Thai Express Restaurant Ottawa

I’ve been going to this location for a year now. I get the mini Tom-yum soup with shrimp. It’s under $8, and it’s worth every cent. Made before your eyes, and it tastes so good. Best lunch deal around!

Pad Thai tasted only like fish oil for some reason and had zero taste beyond that. Spent over $44 for two people. Won’t be going back to that location.

Ordered the red curry, it does not taste like curry in the slightest. Also there were random pieces of pineapple in it? It's like they're just guessing at how to make Thai curry despite being a Thai restaurant.

I have always loved Pad Thai Express until I went to the Carlingwood location. I went several weeks ago and they were rude. I thought maybe I just caught them on an off day, however today was more rude and enough for me to write this review. Rude, and ignored my ask and moved to the next customer, totally ignoring my excuse me. Pick another vendor to support!

This location was very cheap on all ingredients in the chicken stir fry I purchased. Was virtually tasteless, with only 3 small pieces of chicken, and mostly lettuce and carrots a couple small onions slivers and 2 green pepper slivers as well.

Will never go back here again. Asked for Spicy, and wasn’t even close to how it usually is at other locations.

What a rip off at nearly $15

No broccoli in the beef pad see ew. Went back and asked for it and was told too bad maybe next time.

Terrible service. I ordered a chicken pad thai with veggies, and they did not add the veggies despite charging me for them. When I pointed out the error, they insisted I ordered a spicy chicken pad thai. They showed me someone else's $12 receipt as proof even though I paid $14.67 and I was the only person there so there was no one else to confuse my order with. They didn't give me my receipt when I paid, but I knew I paid $14 and double checked the amount with my bank when I got home. When I insisted the receipt they showed me was not mine, they just told me to order veggies next time. If you order food here, get your receipt when you pay so they can't rip you off on your order.

This might be the worst fast food option in the city.

The worker is usually in the back ignoring customers waiting at the cash.

They run out of basic options. How does a Thai express run out of pad thai? Or tofu? It’s half the dishes.

They’ve tried to over charge me for items that are clearly listed for a lower price. And then blamed “the system” when they’re caught. Multiple times.

Just bad all around.

Only 1 person working. I stood in line for 15 minutes before I have up and went to a different place for food.

I ordered online and this store was showing open, when Went to grab it, it was closed and Haven't got any refund or any reply from online service or store as well, store tried calling them multiple time no one ever picksup the phone. Lost money and didn't get food. Terrible way of looting customer. I also complained about this on online forum, with all detail and no reply there either. And they say they want customer satisfaction.not seeing any efforts from there at all.

They were too busy on their smartphones to serve the customers. Then the food wasn’t even cooked! The cook tossed the chicken pad Thai in the wok for less than a minute, then served it to me.all clumped up and barely warm!

Worst experience ever. I’ll take the time to travel to a better restaurant next time.

I ordered the vegan pad sew from the one inside the mall. Firstly I had to wait a long time as the cook was inside and was ‘busy’. Then he comes, does NOT wash his hands and prepares the Pad sew in 3 mins. Needless to say but it was bland and tasteless. I had to add lots of hot sauce and ask for extra soy sauce to be able to eat it. I wouldn’t recommend it at all!

Awesome food, great service, the girl behind the cash was extremely nice, I made a mistake in cashing out, the tip was more than the meal I didn't notice but she did and give my money back, hard working honest people.

Terrible! The “fresh” roles look like they were made 2 days ago! The bean sprouts all had brown heads. I have pics but haven’t figured out how to add them. Really want you all to see. If anyone can tell me how to add pics, let me know how.

The chef with wide sideburn has some skills!
I loved the Chicken Fried Rice so much.definitely recommended!
