Switched to Telcan a month ago. Good value for the plan, and I have since had zero problems with the cable internet system speed or downtime. Installation timings and service start up was flawless. Only reason not 5 star is because they could not provide the DSL service that they originally let me sign up for.and then I had difficulties trying to sign up for cable.

Switched to Telcan for a cheaper reliable service. So far speeds are consistent. The customer service was great. Very friendly and helpful. Didn't take long to switch providers

Setup was easy and there have been no issues in the first couple months since switching to Telcan.

Overall the performance has been good. I have noticed though, that when I have been getting interference with video calls on my PC or movies are slower and require some buffering, I would have to unplug the router for 30 secs and then plug it back in. In All cases this has started the functionality correctly, I do this once a week. With the Bell modem, it was once every 5 months or so. I have not had the chance to contact Telcan support about this. I am hoping it will disappear.

Internet wasn’t great. When we tried to cancel our service multiple calls had to be made. Then they tried to charge us to return their modem.

Have been with this provider for the past months. Happy with the internet speed so far consistent with what I paid for without major slowdown. I highly recommend to those in doubt to try them!

SCAM! They pay for good reviews!
I was given an appointment for setup but no one called/showed up and they still can’t provide me with a reason as to why.
Whenever I call, I get the same person who is all over the place. He rescheduled for a later date than he confirmed over the phone. The email and text confirmations also had different dates and times on them.
This is very unprofessional. I had to cancel because of this one employee.

Customer service sucks! They have a lot of attitude and they refused to send me a shipping label in the mail after telling them numerous times I dont have access to printing services to print one that they said was emailed to me! They basically said “Oh well” I guess we’re charging your card for our modem! Not over my dead body!

Very bad service. I contact them and pay for service and instalation of internet at my home and we fix a appointement in 2 week whit Telcan. They never came.i have to call them to learn that they cancel my order. Not professionnel

Well maybe I’ll get service if I complain here? I’m trying to get connected but almost 2 weeks after I ordered I am still not hooked up to DSL. I’ve made at least 8 calls and tried 2 modems. The latest is that I am supposed to call Bell and cancel my old service! Isn’t that their job? I am very reluctant to do this since I have no confidence that I’ll be connected to their service and then I won’t have Internet for several days. Will update when/if it gets resolved…

Telcan has been amazing so far! I work from home and my old Internet used to be unbearable and my work calls were always dropping. Since switching to Telcan, it's been smooth sailing - and it's more affordable! The install was also super quick and on time.

I came across Telcan on the internet while looking for alternative ISP to the one I had which was increasing their prices. I filled in the application online and called them to confirm my installation date from the number they listed on the completion screen. There was almost not wait time and took a couple of minutes to confirm. The modem arrive a couple days after. Installation was literally Rogers coming to check the connection speed (all of 1 minute) plug in the modem waited a few minutes for the connection and I was good to go! So easy! Very happy with the service so far.

I am a student and I needed an affordable plan with a reasonable speed, which Telcan provides this in a great manner.
As a student, I am happy that I have been using Telcan. Strongly recommend!

Would be nice, if you have problems, the customer service department could speak English that is understandable, as a customer, I should have the same service as everyone.would be nice to have service in English

Very Happy Had Telcan for a month. I have full speed for Dsl50 package. I like the all in price ie modem / service /Dry loop. Best all in price for DSL50 out there and locked in for two years. The Install process was very easy, couple of emails and text. Wierd not talking to someone to arrange appointment for installation but more efficient. Would recommend this company for their DSL50 internet.

So I got a internet connection from telcan and they were so prompt on the communication.
Also my internet was working without a hitch from day 1 which cannot be said for a lot of other providers!

Last but not least I got a confirmation call later the day to confirm if everything was going okay. You just don't get this kind of service now days!

So glad I took chance with telcan and it paid off instead of paying twice as much with other providers

Not very happy’ They sent me a modem that is still connected to old customer wifi’ I am not able to use modem! Now I have to wait for 2 days for a new modem to be shipped to me! It seems customer service has no control over resetting the modem. When I go online to set up my login and password. Default name and password is wrong! I have so much work to do online for my classes and now I have to wait another 2 days.

