Exorbitant prices for regular stuff you can buy elsewhere. They don’t even understand how tax works. I returned a product and kept trying to explain to them that they need to refund me the tax too but she insisted that tax paid is gone and you can’t get it back smh. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else

I bought a steamer pot here, on the box wrote 30 cm but when I opened it, it is 28 cm and I paid $5 extra for it. If you buy anything in box from them, open it in store before they tricked you like they did to me.

I have contacted them on IG to resolve the issue, waiting to hear back. I will change the review if they would bring a fair resolution.

This epic culinary supplier deserves serious time to peruse their vast inventory of hospitality products of both residential and commercial scope. Prices range from bargain to premium. I'm glad I had an appointment to take me away before I could do much impulse shopping damage.

Amazing selection of plates, cups, kitchen tools. It’s jammed full and tight aisles but literally everything you could need in a kitchen can be found here. Parking along street front is easy. Staff seems to be very helpful. Pots, pans, utensils, containers, knives, whatever. If it should be in a restaurant kitchen, these people have it. Prices are better than what you’ll find online. Same products are on Amazon but 30% cheaper here. Great store

Tap Phong is my go to place whenever I need to buy kitchen ware. I bought a terrific carbon steel wok here recently and the quality is fantastic! The customer service is very helpful and ready to give recommendations and suggestions if you're looking for something specific. It's also just a great place to browse through because you never know what neat things you're going to find.

There is literally nothing related to cooking and kitchen that you cannot find here. There are rows and rows of multiple options for every kitchen item. You will find things you have never seen before. Just waking in aisled and watching is a lot of fun!

Lots of interesting items in the store and you will probably find something to purchase every visit.

Only thing I would add is that if you speak Cantonese and/or Vietnamese.some of the exchange between the staff via the PA system is quite hard to hear. It felt very stressful listening to the constant yelling while trying to navigate around a very crowded store.

I have been going to Tap Phong Trading Co.for years and years! Before the pandemic just could not get there for certain items I knew I would need in my new kitchen. Now I have purchased my list and decided when there dishes for 6 (not 4 or 8!) where also needed. So much choice I love it. Was able to get them to package in smaller bundles due to using a cane and carrying things a bit hard so I was happy about that. Now waiting for my first Post Pandemic dinner party! Great place to buy both commercial and home cookwear and supplies. The store is very big, if you can't find what you're looking for, make sure you ask! Some of the specialty products they carry are the Iwanti professional torch. Social distancing measures in effect.

I've always considered tap phong the go to place for Asian cooking hardware, utensils, and cutlery. However, my quest for a simple flat bottom carbon steel wok was a disappointment. They stock the genuine round bottom industrial cooking woks (restaurant grade, gas powered) but that is about as far as it goes. In the end, I ordered from amazon.ca.it's still a great place, but not for a simple consumer grade carbon steel wok.

This place is a zoo. They have all the things. ALL THE THINGS. The quality of their products range drastically, so really make sure you're buying smart. Prices vary but are usually a good deal.

Yes the aisles are narrow and crowded and if you're a barrel of a human, like me, you will brush up against other people a lot. That being said, it's a great store for kitchen supplies with prices that are fairly competitive. I've bought cambros, racks, squeeze bottles, spray bottles, tongs, spatulas, peelers, sheet trays, microplanes, bench scrapers, ladels, etc. It's definitely worth checking out if you need, or just like to look at kitchen supplies.
