If I could give Tepperman’s a zero, I would. Bought an ottoman, and almost immediately my toddler sitting on it (keep in mind she weighs under 30lbs) caused the thing to have a collapsed corner. The foam is defective and cheap, and I asked for a refund or to exchange it for another kind. Was immediately told that it’s meant for legs, not for a tiny child to sit on, evidently, despite the fact that my legs weigh more than my daughter does. Their customer service is dreadful, and blaming my child for a cheap and defective product was a pretty low blow. Anyway, I have an entire house to furnish as a new resident of Sarnia, and Tepperman’s has ensured that I will spend all my money at their competitor going forward. Shocking level of customer service, even by today’s low standards.

Edit: the reply suggests that there is still something that can be done for me, when in reality, I already got a call saying there is nothing they can do. This is nothing more than a face-saving exercise by Tepperman’s to make it seem like they are doing something for the customer. If they wanted to help, they would have.

Promised me a date on my stove but would not write it on the bill. They write everything on my end down but dont hold them selves accountable. Anyway the stove didnt show, nobody calls, nobody cares. Another week goes by same ol story. I ask to cancel and refund the money and even thats a hassle. To many stores sell the same stuff to go back.

This past weekend I shipped at Tepperman's for the very first time looking for a ' Lazygirl' chair. My salesperson Mike was very patient and then allowed me to sit almost all of the chairs at my leisure. Mike would check on me, but was not pushy. He was knowledgeable and efficient. I know that when I am looking to purchase my next piece of furniture, Tepperman's will be the first I look. Thank-you Mike

I would never recommend anything that you have to have a warranty for. Teppermans sent the wrong information to the warranty company and they won't fix it. I have now been without a fridge for over a week.
The warranty company they use is no better at all. They keep saying oh someone will get ahold of you. We will escalate your concern. Still nothing in over a week.
This is the absolute worst service I have ever encountered.

Salesperson (Kyle) was fantastic!
However…customer support from Teppermans and Samsung are horrible!
Our Samsung fridge was delivered and the tiny screw for the ground wire was missing. My husband said not to worry, he’d put one in. After the delivery guys left…hubby discovered that the ground screw…was broken off inside and a new screw couldn’t go in. And our fridge wouldn’t stop beeping!

I contacted Teppermans who put me through to Samsung who said ‘not our problem’. Contacted Teppermans again…said they’d call me the next day…3 days later! (Our fridge stopped beeping after a few hours)
She told me that I had to once again contact Samsung…who once again said ‘not our problem’ that they’d text me the number for the store to contact Samsung and figure out what to do.

I’m still waiting for that text! Hours on the phone…no solution…no responsibility…All for a tiny ground screw!

Updated July 17/23: Received a phone call from Teppermans Customer Care, Mackenzie. She was very apologetic. Teppermans is going to replace the fridge and insure this doesn’t occur elsewhere.

Do yourself a favour and never buy from these crooks, I bought a 65” Sony Bravia TV on the 23rd of December 2022 less than two weeks from this the tv is no longer working, I called because I should be able to just bring it in and have them replace it but no, they said since it didn’t happen within 24-48 hours I now have to go through the manufacturer, this company is absolutely terrible, I also went to the store in sarnia and they said the same thing I’m never going to buy from here again and I suggest you rethink your options before buying from here anywhere else would have taken the tv back and given a new one BECAUSE THEY GAVE A LEMON!

I get the manufacturer holds the warranty but it’s basic customer service to correct the issue yourself now I have a non functional TV that I’m paying for and have to go through multiple headaches to get it fixed!

Purchased a couch with 5 year warranty without looking at the couch or anything told me I'm not covered because the seam exploding out the side of the couch is natural wear and tear.sales person who got me to agree to the warranty said if you have dogs you need this warranty your covered no matter what.

I recently made a purchase of a washing machine and the salesperson Scott Brooks was extremely helpful and talked me through the whole process. I went in the next day to sign the contract and was totally impressed with the customer service person that helped me. Bonita went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of in the best possible way. These 2 employees are a great asset to your organization and I will stay a loyal customer because of them

Dan Good had assisted us in replacing one of our units that had kicked the bucket. He was very kind, helpful, and provided reassurance on knowledge of products on new latest models. Better hope nothing you buy from here ever breaks. The company they hire out to handle repairs is sketchy and unprofessional, and they'll cancel on you a few hours beforehand, reschedule a week down the road, and have no way of contacting them directly.

