I needed an area rug same-day so I searched online for nearby stores and found Terry’s Rugs. I am really glad I did. The service was excellent: they gave me time to look through their collection and offered their help. I wanted something with a hint of red, and I was thinking I’d be lucky to even find one so last-minute but I found a few I liked. They offered to lay them all out for me to see them in different lightning. They even offered taking it home for a few days to test it but I knew I’d be happy with it (and I am!). It’s really nice that they offer that option. You can pay over the phone after your trial period or on the spot. Fair prices too. They packed up the rug and brought it to my car for me which was really nice. They made the shopping experience really quick and easy; I think I was in and out within 20-30 minutes. I am glad to support a local family business as well. All recommendations for this store:)

Terry and his team took the time to show me all the rugs that would fit our space. They delivered the carpet for us to see if it was right for the space, were polite and I felt absolutely no pressure to purchase. They emphasized the importance that I should love the carpet I acquire. I feel they are honest and operate with integrity.

I was lucky enough to make Terry’s my first stop looking for area rugs. The service was top notch. I have to admit I was shocked when he allowed me to take the rugs home to make sure they were the right fit without paying for them first. You don’t see that anymore. Great selection as well.

I took my beloved handmade wool Indian rug to Terry’s after it suffered a terrible calamity. I was sure it would not survive. The team took great care of my treasure, washed, repaired and flattened. They did a fabulous job! All things considered, I feel their prices extremely reasonable, my clean and repair was under $300. Many thanks to the team.

Ils ont fait un excellent travail. Le résultat est superbe! Terry's Rugs provided great service when I was looking for some area rugs. I ended up purchasing 5 hand knotted of various sizes and I am very pleased with them. Being able to try the rugs at home before purchasing was very helpful.

I just bought my first rug from Terry's and had a great experience. Not only was I able to take a couple rugs home to see in the space for a few days, the staff were also very comprehensive in making sure that you got the right size for your space, asking for photos and making sure you already had the furniture before purchasing a rug. They also took the time to talk about rug care and spills. Great customer service, absolutely no pressure, he was more interested in me getting the right product than the most expensive product. Will be back when we get the new dining room set to find a complementary rug to the one purchased for our living space.

I was looking for rugs of a high quality and untypical design, having visited many stores already to no avail. When I entered Terry Rugs I was captivated by the art that was visible in each one of the rugs on display. Aspects of different cultures are shown in the beauty of each one. The quality of rugs is also top notch and the prices are very affordable. To top it off, the service that I received was excellent! I had the opportunity to compare and choose from rugs on display in addition to their catalog to select the one that was the best for my home. All friends who have since visited my home have asked where we had bought it.

We are very pleased with the cleaning that Terry’s Rugs provided on our living room rug. These guys know their business and rugs. It looks like new. You pay for what you get - a quality rug requires a professional and knowledgeable cleaning. You get that at this store. You can pay a lot cheaper somewhere else but you risk your investment. Appreciated the advice the owner provided on the best way to maintain the rug.

They have excellent service, and a good collection of oriental style carpets. (I did not look a the more modern, but they have that too) Very good taste machine made for a pretty reasonable price, and they also jave exquisite, beautiful hand made ones, for a higher price, but not unreasonable for that category. An extra is that you can try out your carpets without buting for a week, which is a great help to me.

We have been customers of Terry's for over twenty years. We have had numerous carpets - large and small, wool and silk - cleaned and repaired and have always been impressed with the level of knowledge and the quality of service. In particular, we are very appreciative of the expert advice he provides and his honesty as to which work should be done - or not done - to preserve the original beauty and value of the rug.

This place is amazing, they go out and beyond to help you get what you need. The best thing about this place is that you can take the carpets at home to try them, for a week. How cool is that? We love our carpets from them, we bought a couple two years ago and they look like new. Yesterday we bought two more at a very good price. Strongly recommend it!

