Thai Express

The pad Thai I ordered was really disappointing. It had a bitter taste, and I suspect it might be because they used old or overused oil in its preparation.

Used to love this restaurant. Went in, no other customers, took them several minutes to acknowledge our existence. Pad thai was awful. Chicken was so overcooked and chewy, onions were so large and not completely chopped through. Very disappointed as this was one of my favourites in the past.

Always receive quality food at the Ritson location! Much better than the one at the Oshawa centre. Love their Pad Se Ew

This is the best Thai Express (in Oshawa by Costco) that we go to in the Toronto area. It’s excellent!

The owner and the staff are always really nice and the food is of excellent quality, hot and delicious every time!

Delivery option: vegetables in steamed dumplings smelled as if it were no good anymore and my thai soup tasted like dish water with vegetables. Partner is experiencing digestive issues the day after eating the Tom Yum Rice (requested mild/no spice) as I never ate the soup or dumplings. Do not reccomend ever again.

I ordered the chicken pad sew and chicken pad thai just over a week ago. Wasn't bad, but ended up with horrible food poisoning and in hospital. Won't be chancing that again.

I say not to go here, the food is very bad please change the cooks, careless staff because I ordered pad saw it was thrash, sorry to say this u take the money from us, please look into the quality please

Bad food and expensive. The vegetables was not fresh, it was sour. The rice was't fully cooked. Total waste of $15 for chicken curry. I will not return to this restaurant or recommend it to anyone.

I love how many vegetation options there are. Place was clean and not too busy. A little pricey.

Just ordered around 845 tonight (September 23rd 2022) I ordered a chicken pad Thai but there's an awful lot of tofu in it? Little confused how that happened since I never asked for tofu.

Very bad service and lie to customer. Big big sign in front of the restaurant advertising Sunday special. When my wife order the Sunday special. She was charge full price. When my wife ask what about the special. They told her it doesn't apply to the Oshawa location. What a crook. My wife was too soft to argue with them and took the order and left very unhappy. If I was then I will just return it and and ask for money back. You think you get a few cents more for this order and won UT the fact is we will never go back to this location. I will also tell everyone at my work (in oshawa) not to visit this location. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from. If you not being honest to your customer. You will not last for long.

This place is wonderful and I can't even complain about a thing. The store is extremely clean and well organized. Staff is super friendly and helpful and ofc willing to go above and beyond to help the customers. The food presentation is wholesome as they decorate it so beautiful I can't even explain by words you gotta try it out. The owner is super nice and I really appreciate all of your help! Hope to visit this store soon in the future!

We gave this place a couple of tries before writing this review. We ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Thairacha Pad Thai and Chicken Basil Fried Rice. The noodles were under cooked. The chicken was very chewy. Fried rice was very dry. The Thairacha Pad Thai was a totally different dish from what we have had in other Thai Express restaurants. Overall I would skip the place completely in future. I do not recommend this Thai Express.

Extremely disappointed with the service and food. I ordered PadSew (large noodles with Chinese broccoli, egg and added chicken) I noticed while they were making it that there was no Chinese broccoli and egg. The lady handed it to me and I told her I did not notice any egg or Chinese broccoli. She argued and said yes there is. I opened the box and ate at the seating area and there was one leaf and no egg! I went back and she insisted it was at the bottom. I asked for a plate and poured the food out. There was nothing! See the photos. She continued to argue and would not remake the order or refund my food. I will NEVER purchase food there again!

This is the only place I get fresh food in Oshawa I was very hesitant about this place as not all of their locations are good but both Oshawa location are amazing! Great food! Good service I appreciate this place they have good vegan options.

Love the Pad Sew! I've had one bad experience here and they rectified it right away. Great customer service!

Worst pad thai from thai express I’ve ever had. It is too sweet. The location at the Oshawa Centre is 10x better. Should’ve known when I didn’t see any East Asians cooking. Please hire people who actually know what they are doing.

Made fresh right in front of you, lots of selection, reasonably priced and tastes great.

UPDATE 2022: Still eat here all the time, still great food, made fresh right in front of you super fast. What more can you ask for?

This restaurant is my favorite. The staff are friendly, good environment and freshly cooked food. I totally recommend this restaurant to the families and friends.

I love Thai express but his location had consistently provided the worst service ever. The quality of food is extremely poor and I’m just really really disappointed.

I think this is hands down the worst thai express location in all of ontario. Their chicken is repulsive and is like eating elastic bands, their vegetables taste disgusting.first time ordering here i had to throw out my food because it was doused in this grainy sand like black pepper.second and last time was today because i was desperate for the cleanest option around.after 10 minutes of a jaw exercise trying to eat there chicken stir fry i threw it all up.somthing ain’t kosher bout this location, my body straight up rejected this disgusting “food”. Don’t go here.

Spicy tofu pad thai is my favorite and this location does it well! Friendly staff, yummy food, clean location, I love this place! I have returned twice and will return again for sure.

Food is pretty good and it can be same for all their franchises. At this particular location they did mess up my order a couple of times. I ordered chicken pad thai and the noodles were not cooked and the meal had no chicken. I returned my meal and was refunded, furthermore after speaking to one of the owners I was offered a complimentary meal on the house. Staff is friendly, pleasant and helpful.

HORRIBLE! The worst pad thai I've ever had. Too much sauce. Tasted and smelled awful. Smells like its drenched in soya sauce and oil. The tofu is over cooked (dark brown), they left the tails on the shrimp. No green onions. How can you screw up pad thai. Very disappointed

The worst pad thai I've ever had. It doesn't even taste like pad thai. I'll summarize

- burnt tofu (literally black burnt)
- no green onions
- bagged crushed peanuts
- absolutely drenched in gross processed sauce
- soggy noodles
- no lime wedge
- shrimp had tails. No cleaned
- the sauce had too much soy sauce
- chicken was thin and cheap

Save yourself wasted time and money. This place is terrible. My stomach hurt all night after eating this garbage

Picked up and order for friday night take away. Eaten at other locations and had an idea what to expect. Wow this location is incredible. Food was great, spicier (hot) than I thought. But I was warned. I dont leave a lot of reviews, but these guys did great.