Don't like it? Too bad! The customer service woman at Tepperman's is as unpleasantly rude as she is hopelessly disorganized.

All in all, it's been over two weeks since I've had a fridge now, and all I've gotten in the way of help is a bunch of broken promises, a shocking amount of attitude, and an exhausting display of sheer ineptitude. I support family-owned businesses whenever I can, but Tepperman's ain't it.

We always go to Teppermans when we need to buy new furniture. They are always friendly and curtious evertime we go in. Today we went into the Bargain Annex side of Teppermans and we were greeted by Scott I believe, I'm terrible about remembering names. But he was very friendly and happy to see us. Very helpful and knew what he was talking about. Always a great experience when we go in there.

I had a excellent experience going into the outlet store where I was greeted by Michael. He was knowledgable with what I was looking for and helped me in every way possible. He is everything you need in customer service. We ended up getting a great couch and dining set for our new home. Was a great experience and the salesman took time to explain all the ins and outs of mattresses and the adjustable bed. He even found a stool for me so that i could try a mattress that was a little too high for me to climb into. I'm vertically challenged (Short in everyday language LOL) Always loved shopping at Tepperman's and is our family go to for furniture since I was a child in Windsor

My husband and I recently had issues with our tv that we bought previously from teppermans and had to use our extended warranty. After much headache and run around from the warranty company, Bonita In customer service and Dave the sales manager got things sorted for us and I couldn’t be more happy with their customer service. It’s nice to know when things go wrong, there’s amazing employees at teppermans who will go above and beyond to rectify a bad situation. 5 stars all around

Not overly impressed. Extremely limited stock but I guess that's a worldwide supply chain problem. Quite pushy on buying overpriced and unnecessary warranties and protection plans. Need to dial that aggressiveness down 2 notches.

Bought a 75 inch LG TV for just under 3K. Purchase TV 3 and 1/2 Weeks and only have the box for 2 weeks. Screen went weird and called them for help. They told me they don't have anything to do with that and to use LG manufacturers warranty. That was a joke since I had to place over 18 hours of phone calls, expedited calls to supervisors, and emails just to be let down. Turman's is not doing anything about this even though the TV is under a month and their status is too bad too sad. I find they do not back the products that they sell and do not tend to want to help or replace items if it costs them money. I will not be back to shop there since this experience was horrible and I'm left with a $3,000 paperweight now and they're not doing anything about it.

The worst customer service, I was there twice, the first time was really busy and, I understood why no one approached to me. But I when agaig and I spent around 15 minutes on the same spot, the store was really empty and no one approached.

I went in knowing exactly what I wanted to buy, the website said it was in stock. I walked around the store looking for a sales person for at least 20 minutes. There was one lady on the floor who was with a couple. I had to go to customer service to get help. They walked out to the floor with me and they saw there was only one sales person on the floor. That sales person became available and walked over to two gentlemen that just walked in a few minutes ago. Not asking who was next, I was left standing there until another sales person came out. Easy sale here folks, yet I’m 25 minutes into my visit before I speak to anyone. Of course they didn’t have the item on the floor and their system said they did not have it, although the web site said it’s in stock. Perhaps in stock on their site means in the London warehouse. Not a great shopping experience. I would have left but I searched ever stores web site and this was the item that matched my living room and was the right size. Maybe don’t have just one sales person on the floor at one time. I’d understand if they had 3 or 4 and they were all busy, not the case here.

Buyer Beware! Went in to pay my account in full only to be told I still owed for a Life and Property Protection plan that I DID NOT purchase. I have always paid my accounts off in full before time alotted so why would I purchase a life insurance on myself. I purchased an upholstery plan not a life insurance. When I originally bought my sectional I paid for the difference to get the amount owing down to an even amount, so at time for paying I knew exactly what was owing. I will never deal with Company again. Had problems from the get go with salesperson now with this. Scammers they are! If im dead Teppermans would be the last people I would worry about paying. Will make this viral!

We went in to look at appliances (fridge, stove and dishwasher). Gord introduced himself and said to let him know if he could be of help. He was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Not at all pushy or hovering. As we walked past he asked if we had questions but otherwise he awaited for us to go to him. 30 minutes of looking on our own and then we went and closed the deal on our new appliances. Can’t wait for their arrival.

