Tasty Shawarma

Taste was good as before but very little meat now and wrap stuffed wth lettuce. Always out of meat or bread, we made numerous wasted trips all wasted due to shortage of one thing or another - turned away so many times.

Their food is excellent. I get the chicken shwarma plate with no rice and it's one of the most healthier options out there. It's a small business so you gotta support local

Prices are good, food is good. 3 star service instead of 4 because it takes almost 20 minutes to get your meal. Besides that no complaints.

I came for lunch, the food was tasty and worth the price. The guy was kind and patient enough and really fast service. If you are in rush and grab something worthy do come here.

This place used to be good. I've noticed recently that the servers are a bit rough and just want you to hurry up and order.

There's also barely any chicken within the chicken shawarma wraps!

Food is decent. However, expect the worst customer service possible, expect to wait at the counter for 10 minutes, and expect to wait an hour for your food.

They completely missed up my order. After reaching home, I found that they put everything I asked them not to.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time to do so, this place was one of the top places one year ago, it is totally the opposite now.
Not recommended for take out or delivery.

Honestly one of the worst tasting shawarma plate i have had. 1. The white sauce that is supposed to be garlic like tastes like a salad dressing. The hot sauce has an odd metallic taste. The rice tastes like expired stale rice. The chicken was dry and didn't have much flavoring. The store front itself is disgusting and really question the cleanliness of the kitchen.

Good food but service is both too slow and occasionally rude.used to be a local favourite, but overall experience has gone down since the pandemic.

The chicken was very dry, took forever to get the shawarma, definitely didn't like the fact I didn't see the toppings and couldn't choose anything, it's not your traditional shawarma place where they load your shawarma in front of you. But I do have give them credit for their prices.

Cheap food prices but they take forever to make your food. I called ahead of time and had to wait an hour and a half to get my food that was supposed to be "ready in 20"

Extremely unprofessional service. They guy put me in hold for 10 min only to tell me after 10 min that it will take 30 min to prepare the order. Could have told me right away. Wasted my time. And he had no customer service.

The main irritant was the fact that they only accept cash or debit card. My wife went inside to place the order and was told that her credit card is not acceptable. Then I had to go to make the payment. Very irritating. Food was just okay. The roti wrap was harder than anticipated.

Great place for take outs (and probably for dine ins too).

I took take out falafel and they were amongst the top 5 falafel I have ever tasted in GTA.
(Know that I lived in Middle East for over 10 years)

They have the best tasting shawarma plate I've had in Toronto. Service can be a little slow but always worth it. Their rice could be a bit more warmer, usually on the cooler side, but the taste of all the meat especially with the crispy fat bits, are amazing! The sauces they put on top are amazing as well. One time I was short $2 as they accepted only cash and not debit, but the guy gave me my food and said don't worry about it. This was very nice of him! Thank you.

Best service in the world. I have to wait 20 minutes every time I go. Don't think about it. Just buy it from the second place.

Efficient process from ordering to receiving the goods to very content Tummy. Great employees and It’s open late. We got Tasty Shawarmas for $10! While all the food cost is increasing, this place remain true to the cost, loaded with meat and veggies. What more can you ask for? This place have the right key to my taste buds. Fulfillment and Satisfaction.

Their shawarma tastes good, but for the price, they only fill with simple stuff, like lettuce tomatoes pickles and onions. Where's the pickled stuff that usually goes into a shawarma? This isn't a Subway sandwich. If the price better reflected the ingredients they put inside, it would be ok.

Need more staff at the busy time.

Bad man very bad.they prepare ur shawarma somewhere inside.u dont even know what toppings r there r if u need sauce extra or not.basically everything will be very less from meat to toppings to sauce.plz avoid

Tasty shawarma is a great for late night Uber eats and pick up. Not my favourite I can make it at home even better.

Can buy Shawarma with affordable price. However customer service is not so satisfactory. Staffs there mostly do not attend phone calls when tried to make phone orders by multiple attempts. Preparation time also very long at least 15 minutes. The bread using to make shawarma sometimes very hard to consume.

