Would give 0 stars if I could, I Put a call in @12am Fri and it’s now 1234pm sun still have not received a call back completely ridiculous
07 October 2023 9:30
The wait to get to talk to an RN is sooo long, and 9/10 times they tell you to go to ER or see a doctor within 24 hours!
Like I might as well call on the way to the ER give my info to the call taker and wait and see who gets me first hospital or telehealth RN…
25 July 2023 16:39
The nurse collected all the information, and at the end of the call she said contact your doctor. Follow your instincts. Such a waste of time. Not helpful. Don't recommend.
25 July 2023 12:17
Contacted Telehealth for a very basic general question. There was nothing life threatening or even serious just needed a very basic question answered.

The online chat asked for lots of information which if I was calling for more then a small question would have been warranted but again it was an extremely small question. After that I got a call from a nurse who started asking a boat load of questions. I ask my single small question she refused to answer any questions unless I was on the phone for another 20 min giving pointless information. Lead me to hang up and calles my pharmacy. My pharmacist answered my question in 15 seconds.

Telehealth you guys have got to get your act together this was ridiculous
30 June 2023 14:12
I have been using Telehealth ontario since past 17yrs. Amazing service, No complains at all, always helpful. Keep up your good work!
17 May 2023 22:04
Very kind and knowledgeable nurse helped me tremendously with care for my 5 month old when he was sick with fever. Thank you so much.
10 May 2023 16:03
I called with a medical question regarding my father. I was told a nurse would call me back soon. I revived a call more than 6 hours later. This is supposed to be a 24/7 service.
04 May 2023 0:46
I waited over 52 minutes and no one answered, is someone going to reimburse my minutes on my cell phone which should have been a 10 minute call tops? When my child was sick in the late 2000's, someone picked up within 10 minutes. I guess this service is no longer viable to anyone.
08 April 2023 2:07
In the beginning of this service, it was always "go to emerge, we will call for an ambulance if you wish", now it's 3 seconds in, you need to go to emerge. Literally the most useless service around. Emerge has always laughed at me for Goin by telehealths advice. Especially the one time I agreed to let them call me an ambulance. This taxpayer costing service needs to be shut down, it's useless
26 March 2022 22:38
Twice called for assistance both times waited more than 10 hrs for a nurse to call me, both times the call was disconnected not by my fault and there is no way for me to get back to that person, why can't they call you out back. This is the most waste of taxpayer money.
24 March 2022 1:13
Zero stars (sadly not an option offered). On hold over 95 minutes before I gave up. Telehealth is no use at all if you are unable to access it because it is severely understaffed - as are all Ontario public services. Don't even waste your time trying to get through.
05 March 2022 20:05
The Man was incredibly rude, flippant and just down right mean. I was very polite and just trying to recieve help for my ill son. He sounded irritated that I had even called. Couldn't understand why I had called or what I needed help with. My son had been vomiting, sore throat and coughing but testing negative for 9 days and I was quite clear about that.
19 February 2022 14:14
Called with pain, said it was for a known UTI and need a known antibiotic- they said "ok a nurse will call you in an hour". Nurse calls an hour after asks a million and a half question to make sure i can run out of the house if theres a fire, only to then say shes a nurse and cant prescribe anything.and to drink cranberry juice. If you can't help- say so. I am in pain and had been told to wait for a call for nothing.get dr's that can prescribe- especially in this COVID era- thanks for wasting my time for nothing.
16 February 2022 10:04
I called regarding a fever and whether or not I needed a covid test. The receptionist Wendy was very helpful and funny. She helped put me at ease and was very detailed about when to expect a call back, and how the system works. The nurse practitioner I spoke to was also very helpful and explained things very well. Thanks!
28 January 2022 0:57
Every time I call, I am forced to listen to the entire prerecorded announcement (s) to get to "speak with. " a consultant, and every time - 30 seconds after last directive - the line is disconnected.been trying since May '21 at random. EVERY TIME!
27 January 2022 12:08
My cousin called Telehealth and was told to wait for 3.5 days before someone calls her back. My cousin has covid and pregnant. I thought Telehealth was 24/7 and is used to to help patients inquiries instead of crowding emerge. Don’t understand. Thanks
25 January 2022 9:42
I phoned to ask a couple questions after I suffered a head injury. Let me just say the nurse I got put on the phone with Serena, is the nicest and most compassionate nurse I’ve ever spoken to. She helped me so much and relieved so much anxiety. The receptionist also was super nice but unfortunately didn’t get her name. Fantastic job guys!
22 January 2022 10:46
