I love this place- but atmosphere feels uncomfortable when you walk in and your just starred at.a "hello" or "welcome" would go a long way. Every time I needed mini guidance about price or items and was not lent, ñ. Like the man didn't even know the menu and if he does he isn't making the expierence fun and helpful. I work for starbucks and if someone said it's there first time I would ask them a few questions say 2 drinks I know they'd love and make them extra special. I also would welcome them if the door was close and if not I'd be welcoming when they stepped up to register.

Lots of selection it’s hard to pick. Had all the fruit slush flavours not one flavour has been bad. Haven’t tried the food but there’s always lots of people eating in. They also have various board games to play if you sit down. Very cool atmosphere.

This place use to be very good 1 year ago but new owners took over and it’s terrible now. I ordered brown sugar milk tea and they quite completely just gave me milk with sugar. reviews wont let me put pictures but you would very clearly see the colour difference, one was brown & the other was pure white. I asked for a new one as they were trying to feed me sweet milk, if I continued drinking I would’ve felt extremely sick. I actually think they forgot to add tea into my brown sugar milk TEA.

Takoyaki is amazing. Customer service is spotty. Sometimes great other times lacking. Parking is terrible good for locals only. Wouldn't recommend for people out of Hamilton.

I ordered the popcorn chicken rice it was good however it would have tasted better if it came with a sauce, there cheesecake was large and they really upped their game

They told me that they’re out of the toast after I’ve paid for it. They also charged my friend more which is different from the price that’s shown on the menu. The cheese cake taste like frozen cake.

Dropped 30$ on bubble tea and food w/ tips which was alright. I made a 2nd order for bubble tea around 8$ before leaving and forgot to put the table name in my order. After waiting a bit I realized and went to the front to grab my drink. What I believe was the owner seemed really rude and lecturing me how I was late to get my drink. I apologized out of politeness to let him know I didn’t mean to keep him waiting but he seemed very very irritable.

I didn’t know you can get treated so poorly over an honest mistake. I had my expectations low for this place but seems like I’m even more disappointed. Big ups to the owner for making this a pleasant experience.

I paid $8 for a cheesecake which on the menu was listed for $5.5. I asked about the difference in price and they said the changed the menu. The cheesecake was frozen I couldn't cut through it. My friend ordered toast and paid for it, but then they told her there isn't any and gave her something else that was not as good.

After waiting 1.5 hrs they told me my food was mistakenly took by other people, and canceled my order. I’m disappointed and hungry especially at midnight after such long waiting hours! Can you be more responsible to your customers?

So many wonderful drinks. I had the Vietnamese coffee, which although not quite as good as viet-thai restaurants I've been to, was still excellent. My friends had a different boba tea each and they were all very enjoyable. Will return for more, and sample a noodle bowl too. Thanks for having us!

This place has really gone downhill with new owners. Food used to be amazing we used to come weekly but not anymore. Spicy hotpot used to be delicious and came with an actual flame. Now they just bring you boiled water with some ingredients tossed in. You can tell the flavours didn't even infuse. Other snack foods are decent but consistency isn't there anymore. Only thing I liked was Takoyaki, thats still good. Miss the old way a lot.

Very disappointing taste. I have eaten here before and it was nice but today was really bad. The chicken fried rice had a weird taste. It was just rice and red paste, partly made eggs and chicken.

The popcorn chicken didn’t have enough batter on it and it was dry. No consistency compared to the last time I ordered. I don’t believe I will order again.

I had a really good experience with this place but I found a piece of metal in my shrimp wonton with chilli sauce. I was lucky I didn't bite too hard.

Usually have a really good experience here, however there was a new guy there who seemed like the owner. He was so mean and rude to my husband. We had to ask about our food 3 times. Our food was ready the whole time but he did not serve us. Until I went back up and asked again and I was told to sit down. Sad experience here

I have been going to this place for the past 2 years since moving to here, their Tara Smoothie bubble tea is the best, their bubble tea is the best in the city. They added some coconut milk into it. This is excellent quality boba!