Great shawarma place that's open late. The portion sizes are pretty good (definitely smaller than Osmow's, but makes up with flavour).

Had one of the worst experiences. The food was amazing as always. I heard the restaurant has employed a few foul-mouthed South Indian staff who abuse and make fun of the customers in their native malayalam language inside the kitchen. Today I witnessed it. I could hear all the racial abuses and fun they made for the customers, since I could understand the language I knew what they were talking. Definitely the restaurant needs to train their staff for manners, customer service & abusing your own customers cannot be justified in any way.

Ordered from here for the 1st time. When I went to pick the order and was about to pay- they said cash or debit- I said I only have my credit card and that you should hav told me on the phone if you don’t accept credit - the clerk replies and tell me that I should have asked- I was like are you serious- it’s your job to tell me on the phone if you don’t take credit card. I told him what if customer is new and he doesn’t know. Then he said sorry.
2ndly I had told them to put white sauce separately with my falafel order- to my surprise when I got home- there was no sauce at all and as I was picking order I asked did you put sauce on the side - they said yes! Like seriously. What a bad experience.

Tasty has become my go to for cheap but delicious shawarma! Their food is alwaysss hot and fresh. Chicken is never too dry with the right amount of sauce and when I ask for more pickles, they go to town with the pickles! The best part is they have a two shawarma sandwich special for $10! That's unbeatableeeee

The food was little above average. Well packed & recieved the order quickly.
We ordered a chicken & beef shawarma platter over salad and a beef burger.
The burger was nice & juicy.
The shawarma platter was average.

Very Bad customer service, everytime I call to place an order they tell you to hold and never come back on the phone, this is not the 1st time, plus they are very RUDE EMPLOYEES.

These guys have the best burger sandwich that everyone needs to try.food is priced good and they put in extra effort to make it. Good work and I highly recommend.

Worsed chicken sharwarma i had pure fat in my wrap after 2 bites. Never again. I had it before and it was really good.

Used to be great. Well priced, full wraps/plates and taste great but lately, it's been disappointing. I feel like the wraps have gotten smaller and has less chicken/more lettuce, no spoons, fork or napkins in the bag, no one answers the phone, workers in the back taking their sweet time making the food while talking with each other, etc. Was good while it lasted I guess but time to find another shawarma place.

The location at Sheppard and Pharmacy is much better. This Markham Rd one is always very slow and the food is made at the back so many times I've asked for no hot sauce but they put it in anyways, and since I don't see them making it, I don't realize until I get home. They also don't allow for phone in orders so it's always at least 10-15 mins wait.

Food tastes great, however the way the place is run has killed it for me and I'll no longer be returning. I just waited 30 minutes for a shawarma plate (after being told it would only take 15 minutes, still seemingly high) to have it handed to me completely ice cold. The phones are always shut off especially later in the evening, I often try to call after work to pickup on my way home as I can't justify the crazy wait times but no one answers, and whenever I go after no answer to place an order it's not near busy enough to justify ghosting customer calls.

Ordered here for the first time. The shawarma was juicy and filled with flavour, the toppings complemented it well. And the cheeseburger was cooked perfectly and scrumptious. Hot sauce was a little off putting though. Definitely a great restaurant and one of the best shawarmas in Toronto.

The taste and price of the Shawarma is still great at this Markham location, just like the one in Scarborough.

The line and wait time is much better as well but still had to wait quite abit (about 20-30mins). They don't really answer their phone, otherwise I would have called ahead for a pick up.

Great tasting shawarma for the price your paying. Around 12 dollars for 2 big shawarma sandwiches is a great deal.

Shawarma were great bought beef and spicy chicken made to perfection and when they say ready in twenty minutes it's ready.taste wise you taste everything in it with all the tastes rolling in your mouth keep it.one note please pick your phone to take your orders

Honestly the food is actually pretty good for the price you get it at. Sometimes it take a bit of time so I would recommend to order in advance.

