TD Canada Trust Branch and ATM

I have had two not so great experiences here. The first is when we went in about getting a mortgage and we’re told it would be ‘highly unlikely’ to get approved for what we wanted, so we went through a broker to then find out the brokers used TD for our mortgage which was 150k MORE than what the banker at TD said we would ‘highly unlikely’ be able to secure during our appointment. Second of all my boyfriend had questions about his RRSPs in which Hassib (employee) came off as rude and condescending. He also LAUGHED at the fact my boyfriend switch account types even though he was advised by another TD banker to do so (during Covid). This is unprofessional and was very upsetting. Will not be going back here for further advice.

Yikes! Steer clear of this institution folks. A few years ago, we had a mortgage with them and from the beginning of the process, it was a mess! Misinformed bordering on dishonesty. Now, 14 months after we closed our mortgage with them, it's still on our credit score after they failed to close the file properly. Currently, they are dragging us through another paper chase for another mistake on their end. Nice people but incompetent and disorganized.

I have banked here for years. The staff has always been helpful and friendly. They recently waived a bank draft fee for me to help me out when my new cheques were late arriving.

Hit or miss with customer service …. I drive to the Whitby branch now after a terrible experience

This TD used to be very good in terms of customer service and support. Recently they have a new branch manager who just stares at people and make them very uncomfortable. No support at all. I've been going to this branch for past 10 years, I went to get money from 10 yr old my son's account. He gave me such a hard time because once he was on the teller I didn't go to him when it was my turn to go. I didn't go because he look at people like he is about to eat them raw. I felt very uncomfortable dealing with this guy. I am canceling my kids account and my safety deposit box. I don't want to deal with these kind of people when there are so many nice bank with professional people working. Consider it when dealing with Brookline branch.

I hate to leave such negative reviews, but in this branch's case I need to warn other visitors for the sake of awareness!
1. I opened and RDSP account for my son back in 2018 with this branch & it took them until 2020 to finalize the account due to their internal miscommunication.
2. Again in 2020 I thought I should give them another chance and use their services due to the location's proximity. I called the branch to open an RESP for my youngest son. When I spoke with the lady on the phone regarding opening the account - she kept interrupting & seemed uninformed. We ended up disconnecting the conversation without any help!

Very rude tellers. Trying to deposit 17k check and they gave me a hard time. Ask to see business advisor and they want me to wait a week.

Great branch! All of my business needs are taken care of by the staff and my banking is done in a timely manner.