Was told to bring my husband to the hospital because he was having memory issues but I was not allowed to go inside with him. How was he supposed to explain what he was saying if he cannot remember the conversation or what he said? TRILLIAM should have some kind of exception for something like that!
21 January 2022 0:38
I am very disappointed with telehealth at this time I have been calling since January 1st! Left three voice mails for someone to call me back and no one has! I’ve said in the voicemail how important it is to have someone to call me back and I am still waiting four days later I am on the phone waiting to speak to someone and I hope someone answers! I totally understand everyone is calling in and freaking out but then they should have hired more people or got more people to answer the phones! I hope they fix this problem fast!
18 January 2022 16:08
What a waste of time. A receptionist picked up and wanted me to tell her the reason for the call then wasn't able to provide me with anything useful. Why is a receptionist picking up the phone at Telehealth Ontario when Telehealth Ontario claims you could speak to a nurse. Also why is a receptionist giving medical advice that is incorrect and then telling callers to call Public Health? Telehealth is not providing the service that it's pretending to provide. Please remove the receptionist from your services. The receptionist has no BUSINESS asking ANY CALLER any questions.
10 January 2022 23:10
Tried calling about a potential allergic reaction in one of my children and the service hung up on me. Unbelievable
31 December 2021 10:16
Very rude and condescending nurse.
Took forever for them to call back (it took twice the time for the nurse to call back than what was provided as expected time by the receptionist).
The nurse did not care to listen nor try to assist. Talking to the nurse felt like conversing with a robot. Absolute waste of time and money.
20 December 2021 15:39
Phoned twice in one night. Very good service from the nurses and receptionist. Frustration is strong, when you're going to the prompts when you phone, but the questions do help the nurses figure out the next steps for you to take. The wait times are long, but like hospitals, they order them by severity. I would recommend this to my family and friends, instead of waiting at the ER for hours.
30 November 2021 5:30
My call kept getting dropped. Called twice and both times I was disconnected and never got to speak to anyone
28 November 2021 22:37
What's the point of this program? ! It's been 4 hours and they never returned my call. So you end up in emerg. And wait another X hours! Health Care in Canada.trash!
27 November 2021 1:12
Both the receptionist and nurse 'Brianna' were kind and professional. There was a long wait time, they mentioned I'd probably get a call back in 2 hrs, but the wait only took a half hr. The nurse was helpful and insightful. I would call back again; would recommend this service.
22 November 2021 19:08
Absolutely pointless. They ask a few questions, then tell you to go to the hospital every time.
20 November 2021 9:51
THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I WAS WAITING ON THE PHONE FOR SEVERAL MINUTES WHEN I GET THE CHANCE TO TALK TO A ''NURSE'' AND TOLD HER MY CONCERN SHE SAID OKAY ONE MOMENT PLEASE AND HUNG UP THE PHONE. WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THIS BEHAVIOR. IF I CAN GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD HAVE DONE IT.
17 November 2021 4:24
My call keeps not going through. Keeps getting hung up! It says open 24hrs, yet I dont even know who to contact about this problem.
24 October 2021 9:42
Are my taxes seriously used for this? I called about a wound infection as I’m breastfeeding and needed to know what care was safe. I waited hours for a call, talked to a very robotic and condescending nurse whom would only allow me to answer yes or no questions, and then was told to seek medical help. I had questions about home care, but the nurse refused to answer anything. A colossal waste of time and money.
16 October 2021 8:44
Spoke with a nurse yesterday and she provided us with good advice. I think that this is a valuable service in that it can reduce trips to the ER and it means that you have someone to call for a medical issue that ISNT an immediate emergency.
09 October 2021 3:27
Telehealth literally saved my life. Five and a half years ago, I wasn't feeling too great. When I described the symptoms to the nurse, they recommended I go to hospital immediately. Six hours later, I was diagnosed with acute leukaemia. Twenty hours later, I started chemo and a one month stay in hospital. Nine months later, I finished my 105th treatment. I was within days of dying and I didn't know it, but yesterday, I finished five years, cancer free! Thanks for doing what you do.
01 October 2021 10:00
Every time I call it is a four hour wait, five times this week, this service has become useless if they won't hire enough people.
27 September 2021 11:53
This service, unless run effectively, is NOT saving lives, if anything, it may endanger people by providing a false sense of temporary security during a medical emergency. Or by delaying them from taking the imperative steps to act during the critical window of time they may have available.

