I don't typically write reviews but my experience here was very strange and I feel I should warn other people. I took my cat here for a regular exam and I was concerned about her teeth as well. I asked the vet to check her mouth and he took one look and said she needed surgery. He was with her for less than three minutes without any real exam taking place and prescribed expensive medications for the next two weeks. The clinic had me schedule a pre-op nearly a month later where the vet spent even less time with my cat and prescribed the exact same medication again. She is an older cat and my research indicated a pre-surgical exam should include at the very least a blood test. Nothing was done aside from him again saying she needs surgery and telling me the date they had in mind and insisting on a deposit for the surgery. In two visits, I'd already spent $1200 at this clinic and the surgery hadn't even taken place. They were quoting me nearly $2000 for the surgery, saying extractions were more. In the meantime, they would not email me any information. I sent seven emails asking them to send me a cost breakdown of the surgery with or without extractions, which I'd received from two other vets without a problem and without even having to take my cat in, so this was a red flag to me. It seemed like they did not want any type of paper trail. For context, I always communicate via email with my vets so I have a record and the fact that they would not email me was very strange and frankly suspicious. Throughout this entire ordeal, they kept referring to my cat as a "he" and it became clear to me that they did not care about my cat, they only cared about money. If you can not get a simple detail such as her gender correct after two expensive visits, you obviously do not care about her whatsoever. In addition the vet wasn't warm or interested in her at all, I don't even think he likes animals? At this point I was feeling very uneasy about having them perform any surgery, I was anxious they may overdose her on anesthetic or pull teeth just for the extra money, as it was clear to me that the money is what they were interested in. I spoke with another vet out of town that I trust and they were also appalled at what I told them, that I had spent that much already with no real pre-op details being managed, and that they refused to send me anything concrete via email. In the end, I cancelled the surgery a week before and they still refused to respond to me in any written capacity. My gut feeling was that something bad would happen to my cat if I continued bringing her here, especially for a surgery in which she is extremely vulnerable. I was not interested in finding out if I was correct. I do not recommend going here. I have lived all over Canada and never had such a strange and non-transparent experience with a vet. In my opinion they are only concerned about your money, they do not care about your animals, therefore putting your animals at risk.

We went there in October 2021 because our cat was having weight problems and we had tried getting her to move more and changing her food. So we figured maybe the vet would be better able to advise us. Wrong! She came back with ringworm and a prescription for hypothyroidism. Once we started the prescription, she began to loose her fur and got more and more sick. We kept going back, not understanding what was wrong, in the end we went to another vet that explained that she did not have hypothyroidism, that the medication given to her was only making her sicker. We had to put her down on May 2022. We trusted the vet and the staff at Tenth Line Animal Hospital, and the only thing they did is get 3k for essentially killing our loving cat who was only 8 years old. Avoid this place if you can.

Dr. Patel and Mackenzie were phenomenal when it came to caring for our small pet in his final moments. We were nervous to go to a vet outside of our home one as you want to make sure your pets are in the best of care behind closed doors, and the 10th Line Animal Hospital went above and beyond. Mackenzie walked us through each step, and took him earlier than his appointment with care. Dr. Patel even took time to come out and give his condolences. Thank you to the team here for putting so much love and care into your work here. If you’re looking for a vet who genuinely cares, I cannot recommend this establishment enough after my experience today.

This place is more concerned about you swiping your card than they are your pets. I'd give zero stars if I could.

Close to home and good service. On a few occasions they were able to accommodate last minute appointment request for my cats who needed to be seen urgently. So beyond grateful for this amazing service. One thing I did notice was the room I was in was a bit dirty on the walls and doors (just a minor thing I noticed) but I did see them clean the exam table between appointments. Overall I’m very happy with this vet and will continue to take my babies there. Thank you Dr. Patel!

So many better more compassionate vets out there. The vet over books themselves so youre stuck waiting 20 mins to an hour in a hot car with your baby. I had my cats eye misdiagnosed (aka there was nothing wrong but thanks for making us pay for a script)
We lost our one year old healthy fully vaccinated, spayed cat after the vet telling us she will be fine.
When we asked to have our records sent to a new vet they took their sweet time doing so and kept making excuses and being difficult about it.
Some of the staff are nice but this whole set up is whack. You can’t go in with your pet because they book 5-6 people in one time slot.
I don’t recommend this place at all.

Brought my bird here as they say they trear birds. Was prescribed a cream to put on my birds wound that basically poisoned him. Was told by an avian vet to stop applying cream immediately as i will eventually end up killing my bird. If you have a bird please do not take your bird here as they are not avian trained and they do not know how to treat birds. My bird became very ill once i applied the cream on him