These guys need to change their attitude specially night staff. Food is nice but their behaviour is really disappointing.

Terrible service. I have been here more than once and EVERY TIME they take forever. It is unacceptable to wait 1 hour for a small burger no matter how busy they are. I don't know how this restaurant is still running at this point.

We get the 2 shwarma wrap deal almost every time we are in need of a quick lunch or snack. They are quite filling and tasty. For 10 bucks you can't go wrong.

Great place to eat, but takes some time for them to make your food fresh. Staff isn't that friendly but the food makes up for any shortcomings.

Customer service is so bad here that i stopped eating here. Sometime they put me on hold for over an hour and when i confront them they say they forgot about my phone. This is not once but several times. Sometimes they say the chicken is not available and then i see my co workers go and buy a chicken sandwich. Its like they do not want to sell their food to me. I hope the owner reads this.

Good shawarma. I like the beef one. Always double check your receipt and make sure your order and the receipt matched.
Common mistakes are instead of plater, a sandwich wrap is entered.

Good food but I'm not sure why they don't pick up the phone and take orders. It's frustrating and if you drive by they are not very busy with customers infront or outside. So I just go elsewhere and order. Will probably never return.

Me and my sister came to this restaurant and the only employe was on a call as soon as they saw as they went away, so me and my sister were wondering what happened to the employe, where did they go, and we here them on their phone talking to some one. We called them several times and they did not respond we weren't having it so we left. Mind you we were starving. Trouble services.

Pretty consistent with the portion size and flavour. Staff is nice and friendly.

Usually get the chicken shawarma wrap or the mixed plate. The wraps comes with a good amount of meat to veggies. Priced reasonable, can get a plate with a drink for less than 14 bucks. For this type of quantity food, definitely a weekly visit

Service over the past few months have been horrible. I understand they are probably getting overwhelmed with orders as their wait time is now 20 to 40 minutes (From the staff). Calling ahead wont help cause no one picks up the phone.

I tried calling today with no luck of ordering ahead. I went inside the store and ordered. Looked like they had 4-5 receipts ahead of me which was normal. My order still took about 30minutes. While I was waiting, you can hear the staff in the back talking and laughing. It didn't bother me but it bother other customers to the point where he went knocking on the glass asking for a update and then promptly for a refund. He ordered after me so he was probably waiting for 15 minutes.

I would not come back if I cant order ahead because the wait is pretty brutal. Wait time was never like this so it must be new staff or just they dont care anymore.

Food wise, the other reviewers are right. The chicken taste overcooked or just dry. Few pieces had the texture of mush which isn't very appetizing. Portion is still not bad.

They do NOT put any shawarma into their dinners - I just ordered had it delivered. It cost me $20.00 and theres no meat. Its all lettuce and toppings. I am not impressed at all. This is probably the first time that I have ordered shawarma at any middle eastern restaurant and received absolutely no meat.

Save your money - pathetic portion

Great front counter service. Go there almost every week on Saturdays and the lady at the front gives us great service and very friendly. Fook is OK too.

I purchased 2 chicken shawarma plates and 4 chicken shawarma plus a bottle of mango juice. THERE WAS A PIECE OF PLASTIC IN ONE OF THE SHAWARMA, it came into my son's mouth which injured his gums. Tasteless cold shawarma with poor cashier service as he forgot to put my purchased mango juice in bag. I tried calling them but line was not taking calls. Worst horrible experience, so be very very carefully as its great health hazard.

They never pick up their phone. It's a long wait when you get there. Sometimes they're out of chicken but you don't know till you get there. I hear the phone ringing in the background and them ignoring it.

I went at 12: 00am and the food was ready in 15 minutes. I got the mixed shawarma plate. The food was good, just too much lettuce and onions for me.