If you’re dealing with an emergency PLEASE go to ER and don’t rely on TeleHealth! They will waste the precious time when you must act if your life is in danger, such as during a heart attack, when there’s no time to wait for them to call you back.

I called twice while experiencing alarming heart pains and palpitations, severe headache, numbness in my arms, etc. I’m a stroke patient who already had a heart operation and I told the nurse this much. During my call, the “nurse” who answered the phone hang up on me after telling me someone will call me back. I am still waiting as I write this, not knowing what to do.

I’m appalled by the lack of responsiveness from an institution labeled as health care and liberally funded by taxes we pay in the name of our health “care! ” It’s time to call it what it is. A waste of money and time! I wish that the politicians we vote in power took a closer look at these stats from the public! Where’s the accountability for such a badly run institution? !

Please save your life, go to ER and don’t waste a minute with this excuse of an organization. No accountability, no responsibility. Remember, their salary is paid whether you live or die. Such a shame!
04 September 2021 4:50
Worst service ever called at 7pm, 9: 30pm & 11pm. They refuse to stick with any of the times provided by there agents. When asked “why? ” a generic answer is provided.

It is now 11: 45pm & they still haven’t called back.

I went to seethedoctor.ca registered at 10pm and was assisted by 11: 20pm
27 August 2021 23:16
Excellent advice yesterday after I made a almost life threatening mistake by mixing up Short and Long acting Insulin, saved a trip by the Paramedic's to the hospital, well done
18 August 2021 20:42
Ridiculous how our taxes are paying for this nonsense! I'm embarrassed that I even had to provide one star as a rating option. They don't deserve even that!
4.5 hr wait and they don't listen to anything anyways, to the person that wrote a review a week ago (the super long long review, regarding heart problems) you're bang on with your Observation of how poor our services are in onterrible!
With this lack of care, we need to demand that our taxes get put to use with something better!
15 August 2021 23:31
Called about a head trauma, possible concussion - described headache, wringing in the ear and some blurred vision. Just wanted to know if I should go to emergency given the circumstances. Was told by a super nice receptionist, with a very cheery attitude it would be at least three hours before I could speak to a nurse. This service does NOT work for health concerns, but is great at keeping wonderful receptionists employed. It would have taken less time to go to emergency than waiting for the call to be answered and then being told it would be another 3+ hours to speak to a nurse. 5 stars for the receptionist - -5 for the service (or lack thereof).
02 August 2021 11:44
They have you wait excessively long and don't advertise that receptionists answer the calls.
This sets a false pretense your medical needs will be answered/met immediately when it's anywhere from an hr -10 in this current covid hellscape.
The receptionists are nice and polite but often under staffed and not prepared.
01 June 2021 1:33
I talked to the receptionist to talk to a nurse she sets up a call back for 12h from when i called then asks what i: d have done without Teleheath i guess id be in the same boat having to wait till morning lmao pointless placeorganizations
02 May 2021 15:32
I've attempted to call several times. I go through all the options only to be hung up on when it's time to wait. Every. Single. Time. I. Called.
21 April 2021 12:37
Useless service, told my mother that a 9 day fever is normal in Covid. Took her to the hospital and she had developed pneumonia.

