Terry’s Your Independent Grocer Chelmsford

I watched an employee put new "best before" stickers over old ones on bakery items today. I only shopped here because they stock items I can't find elsewhere without a trip to Sudbury, but I'll be taking my business to food basics and making a trip for the rest. This place has gone downhill in quality of items and cleanliness since the change of ownership.

I have been there few times and got what I was looking for. Very friendly staff.

Prepared food is either moldy, or the lettuce is wilted/rusty (I have returned fruit cups/veg trays that had molded items the day I bought them) and outrageously priced even compared to other Independent's! Bagged salad selection is always old and picked over, seems barely ever stocked. They pack away fruit and veg long before closing.
The young staff is always hanging around and chatting instead of paying attention to customers and the language I've heard is quite vulgar.

Horribly massively overpriced and produce that isn't always fresh. (if it's already bagged, you can't see or check it).

Awesome experience! Great groceries at a great price. Service and selection next to none.

So much to choose from. Fresh produce, meat and baked goods. Wonderful environment.

Thank you for the bakery manager who knew exactly what I need and had it make right way! Finalky someone who makes sense in that department!