Update jun 26th, 2022: Got the taro milk tea + brown sugar bubble tea. Very high quality 10/10, the best spot for bubble tea

Ordered via Doordash. Arrived really fast to Eastmount. Tokayashi was good and sour-savoury, shrimp rolls were very good, battered squid was super chewy, japanese french fries was like poutine with some kelp and flavoring and pretty good. Bubble tees were excellent. Overall very happy with the food and drinks.

I just bought Japanese style popcorn chicken, no sauce nothing and too much oil! Was never happened like that before, just so disappointed today. I Already ordered before coming 25mins, when I came I still had to wait even the store was not busy at all.

Great place for cheap, yummy, and filling snacks. Definitely get popcorn chicken & a bubble tea drink if it's your first time visiting! Quick & nice service from the staff too:)

Tea Hut’s environment is friendly, welcoming, and comforting. The food is not only delicious, but also very affordable! They gave me free seasoning for my popcorn chicken i love them

All the drinks we ordered were sugary sweet even though we asked for reduced sugar.didn’t follow our requests for our drinks.tasted nothing but sugar.the milk taste in the milk tea was really artificial.

If your not Asian just know that the service you'll get will be so bad and just stupid not ordering here ever again right out nasty good food but bad service.

I ordered two milk teas and an egg waffle - would have been nice if the staff mentioned the egg waffle would take 15-20 mins to make. The male working the front was a little rude when I asked how much longer it would take (I asked nicely). Other than that, the milk teas and waffles were good.

Best bubble tea in Hamilton and amazing food. Been going there for a decade, and remember when it was one of very few bubble tea houses in the GTA. They have a huge selection of flavors in black, green, or milk tea.

Their Taiwanese main dishes are amazing. If you like spicy/savory then I suggest their three-cup-chicken. For some comfort food deliciousness, try their popcorn chicken (it's real breast/thigh chunks breaded Taiwanese style, not processed nuggets)

They even have milkshakes, smoothies, fruit slushies, and coffee for those not into tea. Top it off their snack foods are always cooked to perfection, and even better are their desserts. The ice cream waffles and cream puffs always win over my diet.

Food took forever to come but delicious and large portions. Friendly staff. Definitely would come again.

I've ordered from this place three times now via various delivery apps and each time it's been great food. It arrives hot, fresh, and nicely packed, and they have some really great menu options I haven't seen elsewhere. Trying new restaurants during the pandemic can be intimidating, since delivery is rarely a great chance for a place to impress since there's so much that can take away from the experience, but I'm so glad I took a chance on them and hope I can visit in person someday to see what the sit-down experience is like.

Amazing bubble tea, my customer HAO brought me this bubble tea when he was getting his new grand Cherokee delivered and I fell in love. If I lived closer I would buy one every day

It is probably my 100th time to be here. Consistent good customer service. Considering the atmosphere before I like the set up now, more spacious. My favourite; Popcorn chicken!

I am in love with this place. They have a HUGE menu with anything you ask for. The staff is very friendly too.

Teahut is my favourite local bubble tea shop in Hamilton. Not only do they serve drinks such as bubble tea and smoothies, they also have a variety of food options to select from. My favourite is their popcorn chicken! They’re so friendly and provide great customer service every time I go. Even with Covid, they are doing take-out! I will continue to support my favourite small business by ordering until I can once again come in and eat in person.

Good food and drinks but customer service sucks. Their door is extremely heavy and knocked my order out of my hands spilling it, and was made to pay for a replacement order.

Popcorn chicken, shrimp rolls, bacon fried rice? Can't go wrong with this place. Such a huge variety of everything. And it's actually one of the only restaurants I've had delivery from that's never messed up an order. Keep up the amazing service! I'd take this place over McDonald's any day!

I only like one of their drinks. I've tried so many. The drinks itself, I never seem to get enough ice. Always melts so quickly even when I ask for extra.making my drink room temperature. If you want to enjoy the drinks cold, make you drink it as soon as you can. I do enjoy their popping strawberry bubbles a lot. It's one of the reasons I get some drinks. Their tapioca was SO soft that it almost felt overcooked. I wish it was a little tougher to have that nice chewy consistency too! To have the best or both worlds. I recommend Lychee Yogurty!