And wait times are over 8 hours.
17 April 2021 9:29
An amazing service, nurses are super kind and understanding, the 2 times I called I received accurate and good medical advice. This is an amazing service and is perfect when your in need of help but unsure if you should go to the hospital or wait for a doctor. This is perfect especially during Covid, a great way to stay safe and healthy!
02 April 2021 23:41
I have needed to consult telehealth Ontario several times. Always get helpful advice, especially this last time (jan 2021) where they told me to go to emerg immediately. Very much appreciate this service.
30 March 2021 10:13
Initial call was good. Waited 2 hrs for another nurse to call back; Only to have to repeat my issue, she acted as if she wasn’t informed. She directed me to an online virtual Doctor website called “diagnoseathome.com”. Horrible! I think it’s an American website that links to Canadian Dr. ’s. Why on earth is telehealth Ontario endorsing “diagnoseathome.com”? Totally useless!
25 March 2021 6:43
Poor service, long wait for call back, very scripted. Didn't give advice other than to go to a doctor or emerge.
21 March 2021 10:02
If I could rate a 0, I would.
I waited 4 hrs for a call back about my 90 yr old mom's blood pressure meds. They did not call. Called back and they could not find my file
16 March 2021 15:26
Terrible service and needs improving! Especially in these days where it's very difficult to actually see a doctor. I called this line twice today the first time it disconnected me after waiting 15 minutes the second time it disconnected me after waiting 30 minutes! (
10 March 2021 11:49
Telehealth Ontario what a waste of taxpayer money! Called at 10: 00 am didn’t get a call back for 5 hours! Then they called a gave me a phone number for teledoctor, the person who answered the phone asked me questions and told me I’m not signed up for this, then asked questions then clicked on her computer and then hung up on me? Really pull the plug on this!
10 March 2021 5:29
The last couple of times I called the service was very quick. I had to leave my number and someone called back. The service was extremely helpful. The nurse was very helpful!

