Tasty's Caribbean Cuisine

Love the food here. Especially the goat roti. Boneless or bone-in. Can't go wrong. Also they have an array of other Caribbean snacks like potato pudding, cassava pone etc.

Excellent food, good customer service, I took the soup of the day, lentil soup which was awesome and then I got the goat plate with rice and peas and veggies, , the amount of food that I got was enough for 2 people, definitely will be back. And if you haven't been here yet you gotta come check it out

The food is good. I have enjoyed their oxtail, curry goat, and jerk chicken meals. The customer service on the other hand is terrible. The lady at the front gives off the vibe she is overworked and doesn't want to be there. She gives nasty looks intentionally and responds in a rude and blunt way. I feel constantly looked down upon every time I go here. There are a lot of Caribbean restaurant around, if customer service is something you look for, try those one's out as well.

Great portion size, large chicken pieces in the roti, broccoli in the veggie roti was very welcome

I don’t normally leave reviews but I was so disappointed with this order of Oxtail. Almost $20 dollars for some huge pieces of Oxtail BONES inside a small container of gravy. ONE DOLLAR EXTRA FOR PAYING WITH MY CREDIT CARD (the most I ever have to pay for credit card payment in Toronto was. 50 cents) No rice included. No cold slaw included. Just these huge junks of bones. On top of that not even cutlery was issued. So upset with this and will never return to this restaurant.

Not sure if I caught them on a bad day but did not get a good portion and the person who was serving me looked upset and was impatient… did not get a good portion either; filled with rice.

I had to run to write this review. This is the best jerk chicken I have tried living in Canada. The seasoning is perfect and it actually has that heat I’m always looking for when ordering Jerk chicken. Portion sizes are great. Highly recommend upsizing that coleslaw because you’ll need it to quench that heat. But 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be back. Hopefully the delivery experience is similar.

Great value for jerk chicken special. Juicy chicken and tasty vegetables (huge fan of cabbage btw). A filling meal for just over $10!

The food was decent. I liked the coleslaw. But the amount of food for the price was absolutely not worth it

Not very tasty. Doubles were frozen. Chicken was not seasoned properly. Rice and peas are bland. As a west Indian I'm judging this a little more harshly, but even my white friend said it tasted bland.

Came here for their lunch special. Got the jerk chicken which was delicious and the portions are hearty. The Jerk chicken was juicy and super delicious. You can tell the cook cares about the food. I'm a fan. Will be back

My sister and I came all the way from Alberta and were craving a good roti. Sadly I was disappointed. We ordered chicken roti, goat roti and jerk chicken roti. The food was bland and the guy who served us was so rude and impatient. You literally have 2 customers in the whole place so why can't you be nice to the only customers you have. I work in the food industry too so customer service is a must.

They should not be names tasty’s. They’re the only restaurant in history that has managed to make spicy food tasteless.

Our organization ordered lunch for our staff last Friday. From beginning of the process to the end Tasty's did not disappoint. They worked within our budget, provided fantastic options for all dietary restrictions, beautiful presentation, delivery to 3 locations, absolutely incredible food - and service with a smile. Quite possibly the best Caribbean food I have had the pleasure of experiencing. Fair prices, incredibly generous portions, and outstanding quality. Cannot recommend this place enough. Also do not understand the reviews that claim that the customer service was “terrible”— the girl was very friendly and answered all of our questions.

Super yummy doubles and I love their hot sauces and sautéed veg too. Doubles are only available Thursday to Saturday. Also that amount of black pepper was accidental lol don’t judge me

Although I love Caribbean cuisine, I prefer not to go to this restaurant because of the rude and angry behavior of the lady who works in this restaurant save your time and money

Was super sick and immobile today - I was craving jerk chicken but NEEDED soup. This was the only jamaican restaurant that had soup. Took a gamble and ordered a jerk chicken and medium daily soup via Uber Eats. I WAS SOOOOOO HAPPY with both but especially the soup bc it was exactly what I needed. The soup was super hearty.like its only little individual pot of soup and not just a bowl of broth scooped from a pot. It was packed with all the ingredients. Your soup made me feel so much better I cannot thank you guys enough! I'll be getting a large next time.

Unprofessional staff the girl at the counter was really rude. 5 star for food but 1 for customer service.

I am all for supporting local small businesses but will NEVER order here again. My sister in law got her food and it was good until this gross cockroach was in it. Completely disgusting! Ended up getting blocked by this restaurant on Instagram, no apologies or trying to fix the problem with their customers. This is absolutely disgusting. I don’t know what their standards for sanitation are, but I don’t think this is it.

This place is one of the best places I’ve been to to get authentic tasting Caribbean food. Plus their cashiers are always so nice to me, highly recommended if you’re looking for great food for the price!