Please don't order at this restaurant they don't care about health and safety. The way they pack your food for delivery through Uber eats shows that. I have been supporting this restaurant over and over by ordering food. And I kindly ask that they put my good in a seal paper bag for delivery, binstead they put it in a plastic bag and just it, anyone can tamper with good during delivery. I called the restaurant to ask why they didn't pack it they way I ask them to, the lady there was very rude and showed no care towards my concern. I will not be ordering from there ever again. And I also will be reporting this to the health Office.

They have kept a hot plate adjoining to cash counter, it burnt my hand by chance however the staff was cooperative and took care of my burn

Placed an order online.when i got there it wasn’t busy.waited 15 extra minutes after it said my food would be ready. I ended up having to go up to the counter and ask about my order because people were coming in after me and getting served before me.when i got home and looked at my food it was the complete wrong thing.i ordered mild and was giving spicy as well so i couldn’t even eat my food.will not be ordering from this location again.

I ate at Thai Express for the first time yesterday, the owner recommended two dishes, which were EXCELLENT, had enough to take home and re-heated for my wife and she LOVED it also, I only sampled the two dishes, but there were very tasty, the location was clean, the owners very friendly and helpful as I did not know what to order! WELL DONE, I will be returning!

Terrible fish pad thai. After even calling to request for fresh fish, not fried fish over and over. Terrible location. I love fish pad thai from thai express but this location is worst.

The spot is great and broad, the menu was delightful and the prices were very fair.quick, effective service and very amiable staff. I highly recommend this place.

Loved the food. My fav restaurant in whitby. Been faithfully dinning there with or without my family for 10+ years. Now under new management and I havent been back since. Will miss you guys!

I wish I could give 0 stars. They messed our order for delivery. I ordered vegetable pad thai and chicken thai general with white ride. We received chicken pad thai, girlfriend is a vegetarian so that didnt go over well. My order I received beef something with fried rice. $35 wasted but accidents happen not the biggest deal, customer service when contacting them through email gave me the same regurgitated line they put here with 0 cause to fix or do anything about it aside from thanks for telling us. Didnt even eat the foot the chicken pad thai was mediocre at best but wasnt eaten since as I said girlfriend is vegetarian. My beef whatever dish they gave me was less than adequate with an inability to put white rice when specifically ordered. Also ordered it spicy and it was just plain.

$11.38 and NO LOVE in the process. No flavour what so ever. If you like Thai food, this is fake Thai food.

Had the shrimp roll it had one split shrimp in it and the roll was not fresh. The pad thai was drowning in sauce. Overall very disappointing.

Got the plate that resembles general tso chicken. The chicken was stale and like rubber. Really hard to chew. Rice was not tender, but under cooked and dry. The sauce tried to hide it as it was drenched in sauce but stale over cooked chicken is noticable. Small black flies kept harassing. Service was nice though, but you go to a restaurant for the food, not the people.

Really enjoyed the Tom Yum soup. Friendly staff. Found the fresh roll quite dry but it had nice flavor.

I went there this week and the employee Russell was amazing! Super sweet and quick with my food. Definitely recommending this place to my friends

Even though the owner was there food was on the floor from previous custome. The staff were busy and very friendly so thank you. I reccommend this place.

I have been meaning to write a review about this location for a long time. Here I am in my car on this very hot day finally doing it. I love to come to this restaurant not for the food but for the young boys that work here. They are very courteousand efficient! I love that the restaurant hired local boys for that I will continue to come here. The food is good too and the place is cleaner than my house and I am a clean freak.

I love this restaurant so much. The environment is so neat, sitting arrangement is very convenient.

I haven’t had any issues with this restaurant. They always get my order right and the food is always delicious.

I've had food at other Thai Express locations but this one is by far the best. These boys enjoy what they do. The food is always fresh and tasty. Never a disappointment.

I ordered Vegetable Thai Rice. It is very oily and it was not made to the standard of Thai Express.

Incredible, I'm usually nice about how I talk about restaurants but I'm just shocked that in this day and age we know the issue with too much oil.and yet I can come to this particular place and clog my arteries.not mention plastic containers for hot food.well there you have it folks.off to the next place lol

This location doesn't know how to cook and they are using these weird plastic containers for take out instead of the classic cartons. Go to a different location. My boyfriend had the pad thai and his noodles were not fully cooked and I had the green curry chicken and it was bland and there was barely any chicken in it.

We are usually happy with this location. Not the last two visits for take out orders. Got them home and there has been an inconsistency in ingredients, even though ordered exact same. Tonight was beyond belief. Ordered 3 mini Thai soup with coconut. Got them home and two had NO BROTH the third very little. We were charged extra for the coconut milk (never been charged for it before) AND there wasn't any in it! I called to complain, met with a lack of interest or care, no solution except "come back and wellw make 3 more" (I live 25 mins away) or come in tomorrow and we'll make 3 more (like how would you know who was asking for free soups? !) Unacceptable. The place needs to get on top of their staff. Oddly, when the lady owner is in there's no issues.

It is now Wed Nov 14, I have tried to call the store as requested by the manager (as seen here in reply to my review). I cannot get the manager as each time I've called no one answered and the voice mail is full!

Had a good experience. Took a while to get my phone but the employee was very friendly and nice.
