I'm at a loss of words.
Beyond unprofessional & rude!
The maitre d & middle aged woman that answers the phone is completely impatient & grouchy not to mention easily distracted & it feels like she'd rather not be employed because she would rather talk on her cellphone in their native language & yell in her native language to whomever is in the kitchen then actually take the time to actually listen to your order which is probably why they get it wrong & then act like you're to blame.
The atmosphere is unsettling & only delivery or take out available & don't rely on their delivery personnel.
The food USE TO BE quite a tasty treat to indulge in but NOW literally goes in the because it's so unedible!
& they rudely refuse to correct THEIR mistakes or refund you.
(I literally disputed the charge to my CC & left the food sitting outside her door!)
& her only opinion on this was to tell me to go ahead & make an online review because she would just tell everything back the "truth" Umm, so here I am just like you told me to do,
By all means enlighten me & anyone else whom may be reading this (I feel sorry for anyone that did) & tell us what you feel the "truth" is.
Based off several other complaints I've seen I'm only guessing that I'm "lying" like any&everyone else whom is a supposed "liar" & has a low review opinion of you posted when like me, as a community we're just trying to raise awareness of our personal experiences having the misfortune of ordering food from your establishment.
BTW, I THINK YOUR RESPONSES TO POSTS LIKE MINE ON HERE SPEAK VOLUMES ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE REALLY LIKE

Furthermore,
Your lunch menu doesn't have any time frames or days of the week listed ANYWHERE so maybe my lunch is at 11AM some days & closer to 230PM others.
I feel you should still honor the prices instead of telling me I'll have to order from the full price menu at 2PM
(photos included of the menu along with the food order you got wrong & refused to correct or refund & the PROOF it was left outside your door since you wouldn't pick it back up even though you demanded it be returned along with my CC dispute against you that Visa approved)

Sadly Taste Of China is nowhere near what it used to be. Greasy chicken balls. Greasy egg rolls. Overloaded with sauce noodles. Unfriendly service. This used to be our favorite Chinese food restaurant in Woodstock. But now after a 2nd chance in less than a month and having the same results we will be taking our business elsewhere.

This Chinese restaurant is an absolute gem! The staff is incredibly friendly and delightful to converse with. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for anyone seeking a fantastic experience!

Very nice people always getting extra chicken balls in place of sesame chicken.large portions made fresh I like the dinner for one that will feed two people and the spring rolls tasty tasty.

Best Chinese in town, hands down. The service is always outstanding: quick, efficient, and always very pleasant.
Chicken balls have a lot more meat than dough, and every dish I’ve had is very flavourful. The egg rolls are probably the best I’ve had, and the spring rolls are huge and delicious!
A must-try for anyone who hasn’t been!

Taste of China is by far the best Chinese food around!
The food is always very fresh, way more meat than dough in their chicken balls, the portions are quite generous, and the service is never less than outstanding.
Would recommend to anyone that enjoys Canadian Chinese food, it’s a Woodstock must-try!

We absolutely love Taste of China. It's a great price, you get a tonne of food and there's always lots of sauce. We absolutely love Taste of China!

The best food, it’s been a while I liked Chinese and at taste of china I feel happy and satisfied. Must try - loved Szechuan beef lunch combo and chicken Szechuan combo. They are yummmm

1. They gave me the wrong order. It wasn’t until I got home that I realized it was wrong. Turned out someone else had my order, and and I had another person’s… some slack for Valentine’s Day rush but that was really bad.
2. Food itself was barely decent. Chicken fried rice was dry and flavourless, Shanghai noodles were very dull, sesame chicken was fine, dumplings were good, and the pork cabbage was not real Szechuan

No reason to go back again

BEWARE Beyond Disappointed. I ordered for an 8: 30 delivery HOURS prior. They did show up on time but the customer service on the phone was horrible.

I ordered 2 wonton soups, combo 3 (sweet and sour chicken balls & sweet and sour shrimps with chicken fried rice and spring roll)
And coconut chicken.

First of all, they forgot the sweet and sour sauce for my husband combo & the rice was hard? The breaded shrimp & chicken balls were not bad but would have been nice to have the sweet and sour sauce for them… Never in my life have I received undercooked fried rice lol

The coconut chicken was drowning in a sugary like coconut flavoured syrup that looked very questionable and the “chicken” was hard as a rock & basically all breading.

The wonton soups were beyond salty and tasted like nothing. The meat in the wontons tasted off. I used to love their wonton soup and the crunchy pieces they used to put in them. Not anymore….

$47 including delivery. Tried to call and nobody would pick up. Customer service is terrible. Very disappointed. Not like it was 6 years ago when I was a REGULAR.
This was my favourite place to eat in Woodstock when I was in college. I Was excited to order from here as I’m in town for the weekend. Very disappointed.
1 star would be a compliment.
Wish I could send it all back and get a refund. Too bad they won’t pick up the phone.

Hands down my favorite place for Chinese. I've been ordering from here for about 4 years. Good portions, made exactly how I request it

Horrible customer service, lady was rude on the phone, deliberately ignored and did not assist when trying to ask about combos. Food is overpriced, nothing special. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.

This was our first time ordering and we will be back. The chicken balls were not over battered, there was a good quantity of beef in the beef and broccoli, the pineapple shrimp was full sized shrimp. Both the egg rolls and spring rolls were delicious. We had it delivered and the young man was polite and friendly. Can't wait for round two in an hour.

Tonight we order and we were told ONE HOUR for pickup, TWO HOURS LATER we are still waiting for our order. Never again, I understand if you are busy but be honest and tell us what the wait time will be.

After pre-ordering meal 2.5 hrs in advance upon arrival the food was no where to be ready and I was told to come back. After waiting for over 3.5 hrs at this point the food was mediocre. It’s a shame because I really wanted to love this restaurant and have it as my go to for Chinese food. Disappointed!

We used to love it there but twice now we have had this happen the last time we waited an hour and a half and no food. This time I placed our order at 4: 39 and it's now 6: 24 and still no delivery and when I try to call and see where my order is I get a automated voice that says they have not set up their voice mail system yet goodbye. Very disappointed and won't be ordering from here again.

Best chicken balls ever, generous portion sizes and very friendly staff. This is the only place we order from anymore.

Very good food but unfortunately they missed one item and also they gave the sweet and sour chicken while I ordered the spicy one