Staff in the main store are friendly and helpful. Although the Outlet only had 1 person working and many customers waiting. She was still friendly and told us she would be with us as soon as she could. She was really trying even under difficult circumstances. We waited for about 20 mins and there were still a few people ahead of us so we left.

I had pre-ordered a mattress, I didn't realize I needed a box spring too, Collin helped me get everything I needed.

I went in to Teppermans to purchase a refrigerator for my mom. I did. While waiting for the paperwork, I decided to apply for a Teppermans account (was approved). My husband and I recently purchased a refrigerator and tv from Teppermans. After getting approved and answer the security questions (only I would know the answers), I was then asked for ID. I do not possess a driver's license (I have epilepsy, not my fault), Canadian passport (I do not have one as I am American, and have a US passport, (not good enough), Ontario photo card (nope don't have that either, because I never had cause to get one, and you cannot have a DL (which I use to have), and an Ontario photo card at the same time. I do have an Ontario health card (with photo and signature). I do have a US passport (with photo and signature). I cannot help but feel that this is discrimination against me. Beyond frustrating! Mr. Tepperman, I truly hope that you read this and change some of your requirements.

Bough a loveseat. Sales representatives were friendly and helpful. They didn't have my selection in stock available that day but they found it at another location. They shipped it to the Sarnia store overnight for pickup the very next day. Excellent service. I would purchase from them again.

Staff is very knowledgeable, super friendly and willing to give you space if your not looking for something specific.

Amazing payment plan options available, would recommend extended warranty on all furniture and appliances. Utilized both a few times now and have saved us big $$ in the long run

Had a very pleasant experience large appliance shopping after the long weekends, Randy was helpful in guiding my selection to appliances actually in stock, harder when looking for specific items in you colour of choice.
Still waiting for the delivery (still well within the timeframe I was given, fairly short wait) but very happy to have it booked within a decent timeframe, I do know if you choose something back ordered the wait can be a bit much.

My first experience shopping was overall a success. I initially scheduled an appointment online to gain some information, however no staff member showed up for the meeting. I then sent an email inquiring and did not receive a response. My spouse and I decided to give it another shot and attended the store. We met with Mike in Sales who was very helpful. I would love to see the company bring in some more diverse options, even just online; ultimately we were able to find what we were looking for.

Bought a new washer and dryer from Dan Good. He is an excellent sales associate who was incredibly knowledgeable about the products. I will be going back to him as an appliance and electronic sales associate in the future, and recommend others to ask for him as well! However, I was concerned with the delivery.while prompt and efficient, the delivery people were not properly wearing their masks. In addition, they did not keep their distance, and would come right up to me to ask a question, etc. I put a mask on for both mine and their safety. We are in the middle of a worsening pandemic, and the company advertises its safety precautions. I think there are significant opportunities for improvement in health and safety (both of the staff and the customers) where masks are concerned. There needs to be better alignment with the safety precautions that the company advertises.

I phoned in my order as I was unable to find one of the items in the flyer at the correct price online. They were really busy so took my number and called me back. Placed the order, then they transferred me to the outlet department for the second part of my order, who also called me back. Once the order was placed, then the finance department called me back to take payment for my order. Super smooth and great service, much better then sitting on hold for a long time. Appreciated the call back offer. Thanks

The salesman was quite pushy. Tried up selling everything that we had picked. We knew what we wanted prior to entering the store, and with in minutes of being there he was trying to sell us a couch that was 1000 dollars more. Told us the one we wanted would be 2 months wait, that it wasn't in stock. Come to find out it was in stock and with that it carried a $250 rebate and we would have it the following week.
We also wanted an area rug that we had picked on line for $399, again right off the bat he said it didn't match our couch when it was a perfect match and the one he tried to off load on us was $700 plus $150 underlay.
We stuck to our plan and got the couch and the rug we had in mind.
We were also wanting a TV. Again trying to hype up the $2800 TV thats a must as its the one he has, glad he wasn't the TV guy. The TV guy was awesome informed us on what would work best for our space and didn't up sell anything.
As far as I'm concerned the first guy shouldn't have received any commission. And were supposed to be VIP customers. Bad taste in my mouth after that.

Was called and informed that my couch would be delivered on a specific Saturday. I went through the prep work of getting rid of my old furniture. They called back 5 days after confirming the delivery date only to tell me the couch would be at least another 7-10 days. So now I’m left with no furniture for the next 7-10 days. Absolutely no excuse. This will be the last time I ever order anything from Teppermans.