This time I was just left on a silent hold for 43 minutes and it just disconnected. This happened to me numerous times in Fall 2020 as well.
08 March 2021 8:30
Always kind and helpful to some degree. Sometimes I don't get exactly the info I need but that means it was a question more so for my doctor. They've helped me out countless times. Kind and judgement free
05 March 2021 12:51
Best option in Ontario is to sign up with CloudMD via the app store or if using a computer, cloudMD.ca, it is a fantastic service, you see a licensed Canadian doctor. Available in Ontario and BC.the patient reviews are phenomenally possitive. There is also a service provided by Telus Health. Covered by OHIP, most reviews indicate same day or next day appointments.
04 March 2021 0:24
Very prompt response from nurses, took the time to diagnose and ask the right questions. When recommended to go to emergency they faxed the hospital information in advance to help make the whole process smoother. Always advised if an urgent matter to hang up and call 911. Great service!
01 March 2021 8:14
They recommend you 8/10 times to go to the hospital and say it’s serious but when you get there, you’re waiting 3+ hours to see anyone cause your really not serious. Don’t trust what telehealth nurses say! My daughter was a newborn and she had a fever, but they told me to rush her to the hospital, I’m not even joking they made a big deal out of it, like “get her there immediately”. They stuck a giant needle in her back cause they thought she had meningitis but it was just a bug. Huge waist of time and I was crying and worrying myself like crazy because the telehealth nurse flipped out. Plus now my husband had to go in cause he had all the symptoms of covid and he’s sitting in a waiting room amongst other non covid patients waiting to get a test for hours. Like they should have told him to stay home and quarantine and possibly do the drive thru test but he’s there possibly infecting other people? I’m just so confused!
15 February 2021 15:22
11 hours before a nurse can contact you, wow, can"t go to emergency room, or doctors office and telehealth is swamped, not good
11 February 2021 21:11
Used several times when we were boarderline on going to the emergency room or our emergency clinic the next day. Everytime we have gotten good advice, what to do if symptoms get worse and avoided unnecessary trips to the emergency room.
10 February 2021 5:10
The nurse presented herself as Kim was rigid and brisk and cited generalities in response to my questions. She also tried to disinform me about traveling regulations just assuming i am not a canadian citizen. Then she suggested i call another service and offered their number and i responded thank you now i see a dim light in the end of the tunnel. She said you don't need to be rude. I regret i asked not to record and certainly regret i called. Unhelpful and unpleasant experience.
06 February 2021 0:34
Would give zero stars if possible - RN by the name of Kristy was beyond rude to both my husband and myself regarding a call we made on behalf of our 10 month old.
04 February 2021 14:40
Awesome service. I've had great experiences talking to the nurses. Greg is one of my favourite nurses I have spoken to. Very thorough and knowledgable!
03 February 2021 0:03
Thank goodness for Telehealth Ontario! A few years ago I had odd but mild symptoms that disappeared after a few days. I contacted the service and was told that an ambulance would come and pick me up. I was diagnosed with blood clots in the hospital. I was literally days away from being dead. If it wasn't for this service, I wouldn't have bothered going to the hospital as all my symptoms had resolved by the time I called. I owe my life to this service and the staff at the hospital.
31 January 2021 3:25
I called around 7: 15am, and didn't receive a call back until 2: 00pm. The nurse was short, and generally unhelpful, basically telling me to 'just make a decision for yourself'.
I understand that they're busy during this time, but boy this wasn't the best experience.
25 January 2021 9:52
Called Telehealth at 10: 19pm. I was told it would be a 3hr 40min wait for a callback. Ok no problem. I made a follow up phone call at 4: 00am asking if I will be getting a call back. I was told yes you are on the list. I asked any idea when that call back will be. I was told it’s hard to tell. It is now 10: 40am the following day. 12HRS AND NO CALL BACK. NOT ACCEPTABLE. THANKS FOR NOTHING TELEHEALTH
24 January 2021 14:44
A lot of questions out of the scope of my call only to be told at the end: "you need to see a doctor". Well, I thought that is kind of what I am doing.but no; in my perspective this was a complete waste of time. I would like to advice personnel to keep the formal tone of voice and do not try to be buddy with the client. I needed professional -medical advice and a form to be filled out. I do understand if here was not the right place to get that but saying "Hang in there" and "you are doing a great job" when I just was told that I wasted my time, I thought is a bit out of place.
23 January 2021 23:57
Apparently an infant in distress doesn’t rate a call back. Called them at 5pm to ask for some help and was told a nurse would call us. It is now 3am, no call back, and now we’re at the emergency room. Thanks for nothing.
19 January 2021 16:33
My husband fell down a flight of stairs and hit his head. Clarissa was the answering attendant. She was short with me, very uncaring and told me it would be a 5 hour wait for a nurse tp call back. We are being told the ER's are too full yet can't get help anywhere else! No wonder Covid is spreading!
Wow.
28 December 2020 12:39
If I could wait 5 hours to speak with a doctor and possibly still need to go to the hospital, then why would I use this service? This is Ontario Health failing yet again!
25 December 2020 8:32
Generalist advice is what you are going to get on the phone. I expect this of course when a doctor can't physically see you and they are trying to do the best they can based on what you say to them. However it is frustrating after waiting so long on the phone to be told to go to your local emergency room and then be refused entrance at the emergency room given that 'severe abdominal pains, chest pains and the passing of blood are known symptoms of Covid 19. ' London University Hospital's advice was to call Telehealth who had sent me there. The system is over run, over tired and they keep ill people going in a circle without relief.
19 December 2020 9:03
There's a wastes of tax dollars. 4 hour wait time for a nurse? I left a message over 4 hours ago and still no call back. A receptionist picked up the call while I was waiting for a nurse? That defeats the entire process and she had no idea what was going on.

She was not very helpful and just trying to rush me off the phone.

We could use this money elsewhere unfortunately. When I used this service years ago, a nurse immediately picked up the call. Now you have to go through every digit on your keypad and you get a receptionist.