I have been to this place for years and recently i have noticed their service and quality of the food to the expectations. Every time i call for order they don't pickup the phone and when i go to the store they always say more than 3o min wait time, if they would have answer the phone the wait time of the customer would have reduced.but they decide not to answer the phone and keep the customer waiting.i have requested to speak to the manager and the declined. I will not be visiting this place again. I would keep informing the people I know not to visit this place. I would suggest the owner need to take some initiative to get this resolved and if he did not do anything I don't think this business will be successful

Good food, my go to meal is the mixed shawarma plate. Service is a bit slow, over all definitely recommend.

It was 7: 45pm sign said open till 12 and somehow were out of beef on a Thursday night. Yes 2 for 9.50 plus tax was a fair deal but the food was okay. I asked for spicy, it was not. And I thought shawarma was a wrap I got a taco looking pita. And the salad that coat 4 bucks was finished in 3 spoon fulls. Was very unimpressed.

Really very nice place, customer service is very good. I ordered chicken shawarma sandwich and it Was more tastier than expected. Especially the guys in the store are friendly towards every costumers. I encourage people who wants to try shawarma, this is the one of the best place.

Walked in at around 9 p.m. The guy was busy making orders for customers ahead of me. I was told to wait for a minute. One minute turned into two. And then turned into three. Finally when I got a chance to place an order, the guy told me in a rude way that it's going to take 20 to 25 minutes without even giving me a chance to say what I wanted. I told him "forget it" and then I just walked out. I guess he forgot that we are the reason he gets paid.

Extremely bad service they got the order wrong and instead of admitting blaming on me and refused to correct it this is the second time same person called Ramesh and tells me do whatever you want we left without finishing the food I never had any problem with their Richmond Hill location this person should not be dealing with the customers you have lost a very old and loyal customer who has been coming here for years

The falafel sandwiches were not good at all. Very flavorless. The lettuce was wilted and soggy and the falafel balls did not have any flavor. Would not eat here again.

I am really disappointed with this place and its staff. I will never go again. Reached there at 11: 15 p.m and we were really hungry. The notice at reception shows " We are open till mid night" in bold letters. I asked if they have what I want to order, in reply the guy said you must order before 11: 30 or you will not get it. I said yes I will, I choose 2 plates and while ordering he said " here ot togo? " I replied here, the guy said" then you must finish eating by 11: 30". I said you told me to order by 11: 30 now you are saying to leave at 11: 30 you notice says 12: 00. That guy told me to take it takeaway, he only wanted me to either takeaway or simply leave the shop.

Food is good! I come here all the time but the short lady upfront has the worst attitude. Definitely shouldn’t be working upfront. Should be in the back cutting chicken. Away from customers.

Food what they served was worth for the price, but the cashier who was there was rude. If she could greet or talk with customer in proper way really nice place and when I asked for mayo she refused to give it I was told that already there is mayonnaise in the shawarma

Very tasty food they have with reasonable prices and good service. Food is very tasty. Everyone should try it once.

Honestly, there's nothing wrong with the food but the employees treat customers like garbage. I was there with my friend and I heard an employee named Curiya saying "give it to maira" which my friend translated as an offensive word. Do not go to this place if you expect to be treated nicely. I have been to the other shawarma store by the same owner in Markham and I haven't experienced the same issue

Great food. Healthy too. I had the chicken platter & Beef platter and it was perfect. Rice, Salad & Sauces was perfect. Staff were great. Food was Delicious. I'll be back for sure. Big servings at a affordable price.

Very hospitable staff and hygienic food. The food feels fresh and tasty, with a real kick of spiciness. I love their sauces.

There is no use of ordering on phone. They always make you wait. I called them 30 mins ago for my order and I am still waiting here for my order.

So far best shawarma I've had in the town, they have 3 locations, the owner and hes wife they were very welcoming and friendly to us, we got our order less than 6 minutes, we had 12 shawarma and 2 platters, very clean place and good quality food and decent prices, highly recommended

I have been to this place a few times and I feel they serve the best shawarma in town. Amazing people, very friendly and the two shawarma deal is amazing for 9.50. A definite go to place if you like shawarma.
