Terry Howald Pools

Do NOT hire. They had no idea how our pool system was set up and ended up screwing everything up. Our hot tub emptied into our pool and the pump almost burnt out. They never called me back the next business day and we had to hire our pool installed to come fix the issue. They also do a horrible job of maintaining the pool. 90% of the time they completely missed all the debris in the corners of the pool. No attention to detail. They came back to get a piece of their equipment after we cancelled our contract with them. They called before to get permission to enter our property and I was in an appointment and was not able to answer. I came home to them in my pool mechanical room without my permission and they were worried they screwed things up again by removing their chlorine cell.

This company keeps sending me bills and adding late charges. They claim 2 visits occurred when in fact only one of which actually occurred. On that visit, their repair person broke the handle on my panel and I didn’t want them back. I took a picture and documented it. Jess with TH pools said it would be replaced. It was not, yet they keep expecting me to pay a bloated bill for work not rendered and damages they caused. I have evidence of a picture taken just minutes after the employee left my house as well as my initial email correspondence before finally giving up.

I visited Terry Howald Pools because I had a malfunctioning pool cleaning robot. Jaci was incredibly helpful! I didn’t buy the robot from Terry Howald Pools but she helped me contact the manufacturer. After a couple of weeks she went out of her way to call me and ask how I made out. I told her I hadn’t heard back from the manufacturer yet and was feeling frustrated about the lack of response. Jaci pulled some strings and managed to get ahold of the manufacturer herself and brought in the required parts for me. We have used Terry Howald Pools for pool openings/closings and also bought a new pump from them and all of our experiences have been incredible. The techs that came to the house were friendly and happy to answer my many questions. Would recommend!

What awful customer experience! So un professional. Would not recommend this company!

Called to see if they had some pool plumbing supplies I needed in stock. When I arrived at the store, parts were already on the counter ready for me. Prices were reasonable. Super Impressed with the service and knowledge of the employee. Top notch service in my opinion, compared to most of the other pool supply stores in town. Thanks for the great service again.

This company installed an inground pool for my neighbor. The man operating the mini excavator seemed drunk. He clipped and destroyed our deck and tore up our lawn. They did repair the deck but did an extremely terrible job. We now have screws sticking up in our deck. They also did not re-sod our lawn, rather just seeded it which they did not tell us they were doing, and it completely dried up.

I reached out several times over email with no response.

I am now left having to pay out of my own pocket to fix my lawn. I would not recommend dealing with this company.

Sam and his team installed a pool and did extensive work to our backyard. We were referred by friends and neighbours whom we trusted. We had a few companies coming over to give us quotes and I’m so glad we went with our guts and chose Sam. He has great taste and is very knowledgeable about everything. Every single person on his team was friendly, professional and on time with every step of the process. The girls at the office are truly passionate about all things pools. We cannot be happier with the final product and know that our backyard paradise will be enjoyed for years to come. I’m so glad the parking and A&W reviews below didn’t deter us. Happy holidays guys and we’ll see you again next year!