I hope you guys consider providing sugar options on your delivery apps because I do think your drinks are WAY too sweet. Without the sugar options listed on delivery apps, it makes it seem like their sugar are fixed (which I hope they aren't). I understand if some drinks are good with full sugar but not everyone has a sweet tooth. With sugar options, I think a lot more people could enjoy your drinks. You can write in the notes on Uber if you want less sugar, but it's nice to see what you can choose from.

I really enjoy the food here though:) I would recommend their popcorn chicken or their takoyaki balls! It's not often I see a bubble tea shop sell good food!

We ordered bubble tea for my wife and daughter, one of them had no ice cream in it so I called the store and asked about the mistake. The young girl on the phone argued that she had put ice cream in the drink. We were certain that the drink was in fact missing that specific ingredient, was very liquidized not as thick as the second drink which had the ice cream in it. While she kept arguing, she also made fun of me to her coworkers and her manager about me asking her how she gonna fix the the mistake since it was almost closing time, while I was on the phone with her. Very unprofessional and annoying service. Then I asked for the manager who then offers me a free bubble tea. Thank you buddy while you’re at it give some advice to ur server about how to handle costumers complains. Or just simply don’t mess up a simple order.

A lot of MVSA events are held here so I come here pretty often. Food and drinks are an amazing value – would recommend the popcorn chicken, chilli dumplings, and omurice! Staff is super friendly and accommodating! Also, they're open pretty late if you want to spend time with friends. A gem in Hamilton!

The restaurant definitely needs a facelift. The product is decent. My fave food is the popcorn chicken, and my fave drink would be the thai milk tea with tapioca. However I wouldn't say their pull is either of those. The restaurant is more of a hangout spot where you play Jenga or catch up with friends. That's the beauty of TeaHut. Better food and drink otherwise would of course raise this to 5 stars. Same with a renovation. Obviously it costs a lot but I believe an update at least on the customer facing side would make TeaHut one of the best spots for bubble tea.
The prices are fair, the location isn't hard to find nor get to, and the atmosphere is welcoming.

We've been here quite a few times now. Massive selection of all kinds of awesome drinks besides the bubble tea. One of my favorites is an iced coffee frappe with tapioca, which puts the mcDonalds or Tims versions to shame. Food is really good as well.

Got the popcorn chicken and chicken fried rice yesterday to treat myself, didn’t realize half the chicken was raw because of how hot it was. Now I’ve spent the last 24 recovering from the food poisoning it gave me. All in all not a great experience from a eatery that I know can do better

As for some of the reviews stating not enough "physical distancing": You can only do so much before it becomes the customer's responsibility to distance. There is protective coverings over everything, there are signs that state a limited amount of customer's permitted and the order desk is separate from pickup counter. When a willing group of people enter without thinking about distancing, all you can do is ask some to wait outside. Some people simnply do not choose to heed the guidelines.

This is my favourite place to get bubble tea and Taiwanese food. Been coming here since I was a teen and I've never been unhappy with the food or service. The manager and other staff a quite pleasant. Thanks Tea Hut for great food and great service!

I love coming to Teahut with friends cause they have such a cozy atmosphere and the staff are always so friendly! They have so many good items on their menu including the Taiwanese styled fried chicken and beef stew! The prices are also very good!:) i definitely recommend!

I ordered my usual Thai Milk Tea with Tapioca, I asked for less sugar and ice, and the worker literally dumped a bit of my drink and just added water. It was disgusting and my drink tasted like regular water with colouring. I will not come back here unless the owner is working

One of the best places to relax and chill as long as you want in downtown Hamilton. Friendly staff who would always greet with a smile. Food is reasonable price. However the minimum cost in the menu is $4.72.ofcourse the food is of good quality, it would've been even more interesting if it begins from $2-3.

The food was absolutely amazing! The boba was so good. Service was amazing. Staff were so kind. Would and WILL be coming again. Would recommend to a friend. <3

Place for hangouts, small meals, snacks and desserts. Presentation of the food was ok. Bubble tea tasted a little off and wasn't as cold as I expected.

Went on a Friday night pretty late. Staff seemed tired and not so friendly, could have been an off night for them.
