Tried other Chinese food take out places over the years - Hakka is definitely better then any in the area

Amazing Hakka (Indian and Chinese fusion), always tastey and the team there is very friendly. No dine in option after COVID.

Rude customer service— asked for no onions, when I went to pick up my order I confirmed once again and was rudely told by the lady at the front “yes you see the list”? Got home and food had onions in it. Food quality was also not the best and everything tasted the same.

Popped in for a quick lunch as I was craving Hakka noodles. The lunch special was great value and received a good portion of food. The chicken and noodles were well seasoning and not dry. Only downside is that there is no seating inside so your stuck eating elsewhere.

Ordered a party tray of vegetables and fried rice for a party. Everyone was disappointed with the quality of this place. The tray of vegetables barely had any broccolis, mainly onions and bell papers, the cheaper vegetables. The tray of fried rice was so dry. Just look at the images and you'll have an idea.

This place offers only takeout. Their service is quick as we got the food under 20 mins of ordering. The food is just ok, slightly under salted but they have decent portion size.

I have ordered from here many times before. Food is reasonably good. Pricing for lunch menu is very good. Service used to be good as well. Two things that get to me almost every time: First, they do charge an extra $1.5, if you want your items even medium spicy. And they don’t mention this to you; you won’t even know unless you are checking the bill. This feels like cheating. Second, they charge for even a pouch of chilli-vinegar, which is very standard in all Hakka restaurants. I took 4 items, got billed $65 and they gave me 2 small vinegars. They said to me it would cost extra if I want more. I think its fair to expect at-least one per item.

I’ve ordered from this place a handful of times. The food is consistently good, and for the lunch specials, there is good value for money. The service is fine, not outstanding but fine.

The atmosphere is questionable, it feels like a storage unit. I didn’t visit pre-COVID, but it seems like they once provided indoor dining, closed the dining area for COVID and never reopened it, but never cleaned it out either. Very odd first impression walking in.

Asked for NO EGG and still got egg after we were told it would have no egg. This was a dietary preference but we could have had allergies.

False Advertising** Menu clearly says the lunch special comes with a soup but most times when you call and order they say they ran out of soup. You're a restaurant I'm pretty sure you have to cook fresh meals often. Used to come here often for over 7 years, lately the service and food quality have dropped.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Chef Lee and his wife Paulina for this amazing food I ordered last evening. Must say as a chef myself I am quite picky for the food and the restaurants where I order from.it’s been a while since I gave a 10 on 10 to someone.
Hats off to the team “Taste of Hakka”.
I enjoyed every bite of my diner last evening. I truly feel that they understand the real essence and the flavours behind this fusion cuisine. Let me tell everyone on this forum that their roots are form the this unique community form the city of Kolkata, India - The birth place of the Indian (Hakka) Chinese cuisine.

Ps: To all Indians don’t shy away to get your food little customised as per your spice levels as Paulina is a very kind and warm hearted person she would happily get your food prepared the way u like it.

Worst customer service, first they prepared bad soup then after tasting it I requested them to change it and they said i have to pay again for it to make them right/the way it suppose to be.

This is Indian Chinese fashion taste Chinese joint with take out only option. We order 1 plate of spring rolls, one luch combo of Veg manchurian Gravy and hakka noodles and drink and 1 lunch bowl combo of egg fried rice, chicken soup and Gravy hakka paneer. The food is very reasonably priced with great portion sizes and quick service. Definitely recommend for someone looking for Indian Chinese taste.

It is just an ok place to try. All other places I always had Bombay chicken dry by default but here it comes with gravy ($1 additional if we want dry). The hakka noodle was tasting plain. Chilli fish was better and fried rice was ok. Lunch special comes with soup but that was not of my taste.

I’m a regular customer at Hakka and I truly love their food. There just happens to be one situation that occurred with the food I ordered and it was not resolved. Last Sunday my husband ordered a few of the things and the “chilli Chicken “. We ate it as a family and then during the meal we noticed the chicken was “raw”. It was definitely uncooked and pink. We didn’t get the chance to call back on the same day, of course I wanted to call the next but Monday they are closed. So I ended up calling on Tuesday. When I called about my concern, I didn’t want anything out of it, just maybe an apology or something but I was told I cannot complain because I did not call back on the same day. They kept repeating that the chicken we cook is fresh and so on.but if I’m a regular customer that is concern about having my family and I eat “ RAW CHICKEN”
there has to be some proper response back. They took down my phone number and name for a call back to speak to management but they have not called about my concern.
This was very scary because eating raw chicken is very dangerous.lucky no one of my family ended up in the hospital.

Customer service is very bad and very rude. I pay 70 dollars for my dinner. While I ordered through the phone I mentioned that I need the green chill source and when I went to picked it up also asked did you put the source. The rude lady said yes we put extra inside the bags. When I came home and open the bag I didn’t see even a single one. When I called her, she said that if you want the chilli source, u have to come here and we will give two of them. Is she going to pay my gas. Irresponsible customer service.

This place used to be a hidden Jem now its far from it.they used to have great customer service. This place fell off

I don’t know what’s happened to this place. Use to be the best hakka i referred most people to. But, i think the management changed or what happened but its a shame. Every time i order something is ALWAYS WRONG.
Who puts carrots n onions in chicken corn soup?
I found hair in the chicken so i went back n the new Indian manager says, “ we wear caps but still this happens, its only hair”.
Really? Its only hair so we should eat it?

She grossed me out. I can’t/won’t refer this restaurant to anyone.

Disgusting food! Don’t bother eating your money or time here. First of all, they had a hair in their food few yrs back I went there. I gave them a 2nd chance, ordered some food that was clearly not fresh, the chicken was raw. I called them with a complaint and they were arguing we are the only customer with a complaint even if I bring back the food I will not get a refund. Clean your place! I will be contacting higher authorities to inspect their food.

Food is good and I can’t lie about that. But to order take out on the phone is absurdly difficult. I was kept on hold for 10 minutes and could hear them handle other orders in the background and when they finished with those orders, they did not pick up the phone then either. Pretty ridiculous. I only deal with this because I enjoy the food a lot.

Chicken corn soup was just as I like it. If you miss Mumbai style hakka this is the place for you.

Got the chilli chicken and chicken pakoras. The chilli chicken was watery and soggy with no taste and the pakoras was all batter and no chicken. If you want good Hakka food go elsewhere.

Ive ordered take out from this location quite a few times and probably had a spoon and fork in the bag once out of the many times. How cheap and stingy can a restaurant be when you are charging $20 for a meal but are too cheap to give plastic utensils.

Super overpriced for the quality and service.

Highly disappointed with the customer service. This will be the last time I order takeout from this place. The food quality is good, it’s only the service that really needs help. Also, the food is overpriced based on what you get. The pakora sauce which can’t cost more then 20 cents to make is being sold for $3. Even after spending $300 worth of food this month they can’t throw in a 20 cent sauce. I am very disappointed. I hope 20 cents is worth loosing a valuable customer for 15+ years. If the owner would like to contact me you know how to get in touch. This won’t be my last review. I would be happy to remove this review and others if this price gouging stops.

Can in as recommend by my friend. I was greeted very kindly by the staff. They helped me navigate the menu. There are particular flavor profiles for each dish. I like it a bit more spicy and they were very accommodating. They have lunch specials, which is what I should have ordered. Went with the hakka Shanghai noodles and the crispy ginger beef. Added szechuan chili oil to both and it was delicious. I think they are used to people asking for more spice within the ethnic community. Take out only for now. Will come back. Very tasty!
