boyfriend decided to go in person next time. We tried some drinks and a couple other items from the menu, everything tasted so good, and service was great too. The waitress was prompt and checked in to make sure everything was perfect. This is my new favourite restaurant. 10/10 recommend.

We ordered from here using Uber Eats. We were given someone else's order. I phoned the restaurant and they said my order was still there on the counter, and that it was Uber's fault and I needed to complain to Uber. They said I could come get my food. Despite the annoyance, I went and got my food. Once at the restaurant, I noticed that two employees of the restaurant were overseeing the pick-up of orders by delivery drivers. Two employees of the restaurant are responsible for handing off deliveries to drivers and they have the audacity to blame the delivery driver, and then to inconvenience a client! The food was mediocre, very bland and not worth the effort we ended up having to go to. Zero customer service, shady excuses, and bland food. Enjoy.

Tried this spot as it’s close by and we were hoping to satisfy our dumpling craving. We tried the Xiao Long Bao (pork soup dumplings), steamed chicken dumplings, steamed pork & chive dumplings, and pan fried pork buns.

We felt satisfied with the amount we ordered due to the small sizes of the dumplings and we found the flavours to be quite fresh.

Our favourite dish was the pork bun- it was so warm, the filling was delicious, flavourful and fresh.

The dumplings we found to be just okay. All in all, we spent $40, which I think is definitely a little pricier than other dumpling options relative to quality. The soup dumplings were not comparable to others I’ve had - they were mediocre and just didn’t get the job done in my opinion. As well, we found the wrapping of the dumplings to be quite thick. I don’t think that we would order dumplings from this spot again; however seeing the reviews others have left, I’m definitely open to trying other dishes here.

The staff were very pleasant and friendly, and our order was ready in 15 minutes- quick and prompt!

Personally, the xiaolongbao is legit. The food was delicious. The staff was also very kind and attentive. Price is reasonable.

This place started getting me into Chinese cuisine, super tasty and has a variety of flavours! The Pork Dumplings are so much nicer than any of the other I’ve eaten

Also the owners have really cute kids that come around every now and then?

We tried the lunch menu and the food was a bit underwhelming, think a fast food place on the food court quality. The prices are reasonable though and the lunch combos include a choice of meat, soup, spring roll and rice. The service was good, so it is ok for what it is. If you are in the area and you want a quick Chinese meal, it is not too bad.