Lives up to their name! Their Jerk Chicken with rice was delicious. The meat was very tender and flavourful. The rice&peas is currently my favorite compared to other local places I've had. The Jerk was a good level of spice. They gave us a generous amount or chicken and rice for the Regular size. They forgot to add our plantains to our order but overall had a good experience. I will be enjoying this dish for lunch tomorrow. We will be returning again soon!

Tried the regular Stew Chicken and it was quite good. The meal is quite filling in terms of quantity and the quality is also very good. The meat was especially soft and flavorful.

I got the jerk chicken meal and doubles. It was delicious. Chicken fell off the bone and had the right flavour. The rice with beans was good as well, mixed perfectly with the chicken. The coselaw was creamy, crunchy and overall very good. The doubles were surprisingly good! They now have the option for three different chutneys/sauces to add - honestly so delicious and such a great price for the city so hard to find good doubles! I recommend ordering the hot sauce as an extra if you like Carribean pepper sauce. Looking forward to their large pepper sauce bottles to come out! ️

Been coming here for a couple years now, usually during lunch hours when I'm downtown but have been driving all the way from Mississauga recently just to get takeout.

Best jerk chicken in GTA imo. Their hot sauce is actually hot, portions are generous, chicken always juicy even at closing hours. Bomb!

I used to work down the block from this place, I loved grabbing lunch here. The barbecue chicken and coleslaw are especially delicious.

Worst food poisoning of my life. There was an entire uncut piece of full ginger in the chicken roti, and both my wife and I were seriously ill from the order because we had already eaten half-way through it before discovering this.

Again, I debate posting negative reviews but this was utterly ridiculous. 5 hours of brutal pain the next day from the food poisoning.

And I love Caribbean food, which makes it worse.

I personally believe they could provide more rice with their jerk chicken for the price. Their jerk chicken seems a bit undercooked compared to other places I had been. Hope they do work on it.

The rice and beans was a little spicy which i wasn’t a huge fan of but it was still good, oxtail was a little blend in opinion but the coleslaw man, 10/10.

I ordered food for my husband's birthday dinner and I was very, very pleased. Food was delicious, and was very presentable. I would definitely order again.

Tasty is the name and tasty is the food. I had a vegetable roti and two doubles. The roti is large and soo good, it was a meal on its own. I saved the doubles for the next day and they were worth the wait. Spicy and full of authentic Trini flavour. Their hot sauce is an added bonus. I would love to buy a big bottle. I am proud to support my neighborhood

We met with friends at this spot for dinner.my friend recommended this restaurant. Well, we were not disappointed.we were warmly welcomed by the staff and we had an excellent feeling. The food was just great. We enjoyed every moment and we shall definitely come back again. Warmly recommended.

I placed a catering order with Ricardo December 2019 for an employee event to be held in Spring 2020; of course due to Covid, it didn't happen. When I contacted Ricardo, he completely reassured me that our order was safe and would be available whenever we were ready. He was true to his word, he fulfilled our order in Sep 2020. The entire experience was amazing - the event was split over 2 days and 4 orders and he got it all right. Food was delivered hot and fresh; portions were very generous and most important, food was delicious - every employee loved it and appreciated what we did for them (a really nice change from typical boring catering sandwiches) Thank you Ricardo/Tasty's for making over 250 our our employees very HAPPY!

The Doubles! The Doubles! This place is awesome, Ricardo and his staff make rib sticking Caribbean food the way that your Trini Grandma would. Their hot sauce is to die for. Warning: The portions, even the "light" meals are VERY GENEROUS, so sharing is recommended.

I celebrated my PhD today in this great place. I am glad to say that we had a terrific evening and the restaurant was definitely the reason for this outstanding event. The crew participated in a gorgeous style, the cuisine was delicious and my guests were very delighted. We shall surely come back again for more events.thanks very much.

The plantain was rough it was dry as hell, the chicken was well cooked but under spiced same goes for the rice and peas

The dhall puri was great.fresh and soft.the curries I have to say could have been better. Not as tasty and flavor full as I expected.the gravies were watered down.

The restaurant was following Covid safety measures so I felt really safe. I ordered doubles and a boneless goat roti. It was outstanding! The roti was filled to the brim with tender meat and the doubles were very fresh. Great bang for your buck, highly recommend checking this place out

I went to Chinatown for another restaurant but it was closed. I was really hungry, saw Tasty's, and that was that. I was greeted by a very nice woman who quickly prepared an absolutely delightful (and obscenely large) portion of jerk chicken with rice and peas. It looked good, it smelled good, and it tasted even better. Once again I have fluked into a wonderful meal. If you're in Chinatown and don't feel like Chinese, Tasty's has got you covered.

Yesterday was the first time we visited this magnificent restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last. We had great time with the generous service, with the great dishes and wine and with the friendly pay. We will surely visit there in a short time.

I had the special (jerk chicken, rice and peas, coleslaw). Although it was my first time eating jerk chicken, and I therefore cannot compare, I really enjoyed it.