We dealt with Terry’s Rugs when we lived in Ottawa and we were very pleased with the quality, cost and service received from Terry himself. We have relocated to Nova Scotia and recently visited friends in Ottawa and decided to stop into Terry’s. We ended up buying two more rugs and under-pad and received the same 5 star service as on our previous purchases. In addition they wrapped the rugs, and the under-pad which they pre cut, and made the arrangements to ship everything to us in NS. Once again it was a wonderful buying experience for us and I am pleased to recommend Terry, his staff, and his products with a 5 star rating.

We have just bought our second rug from Terry’s. We are so happy with their service. They have a large variety of rugs in their showroom and there were plenty of people to help with our selection. Terry did a carpet install for us himself and he did some top quality work. I think is increasingly rare these days when you look at the work contracted through big box stores like Home Depot and Lowes.

If you can, I'd recommend visiting his store and the products there to see for yourself. We will be going to Terry's rugs for every job first from here on out. He is a true professional, and we are sure that any work done for us by his or his company would meet his very high standards.

Wonderful service and fantastic work! I bought in a Kazak rug with bad stains from a pet accident, and also that hadn't been cleaned in many years. It now looks brand new! Very reasonable price for the work too. Thank you!

Trey was very brusque and rude when we visited his shop, and spent more time on his phone than even trying to help us out. We went down the street to another store and bought a beautiful Afghan rug. Don't expect good manners from Terry!

We replaced our staircase rugs at Terry's. Terry offered sound advice and recommendations, and we are very pleased with the results. Balking the modern trend of endless chains of outsourcing/subcontracting, where responsibility is often lost on the way, Terry runs his business the old fashion way - with integrity and honesty.

Picked up some carpets and more underlay for others we had at home. I thought it was a neat place, well run, and things were completed on time and correct. There is a feeling of trust which is "old school" but really welcome. We'd go back again, absolutely.

We are so relieved that we discovered Terry's Rugs for rug cleaning services. We have two traditional oriental area rugs that have been in the family for decades. We wanted to give them a thorough cleaning and repair damages to the fringes. Terry's revived our rugs back to new, as if they were acquired yesterday. Their colour is vibrant again, the wool is soft and conditioned, and the fringes were remade by pulling some fibers out of our carpet. We were astonished at the result, and couldn't be happier. You won’t find better prices than at Terry’s, without having to compromise on quality and design choice. Best spot in Ottawa for handwoven and machine made rugs! They insist that you take the rugs home to try them and make sure you love them before buying, showing just how much they care about their customers feeling like they have an addition to their home that they adore!

I've taken rugs here to be cleaned and repaired for many years. I love the atmosphere and the excellent customer service. The rugs come back clean and beautiful. Tough to walk out without a new one though!

Very friendly and knowledgeable.
They easily accommodated my family, kids and all and never pressured us into a sale. They very much had the right attitude to get return customers.
They also let customers take the rugs (1,2, maybe more at a time) home for a testing period before any kind of purchase to make sure it fits your personal space, lighting and colors correctly.

I bought at least 3-4 rugs from Terry, I love the variety and quality off the selections. The staffs is friendly and knowledgeable and happy to help. Terry himself is very easy to talk to and taking times to understand off what I wants and trying to achieve. The most important is he never pushed the sale and allowed me to takes the rugs home to see if it’s suitable without have to pay first. I highly recommended. Shop locals!

Other than big box stores this is the first outlet (for rugs) which offered to take home, try and bring back at no cost. I really liked their service. We have not purchased anything yet from them but I definitely recommend and will go there again for our next purchase.

I had an area rug cleaned here recently and I purchased two new rugs, one for my dining room and a smaller one. The one I had cleaned was overdue for a cleaning and it now looks great, so much brighter-amazing! This place has a big selection of rugs. The employees are friendly and extremely knowledgeable about all things having to do with rugs and carpets. They can advise you on anything and will ensure that what you purchase suits your home and your space; they will not try to oversell you. The rugs are priced well and the quality is great. I would definitely recommend them and would purchase from them again.

I came in asking about mounting a rug, thought it would be few $$$ here and there, instead Terry gave me the mount for free and explained how to put it up. Showed me around his shop. Very nice place to visit. 10/10 would be back again.