If I could give this 0 stars I would was sent a modem with an activation date of feb 1 no tech came on feb 1 no call either then feb 2nd comes I call and the tech is on there way tech “sets up the modem” and tells me I have to wait to activate it I wait 2 hours and call and I’m told it’s a server issue and they will call me when it’s dealt with and I didn’t get a call so I finally asked to speak with a manager and was refused and told they would send another tech the next day. The next day in the am I call and speak to Saud the manager and he promised this internet would be fixed today when the tech comes he tells me the modem is faulty and I’d have to wait 3 days t get a new one I finally asked for a refund in which case Saud hung up on me and wouldn’t talk to me I got through to a young lady and she told me I’d get it if I send the modem back never again

Finally found an internet provider where the price and duration of the contract is guaranteed for two years without increases. The modem coverage is good. Thanks Telcan

Very disappointed! I sent the equipment back but they took 280$ from my bank account.
I had to send the equipment as I changed providers. I called them a first time to make sure that I had enough time to send the equipment as I was away for the holidays. The representative on the phone told me that I was fine as long as I send it before the 15 days (which I did).
I sent the equipment on December 31 and I made sure to email them to let them know about it.

This morning I see that they took 280$. When I call them to ask why they took the money when I sent the equipment before the deadline the representative tells me that he sees that the equipment is going to be delivered tomorrow to their inventory and that they will refund me after. I am going crazy or what! It says everywhere that they will charge if we don’t SEND the equipment after the deadline and now I am charged even though they clearly see that I did and they can track the equipment! This is nonsense!
I asked to talk to a superior but apparently they don’t have superiors there but they have people deciding to take money as they please from my bank account.

280$ for their equipment when we won’t have internet half of the time! Honestly would not recommend.

I've just ordered TelCan cable internet. The installation was smooth and as planned, no hiccups whatsoever. Their price was very competitive and the communication support was great to ensure that my internet is up and running on time. I'm very happy with the service and would recommend Telcan to anyone who needs internet service alternatives.

Service is good.last few days it has has had few choppy periods.not to happy bout when thats the only service i have.no cable tv no home phone no sat tv.just internet then i have streaming services but does no good without the web.had to set mobile phone to hotspot n use double the data n use up all my data

Telcan is a fairly new service to me, but somehow they have shown more communication in the few months that I have used them than any other ISP I have dealt with in the last 10 years. Text messages, emails, confirmations, even phone calls to confirm details and double check when the switch over from the old to the new service was happening. Their pricing is competitive, but with all the customer service this even seems like it is too little. The speed I'm paying for is SPOT ON, even through the Netflix speed tester and other that a very small hiccup here and there - the service uptime has been 99.99999%, which is why I left the previous new competitor on the market. Overall this is a set it and forget it service that all internet providers show thrive for. And if you want to get $30 off of your bill and mine - you can use this code PAT5733. I saw the Telcan rate while searching for a home internet as I'm new here in Toronto. After making the purchase, they sent me an estimated time on the delivery of the modem and the schedule of the activation. Everything went really smooth and the internet connection is really good. With the value of money, I'm really satisfied with the product and the service from the company.

They didn't install at the scheduled day, but after installed I'm extremely satisfied with speed and connection stability. I'd recommend for sure. They use Rogers network.

I returned a modem and apparently Purolator did no scan the parcel. Now we do not know where it is at all, Tecan never got it. Someone came to pick up form my office. This has been going on for 4-5 months now. It is obvious that the modem is lost. Telcan doesn't want to do anything about it but wait. Purolator said they never got it. I am stuck with an outstanding balance of around $300 dollars. It is not fair for me to pay that amount since I sent it out. I am getting calls from Telcan from 8AM to 10PM everyday, I told them to stop and all they said was they will put a note but cannot guarantee, which I will have to block them soon and occasional emails that if I don't pay, they will report to Equifax. I am still fighting against this and this is the worst customer service experience ever. Don't come here because if this was Rogers or Bell, Telus, Vmedia, TechSavvy, they would have cleared your balance or come to a solution.
